On a spiritual faultline of the Earth, there lay the urban sprawl of Saicity, a metropolis not unlike a futuristic version of Tokyo isolated by sea and forest, where demonic activity has been on the rise ever since the recent disappearance of the guardian of the gates of hell to parts unknown. Here, modern day clashes with with the traditional in a unique environment normal humans, animal spirits, demons, their angelic counterparts, and an array of humans who can call upon the powers of lesser spirits to become succubi, lycans, vampires, and more call home. The government dedicates its efforts to trying to repress knowledge of the supernatural, and the Sacred Hunters in the forests act to cull the local spirit fauna. In return, some articulate spirits are acting to reveal the truth while the beastlike ones haunt innocent mortals. Crime syndicates are on the rise, and corporations are feeding propaganda to citizens. The world just got a little bit darker, will light ever come back to it? It's up to you.
