[ Reserved for Chief, Caesar, Twilight Spitfire, and Wolf Sharpstone ] Indigo was officially 'in a state'. Her eyes gleamed dangerously from within her makeshift den behind the bushes. She'd come up here and found the spring. It was pretty and she'd drank for a bit, lolling around lazily, pleasantly content to find herself all alone on such a beautiful time. Some rest and relaxation, that's what she'd been thinking. Ha! It hadn't even been noon yet when things had gone terribly wrong. The first thing Indigo had been aware of was a sudden pain in her stomach and then a great terror when she realized what was happening. Swearing, a shaking Indigo had caterwauled loudly, hoping someone would come to her aid. She didn't really want help but she'd been terrified to go through this alone. After a few minutes, she'd realized that she was going to do this by herself. No help. She was strong. Right?
Gulping, she'd found a small patch of grass surrounded by bushes and darted in. The one thing that seemed able to get through to her was this was natural. She should just follow her instincts or something. The terror blocked everything else out. Didn't you have to push or something? She knew enough of giving birth to realize that much but the rest was complete confusion. Instinct was telling her to push - to get these things out of her. And that's what she'd done. Straining, the one coherent thought she'd been able to form was to get them out. And it had worked.
Sort of. Four small wet little bundles lay on the grass beside her and she strained for what she prayed - and figured - was the last time. Then she'd be done. The mere thought sent euphoria traveling up to her brain - a single high she was glad to ride. This would all be over. Everything would be okay. But something felt wrong. The terror started to creep into her vision again, pulsing angrier. Something was wrong? Didn't cats die when birth went wrong? Terrified, Indigo tried her best to reassure herself that everything was going to be fine but it was so hard when she honestly didn't think it would be. Finally, after a great deal of exertion, a head appeared and was slowly followed by a body. Panting, Indigo tried to steady her breathing, knowing that she was now done.
Or at least, done the birthing aspect. There was still the shady aspect about actually raising the kittens but Indigo was in no mood to deal with that depressing train of thought. Forcing herself to her feet, she bent down over the five kittens, feeling that it was mandatory for her t show some interest in the squeaking little things. Er, four squeaking little things and one silent thing. What? Stifling a new wash of horror, Indigo bent down over the kit, licking it furiously for an instant before noticing something tangled around it's neck. Her eyes widened and she bit it off, resuming licking the kitten frantically. It's pale orange fur looked like like hers. After a few moments, it's chest rose and fell. A moment later, a feeble squeak was emitted.
Indigo sat back on her haunches, letting out her breath. For a moment there she'd been terrified, scared for the kittens' life. And that surprised her - shocked her, even. The first real sign of any maternal instincts, she thought with a wry grin. With an eye roll, she forced herself to check or the kittens and make sure they were alive and in general health. No missing limbs, no dead bodies, Indigo thought with a smirk. Seems like I did okay. Not that it was an experience that she'd ever want to go through again, she thought with a shudder. And she wasn't even done. Unfortunately for her, these scraps of her weren't going to be able to raise themselves and while she wasn't fond of kittens, abandoning them all alone out here would be like signing a death warrant for the five of them.
Five! Five kittens! She was supposed to raise five kittens. Personally, Indigo had been hoping for one. One little kitten, girl or boy - didn't matter - and mature enough to not be a constant bother. Someone certainly had it in for her. "Five," Indigo repeated - this time out loud - and then swore softly, smirking slightly at her exclamation. The kittens squeaking were growing louder, she realized vaguely, narrowing her eyes. God, they were annoying. What was their problem? One of the kittens, seemingly braver than the rest, or at least planning on getting what she wanted, nudged her small nose into Indigo's belly fur, apparently intent on nursing. Oh. Indigo blushed. They're probably hungry. That would explain the loud squeaking. Right. Rolling her eyes, she picked them all up and dragged them close to her with a sigh.
Her glance roamed around but there really wasn't much at all to look at. She sighed. Names! It hit her suddenly. She hadn't really thought of any names for the kittens - she'd focused more on dreading the fact that they were going to be born. And now she was unprepared. She had to name them obviously. "One, two, three, four, and five?" she questioned with a giggle, raising one brow at her little brood. She had to give them some form of name, didn't she? Indigo sighed, not really wanting to. But it wasn't a big deal, was it? If they didn't like their names they could pick something else when they were older. It was up to them what they chose to tell others their names were.
Feeling slightly cheered by this thought, Indigo set about the prospect of at least choosing some form of name for each of them. After all, she wanted to be a good mother, didn't she? She snorted, knowing that truthfully it wasn't on her list of priorities nor did play a large part of what she wanted. She'd make sure they lived and were healthy and all that jazz but she wasn't about to start instilling them with all the important morals, was she? Indigo laughed. Of course not. How could she when she seemed to have such a little sense of morals herself? Or at least, such a little sense of what was the right thing to do? And she was supposed to raise five little kittens into responsible adults? The idea was completely absurd.
But who could she call upon? No way was she going back to Stellar and telling him he was a father. That was just not going to work. And what about Ash? She snorted. She was so not about to ask him for help raising her and Stellar's kittens. Well, maybe. It was wrong but then again, she'd never really had a problem with "wrong" before, had she? What about Violet? Sure, her sister was younger than her but she was still all grown up and friendly. And of course, she probably was normal enough to feel motherly instincts at the sight of kittens and think they were cute and wish they were hers. Not everyone was infected was some sort of anti-kitten disease like it seemed Indigo was.
So that was it then. She'd see if Violet wanted to help raise them - or really just raise them cause honestly, Indigo wasn't going to be doing much. And didn't Violet like that guy, Rowan? If they were together than the pair of them could raise the kittens! It would be just like they had a proper mother and father! Indigo felt guilty that she would willingly entrust her kittens into the care of a tom she'd never met but if Violet thought he was good enough than that judgment was good enough for her. She grinned, settling herself a bit more comfortably into the grass. Maybe everything would be okay after all.
But she still hadn't name the dratted things yet. Indigo inspected them for a moment, wrinkling her nose. They weren't really all that cute at this stage, were they? And she was supposed to name them now? Well, she could technically wait a bit. But the kittens would surely hate her enough simply for not being a good mother, she wasn't going to not name them as well so they could call each other 'Hey, you' for the first months of their life. She rolled her eyes. The orange kitten, the one that had been born all funny and tangled up in whatever, what would his name be? He was orange so... So really, she still had no clue.
Should she give him an important sounding name? She didn't really want to mess up, as little as it mattered to her. This way she could at least do one thing right, even if it would be the only thing. So, an important-sounding name. Something fierce... something brave. Lion? She gave a small laugh. But he did have orange fur. Didn't lions have orange fur? Lion Wintertrap. Of course, the last name Wintertrap was a bit of a jolt but it made sense. They were her kittens, not Stellar's. Not Violet's either, even if she would raise them. Indigo had given birth to them and despite not having any maternal instincts, she certainly felt possessive of all of them.
