Whenever a COTM or MOTM is chosen for the month they go up in the side-bar. But when we choose new awards, we'll move their description here so everyone can check back and see who used to be COTM/MOTM and was considered deserving of this award.

April / May '08

MOTM SEQUNA Rose ll Reed ll Plum Personally, I found this to be a very simple choice. Sequna is by far our most active member and is constantly on the site, posting with all three of her wonderful characters. She's been in many threads and her role-playing is constantly improving - she's even decided to limit the amount of threads on her newest character in order to focus on improving the level of posting from that character. After Sequna starting out role-playing Rose Thornbush, a unique young she-cat. When she thought she was ready more she decided to role-play (with my permission) Reed Sunseed, the brother of my own character Dandelion Sunseed. From a brief mention in Dandi's history, Sequna created a whole character that is lovable and very three-dimensional. Recently she became the first person after myself to have a third character. All I can say is congratulations! COTM Violet Wildflower Violet was chosen for this award because she is interesting, energetic and impossibly lovable. Her posts are nicely written with steady improvement and she participates in more than one thread at a time. She's come up with some great plots ideas with myself for how to make this little feline's life even more interesting and I know I can't wait to put them into action. This she-cat is peppy and full of life with a huge heart and great intentions. She's already gotten up to mischief and found her big sister she always dreamed of meeting and I can only wonder what lies down the road for the energetic, optimistic ball of fur. All around, Violet is a wonderful character and we are so pleased to have her roaming the streets of Nenbrook.

HTAA Awards (July '08)

The HTAA Awards are the Halfway There Anniversary Awards, given out when Carpe Diem celebrated its six month anniversary (July 1st, 2008). There were multiple member and character categories and the results were all determined by vote.

MOTM ROBIN Osprey ll Robin This month there were many contestants for the choice of MOTM, especially with Carpe Diem recently starting to grow and accumulate many new amazing members joining up, which I'm extremely grateful. Robin wins for this month because she plays two very unique characters and brings a lot of positive energry to the site. Both her characters (though one is very new) had excellently written biographies and are role-played very well in threads. They both have thoughts thread which are kept up-to-date as they go about and interact with others. Robin is very active on the site, in the c-box, and in the out-of-character board, giving input on suggestions and ideas for the site. Congratulations on being an amazing member, Robin xDD COTM Ash Firestar For me, this was a fairly obvious choice. Not because there are no other cool characters out there - trust me, there are - but just because Ash is so well role-played, active and always involved in some sort of plot. Seadra does a beautiful job with him and he is just such a sweet-hearted and genuinely good character. This can sometimes be hard to role-play realistically but Seadra does a good job, making sure he doesn't go overboard and still is capable of having not-so-nice feelings while still being a great guy so everyone's rooting for him nonetheless. Ash Firestar is a well-rounded and very three dimensional character and that takes some good role-playing so kudos to you, Seadra!

July '08

MOTM YOYO Juniper ll Wolf Yoyo is our member of the month this month and with good reason! She's been amazing at being really active around the site, with two great characters that are not only very different from each other but also just unique and great fun to be around - well to role-play at least, not sure how much fun it would be to actually be around Wolf lol Her posts as always of good length and always amaze me with the attention to detail, thought process and effort that's obviously behind them. She incorporates lyrics into her posts for that extra touch and formats them nicely so they're visually appealing as well. But besides being amazing when it comes to role-playing, Yoyo is a friendly, active member that is a welcome addition to our site. She's active OOC and always giving input on whatever I throw her way. Also, I think its safe to say that she's referred more members to this site than anyone else! So congratulations on your MOTM, Yoyo. You really really deserve it. Love ya! <3 COTM Moon Coldbite This month, due to lack of votes, I actually was faced with the hard choice of hand-picking the COTM myself, a difficult and frightening task seeing as there as so many amazing characters on this site. But for me, this month, Moon really managed to stand out. Apo does a lovely job with her first character and I for one love little Moon. She has a great likeable personality that draws you into her posts and makes you want to read them, sometimes even laughing along with her. Her posts are always well-detailed and in good length, formatted nicely with lyrics to give it a bit of flair. What's more, Moon has a lovely Thoughts thread which I'd urge you all to check out. Images having to do with what happened are always provided and as a personal touch which I love love love, Apo even puts a bunch of emoticons at the beginning of every post to symbolize Moon's mood. It's creative and amazing and extremely cute. Moon is a great character, active in multiple threads, realistic, and tons of fun to rp with. Congratulations on the COTM, sweetie. xD

