Alright this is an idea I saw on another site and loved so I've decided to bring it here. Basically you post quote posts from Carpe Diem that you really really liked and talk about why they are oh-so-amazing. If you really want you can link to entire threads.
Soo...
++ Ash listened intently, he felt for her. "You're right. I don't understand," he said, "but I do understand that you pretty much feel like crap for lying, and that you really wish you didn't." He inched closer to her, in a comforting way. He kept listening to how she was putting herself down. His 'inner-guy' was starting to come out, the part that didn't care, he pushed it back in because he really did. She felt guilty for what she did, that was obvious. The details she she hadn't managed to share beforee finally coming to the surface. He just stared at her, her human died. That was terrible, again, he never had a chance to give humans a good reputation. Most humans disliked animals, but the few, much like his mother's man, loved them and were happy with them.
++ No, normal is bad. He thought to himself, he daren't chuckle, this would be a bad time, Indigo would think he wasn't paying attention or didn't care. "No, you're right, it should not be normal." He said, still listening to what she was saying about transitioning from kittypet to stray. When she was finished talking about that he stated, "Indigo, listen. We are all different, nobody is ever the same. Be proud of your past, be proud of what you did to get here. Because, if you never left your house, I would have never met you." He smiled. "And what a shame that would've been." He said truthfully. Now, as she started to cry, Ash had become next to her, his fuzzy tail wrapped around her in a friendly way.
++ "Please don't loath yourself, don't think you've lead this amazing life that only you has lead it, you're wrong. There are many strays that have started out just as you. Many went through the transition. Those long days my mother spent crying for no reason, she was crying for herself and her owner." He paused and took a studdering breath, "I imagine her and my sister and my father, all living happily ever after, without me..." he muttered to himself, "but I know that deep down mom still remembers me and loves me..." he saw how struggling it was for Indigo to look into his eyes, which softened every step closer to them her pretty gold ones got to his. He smiled once she got to his.
"You're a very brave cat to have done those things in your life, to have survived through the suffering of death, to have had the strength to go on without an owner," he said, very truthful this time, "And, I really am glad to have met you."
OOC: dude! 1966 words!? that's like....almost 2000 words, man! I feel so...overpowered...that was real emotional, Indigo. Almost more emotional than my poor little sweetie Ash could handle. XP
From the amazing Seadra
I just love this post because it shows Ash's true character and how he is such an amazing sweetheart and a genuinely really nice guy who wants to comfort Indigo. The again, I'm a tad biased because this is where the whole Ash-Indigo dilemna/situation starts to develop and, well, I'm a big fan of them (However bitchy Indigo may seem at times lol )

-teehehee- I forgot about this post. =) I know, I was sooo close to making Ash admit he loved her in that thread. But, I decided to take it semi-slow. Obviously. It shows Ash's true self and how sweet he can be...but there's still this post.... I wish you could see
Ash blew out of his thoughts. He was terrible at judging her now, all of her sweet self was taken away by Stellar. Or was it that he had slunk away? Honestly, he had no idea. He definately wasn't about to judge her now. No way. OK, so is this how you want to act, Indigo? Mad at the world? Oh...you haven't seen mad at the world! He thought to himself, a scowl went right to his face after that. He stepped back a few paces, not frightened by her, but to give them some space.
What feelings did he have for her now? None. Zip. Zilch. He now flinched when he looked into her amber eyes, he glared at her instead. Oh I'll give you mad at the world. He thought, another scowl appeared on his grey and black face. "Hi." He said in a musky voice. He listened to her speak, growling softly, Apology? Why the hell would I want an apology? After all I did to her, after i had been her freakin' should, I should apologize to her? Hell no. He glared at her, and it was one of those glares that say, 'don't mess with me or I'll kill you.'
"What am I doing here?" He said, his voice sounded like scratching chalkboards, "Trying to enjoy myself with others' pain. That's what." He certainly did not sound sarcastic, at all. He was serious. "Apology? Dude, I don't need a friggin' apology, especially from you. Oh, an aparently, you don't need me. You have that other tom now, I'm certainly not needed." He growled, this stupid cat thought that he would apologize and just tell her 'I love you'. Ha. That was stupid. To hell with her. He felt a sharp pain go through his chest, like he shouldn't have thought that. To hell with that too. He glared at her.
He hated that stupid cat.
How you look through my eyes.
Ash is sooo mean! I sowwy. It broke my heart to write it, but I got it out. It shows that Ash can be mean and sweet at the same time. =) I luv him sooo much. *squeezes Ash*

Okiee so there are a ton of really awesome threads with awesome posting going around so I have a few pieces of writing I would like to admire though some are just excerpts from posts - the parts I really really liked.
Number one: I really like this because it is, first off, well-written and also shows us a bit about Raven. I also really like that she introduces herself last name and then both names instead of first and then both as I always find myself making my charries do. Anyhow, admiration number one:
She felt so uncomfortable and out of place in the little group. Sure she had been accepted and welcomed kindly to the small chatting group but still it was just so awkward to her. She didn't know them, and they didn't know her. Slowly opening her mouth she spoke again in a broken whisper. "Soulreaver." She looked up at the three in front of her and cleared her throat, glancing away shyly. "Raven Soulreaver." She introduced herself again the same as Osprey did in case the tabby tom did not hear her before, which she highly doubted he did since she spoke so softly. Though, this time she gave her last name instead of just her first. She wondered what kind of conversation they would have, she hoped she wouldn't be questioned on how she got her. 'A friend of mine raped me and dumped me here.' She mentally answered the question and sighed heavily, yeah that was a conversation sparker alright. However she didn't want to say it.
Number Two: Okay, I chose this example because I think it's really neat and I just love love love the way it ends there - very cool =D I think it shows a different side of Wolf - he's not just mean and bitter, he really misses this Daisy who he loves/loved. Anyhow:
What was he thinking? He had no tangible proof that the one he sought after so longingly was anywhere near his current location. In an instant, his out-of-body experience was forgotten as the hopelessness that had been accumulating for weeks came back to further torment him. To take his mind off of things, for hopefully more than a moment, he watched the house cats around the neighborhood. He wondered briefly if one of them could be Daisy, but that idea was ridiculous. If Daisy had been let out of the human house for even a second, she would be half way around the world by now.
Wolf was brought out of his momentary distraction by a black cat obstructing his line of sight with a orange and white cat he had been watching trying and failing to climb a tree to try and get a squirrel up there. There was something familiar about this completely sable cat, something he couldn’t put his finger on. Had he met this female before? And just forgotten about her? Probably. She smelled and looked so familiar… That had to be the case… That he had simply forgotten.
