I've pretty much exhausted Thunder's song lyrics;
A sleek shadow approached the side of the barn; a shadow in the shape of a cat. The darkness of nighttime helped conceal him from any prying eyes that may have been watching, any predators or any humans that could have been out at this hour. The moon was concealed behind drifting gray clouds, only slivers of light being able to cast a shadow on the world below. Without a sound, the cat slipped inside a small crack in the wall and immediately spotted what it had come here for.
Step, step. Creak. Step, step. Creak. Step, step. Creak... Thunder Tanglewood was amazed that the rat hadn't noticed its assailant, barely a tail-length away. The floorboards in the old structure were as unstable as the rest of it, which was extremely unstable. The place was falling apart, and the tom was surprised that a human would allow a place of theirs to grow so shoddy. Whenever he came here to hunt the plump rodents, Thunder had always been afraid that it would collapse on him any minute. It hadn't - not yet. Hopefully it would stay that way.
His pupils wide from absorbing what little light trickled into the barn, the dark ginger tabby continued to creep up on his prey, moving his limbs as little as possible. When he got close enough, finally the rat noticed his presence and started to scamper off. But by then it was too late. In one fluid motion, Thunder pounced and pinned the rodent down, killing it swiftly with a bite to the neck. He was aware that he had sent the other rats fleeing to their hiding places with his actions, but it didn't matter now; he had his prize. Content, the tom carried the limp body toward a bail of hay and crouched down to enjoy his meal.
These rats were certainly plumper than any prey Thunder could find in the forest, that's for sure. Though he enjoyed the forest and it was where he could be found most often, he did choose to pick off these rapidly-multiplying rats when he could. It killed him to think that he was helping a human by killing the pests, but if it meant having a full belly, it was worth it. Strays never could know when they were going to eat next, so it was wise to take advantage of the opportunity whenever possible. Many learned that the hard way; Thunder chose to not have to. The tomcat was young, but he knew much.
so I'm not going to put any here.
