In a way, I need a change
From this burnout scene
Another time, another town
Another everything
But it's always back to you
I didn't see the faith coming, I couldn't feel it, sense it, know it. I will never know why.
I walked close to his feet. Following him down the cement drive way, he told me we were going for a ride. Prancing down the drive way I stood at his car awaiting the opening of the door. My tags jingling and I ran. sitting in the front seat, not noticing the strange look on his face. Something was wrong, but being to excited for the ride I didn't take notice, notice that I would soon end up like the others.
Stumble out, in the night
From the pouring rain
Made the block, sat and thought
There's more I need
It's always back to you
But I'm good without ya
Yeah, I'm good without you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Pulling into the ever so familiar parking lot my tail thumped as I glanced at my master, looking for the big smile on his face, the gleam of his white fangs. But what I thought was upon his face was not there but rather a frown, a stern face. My tail stopping and glancing out the window to see a dog tied to a pole, no master there for him, no love, no affection, nothing to love.
How many times can I break till I shatter?
Over the line can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Give me a break let me make my own pattern
All that it takes is some time but I'm shattered
I always turn the car around
I always wondered about these dogs, I wondered why were they in depression, and where was their love in life. What did they wake up every morning to? A life of hate and depression? How can you survive in such a harsh world? But for all I knew I was going to find out all the answers to my questions. My black nose pressed up against the glance watching the dog.
I had no idea that the night
Would take so darn long
Took it out, on the street
While the rain still falls
Push me back to you
But I'm good without ya
Yeah, I'm good without you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Looking back at him he grabbed my leash, hopping, following him out the door. We walked side by side to a gate, the gate leading to the large fenced area containing the dog park. Fog was settled across the area, the day was early, birds were singing as he unhooked my leash and threw the Frisbee. I ran catching it perfectly in the air. Bringing it balck, a big goofy smile on my face.
How many times can I break till I shatter?
Over the line can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Give me a break let me make my own pattern
All that it takes is some time but I'm shattered
I always turn the car around
This went on for a few hours, and the fog soon melting away revealing the start of a hot day. You tongue lolling out of your mouth as you glanced up at him. Walking out of the park, as if life could go on forever, walking to the side of the park, where hills rolled, and fields grew, and no boundaries were made. Slipping your collar of your neck he threw the frisbee far, you ran after it chasing it far, catching it, and running back to return to nobody.
Give it up, give it up, baby
Give it up, give it up, now
Now
Nobody to love, nothing left in your life. You stood in the grass looking for him hiding, to hear your name called. But nothing seemed to change. You sat waiting for days. No food. No water. No love.
Your a stray now, nothing can change.
This is it.
How are you going to live life?
Are you going to find love?
Can your Survive?
What pack will you join?
What mark will you leave?
Will you make your own pattern?
You adventure starts Now.
