The heat probably would’ve been unbearable if not for the fact that a few friendly breezes were always brushing by. The feline sitting at the side of the road gave a quiet thanks to whatever drove those little lifesavers along. The light breeze that gusted by now was soothing against her warm fur and cooled the bruises that had started to throb once more. Daisy closed her eyes, relaxing in the midst of nowhere.
Yes, she didn’t know where she was or even how she got there. But there was no point in flipping out as of now. Of course, the first few moments she had discovered her dilemma she had freaked out for a second. However, in that small moment she had started running around and was almost run over by one of those gigantic human contraptions. Yup, it was best just to keep a cool head.
She sighed, slinking into the shadow of a nearby building and curling up. Besides her name, everything was a little foggy and it was utterly irritating. If she focused really hard then she could sort of recall images of the night and, in the background, dogs barking. However, Daisy couldn’t figure much from that so hopefully that whole thing was just a bad dream. But...if only there was something tangible that she remembered. Just something that could reassure her in some way, even just the slightest thing. For example, why was she stiff and bruised all over? Yet she knew that if she remembered something else, as with her name, she would only be plagued with more questions. For example, why was she named “Daisy Bluebreeze?” She didn’t look like a flower or anything. There seemed to be no way to win over her rapidly growing worries.
‘Whoa, Daisy,’ She said silently, interrupting the parade of questions, ‘You already told yourself that you weren’t going to get depressed so snap out of it. Seriously...’ The she-cat glanced about the unfamiliar place. ‘You’re not in danger. There aren’t any humans or dogs about at the moment. You could start anew here and make some memories this way. Wherever...”here” is.’ Daisy took in a deep breath, resolving to make things better. If only she knew where to start.

The weather indeed bothered him much, his long coat wasn't the best for this type of condition out here. He kept trotting all the same on the edge of the path, bushy fluffy tail whipped into the air out of his way as he felt the cool breeze brush through his fine wavy locks, now that felt nice, and it was the only way in which could cool him down without literally cooking. His ears twitched occasionally to pick up distant sounds, his legs kept him going although almost every part of the feline ached and he longed for water so desperately to satisfy his thirst.
He had not seen a single morsel or source of life ever since he started his travels, but he was glad to of left his past behind him, and something within his mind and heart that this new place would hold good and new adventures he'd so endure, as well as bad ones and difficult times, but that was life, and this teenager knew he wasn't the only one in the world which would have to go through these, and come to think of it, he had not seen a single cat ever since he left, and through the entire travel down this long winding path.
The most slender tom held such a unique coat, he was skinny, as in healthy, very healthy, but the designs on his coat were so unnatural from any other, as well as the sort of medium to longish fine hairs which made him look so gorgeous, yet he didn't believe it, Bailey just felt like any other cat, although he was two breeds mixed in together, a Tabby and a Maine Coon, that was where he got the fine coat from as well as the long fur and body structure, although he was smaller than other cats, it didn't bother him to a content, rather, he enjoyed being slender and skinny, an advantage of crawling through gaps.
His golden orbs darted left to only notice more trees, yet as he glanced to his right, there was a building, and luckily, a deep patch of shade! With satisfaction and a wide smile, the young tom ran amazingly fast for his build towards it, yet slowed down as his nose picked up the aroma of another nearby, a cat. Finally! Bailey made his way quite smoothly before finally seeing her within the shades, tail flicked high and a most eccentric smile along his maw the teen made his way over. "Hi there!" his calm tone in voice before he slowed down to a walk, and finally settling a little distance away.
"My names Bailey. Bailey Longcut. What's yours?" Sure he held confidence, Bailey had a lot of that, just to go straight up to someone and greet, he was just polite and it was his style and manners, it was what made him unique, as well as a most trusting and earning friend.

