{ open } One road. Osprey would never believe such life-changing events could happen so often on one solitary road. For example, one day a cat could be curled up in front of a blazing fire with all the love and attention he could dream of, and the next he was a stray. Abandoned. Alone. Guilt always seemed to cling onto Osprey's mind. Guilt towards his siblings maybe. He had lost them.. who knows how they would survive on their own? He could only hope they had found each other, or a stable home where they could live peacefully. He didn't let any worries about his own life cross his mind, he was not important. But at the moment, he did feel at the back of his mind that he needed to concentrate on finding someplace to live. He had strayed onto this path in hope of finding somewhere with a decent food supply, and shelter from the elements of nature. Furthermore, he figured that because of the strong scent of cats on the breeze, there must be some sort of home for him around here.
As Osprey padded along the winding path, began to hear the faint buzzing of feline voices in the distance. He sped up until he was at the point of sprinting; he was eager to reveal the place that may become his home. As time went by, the voices became clearer and clearer, and he decided to slow down now he was in view. A small breeze began to blow Osprey's pelt behind him, as he continued to pad along, wondering where he was. He half-hoped that some cat would take pity on him and escort him to some shelter and food, but on the other hand he didn't want to give anyone a bad impression of him on his first day. He started to shiver, he wasn't sure whether it was the chill or whether he was just nervous. The scene and atmosphere was slightly daunting to the young cat, he was a stranger among the crowd; everyone seemed to know each other and he was alone hoping for a miracle! To be honest, he wasn't sure whether he could survive amongst so many of his own kind.
Hunger growled in his belly but he attempted to ingore it. He was accustomed to devouring many foods - mice, voles, pizza, anything was fine to him. He wasn't a very picky eater, and he was also exceedingly easy to satisfy. But here, in this busy town he felt lonely and nothing compared to the grand felines around him. He was lost, cold, hungry and immensely lonely. What else could go wrong?

The mixed colored feline patted along the old road he had been on for a while. He was so new to this whole place, being a stray it was very odd to him. Yet it was also exciting. He wondered what life would bring him as a stray. It was not like he was totally new to the life of a stray, he had been in that atmosphere before back home. His first home, his one and only home he would return to. Unlike the abusive home he went into after that one. He was glad to be free finally, glad those abusive son of a bastards abandoned him. He would have likely ran away in the end anyways so this only brought his fate closer to him. Which was still a mystery to the black, white and ginger colored feline.
His pink pads patted on the ground in a rhythmic motion. It was almost like what humans called music. He recalled his favorite person from his home, Jesse always listening to this music from a small metal device that had an apple on it’s back. He could recall listening to it with her on some boring old rainy days. Oh how he would miss Jesse. She was everything he would look for in a mate-if only she where a cat. He laughed at himself, how odd he must have been to be attracted to a human in that way. Oh well, he is probably not the first to think like that, he was sure there were a lot of animals that would love to be humans. He also knew some humans wished to be animals. He could recall Jesse always telling him he was lucky being a cat. He took that seriously, he was lucky, he did consisted himself lucky. Maybe not the luckiest of felines but he was lucky to be one.
As he walked down the road, Twix encountered a roadblock as a black male sat in the middle of the road looking very lost. ‘He must be new around here as well.’ The calico tom thought, shrugging slightly thinking he had nothing to lose, he approached the other tom. “Hello, there.” He voiced out, to the black tom, bring his thin figure around the other tom, settling himself beside him. “You look new to these roads, you lost?” He stated before questioning. It was always nice to make friends on the streets, enemies where definitely something you did not want. His eyes dulled coldly as he recalled the ally cats that murdered his father. He would get vengeances for his father’s death. He swore it then, and looked into keeping that promise to himself. He would right just on the streets with his vengeances of die trying, or go insane trying…

The black feline's eyes divereted to the ground in embarrasment. He was glad of the company, but he didn't want to make a fool of himself. He swiped a paw over his muzzle, cleaning his long whiskers. "Hello." Osprey greeted, "And yes... I honestly have no idea where I am." he managed a half-hearted smile. Twix reminded him of his sister Kite, she was a calico too. Guilt still haunted him, he lost her long ago. He shuffled around uneasily, he wasn't used to other cats again. Osprey was only a young tom - he hoped that he didn't encounter any trouble.
Worries also seemed determined to cling onto him like burrs in his fur. What if the resident cats turned against him? What if he couldn't find any food or water? What if the humans captured him again? He tried to push all of his troubling thoughts from his mind, with no sucsess. He just kept a firm look on his face, he didn't want to break down and panic.

