STAFF WANTED

Yes, finally, Carpe Diem is looking for some staff to help run the site.
Currently the staff team is just me and our two advertising mods, Vion and Rawr. But I'm going to change the job of the advertising mod, adding a bit, and let others audition for it as well cause it was just given out before and no one else really got a chance. Anyone can advertise the site or get us affiliates and PM them to me if they want to help out, the staff position will require a bit more.

I'm also looking to take on one moderator who will help out a bit around the site. Here are the job descriptions:

Moderator:
Hiring one.

Responsibilities:

• Locking and archiving threads that are no longer active
  
• Dealing with dead unfinished threads*
  
• Letting people know when they are breaking rules and dealing with it
  
• Helping to resolve disputes between members
  
• ...And any other little tasks I might throw their way
  

Powers:

• Lock threads
  
• Move threads
  

*If a thread is unfinished but dead then you must contact the members who rped that thread and figure out what was supposed to happen. You then modify the last post in the thread by adding at the end:

Then you would lock and archive the thread.

If the members are inactive/gone then contact me and I will decide the conclusion of the thread.

Advertiser:
Hiring two..

• Affiliating the site with other sites / Advertising us on other sites
  
• Checking over affiliate requests and adding them if they meet the standards*
  
• Routinely checking our affiliates and removing any where the site has died / does not exist any more
  
• ...And any other little tasks I might throw their way
  

Powers:

• Lock threads
  
• Headers and footers
  

*You must make sure that they have put our mini-banner up on the site. If not you reply to the thread and ask them to please put our mini-banner up on their site, then we will put up theirs.

Alright, so those are the positions that need to be filled. Sorry to Rawr and Vion, but you guys can both apply for your old spots. Rawr especially, you've been getting us tons of affies lately so you'll probably get it back, I just want to make this fair so others have a chance to try out for it =)

Do not post here in this thread unless you want to let me know that you're planning on applying or have applied or just want to share insight/chat.

ANY APPLICATIONS POSTED HERE WILL BE DISREGARDED.

I don't want everyone to be able to read what other people have written for their applications because in my experience that gives an advantage to the person who applies last and can see what everyone else has written and also makes people who post after others add more then they might have or stretch stuff out to sound better if they know the competition. Just PM it to me.

Lastly, the deadline for applications is August 31 but this may be bumped up if I see everyone has sent one in. Plus, that's when I'm mainly going to need the help. This also allows members that are on vacation/away or will be on vacation/away to send in applications when they get back.

Thanks and good luck to everyone! Even if you're new, you might as well just send in an application and give it a shot, there's nothing to lose. And everyone that is applying, go all out. The more I know about you/why you'd be good, the better. Just don't ramble on for the sake of a higher word count.

I really want to help you out lu, but being a moderator would be pretty hard wouldn't it? I mean School is starting back up for me in about three weeks and truth be told....I have no clue how to work a site. Is there anything I can do to help at all?

That's fine -hugs- I completely understand that this is a hard time when everyone's gonna be starting school again and all that. If you want to help, anyone's free to advertise Carpe Diem, affiliate with other sites (just PM me their banner and code) or even just spread the word of mouth and refer members. That's all easy and can be done by those that aren't advertising mods - the ad mods just have it as a responsibility and have to sort ours as well. So yeah, you can help in those ways whenever you want and however much you want and we'll love you for it all the same
