A small spring lies near the top of the mountain and feeds a small stream which grows in size as it winds through rocks and moss on a small plateau. It widens out to be several cat-lengths in width before the rock beneath it plummets downwards in a sharp cliff. The water crashes over the cliff's edge in a booming waterfall, the great sound of which earned it its named. After a while, the water calms, flowing down through the hills to the woods, where it is named Thorton's Stream.
