EDIT AIMED AT MOONZ; because I'm cool like that. Anyway; let's say that Fornell prefers his name, but he did achieve a sort of second name from the neighborhood strays and cats as 'Thorn Dappleshade' in their society, so whilst he may go by Thorn he allows a very close person to use his original name of Fornell. And considering his solitary nature, that might take a while, considering the relationship status between them would have to be something like a female he was pursuing as a potential mate or somesuch, which would not happen until he achieves some zest and enthusiasm and actually finds interest in them and their intelligence and personalities. Also, he doesn't believe in rushing things, so. Would that work/be sufficient?
Name: Fornell/adopted the name 'Thorn Dappleshade' after entering feline society. Gender: Male Date of Birth: March 30th, 2008. Height: 22 cm. Sexual Preference: Straight. Status: Not neutered.
Coat Color: White. Coat Pattern: Gray and silver splotches. Eye Color: Blue. Fur Length: Long. Appearance Extra: No scars or identifying marks except for a collection of black spots under his left eye.
History: "Fornell," His mother's voice filtered through the screen door that led to the backyard, the door left slightly ajar for allowing passage by the family of cats that resided with the humans. "Fornell!" Worry was seeping into the gentle tones, and he took notice. Lying in the tight pose so representative of a sleeping cat, the named basked in the midday sun for a few greedy moments more before unfolding with awkward grace, stretching briefly before jumping off of his favored rock - the tallest one in the yard - and making his way around weeds and brush to the screen door. Slipping inside without much trouble, the spotted cat was intercepted along the way by an enthusiastic five-year old who was surprisingly gentle in her clumsy administrations of affection. After disengaging her with purrs and head-bumps, he pulled himself up the stairs, turning right into the room he knew Mother favored most. Fornell knew this place like he knew his face, and it was his home and sanctuary, only leaving to converse with the neighborhood cats for local gossip and to sun himself on the gravel in the summer when his brothers had claimed his rock for the day.
Mother so enjoyed telling him of the day he was born - "It was dark when you were born," - her cultured, soft tones would roll out, savoring the taste of the beginning of a story on her tongue. "There wasn't any rain, and the night was clear and the moon was a thin sliver, the curve of a claw," Unsheathing a claw to demonstrate her example, angling it just so and watching the white edging gleam in the light, as he looked on. "There were no stars, because all the stars were caught by the humans to light the world below, but the moon was bright. Our humans - Abigail and Ashton - were out for the night," A subtle hitch in her voice that said that there was going to be something that happened, something unexpected and strange. "And then... you were born." She'd grin at him then, and he would give her a look that said that she'd subtly disappointed him.
He had one brother and one sister, which was to be expected of such an average family, and Mother had only had one kitten per litter, although he suspected that she'd had stillborns or miscarriages at one point or another. Fornell was the pensive, broodingly intelligent one of the bunch, far more intelligent than he liked to let on, and his brother, McGee, was the shy one. Conflicted beliefs made him unsure; logical but religiously clinging to the thought that love overcame all, a romantic at heart. His sister was the odd one out, tomboyish with a mean streak, meaner and crueler than she liked to let on, with a kind of pettiness that transcended girlish jealousies. Fornell himself was sheltered and shy, yet cuttingly intelligent and quietly prided himself on his inobtrusiveness.
When he was one, just reached sexual maturity and none the wiser for it, his owners died. Fornell withdrew even deeper into his shell by then, quietly friendly when approached by anyone, cat or human or dog, but also quietly wary around the human and the dog. Instinct demanded it be so, and simply because he'd had two truly good owners did not dictate that all humans were good. They died in a car crash, even if he did not know, and the police had forgotten about the cats that had resided in their house. Fornell escaped through an open window with his siblings, but Mother remained, too old and tired to run, content to be taken to an adoption agency that was against putting down cats and be taken in by another owner. Fornell was observant, and had hardly been pampered during his youth despite a kittypet lineage - wrestling with his sister, vicious and hard, had taught him otherwise, so he learned to take his knowledge of hunting stray mice and put it to hunting birds and other such creatures. Hardly flirtatious, he prefers conversation and psychological studies to other endeavors.
Personality: Quick to learn, keenly intelligent. Pensive, brooding, a curiousity about people's minds was kindled within him, and that spark brought about a tolerance and ability to understand others. Slow to anger if he angered at all, he rose to people's bait very rarely, and if he did, it would be with the full knowledge that he was being baited. Fornell likes to know things, thus he enjoys conversation and gossip, knowing that even with gossip, there is that gold nugget of truth hidden within. Preferring to sun himself on a rock rather than pursue females, but comfortable in either task if asked to, he has no problem doing something that is presented to him in the form of an activity or game unless he has to move with effort from his current activity. Thinks about what he says before he does, and is polite and subtly friendly unless given reason to act otherwise.

I am going to start out with what is wrong with the name
ONE you must have your display name set to the name of your character. TWO your character must have a first and last name. EX. Tempest Moonshimmer THREE your cat's name has to be from nature. Fornell is not from nature.
As noted in the ENCYCLPEDIA which you shouldve read every millimeter of, this is in CM the height from the ground to their shoulders. Which is usually between 20-25 (i think, you should check yourself i cant remember)
In the appearances post, which you were also supposed to read, shows teh option for eye colors. Check it out
That is all i could find. Be sure to fix these, this will never be accepted if you dont

Erm, does it say every cats have abnormal names? because I dunno if it's on the census, but I only recently was accepted as a non-conforming-named cat. ^^; sorry about that. My character's on there, but it wasn't outrightly stated.

Okay guys, let's keep it clean xD
Yes, Tempest was right down there. Sorry McGee, but nobody really gets anywhere unless they at LEAST skim over the encyclopedia board.
If you really want a normal name, the form for that is right here. So is basically the how-to on all these questions here, I'd read this one for sure before you edit your bio again
Names must have a first and last name, once again like Tempest pointed out down there.
Thornell Graycloud? Thornell Silverleaf? That type thing. I'd prefer you keep this one natural even with the name app though.
Also, would you mind changing your personal text to "one year, gray splotch, blue" ? It makes it easier for the person roleplaying with you if there's a tiny summary there of your cats general appearance.
Don't forget to, when you name him, change your display name to that of your cats full one. Oh- and the gender of the account is your cats, not your real one. You can tell us in the c-box, if you feel like dropping by ;D
Welcome to CD, I hope all this isn't too much trouble. One you get past all the dumb rules and stuff it's all smooth sailing, so don't worry
Thanks for joining! Apo.
