A Point System??
Alright I've been thinking for a while about doing a little point system. The points would be displayed in your mini-profile and you'd earn one for every post you make as well as being able to win points in site competitions. Buuut I haven't figured out what the points would be good for lol. Here are some ideas:
- Getting special markings (Need to think of a realistic reason they'd have them though- past humans dyed them??)
- Getting a new character without having to go through the process of applying
- Getting colored names (once I get the code lol)
- Getting a custom title (iffy cause I might use this for position once we get little colonies if that ever happens)
- Can have small amount of text in sig
- Can have an av larger than 100 x 100 (once I get the code)
So which ideas do you guys like and which ones do you dislike. If I did the av thing it would be like max 100 pixels in width still so it doesnt stretch and then 150 / 200 px in height.

I like the markings idea, av's, and the applying for a new cat.
They all sound good to me.
Maybe if you introduce colonies/clans/groups, you could buy the right to make your own :]

Hmm that makes sense. Like you'd need a certain mount to apply to start a clan and then I pick two or something? Or one cause Indigo'd probably run one lol xD

Okie dokie. Here is my proposal.
Point System
Earning Points
- You earn 1 point for every post you make on Carpe Diem*
- You can earn points in contests
- If you've been helping out alot or being friendly to others and I notice I may just give you a few extra points
Spending Points
- 30 Points - Colored Name
- 50 Points - Can make new character without applying for it
- 100 Points - Can have an avatar that is 100 pixels in width but 150 pixels in height**
* If you start posting everywhere for no reason to the point that I consider it spam you will lose points though I will usually give you a warning first.
** This is not set up yet

Any ideas on how the special markings could be realistic? I'm thinking they could have been dyed by their owners but then wouldn't that eventually fade?

Ooo, I like the ideas so far, Indigo!!
The markings' origins would kinda have to depend on the history of the cat. Like if their owners splattered paint and it go onto them. Or maybe a little kid drew on them (XD)... Something like that.
Sorry, fresh out of ideas for that.
But the ideas for spending and earning are good so far.

Ooh actually thats good- normal colors just not-so-normal arrangements. Hmm how about:
- 100 points - Can make a NEW character that has unusual shaped markings (Heart or Star on Forehead, Swirls along flank, etc.) in NATURAL colors
- 150 points - Can make a NEW character that has an unusual color of markins (Red, blue, green, pink- from owner dying their fur in the past) in a NATURAL shape of marking.
- 300 points - Can make a NEW character that has unusual shaped AND colored markings