So Lion it was. That took care of one of them. only four to go. Indigo rolled her eyes and focused her attention on the other orange kitten. A girl with snowy white patches. Hmm. She certainly looked strong too, didn't she? She deserved a strong name too, not just one of the boys. How about... Tiger? Indigo winced. That was her father's name. And about the only thing she knew about her dad, she thought with a laugh. What about... Fox? She winced. Hawk? Nope, sounding like a guy's name. She wanted something strong and important but still girl-sounding. Cougar? She gave a small shrug. Still masculine. What about... Puma? Wasn't that just another way of saying cougar? Probably but that didn't matter. It sounded better and already Indigo could visualize the little orange girl as a Puma.
Which left three more kittens, all brown tabbies like - Indigo cut herself off. No. Not like Stellar. They were just brown tabbies, each their own lovely individual. Then again, she loved Stellar. Saying they were like him was not a problem. She nosed one of the little girls, a solid brown tabby with golden eyes. Hmm. What to name her? She wanted something pretty-sounding but not completely stupid like Flower or Twig or something. Something that defined a personality... something delicate but strong. Should she continue with the habit of naming after cats? Big cats? She giggled. She'd already ruled out Tiger and Cougar. Bobcat? She winced. Leopard? It had it's possibilities. Hmm. It just didn't... fit. Lynx? That was certainly prettier, more feminine. Lynx it was then.
Next, Indigo nosed one of brown tabbies, a tom that looked like he might grow to be an identical version of Stellar. Save for his eyes - they were her eyes, a brilliant gold. Indigo was surprised to feel a purr of pleasure emanating from her. What should this kitten's name be? She wanted him to have a brave sounding name too. Something that wouldn't be laughed at but something approachable... Something that didn't sound too unique or would earn odd glances. She wanted the perfect names for all of her kits really but it was so hard when she barely knew them. But this way they could grow into their names. This would work out fine, she hoped.
She wanted the names to be a portrait of who they were but that could never be possible when she didn't know their personalities or anything. She wouldn't be able to strike the nail head on, just hopefully somewhere in the general vicinity. "Strike..." she murmured softly, giving the tom a gentle lick. It had merit, she'd admit that much. It was a nice name but something was wrong. Something was missing. "Striker?" she questioned, knowing as the words fell from her lips that this would the perfect name for the little kit. She gave another purr and licked the young tom again, finding it hard to suppress a surprising feeling of happiness.
Now for the last little kitten. A tiny little thing like her siblings, brown tabby with startlingly white patches on her paws and chest that stood out sharply. She was a darling little thing, Indigo thought, nuzzling the little one close. And she'd been the first one to nurse, the one that had crept forwards. Not greedy though, Indigo decided. She'd known what she'd wanted and she'd decided that she was going to get it. She gave a small laugh, imagining this little kitten growing up - liking very much when she got her way. Indigo wanted a pretty name for the little she-cat. But maybe something that could have a short-form as well, a nick-name.
Not something that would be nicknamed in a bad way but something pretty that would therefore sound unique, not being a word. Sparrow? She certainly liked the idea of naming her daughter - it felt so funny to think that she had a daughter - three of them really, and two sons - after a bird. What else could there be? Lark? It was pretty but seemed more well-used. She frowned. Swoop? It wasn't a type of bird but it was bird-associated and certainly pretty. "Lion, Puma, Lynx, Striker, and Swoop," she whispered, giving each of her kits a small lick as she said their name.
But something about Swoop's name didn't sit right. It was pretty but it wasn't feminine enough - exquisite enough - for the little girl. Furthermore, there couldn't really be any "nick-names" as she'd hope. Fond little callings. But then there weren't really many for the other kits either... "Kestrel!" Indigo exclaimed with a little laugh, remembering the birds she'd head talk of and had had pointed out to her once before by her mother. Kestrel was certainly a more feminine name and quite lovely too. "You could be my little Stella," she purred softly with a laugh. It was so close to the name 'Stellar' too, Indigo thought but she didn't voice that thought. That didn't matter. Kestrel would still be her own individual.
"Lion, Puma, Lynx, Striker, and Stella," she purred, feeling as she whispered those names that they did fit - they fit perfectly to each of her kits. They were starting to drift into sleep now as she murmured their names, touching each one with her nose softly as their eyes close and they curled around each other. Indigo stifled a laugh to see Lion curled up on top of little Lynx and nudged the little tom off of his sister. She hadn't wanted kittens - she still didn't want them - but there was something about seeing them all asleep, naming them, watching them... Indigo couldn't truthfully say that she had any urge to raise them and watch them grow but she certainly felt... curious. Which was a definitely a step in the right direction.
And she wanted them to be protected, she could see that much. As much as she had no desire to raise the little tykes up to adulthood, she wanted to make sure that they would come to no harm. Even though she didn't particularly like or know the kittens, she couldn't help but feel that, somehow, she loved each and every one of them. But that was silly. She couldn't love them. She didn't like kittens at all in general. But maybe, she prodded herself, Just maybe you love these kittens because they're yours, eh? She gave a small laugh, realizing that the fact that these were her kittens did indeed make them more special than any other kittens in the world despite her lack of maternal qualities.
So maybe she wasn't a completely lost case yet after all.

The padding of soft paws made their way along the clear water's edge. The bank was smooth and soft under Cheif's paws and he sniffed around looking for something fun to do. He let out a decent sized sigh and took a few steps closer toward the water. "What a boring day....Nothing to do. I s'pose I can take a nap or...something" Cheif rolled his eyes and lapped up about a pint of water. Cheif sat his rump onto the floor and stared at the water passing so quickly by him. He had always had a short attention span and could never sit for too long. He was still considered a pup by his fellow canines, but he was big and hardly messed around with. The only dogs he ever really listened to were Shiba, his short-tempered alpha, and secondin command, Aspen. They were the only dogs that had a chance at calming Cheif's wild, adventurous spirit.
He peered at his reflection for a bit and cocked his big head to one side. One eye blue, the other brown like most of his fur. What would he do with his spare time? He figured he would just wait for Shiba's command on their next move against the feral cats, but how long would he be able to wait? A smirk crept it's way onto Cheif's muzzle, "Ah, good o'l Shiba....always putting me in my place heh." His tail started to twitch as he became irritated with the quiet, peacefulness of everything. He stood up and shook off his shabby husky coat and turned sharply around and headed for the shade of a nearby tree. "I need some chaos or something!! Urgh!"
Just for the heck of it he sniffed the air with the oncoming breeze. The scent of the rushing water pretty much covered most scents around, but he'd look for something anyway. As he sniffed around something caught his attention. His ears immidiatly perked up and his tail wagged excitedly. Is that a cat I smell.....hmm and the sweet aroma of....Kittens!?!, Cheif bounced up and opened his mouth to drink in the better scent. He slowly followed the invisible scent line and the took off with it.
Adrenaline spicked in his veins and he launched himself into the forest brush. His bellowing laugh echoed through the trees and over the falls. A low growl rippled through his throught and he let an excited howl rip through the forest. I know Caesar was sent on patrol close to here, he might be hungry! heh heh The scent of the cat and her kittens flooded his senses, causing his stomach to rumble within him.
