Fern awoke with the sun rays beaming down on her grey pelt. She gave a huge sigh and unwillingly hoisted herself up onto all fours. She shook some dust off her pelt and looked into the lake that lay before her. She had pulled herself out of this lake the night before and her cardboard box was no longer seen. "Well its a good thing I pulled myself out...I would have been fish food" Fern said nonchalantly. She had no energy to waste on emotions, plus there was no one around to hear. As quickly as she said that, rage fired up inside her. She couldn't hide her anger anymore. "I bet that evil lady would have LOVED for me to end up at the body of that lake! That WITCH! She growled, anger was heavt in her tone. She recoiled back after spitting out those words of venom. Such words should not have come out of a kitten's mouth. Crows flew overhead, pulling Fern quickly from her self-punishment.
Hmm...Maybe if I follow those birds I'll actually get somewhere-- her stomache growled and some food. She thought wearily. Her muscles ached from the unvoluntary late night swim and she hadn't eaten for four suns after Rosie left. Her kitten paws ached but she pressed on, hunger was her drive. She walked to the black top of the Old Road, and hopped onto it. It was hot but she didn't care. She looked around for any form of life then dashed off after the crows. Her paws ached underneath her, but the exileration of free flight took her over. The crows flew a bit faster so she picked up her pace. What else could I possibly be doing? No home, No company, no oneto hlep me.
Suddenly she smelled it "Food" she yowled and headed for the scent. It was a foreighn smell to her but her instincts screamed FOOD. She came up fast, until the scent swallowed all her senses. Her mouth started to water until she cam upon it. The corpse of a small brown rabbit lay at the side of the road. She was repulsed and quickly turned away while the crows feasted on their free breakfast. Fern suddenly felt more tired then she had in her entire life. She walked on looking for nothing inparticular, except maybe some hope.
A small tree was just within her reach, so she made her way toward it. The scent of other cats was stale but just in case she stepped lightly making sure no to disturb any nearby feline residents. She slowly pulled up under the tree and slumped down. She started to lick her dusty grey pelt and her front paws. She wiped her face to clean it.
"This isn't exactly the greatest start....Will I even survive out here? I mean I can't even take a nibble from a dead rabbit!" She was dissappointed in herself, but at least under the tree it was cool. She laid there for awhile, her green eyes scanning the area. OOC: Feel free to join in. She's a lonely kitten and could use a friend *hugs Fern*

Wow, I'm lucky. Why am I so lucky? The lean figure of an orange spotted cat. no: make that kitten, made his way along the path, his paws flicking up little bundles of dirt and he trotted briskly forwards. His pelt almost glowed in the heat of the sun, and he had to redirect his gaze in order to keep the sunlight somewhat out of his bright flecked golden eyes. His pupils were narrowed into slits to take in the least amount of light as possible, Robin Quickwhisker definately wasn't short of light, if anything. Although he was a bright, lively little thing, it seemed obvious to himself that a few cats wouldn't like him. That sense didn't seem to be proving itself true at the moment, it seemed every cat the orange feline met, he had quickly become friends with. It was un-natural. Ahwell. It was good, however unusual it was.
Robin loved the idea that he was unique. A one of a kind, orange spotted cat! He wasn't just a common cat, he was much more! He growled silently to himself and pushed these thoughts out of himself. Although (he belived) he was the only orange spotted cat on the planet, he wasn't any better than the other cats here. He continued to progress forwards. How many times had he been to this place? It was so scarily common, four times was it now? Anyway, he was loving it already. Especially this old road, other than the market and the forest this was the best place in Nenbrook! He was sure of it. This amazing road was like, his prime visiting place. It was perfect! There was grass to sleep on, and not much water...
Anyway, as he trotted briskly along, his gold eyes picked out a figure, who seemed to have arrived not long ago. A grey tabby this time, and, another kitten? Wow, this place was like Kittenland! She was sitting under a tree, grooming herself. Happy in the knowledge that she didn't look hostile, the small fiery young feline dashed down the road, slowing down when he approached the tabby. "Hi! I'm Robin Quickwhisker! I come here lots, it's kinda my home now. Soo, where do you live?" His brain realized there was an obvious answer, but he didn't exactly care. Anything to get a conversation going.

