It was night, the bright moon shone over the farm as black pads hit the ground, there was no rhythm to the quiet, almost unbearable steps of the ebony fae as she moved among the strawberry plants. The moon illuminated the reddening skins of the strawberries that grew on the bushes, absorbing the nutrients from the soil that allowed them to grow; without the soil they grew in and the sun whose rays they drank from, the lovely fruits would be unable to grow. The yellow eyes of Eclipse Moonshard almost seemed to glow in the darkness of night that seemed to eat at the world itself. If it wasn’t for those yellow eyes and that unmistakable mark on her forehead, Eclipse would be unable to spot, for her fur was as black as the night itself and she blended in with the shadows.
Stopping in her leisurely walk Eclipse’s eyes slowly rose to the sky above the tilled fields of the pumpkin patch as she eyed the moon and stars. One day she would join those stars; her spirit would be one with them and every other thing on this earth, to be one with every living thing on this planet was Eclipse’s only wish. “I know... That time will come… Someday, when it is time…” She spoke to the wind, her voice soft and mellow, an air of calmness about the words she voice allowed as though she was talking to someone, though no one was there. “Do not scold me, I know I am here for a reason, you do not need to tell me that… I know my time to depart will come, and I know my time on this earth is unfinished…” She muttered in the same calm voice, though the receiver of the words continued to be unseen.
Yellow orbs closed as a gentle breeze blew through, ruffling the fae’s ebony fur. “Hmm…” A soft, almost purring noise sounded from Eclipse’s vocals, she loved the breeze, it was so refreshing and sweet, the breath of angels. Slowly Eclipse’s body bent to the side as she turned to lick a patch of fur back into place, she wasn’t concern about her looks, but messy fur was an annoyance to the ebony femme. As her warm pink tongue touched her own fur a familiar dizziness struck her and she closed her eyes. ‘What could you want to show me now?’ She asked herself as she was sucked into the illusions known as her visions.
In her vision Eclipse saw herself for a moment; she seemed happy, content, before the scene flashed to another, a larger spotted cat, a tom, he was sitting next to her and he, too, seemed happy. As quick as the flashes came, they ended and Eclipse’s eyes opened once more, a familiar sense of exhaustion washing over her but she easily shook it off. Looking back up to the sky Eclipse processed what she had seen, that tom in her vision, she had never seen him before in her life, never a cat like him. “So that was of the future… She muttered softly and sighed, her visions loved to tease her, but the fae knew that it would be sorted out later, and dwelling on it would only bug her. They had both seemed happy, though… Perhaps, a future friend?

I see you lying next to m e
Ivory prickled fur rose up along his spine as a cool wind blew by. Summer was ending, the trees darkening and leaves turning red. Forgotten memories were remembered, the late days in October when all of the kids would run around outside, knocking on each other's houses. The thought of it made him shiver, he had been all alone those days, a kitten stranded in the middle of a forest.
Another breeze brought him back to the present, his orbs focusing in on one leaf pulled along in a gentle sway. He followed it to the ground, walking over to it is it landed. The outside was lined with brown, but the inside was a deep golden yellow. Leaves were so interesting. Like snowflakes, or pawsteps, every single one was different. And as he studdied this one, he found that it was from some giant oak, beside a few stranding pumpkins.
His paws led him there, and he jumped up off his front legs. Placing them on the tree side, he felt the bark, feeling the difference of it from the other trees. It seemed no different at all, but if you really tried, he bet he could find a trance of something.
He blinked the sight away, lurking back to the place he had been seated before. His light blue orbs glowed in the dusky, ambient place. They landed on a serene femme, only the silver outline of her black fur lit by the moonlight revealed her. Her golden yellow optics were the same color as the leaf that lay on the ground not four fox-lengths beyond his unmoving paws.
He was sure that his bleached fur would expose him, if it wasn't for the sudden movement he had just made. Already knowing he must have been potted, he started towards the stunning onyx belle, silent and peaceful as the night itself. With words I thought I'd never s p e a k