He slowed to a stalking position and sniffed around. His eyes sprinted around the surrounding area looking for the slightest bit of movement. Then he saw it, the orange tabby she-cat bent down to lick one of her newborn kits. "Newborn kits? This'll be easier then I thought!" He whispered against the ground. The tabby seemed to have heard him, but she couldn't move with her new kittens feeding. He bounded out of the brush and landed about three yards away from the she-cat. His heart lerched with excitment and he couldn't control himself anymore.
He lowered his head and let out a threatening growl. "Well isn't this sweet. To bad your little kits won't live to really know their mommy, huh!" Cheif chuckled and stepped closer to the tabby. Her body tensed and she let out a terror-stricken hissss. "Ah your terrified posture just fules my muscles even more. Cats are the best to hunt, because they think they can fight against a dog and survive." He shrugged his shoulders and turned to the cat, "I guess it's lunch time!!" He launched himself toward the orange she-cat and her vulnerable kits. I'll bring Shiba a kit as a gift....heh His immature fancies were layed in the back of his mind, his eyes set on the prize. OOC: I hope thats ok!! I guess Cheif will just taunt Indy until Caesar comes. I wrote that he luanched himself at her but there wont be any physical contact yet.

"This'll be easier then I thought!""
The cry evoked a sharp growl from Indigo as she rose to her paws, ignoring the terrified mewling of her kits. Her fur bristled with a combination of anger and terror and her lip curled into a sneer as she glared at the dog in front of her. "Get away from me!" she demanded, wincing as her vice came off more shrill than furious. She trembled, fighting her instincts. Fight or flee. Fight or flee. If she ran away she might be safe. But the dog would get her kits... As lacking as she was in maternal instincts and motherly feelings for the little tykes, she didn't want that to happen. It had nothing to do with the fact that they were kittens though - she would have felt bad abandoning anyone to this fate. Plus, they were hers. The possessive streak hadn't died down, even with the large dog brute slavering in front of her.
But could she really sacrifice herself for her kits? They'd end up dying anyway. Wasn't it better for at least one of them to survive? Indigo had known all her life that she could never be the sacrificial type. The martyr. She wasn't brave enough for that. The idea of death terrified her funnily enough - though it certainly hadn't bothered her all that much when she'd tried to commit suicide. That had been her bravest hour, she stubbornly believed. However mislead she'd been, her reasons for doing so had been heroic in their own way.
But debating that now would get her absolutely nowhere. "Don't call me that," Indigo hissed instinctively at the word 'mommy'. She wasn't some pretty little mother. She was a she-cat who had the misfortune to get pregnant which had unfortunately led to giving birth. But that was important now. She needed to save the kits. They were too young to die - too young to understand and too young to have bad feelings harbored against from their own mother. Indigo let out a whimper. How could she save them? The spring! What if she pushed them down the river in a little boat-thing and hoped that some cat would find them and save them!
She glanced frantically around the little clearing before realizing how futile her plan was. The kits were far too little to understand and hold on. But that also meant that they were too little for her to run off and leave them here. Though on the plus side they wouldn't understand what was going on. A terrified mew came from one of the kits and Indigo's mind was instantly decided. She loved the kits, more than she'd realized. And maybe she did have a shred of maternal instinct somewhere inside of her now that they were real, living and breathing kits.
Unsure of whether she was finally being brave or simply being foolish Indigo darted to her kits' sides, crouching over them protectively and hissing. "Go chase a rabbit!" she snarled. "You're not touching me or these kits," she hissed, feeling a fierce sense of pride inside of her as she realized that she was certain she was doing the right thing. With a savage cry, she flung herself forward to meet the brute mid-air as he lunged. She scratched out furiously, determined to feel her claws raking through his fur. Spinning she leaped down from the ground, kicking her back legs - and claws - at his muzzle. As she hit the ground she was at her kittens' sides instantly, trembling with fear. The dog was much larger than her.
There was no way she could win.

Cats! Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats! One word repeated in the mind of the large doberman. Finally. He'd get proper revenge. Caesar had a long, thick cut on his nose, stretching from the beginning of his black nose to his lip. His nose was still working though. The scent of feline was thick in the air, and he greedily tracked down the creatures, a wild light in his eyes. There was another dog there, by the scents of things. But, what did he care? There was a cat, and that was all that mattered! Wait - kittens? Could things get any better? Was it possible? Probably not. A cruel smirk was fixed on the face of the tall dog as he bounded across the fields towards the waterfall he could see in the distance. Now he'd get revenge. The last time wasn't, well, fair. That black cat had ran away. It had decided to flee, like all of the puny species of cat.
As fast as was possible for the doberman at that time, he darted towards the animals next to the waterfalls. He tried to conceal himself in the the plants beside the pool, but he shrugged off any crazy ideas like that, and he went for the direct approach. He glanced at the other dog, a husky by the looks of him. A cruel grin on his face, he leant towards him and spoke a few quiet words into his ear. "Are you hungry? Don't worry. I've eaten recently. Let me help you dispose of them, and I can promise you all the fresh cat you want," his voice was an almost evil-sounding snarl, but he was obviously really looking forward to this oppurtunity. Silently, he glared at the orange tabby, she was probably guarding her litter. She was just a single cat. What chance did she have against two almighty powerful dogs?
None whatsoever. Out of the corner of his eye he glimpsed a rush of orange fur and he decided to leap to. He wouldn't kill her just yet, he needed to be entertained a little first. Growling ferociously, he swiped one massive heavy paw towards her head, powerfully aiming for maximum power and impact. He waited for the result of his blow, a cruel glimmer in his eyes. ooc:; Sorry about the shortness. I don't seem to have much Caesar muse at the moment. x[

Indigo let out a shrill cry as she felt a massive paw smash into her head. Whimpering, she dragged herself to her kittens, crouching over them in a defensive position as they whimpered beneath her. Where had that come from? Her eyes flashed with alarm as she spied the source: a large Doberman. Now there were two dogs? Indigo snarled. She wasn't about to just step aside and let them kill her kittens. If they would die she would too. She felt heroic for the sacrifice but deep down she knew she was making it for her own sake as well. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she ran away... and no one else would understand either. Death terrified her. The whole uncertainty and the fact that there was no proof of what lay after death. She wanted to believe in an afterlife but she knew that her belief could not have been called complete or one hundred percent by any means.
"Stay away from me!" she shrieked at the dogs, her eyes glinting with fury. They were pushing her over the edge - pushing her off the brink of sanity she'd been managing to remain on for these past few days. She let out a harsh laugh which quickly turned into hysterical and derisive laughter. "Stay from me!" she laughed. "Ha!" She crept forward slowly, positioning herself between the kittens and the dogs. "Of course you won't , you no good mutts," she shrieked, her voice rising shrilly and echoing across the open sky. "You never will!" she screamed. "Aaaaah!" With a sudden cry of desperation, she leaped forward.
