Huffing and puffing, Brook raced beside the river. It was frozen, and seemed to sparkle in the dull light of sunset. She loved the feeling of running, wind in her fur, paws flying.... She could forget everything around her and focus on her, her and her trail, her pathway to a few moments of luxurious self-time. Inside the human's house it was hard to run; you were a captive.
As she raced to a halt, and landed in a pile at her side near the river, she laughed a cat's mrrow of laughter. Taking a moment to breath, she closed her eyes and let her breathing calm.
She heightened her senses, relaxing every muscle, and the forest around her opened with sounds and vibrations. She could smell the sweet smell of sparrows and their eggs, the sharp smell of sorrel, the sharp and tangy smell of mint and thyme. It came out to her, and she could smell the aril, the fleshy covering of a seed, of some of the forest plants, ready to spring them out after Winter in the Spring.
She could imagine rolling, tumbling, playing in the high grasses with the sweet smell of catnip in the air, and then suddenly she was rolling, tumbling, playing, and sniffing...
Brook rolled in the tall grasses, and she clawed an invisible enemy. She felt invinclible. She tumbled as she stood, making her roll on her head back to her feet. She knew it wasn't something she could ever repliate in the real life without feeling hurt. She laughed as if it was a game and she was playing, because it felt like that. Everything as green and shiny, smells and hues mixing like rainbows. The sharpest smell was of sorrel and catnip. They mixed together like in a ballet of fragrances, dancing and leaping around her nose. The croons and throaty, soft whistles of birds of the nightingale flooded her ears, sofly, softly, ever so softly... She felt as this certian area was ment for her; her own land to live and prowl in, with kittens and herself purring, with a mate....
((Lol, she's asleep. Open to anyone, mainly Moon...)) (((Oh, lol, this is the forum's #100th post ^^)))
