"Meeeooooooow!"
A forlorn cat huddled miserably on the side of the road, watching the bright car drive away. She had known it was coming, the way Marianna had behaved when they got her, but she still couldn't accept it had happened. Her humans were gone. Gone. Jeff was gone. The fluffy orange cat gave a low whimper as she shivered in the cold weather. Hissing at the falling snowflakes, she scrambled down into a ditch and sought refuge in the metal cave the transported the water through the ground.
She continue to mew quietly as she curled up in the little cave, watching the snow fall in lazy spirals outside. Her golden orbs were sad and watery and she felt as though she might burst into tears any moment. It was when she realized that, she realized how stupid she was being. Yes, Jeff was gone. She would miss him. But she was free! Not abandoned- free! And now she could do whatever she wanted. There were probably many other cats out here too, she couldn't be the only one.
Indigo straightened up a bit. She could do this. She liked challenges- here was the biggest and most important one she'd ever face: survival. And she would do it. She would succeed, because she always did, and then she'd have no doubts about her abilities. Feeling a bit better with this new perspective, Indigo got up and trotted over to the 'cave' entrance. Some snow had melted on the ground due to the warmth underground and Indigo quickly lapped up the water, knowing she might not always be able to find some. As winter got colder she might even have to suck on ice.
Frowning at that idea, she hopped gingerly out of the 'cave'. At least my fur is long enough to keep me warmer than I'd normally be about now, she mused. That was the key: think positive. SHe could be all negative later, but right now, she needed to focus- keep things in perspective. She shook out her soft orange fur and took a hesitant leap, landing a foot ahead in the snow. She shivered as a wind rustled by her. Then she tried another hop. Slowly, this method of getting around became easier and more natural and Indigo found she wasn't sinking as much either. She grinned. Maybe she really could do this.

Poor Moon didn't know what was happening, All she could see was the black of the bag she was stuffed inside. She clawed at the bag but her small claws where no match to the burlap bag. Her mother had let out a wail of terror when the mistress threw Moon into the bag. Moon had no clue.
By the time she was let free of the bag, she was thrown out the rolled-down window, bag and all. Ms.Lin paused than nodded at the driver to return back to the mansion. Poor Moon started to wail in terror, She was a kit! She wasn't ready to face the world..alone!
She pressed her nose in her paws and let herself cry. Why couldn't she have been born perfect like her sister? Or strong like her brother? She was born a reject, and as Ms.Lin said, she would always be. Master always said she wasn't worthy to be alive, that the pair should have produced only two kits, and she was an extra, unwanted and unuseable.
Poor Moon trembled in fear against the spot she was thrown, she had got out of the burlap bag but was laying ontop of it, it's hard texture scratched at her trembling skin. She was still huddled at the spot where she ahd been thrown, the side of the road. She coughed as she wailed. Her tiny voice kept on crying "Momma! Daddy! Momma! Daddy" She hiccuped in fear.

A young she-cat layed sprawled on the ground beside the dirt road. Her head layed on her outstreched paw, and her body was skinny and lean. She had ran all night to escape her humans. In her dream, there was a wailing kit and a very loud yowl.
She opened her eyes after the kit kept wailing. Amber eyes caught sight of a burlap sack, and then Brook Redwing realized that it was a real kit, her body telling her in her subconsious.
Slowly but surely, Brook rose into a sitting position, and then got on her four shaky paws. Walking slowly, she walked across the silent road to the wailing kit who was hiccuping in fear.
Silently, she walked up behind the burlap sack and saw the kit. She walked over on shaky legs and licked the top of the kit's head. Brook rasped out a motherly voice saying, "Shush now, kitten..."

Indigo was busy bounding through the snow when her ears caught a new sound. A thin, wailing sound...She turned around, squinting against the glare of the sun. It took a second for her to realize that the sound was coming from a burlap bad lay on the side of the road and...was that a kit? Indigo's eyes widened in shock and she began to leap through the snow, following her footprints back to the road. As she was nearing the kitten she saw another cat walk up behing the kitten, trying to soothe it. Indigo couldn't help it but her eyes instinctively widened in surprise once more. So there were a ton of cats on the streets! Indigo giggled at her use of the word 'streets'. She was sounding like a stray already.
She paused as she neared the pair. "Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked softly. The poor thing...she was so young! Indigo couldn't imagine being thrown out at such a young age. What cruel humans this one must have belonged to. Her inner voice told her not to judge them but she couldn't help it. Who would toss out such a tiny thing- and during the winter too! Maybe they had to...just like they had to get rid of you... Indigo bit her lip. This kitten would have been better off at a rescue shelter. She didn't like the places but kittens were always adopted fast. Most kittens at least, she thought with a wry grin, remembering her own experiences there.
OOC: Moon, I just realized this but since your cat is a kitten you should use a kitten avatar (they have a 0 in front of the number). You can still claim that one for when she's older though. If there are none that you like you can find a picture and I'll put in in this list as an avatar for you and give you the number or just request one form me and I'll find the pic and do it.