The sun peaked through the deep green shade of the tree as Fern had nothing better to do then clean herself. She was very much discouraged and couldn’t think one minute into the future. Doubt clouded her mind, and a growling hunger rippled through her petite tabby body. Thoughts spun endlessly around her head and she desperately wanted to be a kitten again, she wanted to be the kitten she was. The future just seemed to be bombarding her, making her have to grow up a little too fast. Onto other business, Fern sighed heavily and opened her mouth to sample the different scents around her. Maybe there’s some berries around here…at least I won’t have to kill them She thought harshly. She picked up a scent coming in with the gentle summer breeze, but it wasn’t berries-that’s for sure. The scent wasn’t even food. “Another cat!?!…He’s close by!” Fern perked up. As she lay in her patch of grass, she searched for the unseen tom. Narrowing her green eyes she caught a glimpse of an oncoming silhouette. His coat gleamed and practically shimmered in the sunlight. Fern didn’t move. His orange pelt mesmerized her; curiosity swirled within her emerald marble-like eyes. The joyous tom walked out of the sunlight and into the shade “ Hi! I'm Robin Quickwhisker! I come here lots, it's kinda my home now. Soo, where do you live?" . Fern looked around curiously to see who the tom was talking too, but his golden eyes remained on her. Ok, weird question…but a nice attempt. She felt a joy rise up in her when she realized this cat, Robin, was actually talking to her. For some reason this cat’s presence made her feel a whole lot better. She hoisted herself up, dipping her head to this unfamiliar cat she smiled and said “I’m new…my name is Fern…” Robin Quickwhisker? This cat had an end name!, but Fern’s mother never cared to mention an end name. She quickly panicked and looked around. The sun’s beams where bouncing off a nearby stone, the color resembled that of silver Sort of like my pelt….Silver Fern thought, then she moved her paw to see a small weed, the color of her eyes she once saw in a reflection. “weed…” She then returned her gaze back on Robin, her ears went back in embarrassment. “heh, Sorry. It’s Silverweed. Fern Silverweed. I was dumped here.” She smiled even after recalling the reason she was there, she was proud of her new stray cat name. Her eyes wandered up and down the orange spotted cat, the color was unusual to her but she admired the light color of his pelt. Hers was dark and dull and couldn’t even be compared to his. Curiously she opened her mouth just a sliver to catch a whiff of him. “This old road’s scent is very strong on you, why do you come around here?” Fern’s head tilted to one side. OOC: Thanks Robin!!

The sun is a curious thing to cats. Most cats anyway. Some love it - some hate it. The golden rays can warm a pelt, or annoy a napping kitten. It can light up a day, or just provide a fustrating light which would irratate a pair of eyes, no matter where they are turned. But, on this particular occasion the feline in question was glad the sun (once again) had managed peek through the clouds. Robin Quickwhisker managed to let the back end of his body drop, and he slipped into a sitting position. His long spotted tail curled around his paws for extra warmth. Robin hated winter, his short fur really wasn't an advantage in the colder months. In contrast, the snow was highly amusing. Although he had only expierienced one winter in his life so far: he wasn't exactly the mose expierienced cat in the world. He hadn't even encountered true friendship yet, or made a strong rival. The male kitten hadn't even had much of a crush on a she-cat for goodness sake! Yet, he was inwardly glad his life still stretched out before him.
A smile was still fixed warmly on his face as he glanced the other cat up and down. She was a good looking silver tabby, maybe a couple of months younger than he was. But what caught his eye most was her green eyes, they were so attention seeking! Well, she didn't make them light that but their emerald depths seemed to tranfix Robin's thoughts. He realized he was staring slightly, and he glanced away, embarassed. It didn't put him off completely though. “I’m new…my name is Fern…” Fern eh? Pretty. Robin didn't speak his thoughts aloud, but he was more than happy to evaluate this name in his head. He waited paitently for her to figure out he was waiting for a second name, but he didn't really mind. He just let his eyelids fall down very loosely and he enjoyed the warmth of the sun for a few moments. He basked merrily, he loved the insulated feeling of the sun on his fur, at times he wished he was a longhaired cat, or at least semi-longhair, so he would be warmer. Especially in the colder months. This was Robin Quickwhisker's first summer - he was born in early autumn. Although it did excite him to think, in just a couple of months, he'd be a full grown cat: an adult! He almost purred aloud, but managed to restrain himself from expressing his pleasure.
"Well, I guess I've met a few very interesting cats here," He mewed in response to her question, faking a more adultish voice. Robin was mentally experimenting, to find a new mature voice for when he reached adulthood. It was almost time for him to grow up, and he knew it. But, he felt a strange yearning to remain a kitten for a good while longer - he'd love that. But all the new things he could do when he reached one year of age excited him as well! It was amazing all the abilities he'd have: he'd seem a lot higher up as well, he didn't even need to feel so useless when talking to adults. He could even like, find a mate and stuff. Robin loved kittens, but yes, if he was going to be honest he desired to stay one himself. ooc:; You're welcome! :] Sorry if my post's bad, it's late here and I'm exhausted. x-x