Then, as she spoke his name, he suddenly remembered. He had met her at that forsaken road where he had willed a car to barrel down and crush him beneath its paws and leave him there as road kill. But, that wasn’t to be so, because he had decided to try and make conversation with the tiny group of cats that had formed beside the road. And this female, her name was Raven, he remembered now, had been one of those cats. ”Raven, right?” He asked, though already knowing the answer.
Number Three: I chose this final part of post because I found it interesting when reading and I think that it really showcases Tangerine's personality, I think. I think she's an interesting she-cat and I like the thread with her and Haven because she's having to deal with a nice tom who's surpassing her expectations and rendering her confused. Et voila:
Tangerine's little voices inside her head were warning her not to go through with this. He would only end up hurting her, they said. But for the life of her, she couldnt' understand why she was still moving , actually talking to him and not bolting like lightning with her tail up in the air. A gentle breeze whipped patches of her ginger and ivory fur, causing a tingle to run up her spine. Ignoring this, the voices continued to voice their detests and protests about actually getting to know Haven. No matter what Tangerine did to try and silence them they kept popping up anyway.
Ears were pinned back still, eyes wide and watching him very very closely. She tucked her chin against her chest and gave it a few licks before turning her green/amber orbs onto Haven. He had smooth talked her saying that her eyes were pretty orbs. Tangerine smothered a snort. It was typical Tom talk trying to smooth things over before they try and mount you to get what they want out of you. Well, Tangerine was not falling for it. She waited for Haven to move again, wondering where they were going to go.

Hia everyone! I think I really need to 'admire' some posts.
First off, we have Reflection, which involves both Wolf Sharpstone and Indigo Wintertrap. I can't believe how good you lot are at roleplaying, for starters. I'm not going to quote an individual post, I'm just going to have to link a thread. I just couldn't decide which bit to quote! xD How do you reply so long each time, with so much detail? I don't know, so this is why I'm admiring this magnificent thread.
Secondly, I'd like to mention a post called Current Events between Coon Whitekey and Gingko Tearfall. I have noticed it be updated a lot, and the posts seem very well written, with a lot of meaning and inventive lyrics. I obviously loved reading through this thread!
Thanks for reading, and very well done to the people involved in the above threads! ^-^

Thanks Robin! Gingko is easy to RP with, too. I'd like everyones attention to be draw now to the amazing thread, 'Two down. One to go. Zero Luck.' between Sable and Juniper. When I first began to read the thread, it completely captured my attention. Here's Yoyo's first post: And everything you thought You can forget Cause ya’ll know nothing ‘bout my name. The two cats fled from the market in blind fear. It had not be a very pleasant experience… Oh heck, that was an understatement. Juniper had been scared out of her wits; Hmm… She seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Being scared out of her wits, that is. First at the road when she had almost starved to death, then at the dump when she had fallen into an underground cavern and couldn’t find a way out, then when she had almost drowned in a human pool of water, and then, most recently, when she had been caught by the human worker. Only the bravery and quick thinker of No-Name had saved her.
All of her previous thoughts about this tom were foreign to her, as if they had been flown into eternal oblivion. This cat wasn’t what Juniper thought he was. She had thought that he was a stubborn, obnoxious, rude, and poorly mannered cat, extremely proud, who only cared about himself. She was wrong. He had saved him, even when it had meant putting himself at risk. Would Juniper had done the same for him? Yes, she would’ve, or she would have had to live with a horrible guilt for the rest of her life.
The female feline slowed her pace, and then abruptly stopped to rest. She was panting heavily after running all that way. She had no idea where she was. She could smell a vaguely familiar smell coming towards them, but she just couldn’t put her claw on what it was. It danced around on the edge of her memory, tantalizingly close, yet somehow out of reach. It taunted her as it spun around, like a bird trapped in a cage tried to escape from her outstretched, unsheathed paws. What was the name of this smell?
Speaking of names, what was her savior’s name? She still hadn’t learn it. Still panting, she breathlessly turned to him and said, “Let’s start over.” They hadn’t exactly started on the right foot. Now that she thought about it, it was probably all just a misunderstanding. Perhaps she shouldn’t have yelled at him. Though, he did make fun of her ears… Oh well. It was all in the past now. And he had proven all of her ideas about him wrong. ”I’m Juniper, by the way. Stormfeather,” She said. Smiling kindly. He had just saved her life, after all. And gotten her respect.
And then, she realized what that smell was. It was food. But not just any food. Chicken. And that also meant humans. She shivered a bit from fear at the thought of facing humans for the second time today. But now, she was starting to get hungry too. And she realized how weak and hungry Sable must be. She looked at him with sympathy in her hazel eyes. She had put him through a lot today.
Lyrics: Kiss My Sass by Cobra Starship Of course, I hadn't read the original thread that it continued off of either, so I went back and read that one, too. The two cats make a great pair that were really fun to read about, especially since it's hard to write threads that aren't totally centered around happy, energetic cats who love each other and are best friends from the beginning. So if you're bored and have already read all the threads above, I'd recommend any of these two cat's thread. They're both amazing writers. Everyone on CD is, now that I think about it xD But it really is that, and idea of what you're writing about and twist and turns along the way that makes a thread great. Lyrics really bring in the prospect that is the mood of the thread since sometimes it's hard to understand how you are supposed to feel as the reader rather than the writer, and if you're listening to a song while reading it (or if you've heard the song before, even better) it gives you a better idea of how the thread's flow is moving. I doubt I'm still making sense, but I thought I should put my input in here anyways. The way I think of it- The plot is the cake. But the way you decorate it is how you've come to your conclusion. Apo's really silly for writing all that she gets worked up sometimes. Ignore me Great job, Sable, Juni! KEEP WRITING. lol.

Okay, the title lied. I lied. Shops and stalls framed the market, they seemed to sell everything in this small square! The large shadow of a cat made his way cautiously around all of the shops and stores, examining the items for sale. As he progressed, Osprey grew hungrier and hungrier. Was there nothing he could find here? His amber eyes lit up as he saw a, well, let’s call him a not so skinny man standing guard in front of his shop. All types of delicious looking meat were piled and stacked, into rows and rows of food. Well, this was an opportunity not to be missed. Oh come on! Osprey reminded himself, You’ll never find food if you try it like this! Lithe as a shadow, he slipped behind large pumpkin, and hid carefully, waiting for a moment to come. A terrifying woman with frighteningly coloured hair strode rudely past the butcher. He shouted at her strongly, by the looks of it she had knocked a pork chop from the stall. Realizing his chances, he dashed up towards the towering human, before disappearing behind his shop. The pork chop seemed to gaze longingly up at him, but Osprey Coldenwing felt a strong blow on his hip. He was so mesmerized by the delicacy among cats, he hadn’t heard the butcher coming! With a shriek of alarm, he darted behind the shop which had the pumpkins.
