Pads hit the ground at a run as the playful young she-husky run through the thick trees that covered the hills, chasing small animals that crossed her path for entertainment. Stopping, Ivy’s tongue lolled out of her mouth as she panted, she wasn’t really tired, but more like hot, which technically made her tired. Sighing and licking her lips Ivy plopped down in the cool grass and sighed. ‘It’s so boring playing by myself…’ She thought and pouted slightly, still panting as she looked around, she was thirsty. ‘I wonder if there’s anything to drink around here…’ She thought, standing up and glancing around as she started to pad through the trees again. It was a sunny day so the chance of there being water around wasn’t high, but because the place was so densely covered in trees, perhaps she could find something anyways.
After walking for a few minutes Ivy found what she was looking for, a small puddle of water had gathered in an old stump. Smiling happily Ivy stuck her head into the old broken tree trunk and lapped up the water. The cool liquid felt good going down, but all too soon she had drank all that was there. ‘Darn’ She thought with a small frown and sighed, she was still a bit thirsty, but it was better then before at least. Suddenly, a small squirrel ran past, and caught the young fae’s attention. Grinning playfully Ivy let out a woof and chased after the tree dwelling rodent, but as it ran up a tree she pouted and sat at the base, her wagging tail stopping as she looked up into the branches at the chattering squirrel.
“I just wanted to play~” She whined and frowned. Suddenly something small and hard hit her square between the eyes, causing her to yelp and jump back away from the tree. That little devil had thrown an acorn at her! Shaking her head slightly Ivy turned her gaze back up to the tree and scowled at the Squirrel that was chattering away, she was just trying to be friends! ‘Obviously he doesn’t want to play with me, so fi-’ Another yelp escaped the husky as a second acorn hit her, on the back this time. Backing away from the tree she frowned slightly and huffed, she didn’t need him to have fun. Sticking her nose in the air Ivy trotted off to find something else to play with, preferably someone who wasn’t going to throw things at her!

Sulking along through the hidden path, slugishly dragging himself between trees, Cheif looked down with eyes filled with wariness. He had had a horrible night sleep, dreaming of cats and dogs, killing and yowls of pain from each side. He shook the horrid memory from his head and kept walking...or dragging himself. He wasn't acting like his usual self and needed something to take his mind off his reoccuring nightmare. He was pretty drained of energy though, especially after the ordeal he had the other day with Caesar, his fellow pack mate, and an orange tabby she-cat. His virtues and descisions had made a drastic change in such a short amount of time he was half shocked.
He was still bound to his pack though and the attack on the cats would still go as planned. Suddenly, as if smacked out of his thoughts, he heard a pain-stricken yelp close by and he hadn't scented another dog nearby. Then again he hadn't really been looking. Now he had a bit of life in his step and he spread his muzzle slightly open to drink in nearby scents. He was confused, the dog was a female but he didn't recognized her smell. She wasn't from the pack and he hesitated, before walking forward toward the femme. To his right was the deeper part of the forest and to his left, directly parallel to him, was the genltle slopes of Nenwood. The sun shown intense and hot over the hills and he sighed, thankful for being under the safe canapy of the trees.
Stepping lightly, more so then before, he bent down on his haunches as if stalking. He peered through the gaps between te bushes to see a beautiful, sleak, lean, black and white she-dog. A husky like him. "Wow!" He couldn't help but blurt out in an abrupt whisper. The only husky he ever saw was his mother and no other. And never had he imagined that the husky he saw would be this pretty. He also caught the faint glimpse of a squirrel as it ran up to hide into the tree. He saw at least two randomly placed acorns near the she-husky and he could only assume what happened. 'She was assaultede by a squirrel...annoying rodent' He snickered, but stiffened. A crisp breeze picked up throwing his scent into the air into her direction. 'SHOOT! He wanted to show himself to her when he felt a bit for mentally prepared, but the wind forced him out, giving away his hidden presence. He moaned inwardly, but inhaled sharply and stood up tall.
Walking out of the cover of the bushes he walked out slowly, looking down at his bumbling big paws as they took their rehersed positions, one in front of the other. Forcing a smile he looked to the emerald green eyes of the canine. Clearing his throught he finally spoke, "Hiya! Saw that squirrel was taking advantage of ya! The names Cheif...um no last name available. heh" His face turned a pale scarlet, but his tail amazingly started to wag excitedly. His tongue lolled and he hoped she wouldn't brush him off and turn away... that would really make his day. OOC: Sorry that took me a bit!! Hope the reply is ok