Fern was taken aback as the tom had plainly been trying to sound like an adult cat. Fern giggled in responce. Robin seemed to be closer to hitting adulthood then she was. The thought of being an adult scared her....being an adult and being alone scared her to her very core. "Interesting cats, huh? I guess your right. I met you, your pelt is brilliant!" Fern thought aloud, realizing this she recoiled and quickly looked down at her paws embarassed. Silently she sat down as her tail flicked steadily back and forth. The orange spotted cat sat, basking in the glorious heat of the sun. Fern looked up again "Your very kind to talk to me, I was afraid I wasn't going to meet anyone around here." She sat closer to the shade of the tree while Robin sat closer to where the sun could reach him, she inched closer. Curiosity controlled her every movement and longing for a friend caused her to stop worrying and stare at this golden-eyed cat. Fern wasn't a fan of summer. She hated the humidity, how it made her fur stick to her skin. Her darker colored pelt didn't help keep her cool either. She much likely prefered autumn and winter over any season. She loved the feeling of the snow under her paws, the falling snow flakes hitting her kitten tongue. She especially liked the feeling of cuddling up with someone to keep warm, the feeling of her mother's pelt against hers. Her mother was the only cat she ever cuddled up against. She was born in early January and the snow had captivated her completley. Remembering the soft wet taste as the snowflake melted on her tongue, caused Fern to remember her own lack of water. She opened her mouth and to let the breeze cool it off. The breeze picked up to a faster pace and it smelled wet with an on coming storm. Storms were very common throughout this time of the year due to the heat, and the last thing Fern wanted was to get wet. Of course the thought of seeing Robin's orange fur sparkle with rain water was also very desirable. Suddenly, thunder rolled over all of nenwood, Causing Fern to flinch. OCC: Take your time Robin, There is no rush! Post when you have the time.

Winter, some say, some believe, is the complete opposite of Summer. The colder months of the year are loved by some of the population of Nenbrook, the sight of snowflakes wandering down from the skies can either make or break a cat's day. The weather and the seasons can truly affect a cat's future aswell. They can freeze to death, or collapse in the heat. Robin Quickwhisker thought a lot about his future. He knew he was growing up, but he loved being a kitten as well. He remembered all the things he had encountered so far, Dandi and Nest especially. He didn't want to leave them when h grew up into an adult cat, but they were younger than him and he would be an adult before them. But, what about when they were all adults? Would they still be friends? He hoped so. The orange cat loved company, especially the company of other cats he liked.
Robin's usually orange face went swiftly scarlet as Fern spoke again. But an embarrased half smile crept onto his muzzle. "Well, urrm, thanks. And yep, I know what you mean. I remember the first time I arrived here, I love company, so I guess being a stray in a place like this rrreaaallly suits my lifestyle!" His tone was light and comical again, incredibly immature just like usual. He dragged out the word 'really' to emphasize, but he grinned even more when he purred it. His ears swivelled around for a few moments, picking up any interesting sound. His golden eyes also mimicked his ear's actions, he was looking for something interesting to bring up. Some subject she might be interested in, this town perhaps, or? Hmm. This was a challenge.
"Awwww naw," he murmured, disappointed at the change in weather. The breeze stregnthened and began to whistle through his fur at an uncomfortable speed. A cloud momentarily passed over the sun, and for a moment the light of the day was quenched by the upcoming storm. He sighed, before almost jumping out of his pelt when a rumble of thunder rang through his ears. Robin's orange spotted pelt was stood on end for a few moments afterwards. "I almost thought we'd have a nice sunny day before! What weather do you like?" He asked calmly. The tom wasn't as estactic as before, but he still had a hint of light-hearted humour in his voice. ooc:; Thankies! :]