Priorities were usually food and shelter, right? Well, mostly food as shelter could be found almost anywhere and Daisy wasn’t exactly picky. The feline inhaled, recognizing the scents of human contraptions, trash, and all other sorts of things. However, she didn’t pick up anything that seemed edible. Sighing, the she-cat let her head rest upon her paws. ‘At least I’m not hungry right now,’ She reminded herself, determined not to get down.
Minutes passed as the silver furred cat lay there, contemplating her next choices. In the end, she decided to just try and scent some food again. She took a deep whiff of everything, instantly recognizing everything she had smelled before. However, this time there was a different odor about. It wasn’t food and the scent was growing stronger by the second--oh, a feline! Daisy got to her paws, curious as to who this stranger was.
The cat was a young tabby with hazel eyes and an odd but not unfriendly smile. The she-cat smiled in return, sitting down as the tom drew closer. “Hello,” She replied warmly, wanting to get on good terms with the residents of this place, “I’m Daisy Bluebreeze, Bailey. Nice to meet you.” She dipped her head before continuing, “Do you know where this place is?”
Naturally, she was curious as to where she would be living from here on out. Hopefully it was a good neighborhood. {{Short post. >>; And Kel, if you still want to join in then please do~!}}

“Hello,” His tail twitched as he studied her, she had a pretty design too, and unique eyes, the bright blue seemed to stand out a lot. “I’m Daisy Bluebreeze, Bailey. Nice to meet you.” He liked her name, Daisy, he found it suited her. “Do you know where this place is?” He thought for a moment, his ear flicked again before his really long and bushy tail coiled around his legs for comfort. Bailey was proud to have greeted her, it would be a new friend on his travels, or in which he hoped her to be, if she so desired.
Amazingly, he read many signs on his way down here. "I believe we are in Nenbrook, leading to Silvercrest Woods." He was quite proud of what he knew, for this cat held much intelligent for his young age. He turned his head to look down the path before standing. "Care to walk together?" His voice warm as well as his smile, he would enjoy a walk with his new acquaintance, it would be nice to get to know her. His tail twitched as he pondered on her answer. He watched her quietly unsure if she wanted to walk, and unsure how long she'd been resting here.
Bailey was unlike any other cat, although he knew his muscles ached, something inside him burnt up, telling him to keep going as there was going to be something good at the end of the road, something which he knew he would get or needed. To him, where he sat now was the end of the road as he had just met a new cat, and a female, and Bailey never did usually made good first impressions, and he was quite proud right now and how she wasn't scared or run away from him.
Maybe this would take a good turn after all, and his response was a charming smile and twitching tail, giving signs of his joy.

She tilted her head, watching Bailey carefully. All his actions denoted a friendly, pleasant demeanor, which was a good sign. "Nenbrook?" She repeated, trying out the sound of the word. It didn't strike her as familiar at all, much to her disappointment, but it had a nice ring. At the mention of woods, her spirits lifted; woods were such a quiet natural place in comparison to places populated with humans.
"Care to walk together?"
She blinked before glancing down the path, a neutral expression on here face. It was a friendly invitation and it had been too long since she had spent time with another feline. At this thought she paused, a momentary look of confusion coming across her face. When was the last time she interacted with another creature? She didn't know herself. Was it yesterday? A week? Years? However, the panicked moment passed and she adopted a smile once more, "A walk sounds nice, thank you."
After all, she had no reason not to...and it would be a good opportunity for her to stretch her legs and get to know this Bailey. Daisy got to all four paws once more before looking to the younger tom. He was a likable sort, most definitely. "Shall we?" She asked, responding to his charming smile with one of her own.

He found when she tilted her head, it gave off a different side of her, yet it was still a cute manner. "Nenbrook?" He gave a nod. "Yup." before turning his head again to look down the long winding path. "A walk sounds nice, thank you." He was rather relieved and of course greatful, his spirits now higher as he watched her carefully. "Shall we?" He gave another nod. "Certainly." his clear respond before he got onto his feet and followed.
His tail flicked into the air again in its natural state as the tom began to step softly amongst the blades of grass before he felt his paw pads return to the once again rubble beneath his feet. He took in a inhale of that pure air before hearing a loud roar, ears twitched before his eyes focused on one of the humans strange contraptions passing by, making him feel unaware and unease, yet the thing passed as quickly as it came and Bailey returned to his normal calm state.
He hated them. Ever since his recent owners just abandoned him on the side of the road from the inside of one, he just hated them, and anything to do with humans. He began to think of what his new acquaintance thought of the human world. "I was wondering..." he paused for a moment. "What do you think of..... humans?" He hoped it was not that of too personal, yet it was something he wanted to know, what others thought about them, if it was just him who hated them or if there was other cats out there who hated them as much as he did.
His tail lowered slightly before the bushiness of it began to almost drag along the floor, his fine long fur waving as it began to pick up the cool breeze once again, and he envied every minute of it as he let it brush past. After the cooling moment, the young tom returned to watching her, she had such a unique design, much like him, and it actually made him feel so much more comfortable about himself. He was so glad to have met her, and he knew, in some way in his heart, that they would become good friends.
He just knew it.

