Her human had long ago sped away, leaving her in the dust it had created. And yet she had still not moved.
She'll come back for me. She'll get tired of the kitten, and she'll come back for me.
She knew it was folly. She knew that her human would never come back, that the kitten Hans had fully, totally, incurably shattered her life of comfort into a million shards. But she would have nothing if she didn't have hope. So she sat, and she waited. It was what she had done every day for her life. She had waited, waited for something. And now she waited some more.
She was tired of waiting.
So she got up, and she started moving. Her paws hurt, but pain could be ignored. She had to find a place to call home. She had to find....something. Something that would make her life just as rich as it had been only moments before.
But that life was a million miles away. Her life was here. Her life was now.
So Rain walked, carrying all the hope she had, ready to make her way in the world. She carried her burden lightly, for she didn't have any way to do it. A smile was on her face, though, as she set off. This was big. This was huge, enormous.
This was an adventure.
Rain continued down along the road, having nowhere else to go. She fell into her own little world, and in that world she was fighting off giant spiders, rats, and other creatures, all for the cause of good.
She didn't slow as it started a gentle rain. It didn't bother her, she actually quite liked how it felt. She continued to walk and fight.

I've got Violet walked at a slow and steady pace down the road. Jumping for cover, a cat went flying out of the window of a passing car. Violet could see the pang of aloneness in the cat's eyes. That was how she felt, how she felt before Rowan. Before her happily ever after. She could see this cat fighting not to lose herself in sorrow. Wincing, the other cat began to walk. Violet followed, quite behind. Falling on her pelt and cleansing her spirit, the rain came down in gentle drops. Tickling Violet's insides, they made her smile uncontrollably.
After a few minutes of following this she cat, Violet finally caught up to her. This she cat seemed slightly bothered.
"Hi, I'm Violet, I just saw you being dropped here by your owners, I'm sorry, It must feel hard. But I'm here for you, I've been living here for a while." Violet smiled at this femme. Harder an harder the rain fell. To Violet, she could imagine little cats parachuting from the sky, landing on her back, and than tickling her.
But soon the icy coldness that comes with rain spread over Violet and sent shivers through to her paws. She lifted her paw off of where she had been standing, revealing a dry paw print. But soon the rain vanished it and Violet smiled. She loved meeting new people, especially people who needed help. Helping people made Violet feel proud.
Was that normal? Did normal people feel proud? Or did they feel happy for the person? Well, purple eyes were defiantly not normal. So... who cares thought Violet, and she returned to the matter at hands.
"It a nice place here, I fell in love" Violet couldn't help but brag.

She turned to look at the other cat as she spoke. With the rain, she hadn't heard her coming. She smiled at her, enjoying the company.
"I'm Rain." She didn't know what else to say. So she walked for a little while longer, trying to save her tail from an uncomfortable silence. "Who did you fall in love with?"
The rain was falling harder now, drenching her fur. It would take hours to dry off, and even then be annoying. She had to talk loudly to be heard.
Her hope increased slightly. If this cat had found love, found someone worth living for, maybe she would too. She waited patiently for Violet to reply, wondering what Violet's love was like.
ooc: sorry for how wipy it looks, it looked a lot better in my head.

He didn't complain as he was placed gently on the ground in the box. Didn't even let out a small mewl of sadness or tilt his head so he looked cute. He didn't want to go back, this was perfect, in fact it was happening to slow for him and it was hard to stop his tail from twitching in agitation. His eyes never left the stony face of the man until he had gotten in the car and driven away. The man did not look back but Hawk was ready if he did, he would give him the look, it always worked. But he never got the chance because the car drove away and the man did not look back. The dust was blocked by the box, Hawk cringed inside and then waited before pricking his ears for any sound.
finally!
A grin flickered on his face at the prospect of being on his own and living his life but it was washed away with the onset of the rain. His ears flicked back spraying his pelt with the droplets that had collected on them, making him shiver. His feet slid apart and then stopped when his claws dug into the sodden cardboard. Shaking his head in disbelief he glanced up to judge the height of the box and then leapt free.
oops.
he landed against the side of the box and then scrabbled free, he had forgotten about his size when considering the leap. At a small 19 cm he still had a ways to go before he reached his dream height of 24, being a runt was not on his wishlist. Taking a step forwards he shook each paw and then looked up finally seeing the two silhuettes before him. "He-" his jaw clamped shut and he stared ahead in thought wondering if it was safe to bring attention to himself.
"Hey! Wait up....please..."