Moon's eyes widened like saucers when she saw the two cats. One was acting like her mother and one looked kind also. Suddenly she jumped up and backed away. Tears came from her tiny eyes again. Wailing escaped from her mouth "Don't hurt me! I just want my Mommy and Daddy!" She wailed, repeting it every few seconds.
Her tail stuck between her legs and she let out a tiny kitten hiss. She took another step back and landed on her foot funny, which her face changed to a surprised expression than resulted her in falling down onto her belly wailing.
"My paw! Stay away!" She kept repeting withen her hiccups and wails of fear. She shivered and crawled her way to the corner of the sack. Her head into her paws, "I want Mommy! Daddy!" She wailed

Brook's ears went up as she recoiled. "Your mommy and daddy are gone!" She hissed. Didn't this kitten know? "If you never come back from a Machine ride, that means your parents are gone!" She knew the truth, and had to tell this kitten, even if it was hard. "I know it's hard to understand, but your an orphan now."
Brook swallowed. "I'm Brook Redwing. I don't want to hurt you!" She called.
The kit tripped over her paw and landed on her belly. Brook's muzzle would of tried to help her up, but the kit dashed farther into the burlap sack. "Please. Let me help you." She said softly.
She turned to the new cat. "Hello..." She said kindly, equally.

"Don't hurt me! I just want my Mommy and Daddy!"
They cry came from the kitten and Indigo felt a sharp tug from the despair in the kit's words. She bit her lip, unsure how to adress the problem but the tabby quickly took care of that. Indigo's gold eyes widened in shock and she stpped forward, placing herself between 'Brook Redwing' and the kitten. "What is you problem?" she hissed at Brook. Without waiting for an answer, Indigo spun around neatly to face the kitten. There wasn't much more to say but she could at least try and patch things up, right?
She sighed and lifted the top of the sack with her pink nose so she could peer inside. "It's okay. Well, it's true. You're mommy and daddy...you probably won't see them again. But I'll stick with you if you want." Indigo nearly froze as she heard herself uttering the words. What had she done? She wasn't like this- all gushy and friendly. And she most definately didn't want a little kitten following her around. But the damage was done. She couldn't very well tell the kiten she'd changed her mind. Or could she...No.
She sighed again and turned to face Brook, slightly abashed for the 'warm welcome' she had given the she-cat earlier. "Sorry about that. I just felt bad for her. I'm not like that normally, honestly. To be honest there's no way in hell I would have normally offered to stick around with the little thing," she whispered. She gave a snort. "But what can I do now? Ah well, she's cute, I'll hand her that." She wrinkled her nose as another machine passed by on the other side of the road, leaving an acrid smell behind it. She needed catnip right now.

"I'd take her, if you don't want to take care of her." Brook whispered back. Her tail flicked anxiously. "But right now, we need to coax that kitten out of the bag so she doesn't get anymore hurt."
Brook dipped her head back into the bag. "Please come out. I'm sorry if I scared you." She sighed. "I'll get you some fish. Have you ever had fish before? It's delicious." She tried to make the kitten happier. In truth, Brook had never killed any fish before except for a goldfish.
She waited patiently, and ducked her head out to turn back to the new cat. "Who are you?" She asked kindly. She didn't want to be making enimies.
((Sorry, I'm pretty museless right now. xD))

Moon wimpered "No! Mommy and Daddy will come for me!" She wailed softly. Her spot in the bag was cold and she didn't like it, so she moved closr towards the back. "Mommy wouldn't let them leave me!" She wailed. Digging her head in her paws.
Moon whimpered, She wanted her Mommy's warm smell of catnip and her daddy's love to lick Moon's ears. She wailed a bit louder. "Whatza fish?" She perked her ears and moved a bit closer to the opening in the bag.
Another car whooshed past. Tossing Moon and the sac a bit farther from the road. Moon wimpered "Mommy! Daddy!" She wailed again. Shivering of cold and fear. "Whay couldnt my sister or bwother be left hewe, and not me!" Moon wailed

