B E T R A Y E DHumans had left thousands of years ago. Their advanced technology took them to the stars, abandoning the planet that they had so horridly corrupted. Countless species died out, others evolved to survive on the constantly changing land. Those that adapted learned to live on the polluted vegetation and to withstand the acid precipitation (though with the years the chemicals weakened drastically). Some thrived so well that their life span increased phenomenally, surviving for nearly two hundred years. Of these stood the equine, who so dutifully took over the role of dominance and authority. Councils were established where ever he horses roamed, and an empire began to arise, complete with hierarchies and religion. But I am not here to tell of those. The tale that I am here to deliver is that of Amaro, a story stricken with bloodshed, betrayal, rivalries, and above all else, religion. Will you listen?
