Opal huffed as she slowly had sidled down onto her haunches as she watched the red tail-lights disappear into the distance. She felt her ears slowly fold back as she bowed her head, her chest slowing it's quick pace as she caught her breath. Opal then looked up, an angered look in her eyes directed in the direction the machine went as she huffed and then stood, her paws sunken into thin, wet snow that was on the road. She shivered slightly and trotted over to the side of the road, the small bell on her collar tinkering as she went. Hearing the noise in the quiet place made her steps falter as she looked down to try and see it, only able to see it a little out of the corner of her eye.
She sat down then to raise her back paw to itch under her collar at first before it worked more fervently to work it slowly off of her neck. She got it partially off her head before she switched to her front paw and pulled it off, looking at the piece of human claiming that it represented and swiped at it, sending it a little ways off into the snow. She let a soft growl escape the back of her throat as she looked in it's direction before shaking her head, " it's over now ..," she said softly and got up to again walk down the sidewalk at the side of the road. Her gait was slower and lanky, her tail swinging from side to side with her movements as her wide eyes caught most movements. A majority she had hoped anyway.
As a wind passed her eyes squinted and her shoulders hunched up a little, her winter coat keeping most of it out though she had never had to put it to the test before -- this was exciting. She grinned softly on her maw as she looked around, this was going to be interesting for sure.

Indigo ran down the road lightly over the snow. She knew the cave-thing was somewhere close. It had to be. Ahead she could make out a dark shape, contrasting brightly against the white snow. Squiting, she realized this shape was another cat. Maybe one that had just been left here too... She wasn't really in the mood for 'making friends' and all that but she was headed over in that direction anyway. It would be impolite to just ignore the other cat.
She sighed as she trotted closer. "Hey." The one word was, in her mind, ample introduction. In other circumstances she would have babbled through the greetings like a whirlwind and then raced off to do something fun but she was wet and her paw still throbbed from the little gash. Her orbs narrowed in the slightest. So what? She wasn't omplaining about the cold was she? She didn't feel cold at all. She never did. It was just something weird about her she had amazed others with while growing up.
"I'm Indigo. You? I just got left here-" she paused to make a face. "But that's all right. I love being a stray. It's much fun." She gave a soft, tinkly laugh. Bubbly and babbling was alright. Two words that could easily be used to describe her. At least the weather wasn't putting a damper on her spirits. Now that would be the day.

Stellar followed Indigo quietly. She was running very fast, even with her gash. He sped up to get closer to her, to be able to see where they were going. He saw a cat-like shape ahead, and he guessed that was what Indigo was squinting at. He slowed down, heaving heavily. The sharply bright snow glistened in his eyes. He closed them quickly.
"Hey," she had said, after sighing. Was she not happy to find another cat? He watched her as her eyes narrowed. He took this opportunity to speak. "Hello," he said, "my name is Stellar Snowpaw. What might your name be?" He looked at Indigo, she was finally cheering up. Nothing could make her down for to long. She was Indigo Wintertrap. He smiled.
"I had to run away. My father told me to. I don't know why..." Stellar sighed slightly, remembering his father, and his mother... And his sisters. They were so cheery, like Indigo. "But, I know it was for the best."

Indigo grinned as she heard Stellar padding up from behind her. It made her feel happy to remember she had some company out here. She didn't doubt herself or anything- she could get by alone- but that wasn't to say she didn't appreciate having a pal to tough it out with. She raised one brow and the black she-cat who had still not yet spoken. Perhaps she was shy or just preferred being alone and was hoping they would go away. This idea made Indigo angry. She didn't like the thought of someone thinking her a little loser to ignore. This wasn't necessarily the case but she couldn't have cared. Her mind was made up. She smiled a fake little smile and she she-cat and turned around to Stellar.
"I think she probably wants to be left alone." Indigo frowned as she spoke quietly to the tom. "That's alright. I was getting bored anyway." She raised her voice a little bit as she spoke, rolling her eyes before shoving past the tabby tom. "Coming Stellar?" She whipped her head around and grinned at the tom, wanting him to know that even if she was slightly ticked off it had absolutely nothing to do with him and yes, of course, she wanted to still hang out with him. Her gold eyes flickered playfully as her devious little mind thought of all the things they could get up to now that they were strays, free on the streets, as she pranced off down the road.

Stellar looked at the she-cat, the black she-cat, before following Indigo. "Perhaps she has something on her mind. Something that drains her out of the world," he said to Indigo. He followed plafully, bounding and leaping in the snow. His coat waved in the cool, crisp wind as he followed the she-cat.
He wondered why the other she-cat hadn't answered. 'Maybe she had something frightning on her mind... Maybe she is shy... He wondered if Indigo and himself were... Frightning? No. They weren't the least bit frightning, atlest not Indigo. His thoughts wandered.
