there are creatures that people only believe that they exist in horror stories. beasts such as, vampires, werewolves, and even shifters and magicians. but what humans don't know is: that there really are such beings, living among them in secret. they've been here as long - or perhaps longer - as humans have, this world is just as must theirs as ours. though, not everyone thinks so. over the centuries, the secret leaked, and the mythical races were uncovered.
at first, the humans were amazed at these creatures, and treated them like gods. but as time went on, humans realized how vicious they could be. the people started to chase them off, put up bans - that any supernatural would be killed on the spot, so the creatures once again went back into hiding. this same pattern continued, they would hide, be discovered, a war would even start, then things would die down and they would disappear yet again.
it was then in 1973 that a man named Edwin Marek met a vampire woman. and long story short, they fell in love. however at the time, the supernaturals were at war with the humans. during this time, Henry's lover was killed. he was overwhelmed with grief and soon went mad.
seven years later in 1982, Edwin Marek founded an island he called Roshan - after his vampire lover- and eventually created Carraden College -for the gifted, and the supernatural. however, people grew suspicious of him and the boarding college on Roshan, and some wondered why their children, plain humans, could not attend Carraden. there was an argument which broke out; being human, Henry agreed to let few humans attend Carraden -humans with gifted abilities. Edwin then later died in 1993, leaving Carraden and Roshan in his family's care...
peace never lasts long, as everyone knows. but who really knows what's going to happen next? care to find out?