Lilly had no idea where she was. She only knew that she had no food, that she had no idea where Sally was, though she could here her crying lightly, and she did not like it where she was. She meowed hopelessly, fumbling here and there. She heard a muffled voice a few times, but they weren't familiar. Maybe it was because it was stuffy in the box she was in and it was hard to hear, and see.
A screech. Lilly and the thing she was in flew off the car seat. A few comforting words, and an opening sound. Then the box flew to the ground and landed with a thud.
"MA! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" A little girl yelled madly. Her mother turned around. "We have to, Sally. We can't stay where we are, and where we're moving we can't have pets." The car started and drove away, leaving Lilly in the box.
"Sally! Sally, come back! What did I do?!" Lilly didn't know what had just happened, but she knew Sally was long gone, and that she would never see her again. She sniffed, trying to get out of the box.

Screech. Crash. Wail. Osprey flinched as he witnessed the scene. He had never known the comfort of safety and a loving human companion - he didn't know much about the situation. You would presume he would have no idea what was going on, but something at the back of his mind explained the feirce tension in the air. His black fur burned with embarrasment, as he padded cautiously up to the box, signalling to Twix with his tail.
"Hello," he murmured nervously, "Do you need any help? He shifted uneasily, he hoped this cat wouldn't be offended. He had previously encountered a farm-cat who just growled at Osprey when he offered to assist him in untangling himself in some thorns. Next, he prodded the box with his paw slightly and glanced around. He could tell by the voice that it was a she-cat, but he wasn't sure how old she was or if she might turn on him by the tone of her voice.

"I need help! I don't know how to get outta this thing." Lilly scrambled around the box, her little ribbon on her tail flickering. She pushed the box over, then scrambled out. The tiny orange tabby smiled at the older male.
"Where's Sally? Did you see a big blue monster thing?" Lilly sniffed, and she looked at Osprey with big green eyes. Those eyes were so full of hope. But Lilly didn't feel very hopeful. Her life started out hopeless. Being abandoned by her mother in her own home. Her kin hated her because she was a runt. And anyone could tell. Lilly was very small for her age. Osprey was more then two times larger then her.
"Excoose me! I'm Lilly Bwokenwinge." The tiny she-cat sat up proudly, her breast puffed out. "I know how ta hunt and swim! C- can I stay wiff you?"

Occasionally, a cat's usual personality can be forgotten, especially when he or she is excited, or afraid. Osprey's sister Kite had always been a mixed character, he remembered her (as brave as she usually was) cowering behind Twig at the sight of a spider. Memories can be powerful and useful things.
Osprey couldn't help beaming despite his usual attitude. He batted the box away, assisting her in escaping from the cardboard cube. As she scrambled out, he glanced over her small frame. It was uncommon how her features looked like she was about 5 months old, yet her size seemed to suggest she was younger. He confirmed his thoughts that she was previously a house-cat by the ribbon on her tail. Her eyes were green and full of life, and her orange pelt contrasted well with her green irises.
He decided Sally must have been her owner once she mentioned her. "Sorry I don't know where she is," he apologized rapidly, before continuing, "Yes, I did. It went that way," The black tom mentioned the direction it travelled with his tail. "But I would advise you not to go after it. They are incredibly faster than us and if you somehow manage to catch up they will just return you back here." he advised.
"Lilly. Such a nice name," his thoughts drifted off for a moment. "I apologise for my manners. My name is Osprey Coldenwing." Osprey grinned apprehensively as she announced her skills. "Great! And sure, if you like. But I'd just like to say that I have just arrived aswell, so I won't be much help."

"Sally was the nicest person in the world! She fed me and petted me and kissed me and picked me up... And she putted this ribbon on my tail!" She crouched low, keeping her tail up straight. She swung it around energeticly.
Lilly blushed slightly at hearing a compliment. "Ospwey is a nice name, too." She smiled. "It's okay if you're new. We can be new together!" Lilly sat down. She then noticed the other male. "Who's he?" Lilly nodded towards Twilight. "What's his name?" Lilly shot the two questions out quickly, only to shoot another one out. "Wanna go hunting?" she said quickly, bouncing up and down.
OOC: Lilly is an energetic little furball who doesn't know proper grammar. XD I feel bad for Osprey. XD