Her vision and sanity were blinded - all that Indigo was capable of feeling was hatred for the dogs and the only course of action she was able to take was to try and harm them in whatever way she could. Slashing out at the Doberman she let out a savage hiss. "How'd you like it if I killed your puppies!" she crowed as she leaped back and spun around neatly to face them - once more between them and the dogs. "How'd you like that!" she screamed at them, her fur bristling all along her spine - her tail fluffed out with panic and terror. But none of that was evident in her eyes - only a blazing anger.
"Leave me alone!" she screamed, completely hysterical. She was terrified now - not of the dogs but of herself. What had happened to her? What had overcome her? She'd been fine and then scared and now she barely felt in control of herself and it frightened her that she was behaving such. "Leave me alone!" she sob-shrieked. It seemed correct to assume that once the dogs left she'd be normal again. And that's all she'd need. Without warning she let out a high-pitched shriek of frustration, unsheathing and sheathing her claws as she tore at the ground at the feet. "You're not going to hurt me," she hissed, sounding like someone who was paranoid. Licking her kits fiercely she raised her head, her eyes glinting with a new dangerous light. "You can't hurt them!" she screamed before dissolving into derisive laughter. She shook her head slowly back and forth, smirking. "You can't hurt them," she whispered.
OOC: Uh oh, Indigo's freaking out! Lol xD So I guess Twix or Wolf post next? Or Chief again maybe, doesn't matter

ooc: I guess Its my turn until twix and wolf come along XD poor cheif is having a melt down..not as big as Indy though lol "Don't call me that!" The orange tabby hissed and Cheif became confused and looked over her. "What kind of cat would have kids and not want to be called a mom, you cats are so strange!" Cheif spoke but it had a mixture of a snarl in it. Innosence clouded his eyes for a second. His mother had been so proud when she had given birth to her one surviving pup. Cheif was still a pup, but he was wrapped up to deeply in this world of cat hunting that he couldn't pull himself out. Taken in by Shiba, he was introduced to this world and was so excited that he didn't think. He shook his head roughly to shake his doubt of the small kits behind their mom. He growled more furious, but it was fuled by his fury for himself. Don't get distracted, Cheif!, he snarled and pulled his lips back to reveal his sharp canine teeth.
The orange she-cat let out a ripping hiss and insisted he'd go chase a rabbit instead, that he'd get no chance to get close to her or the kits. Before he could blink and let the doubt inside him control his actions, he snapped at the cat and she lept at him this time. Cheif's eyes wide with, not fear, but interest while the cat racked her claw on his muzzle. Cheif always had a high pain tolerance but this pain broke through the barrier of his mind. He threw his head back and for a second he stood on his hind legs.
He pounded the ground hard with his paws and his whimpers ceased as quickly as they came. He saw red now and he barred his teeth, his body trembled and the rage rose within him. His heart raced in his chest, "To think I was going to show you mercy! I was a fool to doubt my instincts for a second!" Suddenly a doberman jumped from the small thicket of forest to his side. He whispered a snarl in his ear. This must have Caesar, Shiba had told Cheif of the patroling dogs. Cheif felt no relief with this dogs presence, but he pushed the thought aside none the less. Cheif wasn't hungry anymore, this fight was merely to prove that he was indeed a cat killer! Cheif was almost certain of what he'd do to the cat, until she lurched herself at the doberman and he quickly struck her down.
Cheif halted his snarling and gasped at the cruel sight. There was a great battle being fought in his head, but he was apart of the pack and killing was who he was. What brought this trail of a conscious on? Cheif's heart lurched in his chest and before he knew it, his eyes were frantically looking to see if the cat had survived the blow. He saw the sheer revenge in the doberman's eyes and he returned to his original stance. He snarled and barked histarically, and it was silenced when he realized the she-cat had gone totally gone over the edge. He stared at her with a mixture of pitty and sadness.
"What have we done? She's gone completley insane..." He whispered and wasn't sure if the doberman had heard him. The cat edged closer to the dogs and sheilded her kittens with her own body. The doberman growled and even Cheif flinched. He turned his gaze swiftly to the cat as she edged closer to the dogs. "Are you suicidal!?! You've gone completly insane..." He stepped back an inch praying the doberman didn't see his weakness, the struggle inside his head. What did he care if the cat had a death wish? He started to tremble again, but not with fury.
He gulped and ran toward the cat ramming her with his big head. He hit her hard, but not with his full strength. He let his doubt and weakness take over him now. He was still a pup and he didn't want to kill her yet. He started to think maybe he was schitsofrenic. As the cat went rolling away from her kits, he hoped the impact would shake her out of her histeria, that maybe she would give up her suicidal mission and keep her distance from the jaws of death. He mouthed "Im sorry... and he realized he was standing right over the new born kits. The doberman watched with interest and Cheif knew he'd come for the kits....just like Cheif should be doing.
Whats going on with me....

I’ve got a bad feeling about this.[/I] Deciding to further explore this region of the world, the tom had decided to follow the familiar watercourse upstream to see where it took him. He had been to that stream too many times, mostly bad memories actually, so he wasn’t sure exactly what compelled him to follow it upstream, or to even come within a mile of the stupid stream. The last time he had been there, he had been in a sort of fishing competition with a tom that looked much like himself called Stellar. Wolf hadn’t even known how to fish until Stellar told him.
But the reason why he got into that whole fishing mess was because he mentioned the name ‘Indigo’ to Stellar. That had just sent him off the edge for reasons unknown to Wolf. Apparently, Stellar had said, Indigo was his lover. Well, he hadn’t exactly said that, but he said that he did love her, so Wolf assumed that they were lovers. When Wolf said that Indigo mistakenly thought that he was crazy, that had basically made Stellar do a one-eighty in his personality, and that’s how Wolf had ended up in a fishing tournament with him.
Anyways, back to Indigo. What could he say about her? She was completely INSANE. Insane, psychotic, mentally disturbed… He could go on and on for a while about her. Though he actually could relate to some of her problems. But just because he wasn’t very friendly didn’t give her the right to scream her heart out at him and then attack him. Honestly, she needed to learn how to control herself. You didn’t see Wolf attacking cats he was frustrated with… Well, not often, anyways. And he definitely didn’t take his problems out on them... Right?
The brown tabby continued upstream, sticking close to the water’s edge. He stopped as he heard a low rumbling noise. What was that? He opened his mouth and inhaled deeply. Instead of getting an answer to his confusion, he snarled at what he smelled. It was that Indigo character! What bad luck. His first instinct was to turn around and get the hell out of there. But then again, he really did want to find out what was up there and what that rumbling sound was, because it definitely wasn’t coming from the orange she-cat. He sat down beneath a tree, shaded from the sun.
As he pondered new smells started to come to him. He didn’t smell just Indigo now, he smelled… Three Indigos? What? Was there something wrong with his nose? Was it broken? He inhaled deeply. Four Indigos now! What the hell? He unconsciously stood up and started to jog towards the four Indigos. Now there was… Five… and now… Six! Six Indigos? How was he going to deal with six Indigos? Then he stopped as he smelled something else. There weren’t six Indigos. There was one Indigo and five Indigo-Stellars. ”Kittens?” Wolf said aloud to himself, bemused by this sudden turn of events.