Indigo felt pity for the little kit, so certain her parents would be here soon. But on the other hadn, it was a bit annoying, Trying to mask her frustration, Indigo called out gently. "Fish is really really yummy, even better when you're out in the wild. So there are perks!" She grinned, winking at Brook before turning her attention back to the poor thing as it whimpered again, asking why it's brother or sister couldn't be facing this instead. Indigo felt sorry for her.
"Would you really want them to have to face this? I know it sucks but...you can do it. I bet you're a strong one, you seem like one to me, at least." She trailed off, lost and unsure what to say next. She was trying to be comforting and uplifting but it obviously wasn't her best department. "Are you sure you don't want to come with Brook and me to get some fish..." She let the sentence trail off again as she realized she didn't know the kit's name. "What's your name honey?" She thought Brook might have just asked but the kit either hadn't answered or she had already forgotten the answer.

Moon slowly crawled towards the entrance of the burlap bag. She stuck her head slightly out and spoke in a soft, squeeky tone. "My names Moon,But I think my old owners cawlled me something like Weject or something, But momma called me Moon" She stuck her tiny head fully out. Her ears perked.
"I Guess I am hungry.." She placed one paw out of the burlap sack. Her paw was covered in the moon-shaped blot of ink. She remembered when the female owner threw the bottle of ink at her. Moon had loved the womens face when it only splashed on her paw, and most on the white cashmere carpet she loved. That was priceless.
Soon she stuck her other front paw out. She was aiming to fully walk out when a car zoomed pass, tossing a can on the road. She whimpered and ran back into the sack

"Moon, Moony dear, please don't be scared of the cars..." Brook said sotfly ducking her head into the bag. "We can get alot of fish, and there are no cars there, but unless you want to get really hungry and scared, you should come with us to get some fish." She ducked her head out again, and sat on her hind paws.
She flicked her tail in a 'come here, please' motion. "Honey, you'll be safe with me and her. And come on... Don't you want to explore the area?" She murrowed out. She knew kittens were adventeruous; she'd been one of the kittens who always would stick their muzzle bravely into anything, if it was oil, fish, water, or the fridge!

Indigo wathced as Brook attempted to coax the kitten to come, flicking her tail impatiently. This was really getting ridiculous. And taking way to long. She would have left but she felt a stirof sympathy- a strange enough occurnace for her- when the kitten said the others called it Weject. She could only assume it meant Reject. But I can understand why if it always acted like this, she thought with a snort. Yes, it was a mean though, but for some reason thoughts like that often floated into Indigo's head- usually when she was in a bad situation and needed to make fun of someone else to take her mind of it.
She gave an exagerrated yawn and stood up, padding over. "Alright, well this is getting fairly boring, surprisingly enough so I'm gonna go explore. If you want to come with me, whatever." She padded off, leaping nimbly through the snow before turning around to call back to Brook and Moon. "But I can't guarantee there'll be fish where I end up," she teased before wheeling around in a light jump and bounding down from the snowbank onto the cold asphalt of the road. This would be much faster. Indigo began to run.

Stellar looked around him. The kit, thebrown and orange she-cat all looked like his sisters. But the orange she-cat was more familiar looking than any other cat he had ever seen. She seemed to have the same attitiude as one of his sisters, the same eyes as his sister, Lila Snowpaw. He smiled as he listened to her tell the young she-cat about fish. The kit had finally agreed she was hungry when the orange she-cat wanted to leave. No one followed... He would follow. Stellar slipped through the woods after the she-cat he had chosen to follow. He turned as she bounded away. 'But I can't guarantee there'll be fish where I end up,'. I don't need fish, just a friend, Stellar thought to himself, Just a friend...

((Lu, can ou do Brook another sig if you changed the height? Thanks))
As soon as she knew it, Brook spaced out. She noticed a new cat and he slipped away fast, and the orange she-cat beside her seemed to disappear as well. Her tail flicked as she shook herself away. Her stomach growled, and she couldn't wait for this unresponisve kitten.
Brook said, "Moon, follow me to a riverside. You can smell me, I'm sure." She ran into the woods, hoping the kitten would follow as if in a game.
((Srry if it's short!))
