Major Huge Massive Announcement (a.k.a read it)

Well, the news table up there is getting a little crowded, and so I thought I'd make one really big announcement to sum up everything that's going on right now around here.

OTM'S.

We may only have a couple active members right now, but please, send in a vote or two? It only takes a second, and everyone REALLY appreciates them! Member, Character, and Thread are all open to suggestions!

THE THREAD CLEANOUT.

It was actually in February when this happened, as per usual, if something was misplaced, just PM Lu or I and it can easily be moved back into active topics.

Secondly, as you also may or may not have noticed - there's been a bit of a clean out around CD. All old threads and inactive members have been archived/deleted and we're really trying to clean things up and get this place in tip-top shape again. It may take a bit before things are back to how amazingly active and smoothly running as they used to be but we'll get there, don't you worry (;

THE MEMBER CLEANOUT.

And this happened in early March- I think we might have to do yet another, since there's a huge gap between members on in the past 24/hrs and members joined. To people surprised they were deleted... Well, if you check the rules:

• You are expected to be active
  
  
• You must log on at least every week.
  
  
• You must post in character at least once a week.
  
  
• By not obeying the above rules you risk having your character and your account possibly deleted. You can also gain warning levels -25% for every month you do not log on though this isn't always exact. Roughly that though. To get the warning removed you must become more active on the site.
  

: Absences :

• If you are going to be absent for more than a week, you must leave a note on the Absences board (a sub-board of the Out-of-Character Extras board). Just let us know when you'll be back approximately.
  
  
• If you're really busy, you should probably leave a note letting us know that you'll be inactive for a while.
  
  
• Notes of absence/inactivity lasting an undetermined amount of time are only good for two months and then you're accounts risk being deleted.
  
  
• That being said, if anyone is going on a trip, per say, for more than two months, that is fine. The above rule is concerning ambiguous notes of absence where members say, for example, just that they'll be inactive/absent for an undetermined amount of time.
  

So, if you've been on in the past week and were deleted, you can be brought back, or if you had left a note. If not, you've got nobody to blame for yourself. Agh, I hate being so harsh, but something has to be done!!

ADVERTISING.

I give up. You can have anything, gold, jewels, points, free dental and medical, ANYTHING if you advertise the site for us. It is so SO important that new members join, I can't stress this part enough.

We may have advertising lots in the path, but chances are that most of the sites from a year ago have closed down and are now no longer visited, and now the new ones being created that we haven't put up an ad on are the ones people will look at if they're trying to find a site too join. We're going to be swept away with all the old, inactive sites if nobody advertises, so please, PLEASE -gets down on hands and knees- ADVERTISE CD!

PLOT.


Here Come The Hounds is now over, thank you to everyone who had fun participating. I don't think we;ll be having another site-wide thing like that for a while yet, so until then, you can focus on mini-plots with other active members. Have fun everyone!
