History:
Opal was born to Crystal and Ebon Ravenfeather in the home of a lovely human female by the name of Rebecca. Opal had 4 litter-mates and was the second youngest of them all; the runt of the litter, her sister and opposite, her personal shadow everywhere she went. Her parents were protective of the four of them for quite sometime and then she noticed that the second oldest, her lone brother, went missing one day. Next was her oldest sister. She asked about it to her parents and they looked to each other sadly before they explained that they had had a litter before and this same thing had happened, the human taking their kits away one by one to other human families. Opal was heartbroken that she would never see her brother or sister again, and soon the time came when she was adopted into a new home.
Placed into a carrier she was very frightened, the night they took her was a cold and stormy one and soon she found herself in a home with new smells and different people. The smallest human was her favorite and after awhile she loved to shadow her new master, curling around her legs when she stood in the kitchen and bounding up into her lap or on her chest when she was sitting or laying down. She didn't like the larger humans very well, and was mostly indifferent to them since the male didn't pay her any mind except to shoo her when she curled in his 'claimed' armchair or when she happened to be in his way. The large female would pet her sometimes, and was the one to feed her so she appreciated this woman for that aspect, though for really nothing more. The little one was her most favorite.
She had been given a collar that was a dark blue to match her eyes, a small ball on the front that made high pitched jingling when she walked and even though it was a nuisance at first she got used to it; it had been a present from her little master. Over the course of a year she waited for the small female to come home from where she went almost every day, sniffing at the pack that she would drop on the bed next to her every time. Wondering of the curious smells of food, and objects that she hadn't come in contact with. Then Opal would keep the young master, who she had learned by this time to be Tina from the larger humans, company when she did things around the house and finally settle into the cat bed at the end of her young masters bed.
Things started to change one day when Opal noticed the larger humans packing things away in large brown boxes, curious orbs dancing as she usually watched from atop the couch or window sill as they started to stay home more often than they usually did. Opal didn't pay it any mind until one night Tina was called out of the room and told Opal to stay in the room, not minding the female curled up onto the girls pillow and waited. She didn't have to wait long as her young master flew into the room and slammed the door which made Opal's head pop up from it's perch upon her paws. She stood as her young master came over, distraught as water came from her orbs and as she picked up the feline and cradled her to her chest. Opal immediately began to purr, nuzzling her masters face with her own to try and comfort her, wondering what was wrong. Her young master spoke to her in an upset tone but the feline didn't understand much besides a few words that came from the girls mouth. She just hoped everything would be alright.
But everything wouldn't be.
A couple weeks later she was made to go into the carrying case and Opal curled into the back corner as she figured they were going to see the man in white that soothed aches - though she didn't feel bad so she didn't quite know what was going on. Her master was upset again in the humans contraption that made a lot of noise, and since her carrier was sitting next to Tina she tried to reach out with a paw and comfort her master. Though Tina wouldn't look at her which made Opal mew and paw at her more until the girl finally took her out and cradled her against her chest once more like that one night. Opal began to get nervous as she felt the car stop and the human male turned from the front to say something about Opal to Tina. Her master began to get more upset which just made Opal more confused until she felt a hand grab her by teh scruff of the neck and pull her up, curling her body up this was nothing like how she had been carried around as she yowled and lashed out at the males arm. She felt herself be thrown a distance, her natural cat instincts let her body twist as she landed on all fours, the ground she landed on wet and cold as she shook herself, the pain in her neck slightly subsided. Her head snapped up as she then heard the humans contraption start to move and Opal's eyes widened as she chased after it, ran and ran until her lungs hurt in her chest as she slowed to gradually come to a halt. Sitting back on her haunches she hung her head as she let her breath catch up with her. Looking up she barely saw the red eyes of the humans machine disappearing.
Tina would come back, she knew she would, Opal said to herself in her mind. Though at the same time her whiskers drooped and her ears fell back a little as a hard truth hit her that she remembered her parents saying, 'Be good to your new owner .. or they might get rid of you and put you outside somewhere.' She didn't want to believe it ... but at the same time there was no other explanation.
She was now a stray.

Personality:
Opal is sometimes a hard one to figure out, although on the other hand she can be quite forward about she feels and thinks if you catch her in the right mood for the occasion. She was confused as to why she was left behind, though she only blamed the large male human and blamed his pompous self as to why she was thrown out, her little master would have never done such a thing to her, and she knew this. Though casting off her collar that marked her as domestic, she changed her gait to this new lifestyle without so much as a slight falter of a newborn taking it's first steps on wobbly legs.
She wasn't going to go out of her way to greet others she saw, and more saw fit to focus on herself and surviving since no one was going to look out for herself except herself. This didn't mean she didn't like to be given a little help and wasn't nasty about accepting it, but she didn't want to be babied and treated like she couldn't do exactly what the next feline could. She was strong and pretty skilled about catching mice and smaller prey, not really needing to target anything bigger that the small rodents for she only fed one belly at this point in her life.
Opal, first arriving in Nenbrook, has been indifferent to most though in a slightly darker mood having been abandoned. She isn't exactly the ray of sunshine she used to be, mostly having feelings of bitterness towards males. Non-purposefully though, as she holds an grudge against the male populous thinking they think themselves higher or better than females and what they say goes. If it were there was a group, or tribe of some sorts, that she would belong to, she would always respect males to her ... best ability. Though degrading remarks would earn a hissed response from this she-cat; she didn't think anyone who acted below her deserved respect as if they were higher.
If she ever were to find a mate he would have to see her on the same level, and respect her for her faults and achievements - no matter if she was better at something or vice versa, she wasn't going to have some male degrade her. Kittens were another matter. She didn't see herself having kittens although secretly, she would love to have a litter of her own, and would die to protect any one of them. She would not have them taken away from her as she was from her parents.
To sum it all up, she dislikes males for the majority of situations makes her think so and is indifferent to most others. A fast learner she has become quite good at hunting and if a human were to try and get her she would only run. She only had one master and she was planning on keeping it that way even though if a human were about she liked to people watch and see what different large humans did.