Stellar and Indigo’s kits, huh? Interesting. How could he use this information to his advantage? He slowed his pace, but still walked in the direction of Indigo and her new litter. As he thought about how this could benefit him in some way, a new smell came to him. A dog. A big dog. He froze in his tracks. He was close enough now to hear the group over the rumbling of, now he saw it, a waterfall. He crouched low in the grass next to a tree, hoping to stay out of sight while he tried to figure out what to do. Good thing he was downwind of them.
He watched with gold eyes as the scene unfolded. The dog was going to kill Indigo and her kittens. Why didn’t she run? High tail it out of there? Eventually they were joined by another dog, another big dog. ’It’s going to be a massacre,’ He thought to himself, staring wide-eyed at the scene that had just unfolded in front of him. What was he going to do? He didn’t like Indigo at all. And he hated Stellar. So why would he rescue their stupid kittens? Their kittens would probably be twice as bad as their parents. His ears went back. Even with this in mind, he… He couldn’t just leave them. What if it was Daisy in Indigo’s place? With his kittens? He would want someone to save them…
Aha. He thought of an excuse for saving them. He could use this to sort of get revenge on Stellar for the fishing tournament. This way, he didn’t have to admit that he had actually wanted to save Indigo and her new litter. Taking a deep breath, Wolf tensed his muscles, ready to spring, waiting for an opportune moment. Which one should he attack, though? He watched as the husky stood over Indigo’s litter. Seconds ticked by and he didn’t kill them. He was obviously debating with himself, however, the Doberman looked murderous. But then again, Indigo could spring at him from her current position. And the husky could decide to gobble up the tiny, mewling kittens in a split second.
’I can’t believe I’m doing this,’ He thought to himself as he broke his cover, yowling ferociously as he sprang at the husky, aiming to get a good hold on his neck and fight him off, or, hopefully but not as likely, kill him. The big brute had so much fur that it would actually hinder him while he was trying to get at his neck to try and kill him. He was almost on the big dog now, forming a game plan in his head.

"You're assuming I wanted to have kits," Indigo countered angrily, hackles rising. Why was she bothering to talk with this dog? He was the enemy - the attacker. She needed to get rid of him but it was frighteningly obvious that she wouldn't be able to. She let out a quiet whimper, her eyes fixated on the pair of them, not moving. She was completely focused on them. They weren't going to get past her - they couldn't. She trembled, just thinking about her precious kits being torn up in those jaws. The thought provoked a vicious snarl from her and her eyes flashed angrily. She wouldn't let that happen.
Her kits depended on her, she realized. They needed her because right now they had no one else. Indigo wasn't so sure that she'd ever felt needed before. And she wasn't about to let down the first cats that needed her, she vowed with a rush of pride and bravery that she hadn't known she'd contained. Must have been those darn motherly instincts again, she thought with a smirk. "Suicidal?" She gave a harsh laugh at his choice of wording. "Yes in fact I am - was - but I'm not right now or else your job would be a whole lot easier wouldn't it?" she retorted. "Bet you'd love that wouldn't you? Not having to do any real work? Then you wouldn't have to over exercise your limited brain cells," she snapped, getting more and more angry as she spoke.
There was a sudden bang and Indigo let out a small moan as she felt the tough skull of the husky ramming into her own. She crept backwards to her kits again, surprised that she should feel so scared for them. The little maternal instincts that she had were taking over. "Mercy?" she whispered softly, the big dog's words repeating over and over in her head. Her lip curled with anger. "I'd be a fool to believe a dog capable of mercy, you idiot!" she snarled. "Do you even know what the word means?" she hissed, her eyes narrowing into furious slits.
She was startled out of her tirade by a sudden yowling. Springing up to her full height in surprise, she let out a yowl of surprise. Was that another cat? Was he running in her distracting the dogs? Was he helping her? Indigo felt her heart soar as she glimpsed for the briefest of moments that maybe she'd find a way out of this after all - her and the kits. But she refused to get her hopes up and let them distract her from her goal. But wait - Indigo did a double take, letting another even louder yowl of shock. Was that... Wolf? She blinked. It was! What was he doing here? He hated her - with reason. She'd attacked him. But as big of a jerk as he'd been - though maybe not that big after all, she thought guiltily - Indigo was glad to see him here. The two of them could maybe deal with the dogs by themselves, couldn't they?
But she was exhausted from giving birth and had to protect her kittens. Could she really take on one of the dogs? The Doberman? She'd have to. Gulping, Indigo let out a snarl as she crept towards the dog, her eyes remaining locked on his. She couldn't let him get past her. She couldn't. With a sudden screech of fury, she flung herself forwards at him. Anger blinded her senses and once again she was only aware of wanting to cause as much pain as possible to the thing that threatened the safety of her kits. This was for them.

The kits were just about a foot and a half feet below his fluffy stomach. Bile rolled up into his mouth as he couldn't stomach the thought of eating kits. Caesar, the doberman, looked to Cheif expectanly. If I don't do something harmful to these kits, Caesar would be sure to tell Shiba of my disobidience, Cheif gritted his teeth. The she-cat was visibly tired, but her words were filled with such venom, Cheif couldn't stand to be angry anymore. Her words echoed in his head for the slightest of a second, "I'd be a fool to believe a dog capable of mercy, you idiot!" [/b] Cheif prayed to some unknown higher power that something would give, an excuse not to take the lives of the kittens. His muscles started to covolse and he whimpered softly not wanting the doberman-radiating bloodlust-and the she-cat-insane and hysterical- would be able to hear his weak cry. "Caesar, I can't do th-" His knees buckled under him as he was about to confess his treachery when a yowling cat bounded out of the bushes a few tail-lengths away. Cheif looked to the yowling tom and back to the she-cat. You could tell in her eyes there was disbelief, she knew the cat but never dreamed of him coming to help. Cheif rolled his eyes and turned slightly to face the oncoming tom. He sighed and realized he deserved this onslaught of pain. He moved slowly back from the kits infear that he would stumble on them. Maybe I care more then I thought. Time for the fight! He spread his legs and took his offensive stance. The tabby tom lept onto his scruff and clawed his way to Cheif's throat. Cheif swung back and rumbled around like a bull at a rodeo. The tom finally found what he was looking for and he sunk his teeth into Cheif's neck fur. His yelp of sheer pain ripped through the forest. He became angry and instantly tired. He got a good hold on the cat's neck and ripped him off of him. He flung the cat into the she-cat's direction, barley missing the kits. "You cats better....watch out. More dogs are going to come and tear up the fabric of your home. Everything as you...know it will be destroyed." Cheif was out of breath and the battle that currently waged inside him felt like it wedged a spike in his skull. He winced at the split headache, but his attention was pulled back to the kits and thier mother. He stepped closer toward the cats and lost total focus of what was going on around him. The small brown tabby kitten with perfect white splotches sqeaked and Cheif's ears were immidiatley interested. He walked closer forgetting the angered mother and dropped his nose down to the ground. He wanted to sniff the kit but suddenly felt a raking claw against his nose. Angered by the interuption he snarled louder then he ever did. "I might hestitate with kits, but never think for a second I'd hesitate on adult cats!" He snarled and his heart skipped a beat. Now they knew he was weak, but he kept his snarl imminent. I have to prove myself, and he launched his brown husky body at the tabby tom, feeling the cat's fur litter his mouth. [/blockquote]

After a visit from the Thorton Stream Twilight was now very tired and was in good need of a nice cat nap. 'Stupid dog, I hate them. I hope Osprey will be alright by himself with those injuries.' The rare male calico though mentally conserned for his friend. After their incounter with the dobermen dog at the pumpkin patch the two headed to the Steam to clean off the rest of Osprey's wounds then headed their seperate ways again.
