History: She was born at a breeders. She lived there until she was old enough to survive without her mother, when she was bought by and elderly couple. They kept her inside, and let their grandchildren play with her. Overall, she enjoyed the attention and the life. She was named Rain by one of the grandkids, a young boy named Arthur. He named her this because of her habit of sitting by the windows and staring out when it was raining, especially when there was lightning. Beforehand, she had been called kitten. Her mother had not named her, knowing that a human would give her a name. Rain continued to grow into maturity in that house. She gained some insight into humans, as well. She visited the vet only once, to get her rabies shot. Any other medicine was dispensed at home. When she was eight months old, one of her owners, the older woman, passed away. Rain was then put up for adoption or sale, and was brought to her new home within the month. Her new owner was young, single, and had almost no other family to speak of. She also had no experience taking care of a cat. Rain was already litter-trained, but her owner thought she wasn’t. This made for a lot of odd moments, when she would get a treat for going in the litter box. After about a week, her owner got the message and just really left her alone. A few more weeks passed, and then Rain’s owner brought home a new cat. The new cat was very young, just barely old enough to be away from his mother. Rain was shunned by her owner as the new kitten, Hans, got all the attention. Rain eventually grew used to it, but she still felt left out and started doing random acts of vandalism to get attention. She barely, if ever, spoke to the other cat. Her world was being shattered by a small little thing barely old enough to walk. After two months of having Rain do random, destructive acts, Rain’s owner started looking for a new home for her. Nobody came, and Rain stayed in the house. Rain was eventually exiled to the yard when her acts of vandalism went too far. This did not do anything but make Rain feel even more alienated. Eventually, her owner decided to just drop Rain on the side of the road. Personality: Rain has a carefree, lighthearted attitude. She tends not to be too optimistic or cheery, but she tries not to let anything bother her, unless she believes it is very important. She is neither optimistic nor pessimistic, she more of just goes with the flow. She likes to joke around and play tricks on other cats, and will take any tricks on her in stride. Rain is not that good around a large group of cats, though, and hates being in a space with too many at a time. True to her name, she likes being outside when it rains, but a true downpour will get her inside and dry very quickly. Rain can be very fierce if you get on her bad side. Some days, she just wakes up in a bad mood and hates everyone and everything around her. She can be a very bad enemy too have, if you are bad enough to make her angry with you. Since she tends to take things lightly, this takes a lot of work and effort. She will work hard for a goal she believes is right, but likes being lazy when she can. She has had no experience with love, but she believes it is easy, if she finds the right one. Rain has long harbored the very common thought that there is somebody for everybody out there, and that she will sooner or later find that cat. Rain does not get depressed easily, but the death of somebody, or a fight, or something that wounds her or those she loves can get her into the mood. She will fight very hard to protect what she loves, which, at this point in time, isn’t a whole lot. She loves to wander down streets she has never been down before, or out into the fields. She can create a world from what is around her, and she often disappears into that world for hours or days at a time. This helps her tell stories, and lie, because she ahs such an ability, that in her eyes, she is actually changing the world around her. Rain, overall, is a pretty likeable character. Some days, she’s just out of it, and other days, she just wants to fight or be left alone. And still others, she wants to wipe off the entire human population form the earth.
