Though life may lead you were you least expect… A grunt escaped the well groomed Siamese as he began to come to from his medical induced sleep. He had been saved from being put down by a woman at the shelter and brought here. It had been several months since Basil had been in the wild, felt the wind in his fur and been out of that disgusting cage they’d kept him and the other cats in. Blinking a few times to clear his vision Basil sat up and glanced around. ‘ Where am I…?’ He wondered and gulped, still highly dazed from the medication. Pulling himself to his feet Basil wobbled and fell back down, groaning. ‘ Dang…’ Sighing Basil glanced around again and sat up, he felt dizzy and disoriented. ‘ The last thing I remember was being forced onto a table by that horrible man at the shelter and having something put on my face and now this…’ He thought as he cleaned the dirt out of his pelt. On the plus side, Basil was no longer trapped in a cage and controlled by humans, but on the minus side, he had no clue where he was, nor was there anyone around to ask. ‘ I wonder if there are other cats here… There’s a human road so I know humans are nearby…’ He thought and winced slightly as he stood and stretched, his joints were stiff as he must have been sleeping for a long time. ‘ Now, I need to find someone to ask where I am…’ He thought and began to walk, a little wobbly and drunk like at first, but he quickly got his steady feet as he made his way along the road. After walking for a short time Basil’s stomach gave a low rumble and he stopped, blinking. ‘ When was the last time I ate that junk they feed you at the shelter?’ The Siamese wondered and sighed, he couldn’t remember his last meal, though that was probably a good thing considering the fattening stuff they’d fed him for the last half a year. Running his tongue over his maw slowly Basil glanced around, wondering if he could find a nice mouse, or road kill would work even. He sighed; nothing. ‘ Well, might as well keep going, I’ll have to find something or someone eventually’ He thought with a carefree shrug before continuing down the side of the road. He was planning on walking until something caught his eye, what batter way was there to do it? You can have faith that it's where you were meant to be.

And it’s not my fault 'cause you both deserve What is coming now so don’t say a word 'This is the third time I've been here.' The thoughts of a lonely rare male calico trailed off like dust in the wind as he patted down an old broken path. It was times like this, the calico feline often wondered why he was here? Had he done something to deserve this? He wasn't sure if this new life he was living now was a blessing or a curse. Loneliness didn't become of him. He had been surrounded by others all his life now suddenly everyone was gone. As a kitten he had his parents and siblings. As an ally cat he had Whiskers, now as a stray he had no one. He didn't do anything wrong, it wasn't his fault the things happened the way they did.
Slowly the calico tom closed his emerald green orbs and shook his head. He felt so, misguided at the moment. Confused if you would. After leaving Osprey at the river, helping save kittens from two dogs. He had a real nice adventure here as a stray. However, he felt imcomplete. Maybe he was missing that special someone? 'Haha, don't even joke.' He frowned sure he wanted to fall in love and start a family but was love really for him? He'd never loved anyone before. The closest he came to loving someone was his family and Whiskers, but he was almost family and family was unconditional love. It wasn't the same.
Sighing deeping outwards the calico tom shook the nasty thoughts from his mind. Flicking his different colored rims the calico spotted a cream colored feline with patches of black and brown around his fur. He smiled slightly, this was the first time he'd seen a Siamese cat, he heard they wheren't nothing special but you never knew until you got a friend hand--or paw--look, right? Scretching his legs and rolling his tongue into a wide yawn the calico trotted over to the Siamese.
Licking his fine black lips the calico smiled to the tom. "Hey," He cooled in an even tone. Neither excited nor dull it was nuterel. Monotone if you would. "Having seen you around before. You're new right?" He evenly smoothed out with a soft question which was obviously already answered. Nice cool start to a conversation. "Name's Twilight, Twilight Spitfire." He said flashing the Siamese a friendly grin. He enjoyed meeting new cats and like the wind blew away a storm the calico's dry mood was lifted. Wake Up Call - Maroon 5