Pain stabbed his hind leg and he let himself roll over some thoughts in his mind. He was struggling for food, yes, but he was sure he could catch something later, once he headed back over to the woods again! He had almost caught that mouse when he was with Lilly… It was so close. But, it was quite a journey when he was so hungry already! Musing over some ideas, he spotted some humans buying a chicken with some strange round coins. Wow! The humans were given the chicken just for some of this shiny stuff! Was the butcher mad? He kept his eyes out for any signs of danger, or company for that matter. Maybe an older cat would be able to help him… Wait, what was he thinking? What cat would help him?
Forgive me if you like. It’s up to you. Ok, I like this post, I don't know exactly why, but theres, good details that help for a mental image. And, there are good things that happen in the post and bad thing. Example, good thing, he sees a meat stall. Bad thing, he gets kicked when trying to get to it. I find this post very good.

!!! Omg, you guys!! Thanks so much!!!! *hugs everyone* <3333 I also have a post I'd like to recognize... After the brown tabby tom escaped his huge jaws, he jumped onto his broad husky shoulders. It seemed like the cat was looking for a spot to attack and Cheif bounded into the air and landed with a thud rattling the tom. Unfortunately, the cat was positioned well and started scratching excessively at the back of his neck. He yowled in pain, and his vision had a faint tint of red. He turned his big head around and tried to snap at the cat, but barley grabbed it's tail. When he felt the feline fur in his mouth he yanked and pulled the cat off. His neck stung and he was thankful his breed had a lot of fur. As the tabby tom hit the ground, another yowling calico flew to the back of Caesar.
Instead of looking angry or filled with rage, he had a snide smirk on his face. He smashed his body into the ground as the cat gripped his back. Cheif stopped staring at the doberman and turned to snarl at the two other cats. "Insanity! How do you plan on surviving!?!" Cheif's snarl cracked and showed he was still a bit confused and frightened. The she-cat knew now that he wasn't going to be much of a problem after he confessed how he felt about the kits. The brown tabby jumped at him again, but he jumped back eveading the attack. He barked repeadedly at the cats but always kept Caesar in his peripheral vision.
The calico seemed to be giving Caesar a bit of a problem, but not enough to sidetrack the dog from his plot. And suddenly before Cheif could react, Caesar threw the calico tom off and swept up two of the kittens. Cheif gasped, and he thought he was getting over his doubt, but his mind only seemed to revolve around those kits. Caesar picked up the small orange male tabby and the brown-white splotched tabby she-cat, the one that Cheif had been fond of. "CAESAR N-" Cheif yelped and was interrupted by Caesar's command to the cats. Who died and made Caesar alpha! Cheif growled but figured Caesar would think he was growling at the startled cats. The calico and the tabby unwillingly walked toward Cheif, eyes locked on Caesar. Their eyes filled with rage, their small muscles trembling like his were. What kind of deal is that?
The mother tabby's eyes were filled with such strife and sadness. Kestrel? Cheif mumbled adoringly as he finally knew his favorite kits name. The mother walked toward Cheif and spat at the towering Doberman. Did Caesar think she was a fool!?! Who would believe a deal like that? The she-cat knew he wouldn't let either survive. The tabby mother bunched her muscles and Cheif knew she was going to spring. At the last second before she was about to jump, Chief was ready to jump toward Caesar and grab the kits.
He knew the orange tabby's plan and he was going to follow her movement. I know I'm going to regret what I'm about to do! But it's the righ thing to do... His blue and brown eyes caught every movement of the she-cat and she crashed into Caesar's mouth pushing Kestrel and the orange kit from his mouth. Sacrifice?.... Cheif had never seem a sight like that, and never knew the real term os sacrifice. As the kits fell to the ground Cheif dashed and swooped under the large mouth of Caesar and gently snatched the kits from mid-air. He took a few steps after regaining his balance and turned to Caesar, the kits both in his jaws. Caesar gave a satisfied nod with the tabby still crushed in his jaws. He looked to the mother she-cat and her eyes were filled with such anger and a tint of sadness as she had to realize her plan had failed....but had it?
She howled a plea to Cheif and it seemed her hysteria had come to an end. She had come to terms with her mind, she thought her plan would work. Both tabby toms clenched their teeth and snarled as they edged their way toward Cheif and taking advantge of Caesar's distracted terms. He looked into the mother's eyes and his pores practically oozed redemption. He looked at her and hoped she'd understand his eyes, 'Don't worry...I'm not supposed to be doing this but I will not hurt your kittens... He cautiously walked the two kits to their brother and sisters and lowered the kits gently to the floor, placing them near his paws where Caesar would have to fight to get them now.
Cheif wanted Caesar to drop the mother cat and in his mind he would disobey his alpha to get what he wanted. But with the stunt he planned on pulling, there'd be no respect left for him and Shiba would have his hyde. Even the new members to the pack would look down on him and constantly snap at his heels, but he'd still walk with pride because to him he'd be doing the right thing. Even if it was for a cat! No regrets, he sighed and Caesar seeing what Cheif was doing applied more pressure to the mothr cat in question. He gulped and held his head high, he peered toward the toms and snarled a warning. Even if they didn't listen, Cheif would fight them off and get Caesar to let go. Cheif was about Caesar's hieght but beefier and he held his authoratative voice,"The kits need a mother Caesar....for now" he had to add that last part to make it sound like he was still on the pack's side, which really he still was. "Lets report back to Shiba, we need to regroup anyway" Caesar didn't let go though and a snarl ripped through Cheif's clenched teeth. Maybe a weak plea would work and Ceasar would probably appreciate a pup to submit and beg.
His claws dug into the soft soil, and he rolled his eyes. "Caesar, please! You can tell Shiba of my disobidience but drop her!" Another snarl. The toms bunched their muscles and Cheif's heart spen a mile a minute. This won't turn out well... OOC: Ok! Sorry it's long and If anyone has a problem with the events currently going on with Cheif and his actions, let me know. I'll change it ASAP! but I hope it's ok...I had planned for if Caesar didn't drop Indy he'd ram himself into him?? I don't know, whatever you guys want XD I think that it's really difficult to rp a sort of change in heart, but it's done beautifully here and in other posts in the Like Pain? thread. Really well done!!! I can't wait to read more posts about Cheif.

Once again there are quite a few things I'd like to admire.
The sky was a brilliant shade of light blue, the sun's warmth making this day almost perfect for any kitten that enjoys sunny days. It was cloudless and peaceful, and one little 8 week old would learn exactly what a pumpkin was. Small paws walked onto the over-turned soil, a kitten squealing with delight. She hadn't felt something like this before, only hard, packed dirt and cement. the soft soil comforted her paw pads. The kitten had been traveling for a long time now without her parents.
