Dandi giggled, racing ahead of her brother. Oh what fun it was to be able to do completely as she pleased! Getting food and surviving on her own were the farthest things from priorities at that moment as she grinned and ran through the grass, leaping at the occasional butterfly. She quickly reached the forest and paused for breath, laughing even as she panted. She collapsed onto her back in the grass, shaking with irrepressable glee. This was life!

She quickly jumped to her paws, eager to explore. It was then that she spotted the stream, which ran along the forest before vanishing into it. Her eyes widened. "Ooooh!" she sighed, her mind flickering over all the great possibilities of her new freedom and the ah-mazing river. "Reed!" she shrilled. "Lookit the river! Isn't it ah-mazin'?" She grinned and giggled to herself again.

Reed laughed as he ran along behind, struggling to keep up with his overly excitable sister. "You were right Dandi, this place is great!" He grinned. I'm glad she's happy. He countinued along behind her, going as his own pace, enjoying the sun and taking in the surroundings. Looking ahead he saw her very close to a river. Terror gripped him. I can't loose Dandi! He ran a little faster, dodging through the brush and growth easily. He reached her quickly. "Dandi moive away... nevermind." He sighed. Don't control her, just make sure she doesn't get into any trouble. He looked at the gurggling rjver in front of him. "It's pretty."

Dandi smirked, glancing back over her shoulder. "I'm always right," she assured him, without a trace of even false modesty. It was true - a given fact. The sun rose in the east and Dandi was always right. 'Truthfulness' and 'Honesty' were both on her List of Good Qualities her mother had dictated to her as a kitten.

She wrinkled her nose as Reed's voice sounded again, tell her to move away. She narrowed her eyes. Stupid bossy brother - always trying to control her! Just to spite him she took a step closer with a little giggle. But the water had risen a bit and was muddier than expected along the bank. She gave a squeal as mud touched her precious fur, jumping back but falling at the same time and sliding into the shallows of the river with another shriek.

Reed acted quickly, bounding over to his sister, helping her back up on to the bank. "What did I tell you Dandi? Don't go that close!" He rolled his eyes, desperate for his parents help. "Don't go thinking you always right, clearly that wasn't right!" He sighed loudly and trotted just a little bit away. He paced around, irritated beyond words. Your not her father, jsut let her do what she wants. If she dies doing it oh well.... Reed shook the thought from his head. No your her big brother! she has no one else! You have to protect her! He looked over at his sister, feeling sorry for his outburst. "Sorry Dandi." He muttered below his breath.

Dandi felt Reed pulling her up and out of the water and she let out a little hiss. Why did her brother always have to act so much better than her? He WASN'T! /she pouted, whelling around to face him as soon as she was steady on the grass. But before she had even had the chance to open her mouth he was ranting away at her. "F-for your information," she managed afterwards - completely dumbsturck. "I am always right. Mama said so." She couldn't even look at him. A tremble ran through her body but it wasn't from the cold of the river water. She gulped, sparing a glanced down at her soaked muddy fur - sticking oddly to her structure. She whimpered.

That wasn't even her biggest problem. Who was Reed to get mad at her for falling in a river? He should have been worried to pieces! He certainly shouldn't be gloating. "Sorry Dandi." She finally faced her brother, narrowing her eyes into hard slits for a moment before relazing them as if everything was perfect. "Apology not accepted," she said primly, turning her head away and starting to trot off without looking back.

OOC: Lol, she's still here just starting to leave lol.

Reed started after her, his mouth a gap. He huffed loudly. "I take my apology back! I should have never tried to looked for you. I was worried you'd be hurt, but clearly you were doing just fine!" He sighed loudly. "I mean the fact that your fallnig into rivers and want to go meet bears is clearly safe. Not!" He continued to pace, wondering what he should do. You should go after her. No! I'm gonig to go back to mom and dad."[/b] He shook his head and plunked his rear end on the ground. This was all to much for one day. He closed his eyes and tried to relax.

Dandi gave a startled gasp and sucked in her cheeks, turning around to face her brother. "You what?" she shrieked. "I deserve an apology, Reed! Regardless of whether or not I'm ready to accept it. You owe me one!" She narrowed her eyes. Now she was extremely mad. Who did Reed think he was that he could just take back an apology - an apology to her might she add. She let out a frustrated shriek and turned her back on her brother. He thought he was sooooo great. Well he wasn't! She was much cooler than stupid him. Had Mama listed his endearing qualities off every day? There was your answer. Dandi was her favorite. She was everyone's favorite.

That made her feel a bit better. Reed was just jealous, that was all. "What does he mean 'Not' " she grumbled to herself. "Bears and rivers are superdy duperdy cool. He wouldn't know cool if it hit him on the bum!" She giggled to herself. But just because she was realizing more and more how much of a fool Reed was that didn't mean he was off the hook. Oh no. She lifted her chin up proudly. Disdainfully, one might even say. She turned around sharply, rolling her eyes at the sight of Reed sitting on the ground. "Reeee-eeed," she beckoned. "I've changed my mind." She grinned and took a few steps forward.

"I've decided to accept your apology." She smiled as sweetly as a little angel. "You were just being protective. It's not your fault you don't know how to have fun and aren't blessed with as many good qualities as I am." She straightened up a bit more, still smiling as innocently as was possible. She was, of course, ignoring the fact that he had taken it back. After all, that was such a trivial detail. And Dandi was good at blocking those kind of things out.