She watched as he started to move towards the road, waiting a moment before following alongside him. It felt reassuring, somehow, just to be moving forwards with a fellow feline. Maybe it was just being with a friendly soul or perhaps it was the feeling that if she continued onwards she'd be able to leave behind all those thoughts and questions that plagued her. Daisy exhaled, holding back laughter, 'What a silly idea.' Yet...she felt a bit more lighthearted anyway.
She blinked as the ground vibrated slightly beneath her paws, refocusing on what was happening instead of her odd little notions. The feline glanced over at the road, watching as the source of the vibrations passed with a low roar. Daisy flicked her ears back for a moment, trying not to breathe in the fumes left behind until they dispersed. Those machines were always unnerving, but she had grown used to the sight of them whizzing by.
Her whiskers twitched, catching a fading feeling of unease about. The feline glanced over at Bailey, a look of curiosity upon her face.
"I was wondering...What do you think of..... humans?"
Daisy was silent as she recalled as she knew and remembered about humans. After a bit, the she-cat spoke, "Humans...they're okay. Frankly, it's irritating the way they're always messing up areas and dirtying places," She paused, glancing back behind them before resuming, "But I've come to accept them as a necessary inconvenience. And you?" She pondered as to why he would ask such a question. Did humans bother him? Or perhaps...Bailey was a house-cat and wanted to know her opinion on the beings he lived with. She mused before deciding that the latter was unlikely; she didn't get a strong scent of human off him.

He wasn't sure exactly how she would take the question, and the silence worried him before shortly, she replied. "Humans...they're okay. Frankly, it's irritating the way they're always messing up areas and dirtying places," He agreed. They were always the ones which ruined the best places, Bailey had discovered that when he was a kitten, he remembered going to a certain area of the garden when he was adopted and loved it, and found when he returned the next day, it was gone, it was destroyed, upturned and ruined.
"But I've come to accept them as a necessary inconvenience. And you?" Well, he wasn't entirely sure how to put it without explaining his entire past. He flattened his ears before grinning. "Well. Let's just say that I've hated them " he paused for a slight moment before looking back to her eyes. "But I do understand not all of them are like my 'recent' owners." He would have to give a few of them some chance at least.
"I still avoid them though... Something about them.. Sort of scares me." He seemed to be releasing all of his thoughts before he realized what he just said. He gasped a little before turning his head away. Daisy seemed so easy to talk too, and he appreciated the fact that she was listening to his past and how he felt about them now. His tail flicked back up in the air again before perking his ears forward and he returned with a smile and shook his head to rid of the thoughts.
"So.. Daisy. May I ask what bought you way out here?" His warm smile and eyes seemed to give off a glow as he spoke directly to her.

She watched him carefully, wondering how he would take to her words. Was he expecting something different? The feline hoped that it wasn't so, for she wished to stay on good terms with him.
"Well. Let's just say that I've hated them."
Daisy felt her spirits drop, feeling as if she upset him. But she had spoken the truth and she disliked not being honest, especially to a cat that was being so friendly to her. However, Bailey's next words made her feel a bit better. They also gave her a reason to look upon this youth with a bit more respect as, oftentimes, hate was accompanied with a narrow-sighted view that disallowed anything other than dislike. The fact that Bailey was able to look a bit beyond this showed a mature side to him. Daisy gave a small smile at the young tom.
"I still avoid them though... Something about them.. Sort of scares me."
Her eyes widened slightly at his confession; she was a bit surprised that he would tell her something like this. But then she smiled gently, somehow glad that he would be so open with her. It made her feel better and a bit more welcome to this strange place. She looked at his now-smiling face, "They are...rather odd and to try and understand them is a near impossible task. Our reasons may differ but I'd prefer to stay away from them as well."
"So.. Daisy. May I ask what bought you way out here?"
Her heart sank at his innocent question. His words were so similar to the ones she asked herself repeatedly, but never had an answer for. So how would she explain it to Bailey? Daisy desperately wished she had a proper reply for both of them. Her eyes lowered to the ground, ears drooping slightly as she looked for a decent response.
Instead, she replied softly, "...I don't really know. Actually, I'm not really sure why I'm here or how I got to this road." She lifted her head up to glance at him, an almost apologetic smile upon her face, "Sorry but I can't answer you. Not because I don't want to..." How was she to explain this? The only real way was to tell the honest truth and she felt that he didn't deserve anything else, even if it felt a little odd to say something like this to a cat she barely knew. She drew a breath to speak, wondering if she was getting too worked up about this. "You see, Bailey, I don't remember anything of yesterday or the days before that. All I remember is...today." Daisy almost felt like laughing at how far-fetched this sounded, but at the same time she felt like curling up in a little corner because it was all true.