Her amber eyes were glittering with pleasure when she spotted the large orange 'things'. "Ooh!" shrieked the she-cat galloping towards them. What's this? She opened her mouth and staring gnawing at the round thing. It was hard for her, the kitten starting scratching at it and a hole formed. She put her head through it and a scent of pumpkin insides went through her nostrils. "Ick! That's a horrible smell." she said, cringing. Her paw went inside and felt something gooey, tongue sticking out. Scooping some of the goop, the tortoiseshell looked at it. Seeds!. Her parents taught her about fruits and vegetables that humans grow.
"It's a pumpkin." she said, amused. Jenni taught her about the orange vegetable fill with seeds and orange pumpkin stuff. Oleander looked at the stem and put her mouth around it, dragging the pumpkin to the shade. Pumpkins are so fun!! She continued to claw and bite at it, trying to cut it in half.
1. From The wonder of pumpkins, this is the starting post and a very cute one at that. Starting posts are always important because they set the theme for the thread or, if it's the character's first post in a thread with a post already, set the theme for the character during the thread. This post is nicely written and gives a very cute insight into Oleander. I found it quite enjoyable to read =D
The park. A field of beauty to the old dog. A smile along his maw as he took himself inside onto the soft settling grass beneath his pads, it felt so much softer than that horrid concrete, and that just made his paws ache. The golden retriever entered without caution or any hesitation, rather, he walked in slowly. His age was increasing, and sadly, his ability to run or walk was decreasing. Yet Shadow kept himself strong and enjoyed his life as it was.
The heat was once again unbearable to the old guy, tongue lolling from his maw as the long haired retriever took himself to the center of the park underneath the comfort and shade of a tree. Sitting himself down softly and carefully he admired the scenery of playing children. He even spotted a few playing with puppies and other dogs who in an extent, spotted Shadow, came over sniffed and then returned to their play.
Shadow wasn't as active before and wasn't too interested on the greeting of another dog as much as he used to be. Rather, he preferred to live his life peacefully and in the comfort of whatever the weather it may seem. His brown eyes picked up a husky, a very active one of that, and he gave a light chuckle to the thought of how lovely it would be to play once again, but his old bones weren't as they used to be. Sadly, if Shadow tried to play, he would probably start to ache within a matter of minutes.
He watched closely as the husky approached before passing him allowing him to catch her scent, and it was a female aroma before he watched her settle down on the edge of the park. Shadow kept his smile before standing and most calmly, followed her before approaching with a wide grin. "I'm afraid the humans around here are not too fond of us." His tail wagged, that bushy coat of his being swayed by the wind slightly. "God. Where are my manners? My name is Shadow. Lovely to meet you." He gave a nod in a sort of friendly gestured bow.
Now if I was one to know that dogs greeted each other by the sniffing of another's rear, Shadow was more of a socialized fellow, and if I must say. This was way of greeting was A LOT better. By all means.
2. This post is here because I found it very amusing to read, filled with lots of enjoyable details. Furthermore, Shadow is just such an adorable old softie and I'm a huge fan. Who doesn't love kindly old golden retrieves? Anyways, the writing backs up the positive first impression that I'd received, making me a big fan. It was very interesting to read and I loved it <3
A pair of identical jet black spheres glanced over the scene, cruel, evil and plotting. Caesar's eyes were slits, as he silently watched the scene unravel before him. This was going so well. He was completely overpowering these puny felines, and with Chief by his side this task would be all too easy. He considered his next course of action. Obviously, he could just kill the kits. All of them. But, maybe it'd be worse to keep them alive for a little while? Yet it was incredibly risky. He held the tiny kit in his jaws, spiking his fangs ever so slightly into her skin. Biding his time, he watched all of the cats. The mother, of course, was the first to take action. He heard her mutter two identical words. No... No! He smirked cruelly, and snarled. "Yes, yes." His voice was simple, yet malevolent. The mother was protecting her tiny wittle kits? How sweet!
He listened absent-mindedly to the orange tabby as she spoke again. Something about giving up. Perfect. His face lit up even further, and she padded up to him to take her kit. Excellent. "Sure. Give up on your kits like the puny feline you are!" His voice was vicious, and he smirked throughout. He let out a bark of surprise as a small orange body flew at his jaw. Accidentally, his fangs slipped and the tiny little kitten fell swiftly from his mouth. She'd even managed to free the other kitten! In outrage, he lunged out at her and elevated her off the ground. He sunk his fangs deeper and deeper into her flesh. He loved the taste of blood. But, he wouldn't kill her just yet. Rapidly, he eyes the other cats, wondering what to do next. Caesar was pretty confident that he wouldn't drop the orange tabby she-cat.
His jaw opened in shock as Chief began to speak. "WHAT?" His voice boomed out even above the noise of the falls. "Chief what the heck is going through your tiny little mind! We are dogs, not pathetic, useless felines! Why back down now, when we have a huge task ahead of us?!" Without thinking, he darted out and dealt a heavy blow to the side of Chief's muzzle. It wasn't a very affective blow, but it was really just to shock the husky. "I don't know what's in that big thick skull of yours but it's certainly not a brain! Now come on and help me!" The Doberman looked formidable and spiteful. The wicked canine stared across the scene, wondering how he had managed to talk in between the orange scrap of fur still in his jaws. He considered killing her now, but really it wouldn't be fair (to him of course) to put her out of her misery.
A single lazy chocolate-brown ear swivelled towards the multi-coloured cat as he spoke. Caesar responded with a casual shrug. "Nope. Why'd you ask?" His voice sounded bored, and tired with the annoying little cats. "What gives you the right to take their lives away?" The dog micmicked and mocked the emerald-eyed calicos words with a feigned compassionate grin. "Why on Venus should I let this idiot cat go?" He dug his long fangs further into her orange mass of fur, and shook his head slightly. Just a cat. Nothing interesting, nothing different. Just a cat.
"So, what do you guys think?" He grinned as he spoke again. "Should I kill her now? Or wait for the kittens to go first. Chief, if you have any sense, loyalty or brains you'll help me now. Guard those kittens. Quickly now, put them all in the nest! Let's not kill anyone yet. Let them suffer slightly first." 4. Well Cheif's pot has already made it here but I think Caesar's is also pretty awesome. I mean the pure evilness and the quick-thinking of how to make Indigo suffer the absolute most is extremely entertaining even if it means I have to think extremely hard to figure out how to save everyone's favorite feline Jk. No but seriously, this is one awesome post from Robin, as always.