Fern starred into Robin's eyes, and felt just a little bit more optimistic of her future. If Robin could survive out here in Nenwood and still be happy, then so could she. "It would probably take me a little longer" Fern twiddled her paws. Maybe she could have a good future here, and Robin could be a good friend. Adulthood was very close, and even closer for Robin it seemed.
"But will Robin still act like the cheery cat he was now?or will I be so focused on surviving that I'll forget all the cats I hope to meet?....and Robin" Robin's presence was comforting and the last thing Fern wanted was to lose a cat that had the potential of being her friend.
Robin jumped a bit at the sound of the thunder, and Fern couldn't help but smile. Robin's statement and question pulled Fern out of her thoughts. His question was a nice attempt to get a conversation started, and Fern realized she wasn't being much help. "Oh, um well I like the rain, only when I'm not in it. Plus, I haven't had a drink in awhile so I'm actually looking forward to this storm." Fern giggled, a drop fell onto her brown and grey muzzle.
Robin's voice seemed less estatic and Fern guessed he wasn't a fan of the on coming storm. Fern peered up through the branches to see dark grey clouds blocking the sun. She had a sudden burst of energy and wanted to feel the stronger push of air through her fur. She looked back at Robin, saw that the orange tom was uncomfortable with the wind. She giggled "Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. I want to check out the storm a little closer." Fern then got up, crouched close to the ground, and launched for the closest tree branch. Pulling herself up she jumped from branch to branch, keeping her agile body aloft until she reached the top. Poking her head out from under the leaves, the wind rushed through her fur, and she picked up many scents.
"So this is Nenwood. Robin was right, a cat can get ues to this" Looking down to see if Robin still sat, she called down to him. "Robin come up here for a sec!"

Some creatures believe that the world should run on a basis where it's every creature for itself. Everybody completely on their own, no donating to charity, no helping out when somebody else could use it. Absolutely no world peace. If you're not strong enough to live and stand up for yourself. Some creatures are like that. Robin wasn't one of those creatures. A smile crept back onto his face, and he ducked quickly under the cover of a large tree. He wasn't the type of cat who enjoyed being wet. Not one bit. But, he was incredibly thirsty. A small shower wouldn't be too bad. But a small one. Where he wouldn't get wet... His thoughts drifted off to his future. The orange cat could hardly imagine the amazing oppurtunities he'd have aswell as all the disadvantages. In contrast of the possibilities, he would miss being a kitten. The though of adulthood still scared him slightly. Cats might start treating him differently... Not good.
"Well: I guess I'm not like you then! I really don't like water, I have an almost phobia of the stuff. It's alright in small quantities, but wow big lakes and stuff scare me. I also really hate being wet. Rain always sticks to my fur, determined not to be shaken off. Ahwell. I guess I can't control the weather. Nor can I believe it'll hit autumn soon. Summer always seems so short now, winter's always soooo long for me, it just seems to drag on forever! Anyway, I hope we'll have another couple of sunny days before the rainy seasons hit. I'll miss the sun on my pelt," Robin happily rambled on about what he thought about the seasons and the weather in particular. He didn't really even consider holding back. Why shouldn't he be open with Fern? She seemed nice enough. I really need to find Dandi again sometime, The tom reminded himself rapidly. He had enjoyed the little conversation they had, and even though they had only been apart for a couple of days, he still missed her.
The pair of golden eyes redirected themselves over to the silver tabby, and Robin quietly took in her words. Curious, he padded forwards slightly and bent his head back to watch her climb. When she had reached her target, the orange kitten couldn't help smiling. She was a decent climber, he couldn't help he might have a little more trouble. Bunching up his muscles, he powerfully propelled himself upwards, and sunk his long claws into the bark as soon as it hit. His back limbs scrabbled at the trunk, attempting to ged a good hole. Finding a curve in the bark, he leapt again, his time landing on a thin branch. Robin gasped as the brach snapped from the tree, but in a furious frenzy to escape; he managed to hook one paw over a stronger branch. Breathing a little too rapidly, he lifted himself up and sat on the thick branch. He was only about half way up the tree, but it was some progress. Robin lifted himself up and balanced on his tip toes, his tail up for extra balance. One last pounce, and, yes! He felt the rough texture of another branch under his pads, and without hesitation, he pushed himself into another jump. Before very long, he had reached the same height as Fern. "Phew, that was a challenge," he purred comically, grinning throughout.