Rain paused. Someone else had spoken, not her or Violet. She swiveled her head around, trying to pinpoint the sound in th epoaring rain. She saw a cardboard box, with a cat near it. Rain stopped, turnign around to face the cat fully. He seemed older than her, but she couldn't be sure. She shot a quick glance at Violet to see if she was still following closely, then headed to the other cat.
"I'm Rain. What's your name?" She stopped a few feet from the other cat, and looked ove rhim. He was soaked, as she was, but that didn't concern her. He seemed older than her, but she was taller. Whatever. He was another companion for her, another one to share her adventure with. She smiled at him, waiting for the reply.

ooc- I don't know protocol for ooc chat but the age was changed sorry
Water fell off in in sprays as he began to trot steadily towards them, slowing once the first she-cat stopped in front of him. Daunted slightly by her size he tried not to cringe in front of her but failed. Opening his mouth to reply he began with "Hawk" he replied, yowling slightly so his voice would carry across to her in the rain. He held her gaze and then glanced nervously behind her to the second cat who had not spoken yet, both females and larger then him just my luck.
She seemed nice enough and if it wasn't for the color of their pelts they would have all looked the same in the rain, sodden and wet. yet there was something different about them that seemed to make him feel better, they didn't seem to be brought down by the weather, if anything she seemed ready for anything. He realized moments later that a broad shy smile had appeared on his lips and his teeth were gleaming in the rain. Stopping himself he flicked his gaze to the ground and then looked up again to see the reaction, cautiously taking a few steps forwards.
"Who's the other one?" his head flicked forwards motioning to the other she-cat, silent, behind Rain.

Violet watched rain react to her bragging. "Sorry, couldn't really help but brag, his name is Rowan... Brokendaze" Violet giggled. Not bothering to turn around at the sound of commotion, Violet continued down the road with rain. Interrupting the silence, a voice broke out Hey! Wait up... please... Violet turned around to see a young cat, a bit younger than Rain walking behind them. Violet listened as Rain introduced herself to hawk. Violet somehow felt that the two would become great friends, or maybe more...
Pausing to take a breath Violet introduced herself. "Oh, I'm Violet.... er um.... wildflower?"
She had never really thought about if she was going to change her name to Violet Brokendaze, she wanted to, but maybe she should talk to Rowan first. Continuing down the road with Hawk and Rain, was quiet for a few moments before Violet burst, "Anyone hungry, I could, um, take you two to the town dump,"
They must be hungry, they probably haven't eaten for a while. Once she dropped them off at the dump and educated them about living in Nenbrook, she would return to Rowan, her Rowan. Violet liked the sound of that.

Rain nodded at Violet. "Food would be nice, I haven't eaten since this morning." She looked over at Hawk. Are you hungry?" Now that she looked at him, he seemed younger. She turned around and set off walking, knowing that sooner or later Violet would take the lead, and hat Hawk would follow. She had barely been around htem, and yet she found that she was enjoying herself. She shook some water off of herself, trying not to splatter the others. She was soon sodden again. Sodden she was, and sodden she would remain for a while longer. She knew that any others, her group included, where just as sodden as her from being caught in the rain.

His ears pricked at the sound of the second cats voice yet his found his gaze holding on her eyes for just a moment, they were purple. A shiver ran down his spine making him quiver for a moment till it had passed. Violet Wildflower and Rain Windsky he played the names over in his head so as not to forget them but didn't listen to the conversation until, "Food? yes, I"m hungry". He perked up slightly at the mention of getting something to eat and watched Violet and Rain intently until they moved.
Waiting till they had gone a few feet ahead he splayed his feet and shook himself hard from head to tail. Once finished he looked up at the sky and glared at it before the rain in his eyes caused him to look back down. The she-cats were already ahead of him, not casting a look back down the road at his old life he leapt forwards to his new one and trotted briskly yet silently beside Robin.

Hearing their responses, Violet lead them down the road. "I'll drop you off the dump, but then I have to go." She smiled at them. She had made two new friends. Down the winding road, she lead them towards the town. Her pelt felt heavy with the raindrops stuck in her fur. Playfully, Violet shook her fur of on Rain and Hawk. Sticking her tongue out at them, she ran down the road after tagging Hawk and saying, "You're it!" She could feel him chasing after her. And she pelted for the dump, making sure they were following. She skidded to an abrupt stop once she reached the dump.
Where's a good place to hide? thought Violet. She needed to find one quickly before Rain and Hawk saw her. Diving into an old tire, she flattened her body and curled up inside. Violet couldn't wait to see the look of surprise on their faces when she jumped out and surprised them.
She could hear paw steps coming closer towards here. Violet giggled to herself before....
BOO!