While cats where normally solume creatures Twilight very much perfered to be with others, though he would not be a burden and tail anyone for a long amount of time. Twilight liked to have his own thoughs to himself every now and then as well even if it got a little lonely. Knowing he had good friends like Osprey, Plum and Dandi out there made him feel better, less lonely.
Perking up slightly the calico tom's ears raised at the sound of rushing water. It was not like the water from the stream it was louder and much more heavier. Following the sound for a bit the sound got louder and he recognized it to be a waterfall. "Whoa, I didn't know there was a waterfall back here." He said aloud patting up more until strange but familiar scents filled his small pink nose. Winkling it the calico hissed. 'That mutt is here?!' His fur bristled at the though but that wasn't the other scent he got a whiff of. Laying his auds flat on his skull the calico catiously continued forward. Hey you know what they say curiousity killed the cat.
Sneaking around the calico tom stopped at the sound of voices, he couldn't make out what they where saying but he could hear at lest three voices. One belonged to that mutt and there was another male dog and what sounded like a female cat. Crawling closer the calico peeked through the leafs on the bush he took cover under. He was shocked to see what his eyes gazed upon.
Two large dogs eying a female cat and her newborn kittens and a tom trying to protect them. Judging by the color of the tom and the other kittens Twilight assume he was the father. 'How can they be so curel?' A deep growl emit from within Twix's throat. He couldn't just stand aside and watch this! There was no way they could possibly survive against two dogs, 'I doubt I'll make much of a differance but still I have to do something.' He growled and with a swift moment the calico leaped out of the bushes for his eye target: Caesar. Finger on the trigger, loaded bullet He hit the stage so full of rage Side of a Bullet - Nickelbackooc: Sorry for the short post. x.x

Tell me I’m an angel Take this to my grave.
The adrenaline was pumping through his body. He completely forgot about why he was attacking this big ugly brute as he made impact with the dog’s body. All he cared about now was killing this thing. To get it away from him. He wanted to kill it, taste it’s blood, and watch its cold, limp body with satisfaction. He would stand there, looking smugly at the blood-splattered coat; completely victorious. After he let his victory soak in, he would move onto the next canine, and the fight would end in the same result. Him, victorious. There was no other outcome.
He got a good hold, looking for his intended target, trying not to get knocked off as the dog tried to shake him off. His gold eyes, flaming with determination and confidence, found the spot where his teeth would sink in. He hissed as he lunged for the dog’s neck. He was looking forward to feeling his teeth sink into the soft flesh, taste the salty blood as he killed the beast. But instead of that, he found himself with a mouthful of smelly fur. He tried to dig his head deeper, to somehow get around this obstacle, and managed to find the skin. As soon as he was able to bite him, though, he was roughly yanked off and flung away.
As he was flung away, he came back to his sense a bit and the bloodlust temporarily subdued, he saw the reason why he was fighting these dogs again. Oh yeah. The kittens. He would have to try and find away to maybe lead his dog away from the kittens. Though, that didn’t seem necessary now that the dog started shouting whatever about the kittens and about how he wouldn’t hurt him… Something like that. Anyways, the Doberman seemed to be more of a problem now. He didn’t seem like he would be as ethical as the husky.
The Doberman was the threat now. The Husky, Wolf assumed, would probably help the Doberman to fight him and Indigo. But he wouldn’t harm the kits, and once they were done with the Doberman, they could continue onto the Husky and give him the same treatment that they would soon inflict upon the Doberman. He made these decisions in about two seconds, his claws unsheathed to rake across the Doberman. He hissed at the ugly creature before preparing to spring.
Just as he was about to lunge at the Doberman, two things happened. One, the Husky leaned closer to one of the kits, and, to Wolf, it seemed like it was about to eat him. Perhaps the earlier exclamation was just a bluff? What was he to do now? But then, just as he was about to spring at the Doberman, hoping that Indigo could take care of the Husky for a bit, a sudden flash of color went across his line of sight. He followed it, and realized that it was another cat who had sprang at the Doberman. It, too, had probably either heard or seen or smelled them and decided to come help.
Now that the Doberman was being taken care off, he sprang at the husky, raking his claw across it’s nose. It felt good to do that, but if he just continued scratching then it wouldn’t do any good. But wait, that gave him an idea. If he could possibly maneuver into a position on the Husky’s back, then he could claw away some of the fur at the neck before he was throw off again, and then lunge again and try to sink his teeth into its neck. With this plan in mind, he sprang up at the dog’s shoulder, hoping to try and get to a place where he would be safe from falling off for a while and at the same time being able to reach with his claws to rake some fur off.

It was almost humorous. The large dog rocked backwards slightly, his eyes scanning the scene that unravelled before him. Obviously, the cat seemed to be going insane. The thought of her own death? Perhaps. The thought of losing her kittens? More likely. He just smirked, his eyes narrowed. His body felt powerful again. That blow to the cat had had more impact that he had hoped, and she was obviously taken aback by it. He gasped abruptly as she lunged forward, her claws slicing into his chest. After a small whine of shock and pain, he leapt forwards, snarling maliciously. Pah. Puny feline. And she expected to win a battle against two dogs? Crazy. Cats were never the brightest creatures though. Caesar refrained himself from attacking again, licking his lips and wondering. Should he go in and target the kits? Nah. He'd have a little game with the adult first. His mind had completely overpowered him, just at the thought of cats. All considerate feelings forgotten, he made up a plot. A plan to make this day torture for the cat.
It was perfect. He knew exactly what to do. The doberman almost drooled at the thought of it. By the looks of the scene before him, the cat was on the edge of sucide, probably aiming to save her litter. Then, what would be the worst thing to do to her? Easy. He'd plan it out with the husky, and they'd team up. The husky could capture the cat, hold her back, yet facing the scene. She could watch as he slaughtered the kits. One by one. She could witness the death of her precious little kittens! What could be more torture than that? Nothing, nothing at all. It was completely instinctive to look after your kits with your life, for cats at least. So, they wouldn't let her kill herself. She's have to live in guilt. Perrrffect. His chocolate brown ears swivelled casually towards the crazy cat. She mewed some pathetic insults and threats. "How'd you like it if I killed your puppies," his voice was high-pitched as he repeated her words, mocking her every action with a glimmer of cruelty in his insane eyes.
