Osprey couldn't help chuckliong at the bright young she-cat. "Well, I never met my father either since my mum was captured by humans whilst she was pregnant. She was kept in a strange cell - the pound I think they call it - until we were born and then shortly after we were seperated. We were fed this horrible milk stuff by the humans - it kept us alive. One of my sisters was adopted by another human, but me, Kite and Twig (my sister and brother) managed to escape! It was great for a while, getting used to the world and learning to hunt. But then the winter came, and it sure was cold. The humans attacked again later, and I lost the other two in a storm." Osprey finished his story and curled his tail around his paws. "Oh and then I stumbled across this path, and followed it here. It's so long... If someone told me it goes on forever, I would believe them," he added.

Lilly's emerald eyes widened as she listened to her friend's life story. "That musta been horrible. The pound.... I heard stories. It's a big grey place with lotsa other cats and dogs. And they're all barking and meowing..." She shivered slightly. "I'm getting hungry," Lilly whimpered suddenly. She looked up at Osprey. "If we go hunting, my tummy will scare all the mouses away!" She giggled as she padded through the woods.
"Did you have to hunt for your sister and brother? Or did they learn how to hunt?" Lilly's shomach growled again. "I know, I'm hungry, too," the little kit whispered to her stomach. "My stomach talks to me... It's been doing it a lot since I was abandoned..."

"It was far from pleasant..." the black tom's voice trailed off in memories. He contently listed to Lilly and waited until she was finished to answer her other questions. "Well, okay then. shall we head inside the woods? I'm starving too. It was worse in the pound though. After we were weaned all they would feed us is these hard brown pellets. Some of them had a faint trace of fish or meat in them, but the hard texture and taste overall was disgusting!" Osprey winced at the memory, before heading off once again in the direction of the forest.

"I bet." Lilly said at Osprey's comment about the pound.
"I was fed those, too. I liked hunting better, but they were nice when I couldn't find anything." Lilly blushed at the memntion of her not catching anything. 'It was probally because my stomach was rumbly.' "I had to hunt for myself, most of the time. My owner's mom didn't really like me..." Lilly sighed, thinking about Sally. She was her best friend, but now Lilly had to make new friends to survive. It was just how things worked, in the stray life and in the house cat life. Though it was hard in either one. Lilly missed Sally with all her heart.
OOC: Sure.

The male calico chuckled when the other tom-cat admit he was kind of lost. “I’m pretty new here too, so I don’t know my way around much…” He meowed trailing off looking down at the ground that was between himself and the other tom. He chuckled to himself before speaking again. “Sorry I’m not much of help.” He added with a sheepish grin, he thought he could be of help but he was probably just as new to the area as this tom was. Mentally kicking himself he realized he had yet to introduce himself, how rude of him. Opening his mouth to tell the tom his name a loud screech and crash startled the tom, his fur puffed slightly and he jumped up on all fours and swiftly swirled around to see what had happened. He flicked his ears back at the sense it was a worse situation than with his - but it might have well been practically the same. Abandonment: the act of giving some with up without attempting to reclaim it or give it away. A cruel and not uncommon thing in the animal world. He had been an abandoned tom like this kitten to a family that just could not keep them.
The black tom walked over to the cardboard box and helped the tiny kitten out of it. From the looks of it she was still very young, and a runt at that she was very small for what her features showed her real age to be. Which was roughly around four to five months old. The black tom flicked his tail at Twix but he ignored it for now, this black male seemed to have everything under control with this kitten, he smiled softly at them. He obviously loved kittens and she was just too cute for her own good. Twilight himself liked kittens to a curtain extent. He had no troubles getting along with them, however putting up with them was a totally different story. He chuckled at her seemly almost endless energy, she was a cute kid that was for sure. Lilly Brokenwinge he over heard her name, and the black tom’s being Osprey Coldenwing. Interesting how their names where similar almost like it was fate.
The two obviously became fast friends, sharing a little bit about each other and their past. Twilight had half the mind to join in on the conversation but he felt out of place. However when he was mentioned he smiled with a flicked of his tail he allowed himself to introduce himself finally. “I’m Twilight Spitfire.” He nodded to the two, “It’s nice to meet you both.” He added, rubbing his nose with the back of his paw, having a slight tickle in it. His ears perked up when the kitten asked about hunting and his stomach gave a silently rumble. Osprey trotted his way over to Twix and apologies for leaving, he simple shook his head. “Please, don’t let me intrude. I’ll catch you later.” He smiled at the other tom, he was quite friend and Twix would love to meet him again sometime, as well as Lilly he wouldn’t mind having more friends. Watching them leave the mix colored tom sighed and stood up on all fours again and trotted off to another place.