Basil had been walking for some time before the sound of another approaching caught his attention. Putting on a charming grin the Siamese turned to face the approaching Calico. Bowing to the tom Basil gave a small nod of greeting. “Good day to you, sir” He said smoothly, greeting the Calico before sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. Basil’s posture was flawless as always, giving him a statued, proud, confidant look. It was the way he had been taught when he was younger and something he’d never grown out of as he got older. The male spoke next about him being new here and Basil gave a nod, he was new here, and quite glad to see another friendly cat about, he had a few questions to ask, including where he was.
The tom introduced himself and Basil dipped his head again. “I go by Basil, Basil Steelbloom, I’m a multiple ribbon winner for best in show” He said with a grin before his expression turned serious. “Don’t go judging me yet, however, I’m more then capable of looking after and hunting for myself” He said with a soft chuckle and a sigh. “Now, a handsome young tom like yourself wouldn’t be too busy to help an old lost show cat now would he?” Basil asked, giving Twilight another one of his charming grins. “You see, I was dropped off here by someone from the shelter where they’ve been keeping me… And, to be frank, I have no clue where I am” He said with a sigh, hoping the Calico would have the heart to help the poor lost tom.
Clearing his throat slightly Basil smiled at Twilight and flicked his tail slightly. “I’ve grown quite hungry as well, if you have any suggestions for a hunting place” He added after a quick moment as his stomach gave another soft rumble, reminding him of his hunger. Giving a soft sigh Basil’s bright blue orbs slowly lifted to the skies, he was glad to be away from the humans finally, this was his big chance to start a new life; he had nothing but regret in his past. ‘Yeah… A new life’ He thought with a small smile, turning his attention back to the Calico.
“You really do have a gorgeous pelt, you’re a calico aren’t you? I’ve seen some pretty calicos in my lifetime, but I have to say you measure up to some of the best” Basil said with a chuckle, flicking his ears slightly. “Especially for a tom, males are rare in your breed, aren’t they?” He added with a small grin, he wasn’t trying to butter the male up, even though it may have seemed such. Everything Basil said was true, having been to many cat shows the Siamese had seen many of the most gorgeous cats in the world. And Basil could tell that with a little grooming, Twilight could hold his ground to some of the best, even if he wasn’t pure bred.

Amid the rustling wind, the light around me makes a sound that slips through my memory. There's a temptation I certainly hadn't expected would be so incomprehensible: Bowing, the Siamese tom looked at Twilight with a charming grin. Smiling friendly, the calico dipped his head back in a short soft of bow like nod. The tom was polite, which told the feline he was used to others very well. Twilight knew from experiance not a lot of house cats liked strays that much. That, or they where afraid of strays. He watched the tom before him curl his dark brown almost black tail around his paws. It made Twilight think about his own tailless rump. He subcontiously flicked the little nob that was there, he had always wondered what it was like to have a full grown out tail. However, he was proud of his small tail, it just made him all the more unique.
The Siamese tom introduced himself as Basil Steelbloom. Twix smiled and nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Basil." He commented, before his different colored rims flicked up, listening to the Siamese speak of himself. 'A show cat huh? Explains why he's used to other cats and well mannered.' He thought to himself licking his lips, he thought of the times Jesse talked about wanting to enter him in shows. Twilight would be lying if he said he wasn't interested in being in show. He had to admit, it did sound interesting and fun. It also would have gave him the chance to meet other cool cats like himself.
He further listened to the male cat speak he couldn't help but chuckle. It was obvious he was either flirting with him or trying to butter him up. 'Well he doesn't need to go so far out, I'm here to help either way.' He thought to himself, licking his lips. "I don't have a problem showing you around, I wander here from time to time to help out new strays." He smiled to the Siamese tom. "You're no exception my good friend." He laughed softly, Twilight wasn't bias when it came to others. He didn't judge before getting to know like some did.
"You're at a place called Nenbrook, it's a small town with lost of open area. You'd say we lived out in the country if you would." The calico tom explained to the Siamese as he said he didn't know where he was. So far, Twilight had no complains about this place, it was a nice town with little humans, and a lot of area to run around in. Claiming he was hungry the calico tom smiled and nodded. "There are plenty of places to get food at, we have the dump, and ally ways in town, then a river and fisher's park good for fishing then other various places like woods and a pumpkin patch." He informed him, thinking of the places he had been to. He had only been to a few places, not everywhere. Such as the barn, he had yet to step paw there. 'I should go there sometime.' He thought mentally, food wouldn't be a problem to find on a farm like that.
He looked at the Siamese before him, and smiled slightly. So this was a Saimese cat. He had never met one before or seen one up close. Thought, from pictures he had seen he thought Siamese where a lot skinner. 'Maybe he's a half-bred?' He thought flicking his ears slightly before the tom before he spoke. Twilight couldn't help but laugh. "Yes, I am a calico. Males are indeed rare in my breed, thought I am not a full bred calico." He told the Siamese before him licking his lips. He never thought about it, he was indeed rare. He remembered Heather mentioning to Jesse to sell him. He was worth a lot of money being very rare.
Licking his lips again he shook his head, before turning back to the Siamese and continued. "My father was a solid black tom and my mother was a calico, only myself and my sister, Starlight where calicos the rest where solid black." He added with a small smile. He missed his siblings, Starlight was also tailless like himself. However he knew it to be common in calicos. He was a pretty unique cat, being a calico, a male at that. Tailless and had bright emerald orbs. 'They should have sold me.' He thought thinking about Jesse's family, they where poor and if they sold him they would have been able to live better.
your pace, with your heart thrown into turmoil. The night where nothing can be held back has passed for us. Its yet-unseen conclusion is still an illusion. Blind Game Again - Bad Luck (Gravitation soundtrack)