Hawk froze as she tagged him and then watched in shock as she pelted down the road before casting a confused look at Rain. "Wha-" It felt wrong to be playing a game at a time like this but his want to run took over and in just a moment he too was flying towards the dump, though much more cautiously then Violet. His eyes narrowed once he reached the dump and gazed down at the ground, her pawprints were quickly vanishing in the rain. Gasping slightly from the exertion he rested for a second, taking the time to glance back and make sure Rain was still with him, being alone was not something on his mind at the moment. Once assured of her presence he threaded forwards into the dumpster, scaling every inch of what he could see from his position. With his eyes in the air he didn't even notice the tire to his left "Boo!"
"Ahhhh" he yowled in fright, tripping in his attempt to get away. He found himself laying in the mud looking up at Violet wondering where she had appeared from and then noticed the tire in which she stood. He stayed silent for a moment and then grinned, opening his mouth in a wide smile to let forth the laugh that had grown inside him. "Nice" he purred, at first he had been angered by the mud but the rain washed it away. Looking around himself he was suddenly fearful of being left alone in the huge dump, not knowing where to go, his fear showed on his face for the others to see.

She laughed as he took off, and quickly sped up to follow him. She skidded to a stop in the dump, to see him in the mud and Violet by a tire. She smiled at them, then sighed.
"I can't smell a thing in this rain. How 'bout you guys?" She looked at them both, her eyes flitting form one gaze to another. She decided to take evasive action against the rain, and walke duner a junk overhang. She lied down and promptly started to groom herself.
She stopped after she decided that her fur would jsut have to dry on its own before she could get clean, and stared out into the rain. It blurred everything, making it seem....different. She gave a murt, and started to purr as she waited for her friends to join her in the dry cave.

He watched at Rain headed for te shelter and reluctantly stayed where he was. The rain was slowly washing te mud from his pelt and although he shivered he would rather sleep wet then wet and muddy, he also guessed Rain and Violet wouldn't like it if they had to sleep with a muddy tom. Nodding his head to show he saw he turned around and began to lick the mud off to quicken the process. A shiver passed down his spine and his teeth began to chatter together before he finally dove towards the small makeshift den. Once underneath the protective roof he stopped though, not wanting to get Rain or Violet wet again. "Good thinking" he purred and then remembered her first question "Even if I could smell, I doubt it would do me much good, I've never hunted before" his voice held a bit if sadness in it but there was also a gleam in his eye at the mention of hunting. "are you leaving now, in the rain?" he flicked his gaze on violet and then wondered if he and rain would be okay without her.

Joining Rain in the shelter, violet lay down on the dry earth and perked her head up contently. Listening to Hawk, Violet sniffed the air, and as she suspected, the only thing she could smell was the fresh scent of rain. "Nope, can't smell a thing either." Staring out into the rain, she saw puddles of muddy water, growing with time.
A bone chilling thought washed over Violet like a cloud. What if- if- it floods? Pushing that horrid, terrifying thought to the back of her head Violet tuned herself into the present. Hawk was speaking, and Violet couldn't argue with his words. She shouldn't be traveling anywhere in this kind of weather. "You're right Hawk. I really shouldn't go in this weather"
Gurmble
Violet looked down at her stomach, she could feel the hunger wearing at her. Sniffing the air again she still failed to scent anything semi-edible. Maybe the man at the shop? No, his shop would probably be closed in the rain. But, then again, humans sometimes did weird things. She might as well go and check it out. "I'll be right back guys, just going to get some food, if anyone wants to come, their welcome to" Pushing herself to her feet, Violet braced herself for a strong torrent of rain. She felt it on her pelt and not long after, on her skin. It was seeping into her.
Turning a corner around the dump and found herself in the market. A familiar scent hung vaguely in the air. Recognizing the stall, violet realized that it was closed. But that wont stop me! Violet dashed to the back and scampered up on the table with all of the meats. Hmmm..... There were so many options. Maybe she should grab extras, you know, in case the storm holds out longer than expected.
Grabbing a chicken breast and a steak, Violet dashed through the Rain and into the dump, and into the shelter "back"

His visibly relaxed at her reply and then turned his attention once more to the rain. Watching it fall seemed to calm him now that he was drier and wasn't worrying about it. His nose twitched as a droplet of water fell on it, it was cool yet annoying, his tongue licked it away. A thought entered his mind and he gave his chest and back a few licks to smooth down the fur, it had fluffed out since drying.
His ears pricked forwards attentively and he nodded to Violet making to follow her. His shoulders hunched up in the rain, he knew it was a gentle man like thing to do and rain was better off dry anyways. Picking up speed he caught up to Violet at the stall and gazed up at the table in earnest. His eyes scrunched up for a moment and then narrowed as he gathered himself together to leap up on the table, small as he was he could probably still do it. Its higher then the box....but...I can do it, I can do it he leapt up as he thought those encouraging words and scrabbled for grip on the wooden table, whimpering slightly as he slipped and then managed to get on. A huge smile fsat on his lips at his success and the food on the table. Grabbing what he could manage he followed Violet back to the den and dropped it happily in front of rain and Violet. His mouth watered slightly but he sat and decided to eat last.
OOC - if I don't reply again, just leave him in the den and go your separate ways. Pretend that he decided to look around the dumpster or something