Reed fumed. "You can't accept a apology that never happened! In fact I think I'm the one who deserves a apology you brat!" He huffed, he was ready to unload everything he thought of his sister. Well at that moment. "You know what Dandi, you think your so great. I have a news flash for you, your not! Everyone is always complimenting you because they feel sorry for you. They feel sorry that you act like a spoiled brat and think your the best thing to happen to the world. Well you aren't! In fact your one of the worst things! I wish I never came to find you."
He sighed loudly, turning to leave. He looked over his shoulder and called out to his sister. "You go ahead and get yourself killed trying to be cool. I have news for you, your not!" He laughed loudly, still very upset with her. "She is so annoying!" He huffed to himself, looking around. He didn't know what to do, where to go, he just knew he had to get away from Dandi. He didn't feel sorry for what he said, in fact he hoped it hurt her. She defiantly needed a reality check. Then it hit him. he couldn't let her win, or she go through life like this, and surely everyone would dislike her. So he turned back to her and raised his brow.
He flashed her a annoyed look. "Dandi, I can't believe how annoying and immature you can be! It's surprising, I thought you were old enough to know mom didn't mean half the stuff she said to you. The fact that she told Lilac, Smoke, and I the same thing makes you wonder huh? See your not nearly as great as you think you are. Or as great as you so wrongfully believed mom thought you were. Everyone, and I mean everyone dislikes. Some even hate you." He shook his head in disgust. "Your ego is the size of the world Dandi. You need a serious reality check" He gave her a look of pure disgust and pity. "i feel rather sorry for you actually. It must suck being one of the most annoying people in the world. I wouldn't know like you." He laughed harshly, his temper stilled flared. He let out any angry frustrated sigh. "If you don't grow up soon Dandi, I want no part of you."

After a few minutes of breathing, Reed sighed. "I'm going to go Dandi. I'll see you... when I do." He turned and trotted off. He didn't no where he was gonig, he just knew he had to get away.

OOC: Reed's off to the farm.

Sometimes there's more innocence

Dandi blinked and let out a disbelievingly laugh as Reed turned around and started to yell that she couldn't accept an apology that never happened. "It did so happen at one point," she retorted angrily. "Gawd, I know you "took it back" but that doesn't mean it never happened and besides, apologies are like diseased - you can't take them back." She sat up a bit straighter, proud of herself for so quickly making a brilliant comparison that would hopefully get through even to slow-witted Reed. But as her brother continued yelling - this time ratting on HER herself - Dandi's mouth dropped.

She quickly closed it, her bottom lip trembling as she fought the urge to cry. What was he talking about? She was great. Spoiled brat? Wha-at? "In fact your one of the worst things! I wish I never came to find you." She let out a strangled sob - unable to keep it back any longer. "You think you're so high and mighty, Reed!" she shouted after him. "But fine! I wish I never saw you either! And I'm glad you left home so that when I get back I won't have to see you ever again!" Her voice rose into a shrill shriek and then she turned around resolutely. But when he continued yelling, saying that no one liked her and her mama had been lying she burst into full-out tears and turned back to glare at him.

"Nobody likes m-mee?" she managed to stammer in disbelief. "Well they sure as hell don't like you Reed. With reason! You're just so... mean!" Dandi's hadn't sworn before but she was so mad now that she didn't care - she hadnt even thought about it, it had just come out. She narrowed her eys, trying to stop more tears from coming. If Reed had a problem with her he should have just adressed the poroblem instead of ripping on her and saying he wished he'd never found her. SHe sniffed loudly and turned away. For good. Maybe this was stupid - they were both young and foolish. It should have been just another silly squabble. But Reed had taken it too far. "Maybe you won't" she replied primly. She was afraid that if she said anything else she would start to cry all over again. Besides, did Reed honestly think that by calming down and saying he might see her again she'd feel better. Now she really deserved an apology. And though she wasn't the smartest cat in the world, Dandi had a little something called pride.

Which was exactly what caused her to march off without looking back.

Then we expected to find

OOC: Reed's a bum. What's our plan for these two?

Reed simply shrugged as his sister walked off. Good luck finding mom and dad! Hope there aren't any BEARS along the way!" He laughed harshly. He was angry then he had been before. He knew in his mind that her repleis were just Dandi originals, which meant they were definatly not true. "You are such a jerk Dandi!" He yelled to her, and suddenly felt rather alone. He let out a soft whimper. The sister he had been searching for, for the past weeks had just walked right out of his life. He sighed and headed for the barn. Hopefully, the one place Dandi wouldn't go. Not 'cool' enough for her.

Dandi heard her brother shouting after her but said nothing else. He could tease and taunt her as much as he wanted to but she was quite content to ignore him until she got the apology that she deserved. Perhaps, she had been a bit rude. But Reed had blown things way out of scale and transformed a small argument into a huge lecture on everything that was wrong with her. Dandi felt tears threatening to spill but she thrust her chin higher, biting her lip. She wouldn't cry.

In her mind, it was simple. Reed had blown things out of proportion and crossed the line. He was her brother, for godsakes. Did he really feel that strongly about her? He sounded like he hated her? She sniffed. Well she wasn't about to hang around with cats who were mean to her. And unfortunately, Reed now fit right in that category.

OOC: Lol, its okay. Dandi kinda deserves it. Hmm thats a good question. I was thinking Dandi+Plum would make an interesting thread but I don't know about Reed. Haha if he met up with Indigo and we did do Rose+Rowan we'd have all our charries matched up. [giggles]
