Violet skipped along to the chicken coop. "I wonder if there are any chickens in the coop" said Violet slyly. As they got closer they could hear movement inside. Violet licked her lips. "Do you have any idea how we should get in to the coop?" Asked Violet. She stared at the building for a while. There was a window higher up, but they would never be able to reach it. And then Violet had an idea.
"We can get the chickens all riled up by banging the walls so that the farmer would come, and he would have to open the door. Then, on his way out we stick a stick to jam the door, so that the door wouldn't close, and ....tah da!" Violet finished, "It's a bit risky, but it sounds like fun to me" Violet hoped that Rose would want to come, but she wasn't sure.

Rose looked around the yard.
She could see the farmers house.
It was early morning, still only dimly lighten and there were no lights on in the house. The farmer was still asleep, but then again Rose had never heard the rooster.
She nodded.
"He's not up yet, so we can just run and hide behind the barn.
With that Rose scratched and clawed at the side of the coop causing quiet the racket. Once she thought the chickens were stirred up enough she dashed behind the protection of the door, and found a crck in the barn wall and slipped in.
Look at the farmers house she could see the lights turn on.
He would probably look out the window,
"Violet hurry!"

Violet ran towards Rose and hid with her. The door of the house swung open and out came a large man, sporting a gun. Violet gulped in terror. She could hear his rough voice. "What the heck is happenin' out there?" He spat on the ground and started jogging towards the coop. Violet readied her legs to jump and intercept the door. The farmers voice was soft as he calmed the chickens down. "It would be better to put the stick there now, he wouldn't catch us." But Violet didn't wait for an answer. She tiptoed along the wall and carefully placed the stick without making a sound. She could hear the farmers foot steps coming towards the door. She shot back into her hiding place and waited for the farmer to be out of sight. "Come on, " she urged Rose. Violet stalked into the coop silently and grabbed a chicken by the neck. She waited until rose had one too. "Whets go" she said through a mouthful feathers. Violet ran out of the coop and back to the barn. When she got there, she carried the chicken up to the loft and started chowing down.

Rose followed close behind, and as she tarted into the barn she could see the farmer slam the door and the kitchen light flick on.
He would be out soon, and would see the two chickens were missing.
Rose at her catch quickly, the hunger inside of her disappearing.
She looked to Violet who was just finishing her meal.
"We should leave soon Violet. The farmer may come out and catch us."
She looked around and wondered where they could go.
"Want to go to the woods?"
Rose hoped she would.
she had a sickening feeling that something bad was going to happen if they stayed.
Rose licked her lips waiting for Violets reply.

"Fine by me", Violet announced after she finished her chicken. Violet looked towards the farmers house to see if he was coming out. Just then, one of the chickens woke up and started screeching and squeling, and making loud noises. "Run," screamed Violet," The farmers coming!" Violet shot out of the barn like an arrow and headed straight for the forest. She didn't dare look back at the farmer now. BANG! Violet heard the gunshot and pushed her muscles to run even faster. BANG! She had to reach the forest. Violet checked quickly to see if Rose was still at her side. The gunshots grew quiter as the two ran deeper into the forest.

OOC: Sorry I was gone for so long. Snowboarding comp out of town.
Rose darted to the forest as fast as she could.
The bullets were flying all around her and burning her ears with there loud shrieks.
Once Rose could no longer here the gunshots she slowed down to catch her breath.
She realized suddenly that Violet was not with her.
Her dear friend was not there.
"Violet, are you there?
Violet!"
Rose waited for a reply that seemed to never come.
Oh please don't be dead Violet, please.
Rose ran through the forest trying to pick up her friends scent.
"Violet!"
She thought she caught a whiff of her scent, but then she heard it.
The sound of voices, human, angry voices.
Rose pounced up a tree.
"Violet, hide!"
Rose whispered to Violet where ever she was.