For the most part, the presence of the snowy young tom that shared the pumpkin patch with her at the present moment went unnoticed by the ebony feline, but in the back of her mind Eclipse knew he was there, she always knew, that’s why it was impossible to scare the fae. Flicking her ears slightly Eclipse half-listened to the actions of the tom behind her as she continued to watch the moon and stars. She wouldn’t approach the other feline unless she was first addressed; it wasn’t like Eclipse to be anything but unsocial. Closing her lemony eyes Eclipse allowed herself to drift into thought, the world around her seeming to disappear.
Eclipse remembered the lab at which she was born; she had no memories of her mother or father except those that she received through her psychic abilities, she had not known any other felines –or other animals at all for that matter- except the humans that had taken care of her. Eclipse was a lab cat that had been experimented on, however that was her fate, and she didn’t despise it as some would. ‘Because of my history I was given my amazing powers.. It was my fate, and I do not regret the past…’ She thought, wholeheartedly believing in that, however it did not stop her from missing the one person she had ever called a friend. He was a human, but that didn’t bother Eclipse, because every living creature has its own soul, and it’s that soul that determents who are friends and who aren’t.
Eclipse’s eyes opened again as a sound from behind her brought her attention back to reality and her ears flicked back slightly. “Hmm…” The sound came from her almost unwillingly, but she didn’t regret the action in any way. ‘He’s coming…’ A voice in the back of her head told her, the aurora of the tom was not a bad one, there for she had no reason to leave. Standing up Eclipse turned to face the ivory kitten as he drew closer and she gave him a calm smile, her posture was relaxed as it always was and she showed no sign of dominance or threat in any way. “Good evening… I am known as Eclipse Moonshard… You go by Jarrah Eclipsemoon, correct?” She said smoothly and gave a small grin, slightly amused at the similarity in their names.
No, she had never met the young tom before, but she always knew other’s names upon meeting them, it was part of her power… Plus, it was fun to freak them out. Lowering herself to her hunches once again, this time facing the ivory cat Eclipse curled her tail around her front paws and looked at him through half open eyes. “What brings you out this late, Jarrah?” She asked the young tom, the tip of her tail flicking slightly as she watched him for a moment before returning her eyes to the sky and giving a soft, unbearable sigh. She was content and felt no agitation toward the tom that she did not know as most would, she would know if it was time to leave.

I see you from a d i s t a n c eHe was surprised that the femme knew his name, for, not many cats knew him. Maybe she had just heard of me around... He told himself. This cat may be freakier than he realized. She had a strange form of a moon on her forhead, and she always seemed to stare into the sky, and zone out. Jarrah cocked his head to one side in confusion, but turned it upright after awhile. Staring at her didn't seem to be the right thing to do, so he blinked and smiled.
Yeah, that's right. And it sure was, his name was Jarrah Eclipsemoon. The ivory brute took in this beautiful sight of her, Eclipse Moonshard was her name. He almost smiled and giggled at how similar their names were. Bringing up his smile, he showed his teeth, white enough to blend in with his solid fur. Well hello Miss Eclipse. He said the name with a flow, adding an accent on hello.
Jarrah trotted around to get closer to the strange ebony feline. He sat five pawsteps away from her, thinking that he shouldn't get too close to a stranger. But he didn't mind her. Oh, I'm always out this late. Just enjoying the sounds of the night, the glare of the moon. He looked at Eclipse then, wondering what she would say. She seemed like the kin of fae that would like nature; he already guessed that she was close to the moon.
Bring his gaze up to the circular forming moon, he thought about how far it could really be. How long would it take to get there? With a smug look on his face, he looked back at the femme. I've never seen you around here before, 'you new here? And no offense or anything, but what is that thing on your head? Jarrah hoped she wasn't offended. She seemed like such a cool, nice cat, he didn't want to loose her if it was possible to become friends.
There's no possible way for me to forget y o u

