Yeah, so.
I'm bored and I want comments so I have decided to post some poems and things here and possibly hopefully maybe get ratings/comments/advice. Plzkthx.
Swan Song. [poem]
It’s not that I don’t care about you,
I just can’t bear to live much longer.
Sorry for leaving you all alone.
I know you hate it.
But hey, don’t blame me!
It’s not my fault they’re pressuring us,
Pressuring us to be them.
Do this, do that.
Yeah.
Do it and end up dying.
If only you knew what it’s like to be me.
Me, and all the other kids out there.
All of us, banded together under one cause:
Rallying together,
Fighting together.
That’s right, we’re fighting,
Fighting hard.
And you can’t take it away from us,
Oh no.
We’ll protect it with all we’ve got;
It’s our life,
Our soul.
Yes.
You can’t tear us apart,
Not ever.
So this is it, my last words to you.
My last words to the world.
Swan songs are fun, aren’t they?
Especially to the singer.
Ghost Town. [song]
I’m sitting on a doorstep
In Nowhere, USA
Waiting for a door to open
A light to show the way
But no one sees my tear tracks
Hears salty droplets hit the ground
This little world is mine alone
No whisper, not a sound
‘Cause I’m stuck here
Stuck here and waiting for you
‘Cause I’m
‘Cause I’m stuck here
Stuck here and waiting for what will never be
And
I’m stuck here in this ghost town
With nowhere to go
No one to see
I’m trapped here in this little, lonely town
And the streets are empty
So it is cold
And it is black
The night sky smothers all traces of life
But I’m alone
To brave the darkness
Face your fears
I’m stuck here in this ghost town
With no where to go
No one to see
I’, trapped here in this little lonely town
And the streets are empty
When the rain starts falling
The sky shatters to pieces
And we start our downward spiral
In the midst of the storm
But when the dawn breaks
A golden glow on the horizon
We turn our faces up to the sky
And we say
Today is a new day
A second chance
Tomorrow. [song]
It's the dawning of a new nation tomorrow
Where black is the new white
And young beats old
It's the dawning of a new country tomorrow
Where Generation O beats Generation X
And rainbows are monochromatic
Even though the sun set yesterday
I can pull you close
And whisper in your ear
Even though the moon's not out today
Don't worry
The sum will rise again tomorrow
'Cause it's the dawning of a new people tomorrow
Where the secret men in black
Guard the best one of all
[That was just a random little song I wrote while singing in the shower. xD Brownie points to anyone who can figure out what it's kind of about.]
Untitled. [poem]
When I see you, my heart sinks.
Don't get me wrong --
I love you, I do --
It's just that I don't want to see you.
To see the haunted look in your eyes,
outlines of a writhing creature reflected in them --
Do you know how much it hurts?
Do you know how your claws scratch and scrape at my blackened heart?
I stare at the floor,
Trying to pull away from you,
But something holds me.
Something makes me want to heal your wounds
And sew the hole in your chest where your heart once was.
Don't get me wrong, though --
I love you, I do.
[Just a poem I wrote. It's about how I feel towards one of my friends.]
So... anyone? -hopeful smile-