Climbing...what a way to escape the world below. Fern loved to climb, it seemed like a form of release to the bonbage of the world below. In her old human home she'd find alternate ways to climb to the top of the roof. The wind brushing through her fur she felt like anyhting was possible. She grinned and sighed happily. There was many trees in Nenwood and she felt her hopes pick up. She constantly wanted to know where she was, her paranoia not letting her live in peice without that knowledge. The tree bark was hard and smooth under her kitten pads. Looking down she heard some scratching noise at the bark of the tree. "Robin? Are you ok? Fern looked down, concern in her emerald eyes.
She tilted her head to get a better view below the leaves of the tree, and before she knew it Robin sat right beside her. He smiled warmly to her. She had felt like Robin had really opened up to her and she suddenly felt like she wasn't alone in this world of Nenwood anymore. "So this is your home...Do you enjoy it here?" Fern looked on past the humans houses and onto the wooded area in which she desperaatley wanted to venture. Maybe Robin would teach her how to hunt That is if he knew how to himself Fern thought, a smiled creeping up onto her grey muzzle.
Have you been to the woods yet or have you just been hanging around here waiting for some new stray kittens to arrive, huh?" Fern giggled and sttod up on all fours. "Ready to go! I can't stay here any longer. How am I supposed to start my new life here if I won't leave this tree, right?" Fern nudged Robin's side with her nose and steadily headed back down the tree, watching Robin closely, making sure he got down off the tree safely as well.

Magic's paws bounced as he trotted along the old road. Above him the sun was shining brightly, creating small blankets of warmth that spread over him. Small triangular shaped ears were pricked on either side of his head, listening intently to the sounds of nature. His tail was held up slightly, the soft fur billowing in the breeze. Blades and pelvis rolled easily with each step as he made his way.
Large expressive eyes were locked a head of him, picking up the faintest movement. His nose picked up the faint scents that wafted to his delicate nostrils. Above him, the sun dipped behind a few clouds, briefly engulfing him in semi darkness. Magic was out , just hoping to find some one interesting to talk to. He hadn't met many cats in his journey so he was hoping to bump into someone now. One ear cocked to the side, as he heard a rustling in the bushes. He turned his head quickly to the side and realized it was only a small rabbit.
He pressed on ward. Paws hardly making any noise as he trotted. Suddenly his acoustics picking up the faint murmurings of talk a head of him. Curiousity got the better of him and he headed toward the sounds. When he reached the area, he spied a she-cat and another tom. Magic cautiously approached them, now slowly loping , unsure if they would want his company. He reached a respectable distance before pulling his hindquarters into a sitting position, letting his long silky tail wrap around his back legs, twitching on occasion. Forelegs came to the front of his chest, keeping up his upper body erect. Ears turned toward them as he began speaking to them softly.
"Hello there. I'm Magic. What are your names?" he asked kindly and glanced from the She-cat to the Tom and patiently waited for them to talk again.
He hoped they weren't the ones that were arrogant and stuck up. Those types of cats Magic tended to stay away from. His long whiskers were nicely stretched out over his lip and lightly tickled his fur around his neck. Blue orbs watched the two felines before him, waiting for them to respond.