There seemed to be no end to smiles on that day. Alright, the weather wasn't perfect, but the orange spotted tom didn't really seem to care. He trotted along merrily, the wind buffeting his short, bright fur as he progressed. He was rapidly picking his way through a long field, heading for a range of towering white and grey mountains. Life was so good at the moment! He moved with a spring in his step (and a song in his heart) and his gold eyes were flicking swiftly around, trying to take in everything that was possible for a nearly 10 month old kitten. He couldn't believe how long he'd been in Nenbrook so far! It seemed such a short time, but really it had been a while. With everything that was happening, he really couldn't blame himself for losing track of the time. He'd met Dandi, and Fern, and Nest, and Coon, and Magic, and Lilly, and Cedar, and Willow! So many new friends in so little time! He wanted to run about shouting little happy cries.
He picked out a solitary figure amidst the grey of the mountains. A white cat? He could determine the colour of his eyes so far. He seemed to be, talking to himself? Robin held back a crazy laugh. He was talking to himself? That was even more immature than Robin was himself, and that's saying something. His legs moved briskly as he moved, quickly forgetting about the previously hilarious issue. He came to the base of the mountain, and figured out how he could get up to the same height as the white cat. His mind whirred as he calculated possible ways, but none seemed sufficient. Before very long, he spotted an overhang not to far up from ground level. After padding a few tail-legnths, he leapt up, missing his target narrowly. Holding back a screech of surprise, he managed to spin around and push himself up with his paws. Breathing quickly, he attempted to calm down and figure out his next move. Recognising a potential path, he leapt up again and landed on the edge of a larger, more bumpy surface. His paws scrabbled on the hard stone as he pounced again, and once more before he dashed across a long trail before finally reaching the vast platform where the tom was sat.
"Hiaa! I'm Robin Quickwhisker, sooo who are you?" Robin spoke quickly, all in one rushed breath before he began to pant heavily. That climb hadn't exactly been easy. He glanced over the cat's shoulder and saw a clear ramp which he could have used instead of struggling all the way up to his destination. Shrugging, he scrutinized the other cat. He seemed solid white, about a year old or so? Not that much older than Robin really. This cat could be fun! The orange spotty ball of fluff managed to lie down on the rock, but he was twitching slightly. For some reason, he seemed to have lots of energy this morning. How could he use it here though? Calming down slightly, he relaxed his body, but his eyes were still bright and full of life, and he had a toothy smile plastered on his face. Robin bent his light-amber head back subtly to see the stranger more clearly. He jumped, and almost skidded across the rock and off the ledge as he saw the tom's eye colour. Shrieking, he regained his balance. Robin would say that was his main fault. Obviously, he was a heck of a scaredy cat. "Wow, what's wrong with your eyes?" The speckled kitten exclaimed without thinking. A moment later, he withdrew biting his lip in embarrassment. How nasty had that comment been? He'd probably really offened this albino now. Robin shuddered. 4. ROBIN!! Haha as amazing as Robin the member is, I think Robin the cat is just as cool xD He's so cute and has a great personality, which makes reading his posts always entertaining. I loved this post because of the thought (and lack of in talking to Haven lol ). Robin's just so sweet and cute and I love the way he talks without thinking xDD Go Robin!
And it’s not my fault 'cause you both deserve What is coming now so don’t say a word 'This is the third time I've been here.' The thoughts of a lonely rare male calico trailed off like dust in the wind as he patted down an old broken path. It was times like this, the calico feline often wondered why he was here? Had he done something to deserve this? He wasn't sure if this new life he was living now was a blessing or a curse. Loneliness didn't become of him. He had been surrounded by others all his life now suddenly everyone was gone. As a kitten he had his parents and siblings. As an ally cat he had Whiskers, now as a stray he had no one. He didn't do anything wrong, it wasn't his fault the things happened the way they did.
Slowly the calico tom closed his emerald green orbs and shook his head. He felt so, misguided at the moment. Confused if you would. After leaving Osprey at the river, helping save kittens from two dogs. He had a real nice adventure here as a stray. However, he felt imcomplete. Maybe he was missing that special someone? 'Haha, don't even joke.' He frowned sure he wanted to fall in love and start a family but was love really for him? He'd never loved anyone before. The closest he came to loving someone was his family and Whiskers, but he was almost family and family was unconditional love. It wasn't the same.
Sighing deeping outwards the calico tom shook the nasty thoughts from his mind. Flicking his different colored rims the calico spotted a cream colored feline with patches of black and brown around his fur. He smiled slightly, this was the first time he'd seen a Siamese cat, he heard they wheren't nothing special but you never knew until you got a friend hand--or paw--look, right? Scretching his legs and rolling his tongue into a wide yawn the calico trotted over to the Siamese.
Licking his fine black lips the calico smiled to the tom. "Hey," He cooled in an even tone. Neither excited nor dull it was nuterel. Monotone if you would. "Having seen you around before. You're new right?" He evenly smoothed out with a soft question which was obviously already answered. Nice cool start to a conversation. "Name's Twilight, Twilight Spitfire." He said flashing the Siamese a friendly grin. He enjoyed meeting new cats and like the wind blew away a storm the calico's dry mood was lifted. Wake Up Call - Maroon 5 5. Yay for Neko I really loved this post with Twilight because it was interesting to read and showed a bit more of Twilight's personal thoughts and hopes, which I found really cool. He's just such an amazing, interesting cat and it was very neat to read about him thinking about all that stuff because the way he thinks is very cool and interesting to follow. Nice writing, as always, and an all-around great post.