Eclipse allowed herself to zone out slightly as she stared up at the sky, waiting for the tom to reply. Eclipse’s tail flicked every now and then as she kept her yellow eyes on the sky. Eclipse often liked to find pictures of the stars; she had heard humans talking about the constellations before in one of the towns she had passed through, and she had learned quite a bit about the pictures in the sky from them and others. ‘To think the stars make lions and bears, humans and other things is a really amazing aspect…’ She thought and sighed, sometimes she really wondered how far away the stars were, they were a mystery, and that’s what made them so exciting. It was mysteries that made things worth doing and looking into, if someone were to know everything, life would be oh so boring. ‘Sometimes I think I know more then I should… But I guess that can’t be helped, and I enjoy knowing what I do’ She thought as she stared unblinkingly at the night sky.
Jarrah’s voice brought the psychic fae back to her senses, causing her eyes to turn back to the tom and she smiled, Jarrah was his name. Giving the tom a small nod as he greeted her she returned it with a small grin and a nod he seemed like a very nice tom, one of the nicer she had met in her time. “It is a pleasure” She spoke softly, her voice never seeming to loose that calm air of mystery to it, matching the aurora that surrounded the ebony fae. Flicking her ears slightly Eclipse allowed her eyes to take in the scene around them, small pumpkins were starting to pop up for the coming fall, and the few remaining strawberries had been left as a feast for the bugs and other creatures that fed off of the things the farmer grew.
Turning her yellow eyes back to Jarrah as he spoke again Eclipse gave a small nod; he didn’t seem to be that much unlike her really, which was a really strange thing to find. “Yes, I much prefer to night over the daytime… Much more peaceful, and I do enjoy watching the moon and stars…” She said softly and smiled, tilting her head to the side slightly as she watched the white tom, almost a hint of curiosity in her gaze. She’d never met another cat even remotely like her so she was interested to get to know this young tom, something that wasn’t stricken with just any cat she met.
As he questioned her about being new here she blinked, a thoughtful look on her face as she thought over it. “Hmm… Sort of” She replied simply before smiling. “I came here awhile ago, but have just been keeping low, I haven’t really met anyone, so it’s not surprising you haven’t seen me before” She said and gave a small nod, satisfied with her answer. As Jarrah asked her about the moon on her forehead Eclipse blinked then giggled. “Oh, it is a marking, you see, I was born and raised in a human lab, and they liked to experiment on me and stuff… Mmm… One of the products they used bleached part of my fur…” She said thoughtfully and tilted her head slightly, kind of looking past the ivory cat.
“It also gave my a power, the radiation that they exposed me too… I am a psychic” She said and grinned slightly, she didn’t mind letting others know about her power, she had no reason to hide it as she had no reason to care what other’s thought about it. “I can see others pasts and futures and stuff… And That’s how I knew your name, too” She said and sighed softly, her ears flicking slightly as another breeze blew through, knocking a couple of leaves off of a nearby tree and blowing them past, one landing on Eclipse’s nose and making her go cross eyed for a moment before it blew off and she giggled slightly. “Hm… There’s a downside of being psychic, though… Most people think your crazy!” She said, grinning and giggling slightly. She certainly wasn’t crazy… At least SHE didn’t think she was crazy, which was all that really mattered to the ebony fae.

Hello i n t r u d e r I can read your m i n d
His orbs almost popped out of his head. Oh my gosh! That's awsome! His voice sounded cool, a mixture of relaxation and excitment. Popping up from his comfortable position, he spread his legs apart and widened his eyes. I don't know why others would say your crazy, that would be awsome being phycic! Settling back down, he moved closer to her, wanting to ask a question that may sound weird to others.
Are you able to read my mind!? In his cerulean optics curiousity flowed out, along with a strang feeling that may have been related to love. He felt close to this cat, although they'd only known each other for the better part of a minute. Focusing in, he tried to think about something that mayb be alittle harder to guess. His history may be a good idea.
Although they were in the pumpkin patch, which was what he was thinking about. Holloween the kids had called it. Nearing the end of the month, where all of the leaves are upon the ground. When snow will begin to fall the next week. Jarrah would trace their steps, follow them around the dry cold night. Except for the short time it rained. He thought about how this cat reminded him of a cat he had befriended. She reminded him of his old aquantance named Sly. Sly had been a strange black cat with golden-green orbs. They'd met on the night called Holloween, in the pumpkin patch. They played all night, tag, hide-and-go-seek, and plenting of others. He remembered the night he left to go home. He was sad to leave his friend, but he knew he had to move on. The following day, he had been out searching for Sly, throughout almost the whole town. He was no where in sight.
Then the thought hit him. He thought about how he would feel if this cat lying beside walked away from him tonight. If he could never see Eclipse again. He immediately fell sad, and wondered if the black femme felt the waves flowing quickly off of him. Turning his stare from the ground to Eclipse's mask, he blinked slowly, and cute smile breaking across his own face.
So? He wondered if she could tell when he was about to speak just then. It didn't seem to surprise her, even cause her to flinch, or at least it seemed like it. Cou-could you acually read my mind, or not? More curiousity flowed off of him, along with something like caution. The thought of being able to read others minds, aand feel the electric flows seemed cool, but at the same point it would make sence for others to think weirdly about you.
While waiting for her response, he groomed his paws, then his chest, followed by his shoulders and tail. Just a quick groom, he didn't want to look janky and stupid, more like nice and clean. He returned the gaze to her optics, the yellow-green shining in the midnight darkness. Her fur wasn't even visable except for the outline provided by the moon. The cresent on her forhead was bright, taking in all the light from the stars and the moon; it lit up her face like a fire in a cave. Jarrah wondered to himself if she counted as a friend yet. He hoped silently to himself that Eclipse liked him, or at least didn't think he was weird or mean.