Four sets of long claws sunk into the tough bark, and the silhoettes of two cats seemed to be perched perfectly on the branch, looking out at the landscape before them. A pair of golden eyes flickered over to the other feline, smiling. "Don't worry, I'm fine," he comforted, his voice light and springy. His breathing was still rapid and quick, but he was calming down now after his big climb-a-tree adventure. Robin Quickwhisker listened intently as the silver-grey she cat beside him asked him about his home. What a place to live! He planned his answer carefully, there were so many amazing things about this place! The food, the atmosphere, the residents... Everything seemed perfect. Wait - how could he sum it up in one sentence. He resorted to his usual, cool yet comical way of speaking. "Yeh, I do. It's great too, you can run around like crazy, as much as you like! No annoying adults can stop you!"
"I have been to the woods - with my bestest friend Dandi. It was amazing! Huge, with all these trees, and stuffed with all these mice! We haven't tried to hunt yet, although I can, we were just messing around." The orange cat prodded Fern with his paw, a challenge in his eyes. Oh dear. Now, going up had been hard enough. Now, he had to get down. Bunching his muscles, he glanced down the tree. Picking a target he scrambled down a couple of pawsteps, his long claws srabbling at the trunk. Robin paused, and tested a branch with one of his fore-paws. Good. It could probably hold his weight... Probably. As he cautiously padded forwards the branch wobbled dangerously. He bit his lip and hoped for dear life, but it held him. Glancing around, he targeted another branch. A small spring took him to a lower branch, before he decided his plan of action for making his way down the remainder of the tree. He jumped onto a bare part of the trunk, and stood almost vertically, with his claws secured in the wood. Using his back legs, he almost ran down the tree, finishing his performace by jumping the rest of the way. His lithe orange body flew across the grass, and uncontrollably he almost crashed into another cat! Robin was certain Fern had been nearer the tree. He found himself looking into a pair of blue eyes, and he backed away, embarrassed. His mind was so fixed on getting down the tree - he hadn't notice this fluffy feline arrive.
As the tom introduced himself, Robin smiled nervously and decided to speak up. "Sorry about that... Anyways, Hia Magic! Nice name by the way. I'm Robin. Robin Quickwhisker." He spoke with a grin, cool and calm yet humorous and welcoming. The spotted kitty made sure he showed all the correct body language, he didn't want to scare this newcomer. "Are you new to Nenbrook then? I figure I might need to give you the offical welcoming," His voice was a comical purr. Robin, obviously, loved company. Of cats he knew, or total strangers. He exchanged one last smile with Fern before turning his attention back to Magic.

The young tom growled to himself as he took cover under some trees. Just my luck! The rain will wash away trail... It was bad enough that he had missed the three squirrels and two birds he had come across, but now the water would cover the scent of the rabbit he had been tracking.Cedar had been hoping that if he followed a rabbit back to its burrow, he could crouch outside and ambush his prey. The tabby's golden pelt was starting to cling to his body and reveal the his real state of health. He hadn't eaten in two days and his ribs were starting to show. At least I'm under weight and not starving.. he mused, his green eyes glimmering in amusement. His ears drooped a little as he realized what he would have to do. He changed course, his paws pointing toward the upright-walker's colony. He had trotted many fox-lengths before he caught sight of three cats. His eyes narrowed and faint tremors racked his frame. The young tom crept into some brush and watched them. There was two toms and a small she-cat among them. Maybe one of them had food? He weighed his options before deciding. Anything was better than Twolegs. He crawled as close as possible to the felines before charging out of the brush, his wet fur clumped and bristled. His dark ears flat against his skull, fangs bared and hissing furiously.Cedar looked crazy as he rushed the clump of, his emerald eyes flashing.

