Name: Tansy Starshadow Gender: Female Date of Birth: August 10, 2007 Height: 18 centimeters Sexual Preference: Straight Status: Not spayed
Coat Color: Light gray Coat Pattern: Solid Eye Color: Green Fur Length: Long Appearance Extra: Tansy has only one scar. A long gash twists around one of her back legs; a human gave it to her soon after she was abandoned.
History: Tansy’s mother, Daisy, and her father met one spring day and immediately fell in love. When Tansy’s father learned that Daisy was pregnant, he ran away and never returned to her, not wanted to settle down in one place and raise a family. Daisy was heartbroken. She crept into a small barn and lived there, not letting the owners of the barn know she was there. Tansy was born on an unusually hot summer night. Daisy was very nervous and was always trying to keep her kits quiet, knowing that if the humans discovered Tansy and Silver away from her. She lived there with her mother and brother, Silver, in the barn for exactly two weeks; then the owners of the barn discovered her and her family. The humans were very surprised because they hadn’t known that Daisy was living in their barn. The people had never had cats as pets and didn’t know what to do with the three cats now in their possession. Assuming Daisy could live in the barn alone and care for herself, they brought Tansy and her brother into their house. After a while, Tansy and Silver were given to a large family that lived not far from the barn where she was born. Tansy and Silver lived happily until two babies were born to the couple. They soon discovered that it was impossible to care for two kittens and two children. Rather than giving the cats to a shelter or another loving family, they placed the siblings in a box lined with a small, worn towel and left them by an old road, hoping that somebody would want to adopt the young cats. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the way the couple had hoped: later that day, a group of teenagers heard the mewling kittens and decided to have some “fun”. They picked the kittens up and commenced to throw them around, cut them, and be mean to them, ignoring Tansy and Silver’s cries. After a while, the teenagers got bored and left, throwing the cats off the road and into a deep ditch. Tansy fell onto a sharp boulder and slid down it, cutting a long scar into her leg. Silver became terrified and ran off, leaving Tansy behind. Tansy was delirious for several days until the pain in her leg subsided and she was able to get out of ditch and care for herself. Ever since, she has been terrified of humans and has avoided them whenever she can.
Personality: On the outside, Tansy is a very cautious she-cat, but on the inside, she is bursting with energy! Because of her terrifying encounter with humans right after she was abandoned, she stays away from them as much as possible and when a person comes near her, she’ll squeal and run away unless she knows them very well. Tansy is scared of almost everything, not just people. Whenever she goes outside, she trembles at every sound that is not the happy purring of another cat. Although she is scared so much of the time, she has a lot of energy. If she is spending a lot of time with cats she is comfortable with, she’ll begin to bounce around like an ebullient kit. Most of the time, though, her energy is spent consoling herself that she is not in danger at every moment. There are only two things she is not scared of: dogs and other cats. Although she is pretty short and small, she uses her wits and agility to stand up to dogs. She tries to be nice to other cats, but will stand up to them if they try to tease her about her height or numerous fears. She is also very protective of her friends and family and will defend them at all times even if it means facing one of her fears. Tansy treats all kits with so much love and care that you would think they were hers. She loves kits and has always wanted them, but has never had a mate. She has met some toms that she liked, but feels that she will someday find the perfect tomcat for her and hasn’t met him yet. Even if she doesn’t have them, she loves kittens and always wants to play with them or be around them. One of her favorite pastimes is daydreaming about the mate and kits she hopes she will someday have. Part of the reason Tansy loves kits so much is that she likes to take care of all cats. If you are in need or sick, Tansy is the one to go to! She will fuss over you so much that you’ll get sick of her quickly, but you’ll come back to her the next time you’re feeling ill or bad. Her “emotional IQ” is high and she always knows what will make you feel better. Whenever a cat has a problem, they can go to Tansy, who will understand their problem even if no one else can.
