Name: Phantom Leafsong Gender: Female Date of Birth: July 27 Height: 21 centimeters Sexual Preference: Straight. Status: Not spayed.
Coat Color: Silver Coat Pattern: Tortoiseshell Eye Color: Grey Fur Length: Medium Appearance Extra: One long, thin scar that starts under her jaw and ends an inch below the first joint on her front right leg.
History: Phantom doesn't remember much of her past . . . the last thing that she actually recalls, that isn't just a flash of a memory, is being in a box along with two other kittens. The box was rolling and jerking, and the trio couldn't see over the rim. The box gave one final lurch, and it halted all together. Phantom and the others began to call out - it was dark inside the box, and they didn't know what was going on. They heard a snap (though they didn't know it at the time it was a car door closing) and the sound of a van door opening very close to them. Desperately, they meowed even louder, and relief filled their hearts as the box they were in lost contact with the ground, and was taken into a persons hands.
Before they had time to even think, in less than a heartbeat even, the box was flying through open air, and with a splash it landed in a stream! Water seeped into the box and Phantom and her siblings - for that was who they were - began to panic and clawed at the top, the sides, the bottom, with no avail. Far off they heard a van's engine jolt to life, and take off quickly down the freeway.
Phantom and her two older siblings, by now, had gouged deep rivets in the side of the cardboard box, and were making more still. The silver she-cat found a spot where water was trickling in quicker than ever and spoke. "Quick! If we can cut through the box here, we'll get out!"
"Don't be stupid, Phantom! We'll drown! We have to find a way to get the top off!"
"It's not coming off! If we swim to shore, we'll be fine."
She knew better - they would not live for sure if she didn't get them out. A few more well placed strikes, and the soggy cardboard would give way to her tiny paws and they could swim out. Sure enough, it did. Phantom went tumbling out, but as she did she hit her head on a rock.
When she woke up, she was all alone with no recollection of who she was or where she was. All she knew (based on the little she could remember) was that her name was Phantom and she had two older siblings whose whereabouts were unknown.
She stretched her sore body, licked her still-damp fur a bit, and limped upwards, away from the stream. Finding herself at an old road, she decided that she had no other choice than to follow it, and see where it led...
Personality: Phantom is shy, and tends to like to blend in. She tries to avoid drawing attention to herself. It's just never something she's liked. When she's around others who she trusts, she is at ease and is more outgoing. If ever confronted by a threat, she would attempt to stand her ground if she must, otherwise she would turn and run with her tail between her legs. Phantom has a distrust of humans, because she blames them for the misfortune that fell upon her and her siblings . . . on the flip side, she loves squirrels, foxes, badgers and other animals. If they aren't running away or trying to hurt her, Phantom finds them to be quite fascinating creatures. Phantom has a tendency to spend as much time alone as possible, and is a little withdrawn and has very few friends. You can't say that others dislike her, they just don't know her. Phantom's outgoing side is not aggressive so much as playful - like a kit! In the autumn, she spends much of her time chasing the falling leaves and trying to catch them. She enjoys the quiet, especially when a stream is nearby because she can just lie down and listen to nature. However, she doesn't like to get too close to running water unless necessary, for obvious reasons. If she has to drink, she's much rather find a puddle or something else to get water from. Phantom doesn't mind the winter as intensely as quite a few cats do - she is fond of the light snow that can easily be thrown around and played in. She isn't over-joyed during spring=time, though, because the snow melts and all of the mud cakes in her fur, and it's difficult to get out. Also, when the snow melts the streams and rivers rise, limiting her 'Get-Away-From-Others' area that she can escape to.
