lol. he can't have 2 mates, you're right. And even if he did that would be kinda....weird.....so...here it is:
opal is very stubborn and defiant. she is very defensive and takes everything seriously. she will always insist that she's right, even if she was proven wrong. it is actually quite annoying, and she won't stop unless you say that she's right. she is quite the person to hold grudges, though, and she can nurse a little grudge for months, its quite amazing. she's defiant in the sense that even if all the stray cats in nenbrook agreed that they should hide from the dogs, she would stick out her jaw and insist that they stay and fight the dogs. She would argue to the death and isn't ever afraid to get in somebody's way, even someone 4x her size.
opal might strike you as a very angry, unpleasant cat at first, but once you get to know her she is a loyal and valuable friend. she will stand up for her friends and beliefs. sometimes she even gets hyper. then she starts bouncing off the walls. it gets annoying a lot, and the only way to stop her is to make her go to sleep, which is almost impossible, or to get her angry, which isn't very good. she is vengeful a lot, but once you prove you're trustworthy again she'll continue her life like it never happened. its not easy to become friends with her. unlike most cats, she has no 'sweet side'. she is either defiant or hyper, and can only make friends with cats who have equal her energy. she has a tendancy to make people hate her and think she is despicable and hadn't been brought up properly. she has little friends, and those who are her friends try to stay on her good side. she barely knows how to fight, yet she is confident in herself and would challenge anyone if they got in her way.
opal is very independent, and would never rely on any cat but herself. she loves nature, and thinks twice before she kills a mouse to eat. she always runs to humans with her tail high. she loves affection from them. she usually stays near humans, to look for steve, although part of her knows that he was probably so sick he would never come back. If she saw a dog, as much as she loved nature, she would probably hiss, spit, and tear it apart, or try to. she's seen what dogs can do to cats and she prefers to live. opal is also a moderately intelligent cat, but you usually don't see that part of her under the outer coat of hyperness and energy. she is extremely good at hunting, which she found out the day that steve let her out into his yard. she is a speedy runner, and sometimes she feels like she's flying. a bad habit she has is licking her nose when she's bored or nervous. she has rubbed a sorespot on her nose from that.
opal loves kittens, and is thinking about having her own someday. she is very afraid of cars, and always freezes when she's on a road and sees a car coming toward her, which is hardly a good thing. she hates hunting in garbages because it messes up her fur. she is very proud of her long, beautiful fur. she is horribly unpersuasive, but she doesn't care about persuading any other cat to do anything, so it isn't much of a problem. she herself is very hard to persuade. you could put the most persuasive cat in nenbrook in front of her and it would hardly sway her. she hates fighting, and wounds, and she used to almost faint at the sight of blood, but she got over it.
opal is very protective over her little friends; she would die for them with no question. she is very dramatic, and tends to make a moutain out of a molehill sometimes. she is horrible at making jokes, so she is usually very serious when she isn't hyper. she loves hunting, and running, and hates going to the city, with loud noises and cars. she likes it better when she meets humans that are out on a walk, or something of the sort, without cars and bright lights, and noises. she is more comfortable during nighttime, when it is cooler, because of her extremely thick, fluffy fur that always keeps her warmer than she needs to be.
