It's not always rainbows and butterflies It's compromise that moves us along No matter what Indigo said, Stellar would not be convinced. This was his fault. How could it not? He had given in to the temptation, and now, he was being told it wasn't his fault? So, what, then, if Stellar jumped of a cliff because he couldn't have Indigo for a mate, it wasn't his fault for dying?
Stellar settled when Indigo grinned, but then he hear Indigo speak again. If she loved Ash so much, then why was she here? Why had she let Stellar mate with her?
"A much deeper level, eh? I guess when you leave someone then tell them to mate with them makes you a love guru, then. What is wrong with you Indigo? You tell me you love me and then you get like this? I hope Ash has a great time with you. Enjoy your kits!"
Stellar got up, and walked away, not looking back at Indigo. Stellar didn't want to do this, but this would give him something to remember whenever he started worrying about Indigo. Something to tell him never to go back to her. Something to make him...
How was he doing this? Leaving her? He knew how. She wanted him to leave. She didn't love him. She had used him. She had told him she loved him and then ripped him up into millions of peices and thrown them up into the wind. Now he was scattered, with no one to pick him up and put him together again. He was alone, never to see Indigo again. And now Ash would be happy. Stellar hissed at the thought of that tom.
"'And we'll love each other for the rest of forever,'" Stellar said in a mocking voice. "Make sure you love him, Indigo. Because I won't be here to love if you ever want to come back."
Inside, even though he said that, Stellar was falling apart. He felt like laying down in a heap of garbage and just letting the flies eat him. He kicked a soup can with his brown paw and trudged off.
My heart is full and my door's always open You can come any time you want
OOC: I like my ripped up analagy... XD;;

Impossible to find...
Indigo trembled, hating herself so much for the words that she had allowed to slip like poisonous venom from her tongue. How could she have been so cruel? But it was all for the best in the long run. Stellar needed to move on, get over her. If he thought that she loved him and pined for him too then he never would. So she had to get rid of him, get rid of his love for her. She would suffer silently if that's what it would take. But it hurt so much, just seeing the pain etched into his features as she spoke, each of her words cutting into him like a knife. Cut. Cut. Cut.
She didn't think she could do this. She was aching to explain it to him. To tell him that she didn't mean. But then that would ruin everything. Indigo clung onto that one shred of information as Stellar's hurt voice taunted her. She couldn't back down. "I'm oh so sorry that you're obviously just a sore loser! You're only mad that you didn't win!" She wanted to cringe but she couldn't. Her blazing eyes betraying none of the emotional torment she felt inside, Indigo squared her jaw, hoping that it was not trembling too visibly. She couldn't do this.
She had to! Forget about herself for just one moment, this was for Stellar's sake. "And we will have a great time!" she shot back. "And lots of kits!" He had meant kits with Ash, right? He hadn't thought... No. She pushed that thought away. Truthfully she didn't even want kits with Ash for a while. But she couldn't say that. she could herself on the verge of breaking down. It would be so easy to just dissolve into tears... But she'd hate herself for the rest of eternity if she did. She'd made enough mistakes, hurt enough cats, recently. For once, she was gonna do the right thing and screw her own happiness.
Stellar's taunting voiced dug into her mind and she forced herself not to squeeze her eyes shut and run away like the coward she knew she was. For once she was doing the right thing. And as horrible as it was to hear Stellar saying he wouldn't be there to love if she ever came back, she couldn't help but feel relieved. The pain wasn't for nothing. Some good had been accomplished. But that meant almost nothing now as the roaring tidal wave crashed down on her sense, freezing her. They were truly done now. No romantic, want each other forever ending. Definitely not a happy ending. A screwed up, messy, painful ending and that was it.
She had lost him.
Given him up.
OOC: Yeah, it's good. I love putting metaphors and analogies into posts, mainly with Indigo though cause they come easiest with her. So sad though... But finally Indigo did the right thing. We all knew it had to happen eventually lol.