Magic grinned at the tom named Robin. He shifted his weight a bit. A gentle breeze blew his patches of fur in all directions. His tail swept behind him across the ground, twitching as though it had a mind of its own. Suddenly, his ear cocked back as he heard another tom hiss and launch himself toward the group. Magic immediately popped up onto all fours and swung his hindquaters toward Robin as he glared at the other cat.
Magic didn't know what this other cats problem was, but he slowly tucked his hindquaters back down again onto the ground, letting his own harks pin against his skull. There was absolutely no reason why this other cat had to be rude, but Magic bit his tongue and remained sitting beside Robin. His forelegs kept his upper body erect. He grinned back at Robin.
"I appreciate the welcome," he said lightly and jokingly to Robin.
He was glad this Tom had made the attempt to be friendly. Perhaps the other Tom was having a bad day? Ok that made sense or else he was more than likely just like that overall. Best to stay away from him period. Magic thought to himself, raising a furry eyebrow at the other Tom but still refrained from speaking to him until he made the first move.
He glanced to the she-cat who hadn't spoken yet. It was possible she was shy too, surrounded by so many males. He knew if he was a female he would be a bit overwhelmed as well. Still Magic kept his body language friendly and calm, to show that he was really meaning no harm to anyone here. His tail continued to sweep across the ground behind him as he turned his attention to Robin and the She-cat, also this new Tom that had so 'colorfully' introduced himself to the group. He wouldn't give this new cat reason to start anything, but if his buttons were pushed the right way, he would defend himself no matter what.
"So Robin, May I ask a little about yourself?" Magic asked curiously cocking his head to the side in a curious pose. Ears were cocked forward, showing Robin respect and attention. Above, the sun now dipped behind a few clouds, briefly engulfing them in semi darkness. The air was cool and crisp, and weather was nice which he knew probably wouldn't last very long anyway. Specially once the winter came rolling in. A faint shiver ran down his spine, at the mere thought of that but tried to focus his attention on Robin while he patiently waited for him to speak.

As Fern stepped lightley onto the grass from her previous tree-climb she looked up to see a fluffy white tom sitting in her path. "Oh! Hi Magic. I'm Fern Silvernweed. Welcome to-" Fern bounced toward the handsome blue-eyed tom, but was interrupted by a falling orange clump of fur. Robin? She mewed with surprise. She looked at Robin and back up the tree where he was last and silently wondered how he got so far. As Robin apologized and introduced himself, Fern looked back to the two toms. Robin looked back at her and smiled, and Fern decided once again to get closer to the new cat. Fern took her place next to Robin and dipped her head toward Magic, his blue eyes stole the attention.
Fern shook with exitement, but planted her paws in the ground so she would keep herself from bouncing around and startling the new tom. "Another friend!! Fern smiled sweetly to Magic, looked to Robin, and looked up at the blackening sky. It started to drizzle a bit and Fern opened her muzzle wide enough to let a few drops creep their way into her mouth. "Finally new rain... The humid air from the storm swept over the small side of the road where the three cats sat. As Robin and Magic conversed Fern sat and waited for her turn, keeping quiet to be polite. She waited and opened her mouth to drink in the scents of her new friends for future reference if they were to seperate and meet again. "Robin, Magic,......whats that!?!" Fern's ears perked up and she steadily looked past Magic into the shrubs behind him....and she saw him. Another cat was ready to lurch himself at them. Magic noticed to and swung around to meet the tom. He kept his body language friendly but was ready for attack.
Fern's legs were locked beneath her, but as the tom lurched his body at them, Fern bunched her muscles beneath her and bounded over Magic and right into the tom. She lost track of all thought and without thinking before she lept both hit the ground and rolled to one side. Fern pulled herself up and as scared as she was, hissed and pulled her ears tight against her head. "Robin! Magic?"

The golden tabby hesitated slightly when the multi-splotch tom swung his way.It was obvious these cats had no food and that they were more than prepared to defend themselves. But before Cedar could turn around and beat a hasty retreat, he was bawled over by the grey tabby. He went limp on reflex and submitted to the she-cat.He lay under her, trembling and growling. When her scent, which before had been covered by the rainwater, hit his nostrils, his green eyes widened and he whimpered, mouth open to inhale her scent. ...F-fern? Is that you? In his surprise his fur flattened and he had gone from looking ferocious to looking like the bedraggled kitten he really was.