He watched without much interest as another cat sprang onto the husky beside him. He was a tabby, like the kits in the litter. Was he the father? Ah well. He was expecting some other cat to arrive soon. Not that they had any chance at all. His eyes rolled tauntingly, and he soon felt a little orange bullet fire into his chest. The first cat again? Easy peasy. His jaw opened and he barked out countless insults, before leaping up and spinning around in mid air. In one swift movement, he crashed to the ground, hoping to crush the tiny body beneath him. Skillfully, he got to his feet and snapped out with his long jaws, hoping to bite the cat as hard as was possible. Imagine the tall doberman's surprise as he felt another creature spring onto his back. Twisting around, he managed to see some calico fur, and growling ferociously he spun around again and again, before slamming his body against the floor, repeating his previous tactic before mounting another attack on the male cat he had recently been attacked by. A large paw, complete with blunt black claws swung around, aiming to hit the multi-coloured feline on the upper-legs. If he could deal enough damage to his legs, he wouldn't be able to balance on his back any more!
His eyes swerved around to the husky. Thinking quickly he snarled some words to the fellow dog and leapt over his shoulder, hoping to confuse the cats around him. He smashed into the ground, but landed on his paws. Caesar's muscled brown body flew towards his target - the kits. In a single rapid movement, he ducked down and picked up two kits, one orange and one brown with white splodges. Swiftly, he raised them up into the air. He held the orange one in by the scruff of its neck, but the tiny head of the splodged kitten was in his jaws. "STOP," his voice boomed out, hoping to catch the attention of the felines. "Nobody move. Apart from Chief. If one cat moves a muscle to attack a dog, this kit gets it. Understand?" The kitten in question was a little girl. Caesar didn't know this, but the orange tabby had recently named her Kestrel. "If you want this puny cat to live, walk over to Chief. Now. If anyone tries to stop us, well." His fangs pushed down a tiny bit harder on Kestrel's head, and Caesar expected her to screech. She was only a kit, after all. He was considering letting this one go, it wasn't a bad little thing.
"Chief. Restrain the cats. If they go to you obediently, I'll give this one to the adults. And, when I say so, you can free the older cats." He spoke to Chief quietly, so only the other canine could hear. He ephasized the words this one. Obviously, he meant that this would probably be the only kit alive. "If we let this one live, the mother's gonna have to tell it what happened. She'll have to say she gave up on the others,"
Caesar cackled. ooc:; I hope you don't mind him doing this. ^-^ If you say so, I'll change it.

A sudden blur of calico fur was leaping at one of the dogs and Indigo blinked in confusion. Someone else had come to help? She could feel her hopes rising - maybe she'd come out of this alive after all. Maybe the kits would live after all. Wolf and the calico were attacking the doberman and the husky now but to Indigo's surprise, the husky seemed confused. Had he just said he'd hesitate over the kits? Even more hope for their survival! But as he leaned down closer to them Indigo gave an angry yowl, lashing out with her claws across his face. "Stay away!" she screeched, thankful when he whirled around to confront Wolf.
It was the doberman that really worried her. The husky seemed barely more than a pup and obviously having some trouble going through with the murderous plan in action. The doberman, on the other hand, seemed cruel and calculating and Indigo knew that he would not hesitate over harming the kittens. She felt a rush of anger welling up inside of her that she was almost helpless. Even with the other two cats, the dogs were much bigger. They would all die. She trembling, nudging her kits closer to her. They were wailing and crying now but Indigo had no clue what to do for them except for licking their tiny heads in bewilderment before glancing back up.
Her eyes locked with the doberman's eyes and she was stunned by the intensity of the cruelty that glittered there. What horrible terrors had he planned for them? Indigo shivered, thinking very much that she did not want to know. But something in his gaze held her capitivated and though she trembled, it was hard to tear herself away to see how Wolf and the calico were doing. She should have been fighting too, she realized. But the kits! She couldn't leave them. But the dogs would be preoccupied with fighting, wouldn't they?
Before she had time to act, the doberman had snatched up two of her kits. Indigo leapt at him but fell short. She stared in horror at his proclamation. "No..." she whispered softly. "No!" she shrieked, her mind whirling. How could she save them? How cold she save her precious little Kestrel and her Lion? She whimpered, sucking it in so it would not be heard. Her body trembled as she fought anxiously to find a solution. If she went obediently.... Kestrel would live. Her tiny little kitten there in the dog's jaws would live. But the others would die.
It didn't seem right to sacrifice the ones that were safe for one that in grave danger. What if he didn't give her Kestrel? Indigo cast a frightened glance at Wolf and the other tom, the calico. What was she supposed to do? Her eyes flashed angrily as the doberman spoke again. "I'm not giving up," she hissed angrily. "I just lost," she whispered, shaking. Anger flared up inside of her. She wouldn't just sit there and accept that she was the loser. She had to do something.
But what?
If they sprang at the husky, her little Kestrel would die. If they sprang at the doberman... Depending on their timing, she could still die. But what if he didn't see it coming. What if Indigo could somehow knock her from his jaws. She would push her out of them and then the teeth would close around her. She shivered at the thought but had no other idea. This way her kits would live. Wolf and the calico could deal with the dogs and then figure out what to do with them. Indigo doubted they'd just abandon them after saving their lives.
Shaking with fear, Indigo sank lower to the ground in submission. "Fine," she spat, glancing up at the doberman with the eyes of someone who has already lost. "Just give me my Kestrel. Give me my daughter!" She forced choking sobs as she crept forward, as if to fetch her kit. All the while she could feel her heart pounding as she prayed that this would work. She glanced up at the doberman with weak eyes - grief-struck eyes. She imagined what would happened if she failed.
And when she finally close enough, Indigo sprang up in one powerful motion, slamming into the doberman's jaw as her front paws pushed Kestrel out. The kit squealed with pain as the teeth slid across her fur and Indigo knew she'd have a cut or two but they wouldn't be serious. For her, on the other hand, it seemed there was no hope. She'd pushed her daughter out of the dog's jaws and with her back feet she pushed down on Lion's back, sending him plummeting to the ground while the dog was left with scraps of orange fur in its jaws. And her.
OOC: No, that's fine! Lol. Hope this works too lol, it was the only idea I had. I figure Caesar can like bite down pretty hard on something but maybe the angle isnt right and she's like seriously injured but manages to live somehow? Hope this works with you guys, I don't mind changing it if someone has a problem.

After the brown tabby tom escaped his huge jaws, he jumped onto his broad husky shoulders. It seemed like the cat was looking for a spot to attack and Cheif bounded into the air and landed with a thud rattling the tom. Unfortunately, the cat was positioned well and started scratching excessively at the back of his neck. He yowled in pain, and his vision had a faint tint of red. He turned his big head around and tried to snap at the cat, but barley grabbed it's tail. When he felt the feline fur in his mouth he yanked and pulled the cat off. His neck stung and he was thankful his breed had a lot of fur. As the tabby tom hit the ground, another yowling calico flew to the back of Caesar.
