I've become what a mother [wouldn't] want in a son
Reserved for Haven Frozenpool
The white fur stood out against the contrast of the brown and golden leaves. It was coming into autumn, not her favorite season but she didn't hate any of them. At least she didn't remember hating any of them.
Moon was stretched out on top of the chicken hut, and the stupid birds had no clue she was even there. She had decided to visit the place because she felt that she could never hide from her fears, and just because she had been attacked here by those dogs didn't mean she should have to stop coming here. She would go where ever she wanted to- and if Moon wanted to come here, nothing would stop her, not even those fearful memories.
Now she was sitting there, just thinking. There were quite a few things going through her head now- She was sort of having a conversation. With herself.
I wonder what ever happened to my family. I mean ever since I was taken out of that awful place and began living with the old lady, Fon and the others were sort of like my family. But then I had to leave them too. And now I'm sitting here, all alone. Again. She sighed.
Idiot, what are you sighing about! I bet your siblings have it much worse than you do out here! you're free! Whats wrong with you!
You're the idiot! I'm sitting here, and I have no idea where all my friends are! I've made enemies with one of the most dangerous species that live in this forest! And I have no family!
How can you possibly think like that? The world is your family! you're never alone! Those chickens down there are your family, for crying out loud! You really are silly, Moon. Crazy kitten.
Who are you calling a crazy kitten! She paused for a second, licking her lips. Uh, guess I'm calling myself a crazy kitten. she thought dismissively, bringing her tail over her nose and curling up. It had gotten slightly darker, and colder too. She remembered now- she really hated autumn last time she experienced it. So cold- and now she was sitting here, freezing, alone, talking to herself.
Pshh, where's Juniper when you need her? She thought, bringing her tongue over her shoulder.
This sucks.
And I have done a few things I [regret]

Keeping his every step steady and equally paced, a shiver ran down his pure whit pelt. Autumn was setting in and not long after that would be winter. Haven grinned at the thought. It was odd, the way Haven's mind worked. He never was fond of autumn but he loved winter.
Autumn was like the shock of cold disturbing his comfort of summer, just the fact that it was always the season to ruin the fun. The only good thing about the season was that it got you ready for winter, the season to cuddle. Grinning softly as he pranced now through the thinning trees, he would love the company of a female cat during this winter. Last winter he was stuck in a human home...rotting.
"Humanssss" He spat at the thought. Humans had put him to death, or at least tried to. And it was their fault he was now plagued with the limp on his hind leg. The pain from it was usually random and hard to expect, but Haven moved on and never cwelled on a hated past. This place, these cats, this forest was his future. Mreowing with unexplained joy, he opened his muzzle slightly to tatse a few scents that twirled around him. 'Chickens' Haven thought and looked up through the trees to see the slight red roof of a barn.
Now dashing through the forest he caught another scent...a cat. 'A she-cat...this must be my lucky day. Time to work my charm' The scent was a bit familiar though and as he found his way out of the trees he slowed to a trot onto the soft soiled land.
Peering around at the landscape, he caught a glimpse of near-by chickencoop. And on top was a white cat. Squinting his ruby red eyes he examined the lying female's body. Moving his pale pink paws silently toward the coop he stopped and widened his eyes. With a grin placed smoothly on his face he steadied himself onto the ground and launched himself onto the coop. "Well, well, well what's got pretty, little Moon down in the dumps, huh?" He walked toward her and caught a glimpse of her shivering body.
With his eyes filling in with concern for the white cat, he moved in next to her and layed down. Tucking his paws beneath his chest and making sure his warm fur touched hers, he looked out into the distance. "Remember me?" Haven mewed questioningly.
He wasn't trying to make a move on Moon at all, if anything he was concerned for her...and yet he had no clue why. 'Maybe I'm just that nice of a cat' he smiled to himself, laughing at his inside joke. Turning to Moon now, he stared into her unusual purple eyes.

The inside lingo had me at h e l l o
"Well, well, well what's got pretty, little Moon down in the dumps, huh?"
Moon's head shot up, and her tail whoooshed over her once again after another tremor shook her frail frame. She looked up into the scarlet eyes of the newcomer, and instantly recognized him as Haven, from Bell Mountains. Giving a weak smile, she sighed, and another wave of shivering left her tensed up in the cold.
One thing she had in common with Haven; She loved the winter, hated the fall. In winter, it felt like she finally fit in the world, white like the snow, where the violet eyes stood out in such deep contrast that sometimes people could get lost in them. But by then she would be long gone, following a ladybug or something like that.
Concern flashed in the lovely crimson eyes and she smiled, genuinely now, glad that at least someone was here,, even if she didn't know them too well. And she couldn't help the purr that escaped her maw when he sat down beside her, sharing some of the warmth he was carrying. It was tough being a white cat- you stood out like wildfire, and you didn't attract the sun's attention like the black cats did.
Then again, she and Haven had an unusual amount of things in common. they both carried the burden of the white fur that just wasn't meant to hunt in the wild, and the unusual eye color they both had always managed to make her sad. On one hand, she loved being unique, and many people loved her purple eyes, but on another, she had lost quite a few friends because of the plum orbs. even family had rejected her because of them.
"Remember me?"
At this she closed her eyes, and purred. The vibration managed to warm her up a little, too.
'But of course, Haven Frozenpool. But I guess I'm just feeling kinda lonely. Guess I can smile now that you're here though.'
She told him with a smile. She wasn't flirty, but she was gravitating towards him for some reason. She had stopped shivering thanks to him, and now she was looking right the red eyes that seemed so similar to hers. Not only that, but they were somehow nostalgic, so it didn't surprise her when she suddenly remembered something from her childhood. Maybe that's why she was automatically leaning towards him- she just felt a connection because they had a lot in common.
'You know,'
She began uncertainly, squinting as she tried to bring up the foggy memory.
'You're not the only red-eyed cat I've met. I actually had a brother your very same face. He was really nice to me, even though my other siblings mostly ignored us because of our strange eyes, so we had to stick together. It didn't matter much though, I barely remember him, and I never really got to know him... because after a few weeks I was bought up by an old lady called... Old Lady, haha. Guess I never really figured out her name, she never really got many visitors and they just called her Miss if she used the phone to get food and they dropped it off at the door. People have called me that too thought, so I know it's not a name.'
She finished thoughtfully, looking at the gray sky sadly. then she threw a smile on her face, trying not to bring him down.
'I'm sorry, I'm not really usually like this, but autumn never fails to bring down my mood a few notches. I'll shake it off, I promise.'
Moon told Haven, licking her paw and bringing it over her ear.
'But you could be his twi or something! Maybe that's why... I dunno, you're just jogging some childhood memories or something. S'just that last time I saw you we were with all of those other people. I'm sorry, I'm probably rambling.'
She confessed, her skin warming up as she blushed. But she was beginning to warm up despite the cold weather. Maybe it was because of his warm eyes that she couldn't help warming up to. She hardly knew him and he almost felt like... brother to her.
OOC: But she was always weird like that. Jk. Lol kinda cliche ending to the thread, huh? Ahaha! Reminds me of Austin Powers for some reason o_0 guess I'm just weird like that xD