Basil had been walking for some time before the sound of another approaching caught his attention. Putting on a charming grin the Siamese turned to face the approaching Calico. Bowing to the tom Basil gave a small nod of greeting. “ Good day to you, sir” He said smoothly, greeting the Calico before sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. Basil’s posture was flawless as always, giving him a statued, proud, confidant look. It was the way he had been taught when he was younger and something he’d never grown out of as he got older. The male spoke next about him being new here and Basil gave a nod, he was new here, and quite glad to see another friendly cat about, he had a few questions to ask, including where he was. The tom introduced himself and Basil dipped his head again. “ I go by Basil, Basil Steelbloom, I’m a multiple ribbon winner for best in show” He said with a grin before his expression turned serious. “ Don’t go judging me yet, however, I’m more then capable of looking after and hunting for myself” He said with a soft chuckle and a sigh. “ Now, a handsome young tom like yourself wouldn’t be too busy to help an old lost show cat now would he?” Basil asked, giving Twilight another one of his charming grins. “ You see, I was dropped off here by someone from the shelter where they’ve been keeping me… And, to be frank, I have no clue where I am” He said with a sigh, hoping the Calico would have the heart to help the poor lost tom. Clearing his throat slightly Basil smiled at Twilight and flicked his tail slightly. “ I’ve grown quite hungry as well, if you have any suggestions for a hunting place” He added after a quick moment as his stomach gave another soft rumble, reminding him of his hunger. Giving a soft sigh Basil’s bright blue orbs slowly lifted to the skies, he was glad to be away from the humans finally, this was his big chance to start a new life; he had nothing but regret in his past. ‘ Yeah… A new life’ He thought with a small smile, turning his attention back to the Calico. “ You really do have a gorgeous pelt, you’re a calico aren’t you? I’ve seen some pretty calicos in my lifetime, but I have to say you measure up to some of the best” Basil said with a chuckle, flicking his ears slightly. “ Especially for a tom, males are rare in your breed, aren’t they?” He added with a small grin, he wasn’t trying to butter the male up, even though it may have seemed such. Everything Basil said was true, having been to many cat shows the Siamese had seen many of the most gorgeous cats in the world. And Basil could tell that with a little grooming, Twilight could hold his ground to some of the best, even if he wasn’t pure bred. 6. You kow I think I might as well just recommend the entire A new beginning thread with Basil and Twilight cause it's just so awesome. I love Twilight and I love Basil so having them together is awesome =D Cutest couple!! Jk, lol. Anyways, yeah I really like this post cause I found it so much fun to read with Basil's constant chatter. The post and speech just show so much of his personality without him actually talking about it, you know? So yeah, very awesome xDD
And haha that's it, six posts later. I think I'm pretty bad at picking one favorite post, you know? I'll just admire a bunch of them xD -grins-

Tansy stretched and gave a little yawn as she woke up. Blinking sleepily she lifted her head to look around the barn. No one. The she-cat sighed and rose, padding out the hay as a grumble from her stomach urged her on. She sniffed, instantly catching the warm smell of mouse. It was hard not too when there were so many around here. Tansy trotted out of the barn and around the side, freezing when she spotted the brown little thing, nibbling on a sunflower seed just outside its hole. Unable to resist the challenge, she lowered herself into a hunter's crouch and began stalking forward slowly. The mouse froze. Tansy leaped but it had already darted into its nest with a squeak of alarm.
Her tail flicked impatiently. Any mouse around here would have heard that! Hopefully they were all dumb enough to come back out for food anyway. Rolling her eyes, she continued to walk around the barn, smelling the next mouse before she saw it. It's head poked outside of a little hole; evidently it was trying to determine whether or not to come out. Tansy sat perfectly still. She would get this mouse. A minute passed before it scampered out, its nose to the ground as it sniffed for seeds and grains. Tansy crept forward carefully and then, just as it scented her and froze, about to dash off, she pounced, nipping the back of its neck sharply and killing it at once.
The she-cat grinned, letting out a mrrow of triumph. She courhced down and began to nibble at the mouse, purring as the warm meat fed her up nicely. When she was done, she jumped up onto a small wooden table nearby. The sun was up in the sky and it shone down, warming her fur and giving her a pleasant, drowsy feeling. Tansy continued to purr, her eyes shutting softly under the sun's warm influence. Just another peaceful morning...
OOC: This is actually Lu, Hazel is quitting and has agreed that Tansy may be killed off by the dogs as part of the plot. Therefore I need a dog here, maybe two. But no cats please! Thank you xD It's extremely hard to rp someone else's character but I think that Lu does it nicely here. THE ORANGE SHE-CAT sat in the midst of the warm, summer sun, the rays flickering down nicely on her ever-the-complimenting pelt, and causing her amber eyes to glow. Her chest puffed with a deep breath, her lids coming to rest easily over those once glowing eyes. She mewed lightly to her self. Total relaxation. Her lips perked slightly at the though of her relaxation. Ha.
MAYBE MATURITY WAS coming upon her. The day was ever lingering closer, and it frightened her. Sure, it would be nice to finally be appreciated as a full grown, beautiful she-cat, but would life's fun suddenly end? Her ears drooped to a new level as she thought of this, and her shoulders rolled involuntarily, Spice now hunched over in frustration.
MAYBE SHE WOULDN'T change, maybe all would be well. But that antagonizing thought lingered in the back of her mind. The 'what if' factor. It was always there, and always bugging the person it effected. Spice scoffed. She couldn't let her day be ruined like this, right? No! Never! She would never let her thought be swept away by some silly little burden that didn't carry a minuscule of importance upon it's back. She sat up a little straighter, her front paws squared firmly under her puffed out chest, a beam spread across her temerity. She breathed easy. No. It wasn't going to ruin her day. Although, it wouldn't hurt if she had something to distract her from these thoughts..
HER ORBS FLICKED from left to right, scanning the people and their 'pets' running about. Even after all this time, and after being with humans for the first six months of her life, she had never figured them out. She grunted in frustration, flicking her ears back and scowling. She hated to not know things, especially since she was so darn curious. Her mouth hung agape, long after the scowl faded, taking in all the scents of the park. Some humans somewhere had some very delicious smelling food! And then, the smell of a dog. She had always liked that smell, but she didn't know why. Most cats were afraid. It interested her. Spice's tail flicked back and forth slowly over the warm, white concrete.
SPICE GINGERSNAP SMILED to herself, glancing at a small child as he approached her. In his hand, he carried a chunk of.. Tuna? How stereotypical. But Spice didn't mind. Behind the small boy, was a rather vintage styled mother, cooing and waving at Spice as if she was some sort of... freak. She rolled her eyes as the boy nervously held out his hand, his palm held flat, the tuna about ready to roll off. Approaching him as if she to were shy, she gently took the chunk of fish from him, sat down, and chewed. She mewed back up at him, which of course he wouldn't understand as 'thank-you'. She waited until her ran off, then fell lazily upon her side. Moping. Those thoughts were now back, and she didn't like it. The previous Spice would never treat a small child so nicely, she'd just take the tuna and run, actually, the old Spice would never even be at the park. She'd be romping through the forest, or rolling down the hills, or wrestling with the toms. She sighed, determined to put these stresses at ease.
I just adore this post! All of Krabbie's posts are so well-written and I enjoy reading all of them and I can't wait to rp with her. Spice is a really fun kitty to read about, and all of her posts are thoughtful and fun to read. Good job! X]

Awww XD thanks Lulu, I luffles Basil, he has such a strong personality. But Twix and Basil as a couple? Lol I wish xD Twilight has his eye on another kitty, Basil wouldn't stand a chance~ I'll do one: Sulking along through the hidden path, slugishly dragging himself between trees, Cheif looked down with eyes filled with wariness. He had had a horrible night sleep, dreaming of cats and dogs, killing and yowls of pain from each side. He shook the horrid memory from his head and kept walking...or dragging himself. He wasn't acting like his usual self and needed something to take his mind off his reoccuring nightmare. He was pretty drained of energy though, especially after the ordeal he had the other day with Caesar, his fellow pack mate, and an orange tabby she-cat. His virtues and descisions had made a drastic change in such a short amount of time he was half shocked.