Instead of looking angry or filled with rage, he had a snide smirk on his face. He smashed his body into the ground as the cat gripped his back. Cheif stopped staring at the doberman and turned to snarl at the two other cats. "Insanity! How do you plan on surviving!?!" Cheif's snarl cracked and showed he was still a bit confused and frightened. The she-cat knew now that he wasn't going to be much of a problem after he confessed how he felt about the kits. The brown tabby jumped at him again, but he jumped back eveading the attack. He barked repeadedly at the cats but always kept Caesar in his peripheral vision.
The calico seemed to be giving Caesar a bit of a problem, but not enough to sidetrack the dog from his plot. And suddenly before Cheif could react, Caesar threw the calico tom off and swept up two of the kittens. Cheif gasped, and he thought he was getting over his doubt, but his mind only seemed to revolve around those kits. Caesar picked up the small orange male tabby and the brown-white splotched tabby she-cat, the one that Cheif had been fond of. "CAESAR N-" Cheif yelped and was interrupted by Caesar's command to the cats. Who died and made Caesar alpha! Cheif growled but figured Caesar would think he was growling at the startled cats. The calico and the tabby unwillingly walked toward Cheif, eyes locked on Caesar. Their eyes filled with rage, their small muscles trembling like his were. What kind of deal is that?
The mother tabby's eyes were filled with such strife and sadness. Kestrel? Cheif mumbled adoringly as he finally knew his favorite kits name. The mother walked toward Cheif and spat at the towering Doberman. Did Caesar think she was a fool!?! Who would believe a deal like that? The she-cat knew he wouldn't let either survive. The tabby mother bunched her muscles and Cheif knew she was going to spring. At the last second before she was about to jump, Chief was ready to jump toward Caesar and grab the kits.
He knew the orange tabby's plan and he was going to follow her movement. I know I'm going to regret what I'm about to do! But it's the righ thing to do... His blue and brown eyes caught every movement of the she-cat and she crashed into Caesar's mouth pushing Kestrel and the orange kit from his mouth. Sacrifice?.... Cheif had never seem a sight like that, and never knew the real term os sacrifice. As the kits fell to the ground Cheif dashed and swooped under the large mouth of Caesar and gently snatched the kits from mid-air. He took a few steps after regaining his balance and turned to Caesar, the kits both in his jaws. Caesar gave a satisfied nod with the tabby still crushed in his jaws. He looked to the mother she-cat and her eyes were filled with such anger and a tint of sadness as she had to realize her plan had failed....but had it?
She howled a plea to Cheif and it seemed her hysteria had come to an end. She had come to terms with her mind, she thought her plan would work. Both tabby toms clenched their teeth and snarled as they edged their way toward Cheif and taking advantge of Caesar's distracted terms. He looked into the mother's eyes and his pores practically oozed redemption. He looked at her and hoped she'd understand his eyes, 'Don't worry...I'm not supposed to be doing this but I will not hurt your kittens... He cautiously walked the two kits to their brother and sisters and lowered the kits gently to the floor, placing them near his paws where Caesar would have to fight to get them now.
Cheif wanted Caesar to drop the mother cat and in his mind he would disobey his alpha to get what he wanted. But with the stunt he planned on pulling, there'd be no respect left for him and Shiba would have his hyde. Even the new members to the pack would look down on him and constantly snap at his heels, but he'd still walk with pride because to him he'd be doing the right thing. Even if it was for a cat! No regrets, he sighed and Caesar seeing what Cheif was doing applied more pressure to the mothr cat in question. He gulped and held his head high, he peered toward the toms and snarled a warning. Even if they didn't listen, Cheif would fight them off and get Caesar to let go. Cheif was about Caesar's hieght but beefier and he held his authoratative voice,"The kits need a mother Caesar....for now" he had to add that last part to make it sound like he was still on the pack's side, which really he still was. "Lets report back to Shiba, we need to regroup anyway" Caesar didn't let go though and a snarl ripped through Cheif's clenched teeth. Maybe a weak plea would work and Ceasar would probably appreciate a pup to submit and beg.
His claws dug into the soft soil, and he rolled his eyes. "Caesar, please! You can tell Shiba of my disobidience but drop her!" Another snarl. The toms bunched their muscles and Cheif's heart spen a mile a minute. This won't turn out well... OOC: Ok! Sorry it's long and If anyone has a problem with the events currently going on with Cheif and his actions, let me know. I'll change it ASAP! but I hope it's ok...I had planned for if Caesar didn't drop Indy he'd ram himself into him?? I don't know, whatever you guys want XD

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?Hitting home, the multi-colored feline emit a loud hiss like growl as his daggers dug deep into the flesh of the Doberman’s back. His claws racked at the thin fur and skin as he clung to the canine. His eyes wide with rage as blood entered his mouth, the smooth metallic crimson liquid that ran through this creatures veins. His veins. He would take it all he would sever each and every vein in his body for not only what he was doing but for who he was!
The mixed colored cat’s claws dug in deeper as the Doberman tried to buck him off his back, but Twilight would not fall! He growled lowly with a high protest as the dog roughly coaxed him, trying to force him off the dog’s back. However he would not let go not even if his life depended on it, for these kittens lives depended on him killing this dog.
Heavy blunt claws racked down on the feline’s hind leg and he let out a yowl of pain. The muscles in his body for a moment weakened in the blinding pain causing the calico to fall to the ground landing oddly and painful on all fours. Growling angrily the feline spat at the familiar Doberman. “Have you no heart?!” Rage surged through his veins as his emerald orbs flared as he glared daggers at the ugly brute. “How can you be so cruel to murder defenseless kittens and their mother?!” He continued to yell at the two dogs the deep emotion cracked in his voice.
His emerald orbs never left Caesar. The fur on his back bristled and his tail puffed to twice it’s normal size. All muscles tensed in his body as he stood firmly on the ground like a rock statues in place. Waiting, just waiting for the dog to make his next move. Waiting to intercept him and cling to his flesh once more where he could taste that metalic crimsom liquid that gushed from his veins.
Suddenly the dog leaped forward and Twilight’s muscles bunched ready to leap upon him again until two small kittens we’re swept up in his massive jaws. One bite and they would be dead. “Let them go!” He ordered with a snarl his ears laid flat on his head. Never had he felt so angry before. “H-have you no compassion?!” He shouted as his body trembled angrily. “What gives you the right to take their lives away?!” He yelled his fangs bared as he readied himself to attack the dog again. Bunching his muscles up the calico crouched down readying himself to pounce on his target once more until a flash of orange flew at the large dog’s jaw.
The small kittens flew from out of the dog’s jaws only to land in the others, Twilight emit a low hiss. “Let them go.” He growled lowly his hackles raised ready to pounce on the new target the husky. About to pounce on him when he lowered his head to what looked like to eat the kittens he stopped surprised when the two kittens where placed on the ground safely.
His eyes turned back to Caesar as he held the mother of the kittens in his jaws now. The husky begged for him to let her go and leave. Twilight’s eyes burned intently into Caesar as he waited for his next move. Would he let her go or not? He was out numbered now with the husky on their side and three adult cats.