Eclipse blinked at the young tom’s sudden outburst, staring at him momentarily before letting out a soft giggle, he seemed to think her powers were cool, instead of just thinking her crazy for believing she had powers they couldn’t even dream of. But Eclipse never really cared what others thought of her, because she knew she was worth being there, and just because a couple of jerks thought she wasn’t worth being around, didn’t mean it was true. “I suppose people label me as crazy and insult me is because I am different, and it scares them… But I do not let it bother me, because they are the last ones whose opinions should count” She said and gave a shrug of her shoulders, a slow, almost graceful motion of the ebony cat’s body.
As Jarrah asked if she could read minds Eclipse gave him a thoughtful look before nodding slightly. “I might be able too… I can sometimes know what others are thinking, but I am not always right” She said and blinked slowly, watching the younger feline as he looked at her curiously, it was rare for Eclipse to find one that wanted to know about her, instead of just shunning her. ‘Jarrah is different from other’s I’ve met before… His aurora is older then his body… He has an older soul, and wise soul, he just needs to believe in it more…’ She thought and smiled slightly, he seemed to have really become attached to her in a short time and likewise. Perhaps, they really had known each other in another life? Who knows really.
Turning her attention back to the ivory cat that sat in front of her Eclipse closed her eyes half way and allowed herself to take in the vibe that she got from his thoughts. Halloween, one night Eclipse had always liked that night, as it was one of the nights of the year when the spirits were most powerful, Eclipse could sometimes see ghosts those nights, and not just the ones the humans put up, either. Eclipse could tell Jarrah was thinking of another cat, an old friend it seemed, Sly? Yes, that was the name. The thoughts were happy as he remembered the games they played the night, but then they turned sad and a small smiled spread across her lips, her eyes lifting from the young tom up to the sky again.
As Jarrah spoke again Eclipse nodded slightly. “Friends never really leave as long as you keep them in your heart… For as long as you remember them, they will be there” She said and smiled as she looked back at him and flicked her ears slightly, watching him groom himself. “His name was Sly, right?” She said and grinned slightly, flicking her tail a little. “I always get vibes from others thoughts and feelings, and the only thing I really seem to be able to pinpoint are names… My ability is limited, but it does allow me to know who are true friends… And who are just using you…” She said coolly and shrugged slightly, there were things she liked about her ability, and things she didn’t, but for the most part, she embraced what she was able to know and just hoped others could learn to understand.
Flicking her ears slightly Eclipse smiled a little. “But, you do not have to worry about me leaving you, because I know if someone is looking for me… And for a friend, I will always be there when I am needed most” She said and grinned slightly. Yes, she considered Jarrah a friend even though they had known each other just a short time, they had a connection, a rare one that Eclipse was sure would allow their friendship to grow. Like her’s and Max’s had when she was younger, Eclipse had never met anyone she could even compare to Max’s friendship, but perhaps this place, Nenbrook, would be where Eclipse would truly recover from her past scars, make new friends and learn to live for the moment, instead of in the past.

Jarrah The ivory one with cerulean eyes Another smile spread across his face as he heard Eclipse start speakking again. As she spoke, he realized that she could read his mind, but it wasn't like readin it and hearing his exact thoughts, it was more like hearing names, and feeling waves. She'd brought up something about never loosing friends you'd met, always with them in your heart. Jarrah trusted her, so he beleived that saying.
Yeah, Sly's right. He reminded me of you... only alittle bit though. He ended his sentance quickly, wondering if it would be odd relating her to one of his old tom friends. He was black, smallish, and quiet. He was very calm, kinda eccentric in his own way. He sighed deeply, remembering his old friend hurt his heart, although he thought he felt a bit of joy. As if Sly was standing right along side him, standing in his pawsteps.
I'm glad you not leaving, you're really cool. He smiled just then, he felt as if they could be friends forever, even though they hasd just met. Almost stiffling a laugh, he smiled up at her. She seemed so much older than him, but really, she wasn't.
Do you like to play? Before waaiting for her answer, he wriggled his rump in the air, and his paws crashed down onto the grassy floor. Taking off in Ecllipse's direction two seconds after the quistion, he tackled her. He pawed at her face, but his claws were sheathed. Jarrah rolled her over, his white fur and her black blurring into a crazy mess of sketching.
A giggle escaped him, and he closed his eyes. He had laughed so much, his stumach was hurting. Trying to calm himself down, he took a deep breath and rolled off his friend. One last laugh sounded before the next game began. Taking his paw, he tapped Eclipse on the shoulder, he dashed away, saying Tag, your it! As he did so.
Darting for the closest tree, and dodging the remaining pumpkins, her clawed his way around. When he was a tail-length away from the birch tree, he jumped up, catching himself on the second branch. With his strong forlegs, he pulled himself up, his hindlegs dangling. He swung himself up, waiting for the femme to chase after him. He hoped she liked to play, and he hoped that he wasn't embarasing himself.
[oh my god, i am SOOO SOOO sorry! I totaly forgot that I hadn't finished this post! I'll make it up to you! I promise!!!] Mod's Edit on 6th Janurary: This thread has been archieved due to inactivity. We'll presume the following happened: They chatted and played for a few more minutes and then left to find food.