He was still bound to his pack though and the attack on the cats would still go as planned. Suddenly, as if smacked out of his thoughts, he heard a pain-stricken yelp close by and he hadn't scented another dog nearby. Then again he hadn't really been looking. Now he had a bit of life in his step and he spread his muzzle slightly open to drink in nearby scents. He was confused, the dog was a female but he didn't recognized her smell. She wasn't from the pack and he hesitated, before walking forward toward the femme. To his right was the deeper part of the forest and to his left, directly parallel to him, was the genltle slopes of Nenwood. The sun shown intense and hot over the hills and he sighed, thankful for being under the safe canapy of the trees.
Stepping lightly, more so then before, he bent down on his haunches as if stalking. He peered through the gaps between te bushes to see a beautiful, sleak, lean, black and white she-dog. A husky like him. "Wow!" He couldn't help but blurt out in an abrupt whisper. The only husky he ever saw was his mother and no other. And never had he imagined that the husky he saw would be this pretty. He also caught the faint glimpse of a squirrel as it ran up to hide into the tree. He saw at least two randomly placed acorns near the she-husky and he could only assume what happened. 'She was assaultede by a squirrel...annoying rodent' He snickered, but stiffened. A crisp breeze picked up throwing his scent into the air into her direction. 'SHOOT! He wanted to show himself to her when he felt a bit for mentally prepared, but the wind forced him out, giving away his hidden presence. He moaned inwardly, but inhaled sharply and stood up tall.
Walking out of the cover of the bushes he walked out slowly, looking down at his bumbling big paws as they took their rehersed positions, one in front of the other. Forcing a smile he looked to the emerald green eyes of the canine. Clearing his throught he finally spoke, "Hiya! Saw that squirrel was taking advantage of ya! The names Cheif...um no last name available. heh" His face turned a pale scarlet, but his tail amazingly started to wag excitedly. His tongue lolled and he hoped she wouldn't brush him off and turn away... that would really make his day. OOC: Sorry that took me a bit!! Hope the reply is ok I truely adore this post really xD it's funny and cute, his reaction to seeing another husky just made me laugh and love him more, it's a well written post, too.

-runs a finger along dusty admirers thread- Whoa. This place is empty and its giving me the creeps! But I have to add this little thing, having read back a little while ago on a thread that I wanted to mention I would like to see a new post on but forgot about xP It's a shame I'm an idiot, you know?
ANYWAYS. -cough- Ahem, sorry. ANYWAYS.
I ish here to admire An Unfortunate Reunion featuring the brilliant performances of Stellar and Ash.
Stellar watched as disbelief blew over the silver tom's face. There was no fight. The worse thing that had happened that night was when they mated, and that was bittersweet. Ash didn't seem to believe Stellar, didn't seem to think what he was saying was true. But it was. Nothing but a small-talk conversation and mating had happened.. But it wasn't small-talk. It was a heart-felt, every word that Stellar had said. If Stellar could say every word that was said that night, show every touch, would Ash see that Stellar loved Indigo more than words could explain? Or would it make things worse, for Indigo, and Stellar?
Indigo and I haven't really...talked..." [/i] The word Indigo with anyone else using the word "I"... It made Stellar's stomach boil... How had it all changed so fast? So qickly? It was like, one second Stellar and Indigo, and the next, Ash and Indigo. It made Stellar's head spin. How could anything change so quickly? It was as if Stellar had fast-fowarded about two thousand years or something, and disappeared in the process. But he hadn't... He never had. But now she was gone. Why did he have to keep on telling himself that? Was once not good enough? Did he have to bring himself lower? Why didn't he just bury himself or something? He wouldn't have to wory about anything anymore. "Stellar, I realize now what she did to you. But, once you have walked in my paws...you don't know pain like I do!"[/i] Pain. Ash had no idea what pain was. He could say that word all he wanted, say that was how he felt, but it wasn't. He hadn't loved someone, then had them leave, then come back, only for them to leave them again... To tear them apart. Stellar shook his head slowly. "Pain is just like beauty. It's in the eye of the beholder, I guess." He spoke totally opposite of the way he felt. He felt like roaring at Ash. Tell him that he was stupid to call his situation pain. But he didn't. There was an odd, long silence. Silences like this brough Stellar to think of that night... No matter what Indigo said, Stellar would not be convinced. This was his fault. How could it not? He had given in to the temptation, and now, he was being told it wasn't his fault? So, what, then, if Stellar jumped of a cliff because he couldn't have Indigo for a mate, it wasn't his fault for dying?
Stellar settled when Indigo grinned, but then he hear Indigo speak again. If she loved Ash so much, then why was she here? Why had she let Stellar mate with her?
"A much deeper level, eh? I guess when you leave someone then tell them to mate with them makes you a love guru, then. What is wrong with you Indigo? You tell me you love me and then you get like this? I hope Ash has a great time with you. Enjoy your kits!"
Stellar got up, and walked away, not looking back at Indigo. Stellar didn't want to do this, but this would give him something to remember whenever he started worrying about Indigo. Something to tell him never to go back to her. Something to make him...
How was he doing this? Leaving her? He knew how. She wanted him to leave. She didn't love him. She had used him. She had told him she loved him and then ripped him up into millions of peices and thrown them up into the wind. Now he was scattered, with no one to pick him up and put him together again. He was alone, never to see Indigo again. And now Ash would be happy. Stellar hissed at the thought of that tom.
"'And we'll love each other for the rest of forever,'" Stellar said in a mocking voice. "Make sure you love him, Indigo. Because I won't be here to love if you ever want to come back."
Inside, even though he said that, Stellar was falling apart. He felt like laying down in a heap of garbage and just letting the flies eat him. He kicked a soup can with his brown paw and trudged off.
