Name: Jay Hazelwing Gender: Female Date of Birth: April 1, 2008 Height: 18 cm Sexual Preference: Bisexual Status: Not spayed
Coat Color: Brown Coat Pattern: Solid Eye Color: Blue Fur Length: Medium Appearance Extra: Jay has a lighter brown stripe running down her spine.
History: Jay’s mother, Daisy, and her father met one spring day and immediately fell in love. When Jay’s father learned that Daisy was pregnant, he ran away and never returned to her, not wanted to settle down in one place and raise a family. Daisy was heartbroken. She crept into a small barn and lived there, not letting the owners of the barn know she was there. Jay was born on an unusually hot summer night. Daisy was very nervous and was always trying to keep her kits quiet, knowing that if the humans discovered Jay and Silver away from her. She lived there with her mother and brother, Silver, in the barn for exactly two weeks; then the owners of the barn discovered her and her family. The humans were very surprised because they hadn’t known that Daisy was living in their barn. The people had never had cats as pets and didn’t know what to do with the three cats now in their possession. Assuming Daisy could live in the barn alone and care for herself, they brought Jay and her brother into their house. After a while, Jay and Silver were given to a large family that lived not far from the barn where she was born. Jay and Silver lived happily until two babies were born to the couple. They soon discovered that it was impossible to care for two kittens and two children. Rather than giving the cats to a shelter or another loving family, they placed the siblings in a box lined with a small, worn towel and left them by an old road, hoping that somebody would want to adopt the young cats. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the way the couple had hoped: later that day, a group of teenagers heard the mewling kittens and decided to have some “fun”. They picked the kittens up and commenced to throw them around, cut them, and be mean to them, ignoring Jay and Silver’s cries. After a while, the teenagers got bored and left, throwing the cats off the road and into a deep ditch. Jay fell onto a sharp boulder and slid down it, cutting a long scar into her leg. Silver became terrified and ran off, leaving Jay behind. Jay was delirious for several days until the pain in her leg subsided and she was able to get out of ditch and care for herself. Ever since, she has been terrified of humans and has avoided them whenever she can.
Personality: Jay is unable to sit still. She's always on her feet, bouncing around and waving her tail. For some reason, if Jay sits still for too long, her stomach and head start hurting and she gets nauseous. This has been happening for her whole life, and there's nothing she can do to avoid it except move around. Jay is a chatterbox. The only thing that's good about that is that she's developed the ability to be a great speaker. She loves making speeches and talking, and is a very convincing speaker -- if Jay were human, she'd be a good politician. She also loves telling stories, and knows the right tones and words to use to make her story come to life. Also, Jay talks to herself a lot. She keeps up a constant chatter, whether she's talking to someone else or she's by herself. One of Jay's little quirks is that she nearly always comes up with nicknames for other cats. They could be names that reflect their personality, appearance, or even history -- it doesn't matter to Jay! And once she's come up with a nickname, she'll use it for as long as she knows the cat. It's hard to annoy Jay. She can usually come up with a snappy retort or some way to render your comment ineffective, whether by agreeing with it or by giving a smile and sending you on your way with your tail between your legs. This little cat is a stickler for cleanliness. She loves cleaning, and will go to great lengths to keep her living space neat and organized -- otherwise, it'll bug her to no end. This is one of the few things that she finds annoying about herself, because it means she's constantly straightening and organizing. Jay isn't really scared of anything. If she had to say something the was scared of, though, she'd say the dark. Her "fear" of the dark isn't a fear so much as just a dislike. She'd rather be in a warm den then out under the cold stars.