Kittens, Osprey knew, could be extremely annoying at times. They could follow you around, try to play 'chase the tail' or just call out embarrassing secrets in public. Furthermore their grammer was mostly horrific. But unlike other cats, the black tom was rather fond of them, if he was going to be honest.
Osprey could only sit back on his haunces and smile as Lilly chattered about her beloved Sally. He had never expierenced the love of a human, but from stories he figured it must be amazing. He dipped his head in thanks as she mentioned that she liked his name; plus he couldn't help but struggle to keep back a laugh as she continued on. He thought for a few moments, and then answered her questions carefully.
"Well," he murmured in her ear , "I don't really know. He didn't have time to tell me his name before you made me come over here!" He spoke with a smirk, to show plainly that he didn't really mind. He swiped her orange ear gently and playfully with his large black fore-limb. "Kittens," he tutted in a clearly playfully teasing voice.
ooc:; Oh, he's alright. Good job he likes kittens.

Lilly batted at Osprey's tail as he sat down. "You're funny! I like you! You're much nicer than my brothers and sisters. And my mamma. They hurt me, and gave me these scars." Lilly closed her eyes and showed Osprey the scar on her left eye, along with her scarred nose. "I didn't do nothin' wrong, neither."
Lilly got up, full of energy. "Wanna do something FUN?" Lilly bounced up and down. "We can go hunting!" Lilly sped off into the woods. She didn't know that you had to be quiet when hunting. She hardly ever got a mouse, or anything of that matter. Lilly came back. "You can come and help me find some. I smell LOTS!!" She sat down again. She was getting pretty hungry. "Pweese?"

Laughter, can sometimes be the hardest thing to control. For example, a man could have a gift that enabled him to domesticate and control armies of grizzly bears; but in contrast he could never prevent himself of bursting out laughing, even though the time was wrong.
The black tom could strive no longer. He erupted into laughter, you see, Osprey's laughs were loud and thundering. On the other hand however, they were rare and hard to cause. He paused abruptly as Lilly mentioned her feline relatives. A sudden wave of guilt swept over him as she discussed her past and scars. "Some cats are like that. Thankfully, the majority aren't." he meowed after she explained that she was innocent.
She chuckled at her sudden outburst ("Wanna do something FUN?") and purred as she returned and began to bat his tail. He twitched it playfully. He felt his own stomach rumble before making his decision."Okay. I used to hunt mice in the field all the time." he smiled gently and got to his paws, and headed slowly into the woods.

Lilly squealed with joy as Osprey agreed to go hunting. "Yay, yay, yay!" She hopped after Osprey joyfully. "You know, even though my family was mean to me, I kinda miss them... I wonder where they are..." Lilly sighed heavily as she followed Osprey.
"Maybe we can be fwiends?" Lilly looked at Osprey with those of-so-hopeful eyes, which were what made her so cute and lovable. She needed a friend, and maybe even a father who would love her more than her previous one who left when her mother was pregnant. But Lilly would settle with a friend for now. She was almost old enough to be by herself, but until then, she would need a companion to help her around here and there.

I'm sorry, I have to go for up to 30 mins now, but I will be back as quick as possible. I will edit this with my reply, so please check back when you can. :]
edit:: Okay, here we go.
bic: "I miss my family too," he announced, "Especially Twig and Kite, my brother and sister. They weren't exactly nice to me either, but I still loved them." Some family can be annoying, Osprey knew that, but he felt very sorry for the kit. "Well, I'll consider it." The black tom purred down at the orange kitten. He wouldn't mind a companion actually. He had been lonely since he had lost his siblings.
He remembered the calico and rushed back to Twilight. "I'm sorry," he apologised rapidly, "You know what kits are like. I hope you don't mind?" he hoped that the friendly tom wouldn't mind too much if he went to keep an eye on the kitten. Osprey padded back to her with an embarrased smile at Twilight.

"What was your family like?" Lilly looked up at the big black tom. She smiled at the mention of him possibly becoming her friend. "I had two sisters and two brothers... Falcon and Hawk were my brothers. They had bird names because my daddy's name was Eagle. I don't know where he is now. And my sisters were Oak and Maple, cause my mom's name was Cedar. Cedar Skybranch. My daddy's name was Eagle Brokenwinge. But he didn't have wings... So I have no idea where he got that name. He could've had wings, though, because I never saw him." Lilly chattered on, hardly noticing Osprey as he went over to Twilight to apologize for leaving. When she finally did, he was back.
"You still didn't tell me about your family... Did you have lots of brothers and sisters? Were they nice to you?" Lilly let the words gush out of her mouth. "Did you have a mama and daddy who stayed with you?"
OOC: I have to make her a bit annoying... XD