MOTM NEKO Twilight ll Raven This month, I`m pleased to announce that the award of Member of the Month goes to none other than Neko! He`s been amazing around the site with two great, active characters. Twilight and Raven are both in multiple threads and I`d also like to add that I think Raven is the most unique character (or one of) that I've ever come across. Her biography was amazingly well done and intriguing and her personality was also very well done and extremely unique. Neko even went so far as to post a link to a page detailing the condition that Raven suffers from and it is extremely interesting and not something I've come across much before. Neko is also an extremely active member out-of-character, in the c-box, in plotting, in helping out the site and is a great presence here on Carpe Diem. His writing is always fun to read and quite admirable as well. Congratulations Neko! COTM Haven Frozenpool First off, I`m completely loving Carpe Diem's first albino lol but there are so many more reaons as to why Haven is worthy of the title Character of the Month. His bio was well-written by the lovely Kel and all his posts are interesting, fun to read and show off his remarkable and compelling personality. It really comes out in his posts and makes Haven such a lovable character. He's extremely active in multiple threads and also quite involved in a bunch of amazing plots that are going to just be so much fun. Haven's charming, three-dimensional, loveable and extremely unique - everything that we look for in the Character of the Month. But the main thing is that the cat should somehow stand out from all the others and for me, Haven certainly does - and not just cause of his awesome red eyes

September '08

MOTM APO Moon ll Coon ll Summer Apo is an outgoing and friendly person and I doubt that there's a single person on the site who she doesn't get along with splendidly! Her enthusiasm is impossible to resist and she is simply a delight to the community of Carpe Diem. Always optimistic, cheerful and interesting, Apo certainly stands out to me as an asset to the site. All of her character's post are in-depth and well-written. But even if they weren't, I'd bet we'd all still read them anyways cause her characters are so interesting! Moon bubbles with an outgoing and crazy personality, Coon is sweet and likable and Summer is a crazy bipolar little kitty. What's not to love? Besides having amazing characters and lovely posts, Apo rose above expectations by being extremely active out-of-character with tons of little extra tidbits about her characters which I loved. She was a great spirit in site contests and games and has been a great influence with the plot. Cheers for Apo! COTM Sable Frozenleaf Congratulations to Uchi for one wonderful character! Throughout the month of September, a particularly hard spot activity-wise, Sable was proved over and over again to be an extremely interesting character. Active in multiple threads, his unique personality always shone through the well written and neatly displayed posts that I found, personally, to be a pleasure to read. His interactions with others were always nothing short of amusing and his quick wit and temperament easily makes him a cat whose escapades we all love to follow. Sable Frozenleaf is definitely a face to stand out in the crowd and this September, that's exactly what he did. TOTM LIKE PAIN? TRY GIVING BIRTH, Featuring Indigo, Cheif, Caesar, Wolf, and Twilight This emotional and intriguing thread features the old talents of Vion and Speedy along with one of newer members, Sorcha - all of whom write with talent and whose posts are grippingly interesting to read. Each of the characters contribute greatly to the thread and theme and this is definitely a highlight to bookmark and read as soon as you have the time!