I aplogize that it's so short. It's so unlike me! o.o
"They are...rather odd and to try and understand them is a near impossible task. Our reasons may differ but I'd prefer to stay away from them as well." Her expression at first made him feel different, her surprised notion towards what he had just said, but she soon returned to a smile, yet shortly after his question she drooped again, and he let off a worried expression. "...I don't really know. Actually, I'm not really sure why I'm here or how I got to this road." He frowned, his much concern for her.
"Sorry but I can't answer you. Not because I don't want to..." He gasped a little. "No no! It's fine. Really." he showed his warm smile again showing her it was alright, his eyes then focused on where abouts their paws were taking them, but as he knew it, just along more winding road. "You see, Bailey, I don't remember anything of yesterday or the days before that. All I remember is...today." At that moment in time, he felt great empathy, his ears flattened.
He thought for a moment before looking to Daisy. A smile grew again before he looked to her eyes. "Well then Daisy." he walked a little infront of her before stopping, his eyes focused on hers with a charming smile of grattitude. "I promise with all my heart. I will help you remember." He nodded quite satisfied. Assuring himself that he would be there for her, he would be more than happy to help her, it was in his nature. "Because that's what friends are for"

”No no! It’s fine. Really.”
She tried out a smile at his reassurances, glad despite feeling down. Feeling down...? Daisy frowned, shaking her head to try and clear out the unwanted emotion. She didn’t enjoy being plagued with such a thing, especially now that she had met another feline. No, she wouldn’t stand for it. She raised her head and shifted her downwards gaze so that she now looked forwards, taking a few calm breaths to steady herself.
”Well then Daisy. I promise with all my heart. I will help you remember. Because that’s what friends are for.”
The she-cat blinked as he started to speak before slowing, clear blue eyes filled with curiosity. As he continued her eyes widened slightly, startled at his declaration. But then a smile spread across her face, a smile filled with gratitude for this young tom. She really was fortunate that she had met such a friendly cat. No...not just a cat. ”A friend.” She murmured, a slight thrill coming across her at the sound.
”Thank you, Bailey.” Daisy said softly and with utter sincerity. {Gaah...mine’s rather short as well. DX Haven’t been in the mood to roleplay all of a sudden.}}

He just seemed to walk on with a smile, but to see her reaction was somewhat a most delightful sight to see. He paused when she paused before hearing her words, a somewhat relieved thought dwelling within his mind. ”Thank you, Bailey.” His smile seemed to grow before he gave her a small snug in her fur. "It's Okay. Anything for a friend." The playful teen seemed somewhat thrilled at the ever so big achievement of gaining a perfect friendship so quickly, yet this was no ordinary friendship, this was one Bailey knew would grow to be perfect.
Something within told him that he would keep to his promise, be there for Daisy every step of the way if need be. He was proud he met her, she already seed a wonderful cat, and he admitted, she was quite pretty. But that was something he found cute about her, as a friend of course. Showing her his wide smile, his tail flicking in joy, that bushy end of long hair waving softly. Bailey's mind swelled with most precious thoughts and of course at this moment in time, the main thought being where their paws would take them or where they would end up exactly.
Every now and then, the occasional car still swooped by, but Bailey just seemed to blur them out and they were nothing but history to him. His ears seemed perked as in a friendly manner as he looked to the ground as he walked, thinking of many things, and how lucky he was to have met someone as wonderful as Daisy. Lifting his head, he looked towards her soft eyes and his tone was calm. "I bet we will meet loads more cats when we get to town." As of course, it was obvious there will be loads. But none quite like Daisy.
Admin's Note on November 27th: This thread is being archived due to inactivity, sorry. We'll say that Bailey and Daisy talk and get to know each other a bit more.