Would he ever love again? Was what Ash said true? Was there someone out there for him, better than Indigo? Stellar hissed. How could he think such a thing? "I don't know if Indigo wants to talk to you, because aparently you said some things too and she didn't like them!" "Do you even know what happened there, Ash?! No! You were doing who knows what while your "mate" was off with another tom mating with him. How does that make you feel?! You say pain, but how do you think I feel?! If I said ANYTHING to make her hate me, she ahd to say something in the first place because I will ALWAYS LOVE HER. Nothing she can say can stop that, and nothing you can either. Maybe I got angry, but I think you would too! I was completely happy until "prince charming" came along."OOC: ha. posting with stellar is like anger management. x333 feel free to make ash lash out, too. x33 anger makes me type more.;; [/blockquote][/quote] Like whoa. SOOO EMOTIONAL. I totally remembered back on Like Pain? reading this, just because of all the built up tension. This is like, one of my favorite love triangles off all the sites I've RPed on, and that's saying something. Yes, Vion's post was totally kickass, but we also can't forget Sea's! Ash watched Stellar carefully, trying to judge his moves. The tiniest thing might set him off, Ash shuffled his paws nervously. A horror-struck expression spread over his face. Stellar started to tell him there was no fight. Huh? Fight? A disagreement then? He and Indigo hadn't really talked about the whole mate-with-Stellar experience. He was planning on it the next time he got a chance. Ash had just assumed that there was a fight.
The grey tom adjusted his position. "There wasn't?" Ash asked lowering his eyes to his paws. He listened, that was weird. Hm..odd. He could see how hurt Stellar was, the pain this story caused him. Ash smoothed a spot with his paw and looked up slightly, staring at Stellar's chest. "Indigo and I haven't really...talked..." He looked at Stellar's face, how deranged it was. Ash cringed away, "Well, we haven't talked about that yet, we were just focused on kits..." Ash studdered and returned his gaze to the ground.
He realized what pain Indigo had caused Stellar. She asked to mate with him? Ash was offended. He knew that Indigo had sort of 'left' Stellar there, after telling him there was nothing. How could she live with herself after that? A burning flame welded up inside of him as his gaze hardened. "She shouldn't have done that..." He mumbled to himself.
Ash winced a little bit as Stellars harsh words slashed through him. He looked up, "Stellar, I realize now what she did to you. But, once you have walked in my paws...you don't know pain like I do!" He shot back harshly as a bunch of old memories went through his mind...
Sometime between when I was six months of age and my first birthday, my mother decided to do away with those treacherous humans. She became a stray, which meant that I had to live with my dad twenty-four-seven. My sister got worse, she always got the biggest of the prey, the biggest space…I think you get the point. I was always given the smallest, my mother was through standing up for me and she had the scars to prove it (That’s right, my dad abused her. Who said only humans abuse?). But there was one night that she lost it, me as well.
We were all eating, except me. There wasn’t enough food for me, only my mother, Violet, and dad of course. I sat with my head hanging in depression. I felt like I had lost my voice, I hadn’t spoken in a few months. Because, quite frankly, it didn’t make any difference at all. I glanced at my mother, burning in fury. “JASPER!” She shouted, I shook my head at her, “DON’T TREAT ASH LIKE THIS! HE DOESN’T DESERVE IT!” She bared her teeth. “What the heck has your son done to you to make you so mad? To make you abuse him and me and treat both of us like slaves!” She glared hard and long into her mate’s eyes with no compassion what-so-ever for him. “DON’T YOU DARE TALK TO ME LIKE THAT CINDER FIRESTAR!” He used her last name before she mated with him. I had never heard it, but I loved it. “He did not do anything to me, but to our dear Violet.” “He didn’t do anything, Jasper Cedarwood!” She hissed at him. “Oh yeah, he hasn’t been nice to her one time!” “Of course not, he hasn’t had a chance to!” He stayed silent for a moment, and then he hissed and slashed across her face with his deathly claws. She fell to the ground with tears flowing from her eyes. She motioned with her beautiful tail to come to me. “Ash, honey, please go,” she pleaded. “No, mom. I’m not leaving you…” He stared into her pretty blues with concern, “I can’t trust him.” “No matter what happens to me, I always loved you,” she licked her dry lips, “I believe it’s time for both of us to go our separate ways.” “I know,” I whispered then turned to Jasper. “You foul-mouthed mongrel!” I shouted, “YOU DOG!” I ran at him and tackled him, slashing at his face and any body part I could scratch. “YOU NEVER LOVED HER!” He growled. “YOU NEVER LOVED ME!” I felt hot, salty water flowing down my cheeks. “YOU KILLED YOUR MATE!” I knew it was true, mom had her last straw. She had her last breath, and she was happy to know that she had somebody to love, her son. I think she heard my fighting and was pleading for me to stop like she always had. “I HATE DOGS!” I hissed and slashed one more time at his face and I struck gold. I got off of my bloody father and ran into the night.
And another one, much harsher flashed through his mind.
When we reached the pound, Heather explained that the pound had four rooms, one for first day arrivals, another for second day cats, and a third for final day cats. I think you can guess what the fourth room was for. “Where are you from, Ash?” Heather asked, suddenly curious in my past. “I’m from a small town.” “Which one?” “You know, I honestly have no idea,” I shrugged and paced around the cage. “That’s um…interesting. What were your parents like?” “My dad was a retard and my mother was a wonderful she-cat.” “Nice,” she giggled. “Any siblings?” “A stuck-up-brat-of-a-sister.” “Sweet!” She smiled. “I didn’t have any parents.” “I’m sorry,” I mewed sympathetically. “Don’t be, they weren’t cool enough for me. That’s why they left.” “S-“ I stopped myself, “Cool.” “I know.” She smiled, showing her sharp teeth.
We stayed in the pound for two days. We talked for hours on end. We found out everything about each other. She told me I was the bravest tom she’d ever met, I recoiled that with, “Yeah, but I should have done that earlier.” She said back, “But you weren’t ready.” I smiled. “I was always ready. I just wasn’t brave enough.” “Ash,” she laughed once, “You weren’t old enough, let’s put it that way, shall we?” “Yeah, that works…” my voice faded as I thought about Winter.
I heard the door open and I turned my eyes to it. I saw a man walk in. He looked ever-so familiar. “Listen, Heather, if I get adopted today, you’re the best friend I’ve ever had.” The man walked by my pen and stopped and looked at me. I looked into his eyes. “You too,” She mewed, licking my forehead in a friendly way. The man picked me up. “Alvin, is it really you?” He said, I mewed softly. “IT IS!” He shouted a triumphant laugh. “Ash, you psychic tom, you!” Heather called to me. I laughed, “I just had a feeling. He’s easy to get away from.” She laughed too. “I wish I could come with you, Ash Firestar!” She mewed sadly. “You know I wish so as well.” “Yeah. I guess we all have a destiny, eh?” “Aye, that we do.” I frowned, she was going to die. That was her last day there...
A small tear strayed down his cheek, but Ash quickly wiped it away before Stellar had a chance of seeing it. Ash glared hard at Stellar, "I don't know if Indigo wants to talk to you, because aparently you said some things too and she didn't like them!" He hissed back. He frowned, "Sorry, I went off.