MOTM SPEEDY Amber ll Jarrah ll Taro ll Wisteria Speeeeeeeedy! xD October's member of the month has proved herself constantly and is an exceptional writer with amazing creativity. Her four - that's right four - are all interesting and I especially can't wait to see how Wisteria, the newest of the bunch, mingles in with the cats of Nenbrook. As a role-player, Speedy's posts are alwaysalwaysalways well-written and fun to read and she knows her characters so well that she is able to write about them and their emotions and make them seem quite real. Out of character, Speedy has an infectiously optimistic personality that makes her a treasure to the site. She is full of creative, interesting ideas to help make Carpe Diem a better place and is always ready to throw her input in on others' suggestions. It should come as no surprise to anyone that Speedy is October's Member of the Month! COTM Stellar Snowpaw Recently returned from a short hiatus, Stellar has been thrown into threads with exuberant energy and well-written emotional posts that enable any reader to connect with him. The age old conflict of unrequited love is a common topic in his posts but is always present masterfully with brilliant metaphors and interesting thoughts that leave us all a little bit torn for who to vote for if there was ever any question before. Stellar Snowpaw himself is a wonderful character, excellently role-played by Vion. He is unique but realistic, down-to-earth, thoughtful, creative and impossible not to like. This is quite long overdue but I'm so glad to announce that Stellar Snowpaw is October's Character of the Month TOTM ALL ALONE WITH MEMORIES, Featuring Stellar, Taro, and Harbor This emotional and intriguing thread features the old talents of Vion and Speedy along with one of newer members, Sorcha - all of whom write with talent and whose posts are grippingly interesting to read. Each of the characters contribute greatly to the thread and theme and this is definitely a highlight to bookmark and read as soon as you have the time! * Due to a lapse of activity, the September and October OTMs were posted up at the same time in the end of October.

MOTM MOONZ Tempest For April's Member of the Month, I am proud to present to you: Moonz! She's been awesome around the site and did a great job getting back into the swing of activity and encouraging others to do the same. Her character, Tempest, is cute and well-played and Moonz posts actively with her. And then there's the fact that Moonz is just always here. Seriously, if you're ever looking for her just head to the cbox and I can almost guarantee you she'll be chatting away with someone on another. She's got a great, friendly personality and not only that - she helped us fix up some coding problems and has earned the prestigious title of 'Coding Technician.' Ergo, I think that for all the reasons above, Moonz definitely deserves this award. COTM Kestrel Wintertrap I can use one word to describe Kestrel: cold. (this is a complement) Kestrel is probably the most manipulative bitch the world of kittens has ever seen. The offspring of Stellar Snowpaw and Indigo Wintertrap, Kestrel has had her share of bad times. Kestrel is uber-cool and very fun to role play with. I wouldn't want to get in her way if I were you. Everybody loves her personality, and she's very unique. Kudos to Lu! :3 - Written by Sea (I obviously wasn't going to type this one up myself lol) TOTM OUI OUI, MON CHERIE, Featuring Moon, and Fawn Apo and Stella are both great role-players and this thread hilights each of their talents. Moon is crazy as usual - only this time she's spouting off her gibberish is another language - and Fawn is eager and up for the crazy (and criminal!) antics they get up to. Comical and sweet at the same time, this thread is a great read if you're looking for something to make you crack a smile.

MOTM SEADRA Ash Firestar ll Melody Redgaze COTM Jarrah Eclipsemoon This month's COTM goes to Speedy's Jarrah, he is very well developed and I enjoy reading his posts. They're all very unique with song lyrics throughout. He's very sweet and caring, his speaking voice is very proper, and that's what makes him so romantic, if I were you, I'd want a post with Jarrah Eclipsemoon straight away. =] Good work, Speeds. TOTM {{ DO YOU LOVE ME TONIGHT? Featuring Jarrah Eclipsemoon and Lavender Mistpaw This thread is the mating thread between Jarrah and Lavender, it's a very sweet and romantic thread. I was utterly moved by it and just loved this love thread. xD It's a great read. I just loved reading Jarrah's very proper voice, I could almost hear him speaking to me, as well as Lavender, kudos guys! IF THERE'S ONE THING I HANG ONTO Featuring Slate Snowbreeze and Tempest Moonshimmer Well, we had a tie for the TOTM this month, so both are being featured here. This is a very interesting thread to read, Slate gives me the image of a "deer in the headlights" at one point and Tempest has a very cool personality. This thread is very well written. Good job guys!
