History: There isn't exactly a perfect start to the life of Tangle. She was born in a hay-loft above a barn, owned by horse-trainer, Wendy. Her mother kept Tangle and her siblings well away from the downstairs, a good choice considering the many horses always in and out of the barn. The kittens grew quickly, and Tangle and her brother Rush, began exploring. It was first, the entire hay-loft. That didn't take long of course, and then they began wondering if they'd be able to go down to the main-floor to explore. Their mother of course, wouldn't let them go under any circumstances, but Tangle and Rush weren't known to give up so easily. The pair recruited their sister, Hail, and their friend Stare.
A day later, the four kits hopped awkwardly down the old stair-case, and slipped into the main-isle. There were several stalls, all with horses in them, but the main-isle was far from the safest place. Two yearlings were cross-tied, but Rush and Tangle hadn't any idea that the horses would hurt them, despite what their mother had said. The pair led the other two through the barn, managing to get past the first horse with ease, but the second was antsy, and quite obviously not looking forward to having kittens run around it. Rush and Tangle ran around the horse, Stare in pursuit, but didn't realize their sibling Hail was still stuck between the two huge figures. Hail had tried to run underneath the second horse, but was blocked by two huge hooves. Hail was kicked out from underneath the horse, sliding all the way back to the stairs they'd used to get down. The three remaining kits rushed around again, panic for their friend and sister getting them all there safely. They're mother had heard the panicked mews of the three kittens and rushed down to see one of her daughters laying limp on the ground. Stare ran up the stairs, leaving Rush and Tangle to deal with their infuriated, and shocked mother. Of course, Stare had his own mother upstairs, but Tangle and Rush had to look their mother in the eye and tell her what happened.
A few months later, when Rush and Tangle were larger, and the farm had been sold to the Crawfords, Tangle and Rush decided to take another trip downstairs. Their mother still wasn't over Hail, and had been grieving long after the normal time. It had turned out almost the exact same thing had happened with the previous litter, but that meant little to Tangle and her brother at the time. Tangle had become quite hot-headed and tempered, while Rush had only become more patient, to have to deal with his sisters irrational behavior. Though, going back downstairs was one thing he could agree on. What the two didn't know, was that the Crawfords had two hunting dogs, that preyed on anything that very well moved, and looked good enough to eat. Once they were downstairs, they went left, and out the doors, instead of through the isle, trying not to make the same mistake as last time. It was when they were outside, and a few yards from the door that the brown dogs noticed them. The dogs had the kittens' scents already, even before they went down the stairs. Rush and Tangle were being stalked from behind, and had no way to get back when they found out the two labs were following them. Rush turned to fight, but Tangle fled, leaving her brother to deal with the two over-sized labs. The she-cat climbed the nearest tree, trying to escape the horror that was about to play before her. Rush was attacked, and being just a kitten, he was easily beaten, his neck snapped. Tangle's mother heard the loud snap and rushed down, only to see the one dog that wasn't eating Rush, face to face with her. Both her mother and her brother died that day, and Tangle was unable to get down from the tree for several days, even after the Crawfords went for vacation and had the dogs kenneled. When she did get down, she left the barn, deciding she'd never go back.
Personality: Tangle isn't average, on a level. She has mood-swings, so often, you might be speaking with her for one moment, and she's hyper and excited about absolutely nothing. The next, she's spitting nails. You never really know with her, because she really does have a mind of her own. She has her good days, when she'll talk to others with a smile, and willingly laugh, but the rest of the time she's head-strong, and hot-headed. Tangle holds onto silly things at times, and really does hate it when she doesn't get a say in decisions. Some say, she never learns after she makes a mistake. Maybe because she made the worse mistake after leaving her brother to fight off the dogs. Tangle also has a terribly hard time to let go of things. Thats why she still hasn't forgiven herself for letting Rush and her mother die.
For a seemingly graceful, and very beautiful cat, Tangle is actually quite clumsy. She can't judge distances very well when it comes to jumping, and she has a hard time balancing when it comes to trees and such. She was made fun of everywhere she went for being the 'clumsy cat.' Although, she'd never really cared what others think, which is a plus. There are days though, that certain things said really get her fuming. Tangle never really thinks about what she's doing, until after she's gone and done it. Though, her mother taught her to be honest, and trust worthy. And that she is. Although, through the mess of her life, she figured out she had a strangle way of knowing how others think. How they function. She can figure out what they want, thanks to her cunning and intelligence, and can get them to get what she wants, due to her 'kitten like' appearances. Or her bite. Tangle is also very curious, but cautious. She is a fierce little cat with a bite to match. She isn't afraid to start a fight where-ever she may be, and tends to have strange out-burts of emotion. Tangle is extremely observant, and alert. Through she has only a year of being feral, she knows the dangers like the barn she was born in. Tangle is also, very prying. Nosy, even. She hates to be on the outside and will do anything she can to figure out what she wants to know.