OOC: S’fine ^^
Ivy gave a soft sigh and sat down with her back to the tree that the squirrel had been in, like she was throwing a tantrum, and truth be told, she kind of was. It was her way if dealing with her hurt or anger, just to sit off in a corner and sulk until either something distracted her or she forgot why she was upset. Yup, that was Ivy for you. Ivy quickly became bored of being upset with the nasty little rodent and let out a heavy sigh. ‘Bored, bored, bored…’ She thought, mentally complaining. If there was one thing Ivy couldn’t stand, it was being bored. Laying down in the grass Ivy gave a small yawn, she wasn’t tired at all just, you guessed it, bored.
Suddenly, the scent of another entered her nostrils and she blinked, sitting up again and glancing around, her nose going as she took in the scent of the male. ‘Hey, it’s another dog, a male dog’ She thought and smiled, standing up from her spot on the grass and glancing around, trying to pinpoint where the smell was coming from. She had never been very good at tracking, as she’d never really needed to before. It was then that the movement of another caught her attention and she spun around to face the other canine. Ivy blinked in surprise as her bright green eyes landed on another husky. Like Cheif the only other huskies she had ever seen in her life were her parents and siblings.
At first Ivy’s natural instincts won over her naturally talkative and playful personality as she kept still and held stiff, she had met other mean dogs in her time and was hoping this brute wasn’t one. The male spoke and Ivy smiled, her tail starting to wag slightly, happy to have someone to talk to after such a long time. “Hi!” She replied, grinning slightly before plopping back down on her behind. As the brute mentioned the squirrel she pouted slightly and gave a nod. “Yeah! And I just wanted someone to play with…” She said and sighed softly, her expression brightening up again as he introduced himself and said he didn’t have a last name and she giggled. “Hehe… Ohh, that’s alright! I’m Ivy, Ivy Goldthorn” She said, giving a faked serious nod.
Ivy sat in silence for a moment, her eyes leaving the other canine to glance around, her mind working on what to say next. “Uhm…” She hummed softly, she was never very good at starting conversations, but once she got going it was really quite hard to stop her. As the fae got an idea she brightened up and her tail started to wag again. “Do you want to play with me?” She asked, grinning at the brute. Just because the squirrel didn’t want to play, didn’t mean Cheif wouldn’t!

Cheif's heart swelled as she started to speak. She didn't try to runaway which was a great sign. His tail thumped loudly as he hit is against a nearby tree. She just wanted someone to play with? Well that was understandable. Especially to Cheif. Fun was his middle name, that is when he wasn't around Shiba or Aspen. When around the more superior dogs of the pack he'd try his hardest to act like a mature dog, but t hardly works. He shuttered slightly when he thought of what Shiba would do to him when she finds out from Caesar about his treachery.
He had sided with felines. Cats, the dogs enemy...but he couldn't let Caesar take advantage of a mother and her kits. He had completely fallen for one of the kittens and only hoped he'd live to see her grow up. 'Kestrel' He thought pleasantly. Then coming back to where he and the femme sat he jumped at the fact when she had freely given him her name. "Ivy, huh? Goldthorn...Sweet name. I love it" He couldn't help but bark excitedly. He took a few steps closer to the she-dog and stared into her emerald eyes. She smirked at him, probably trying hard to come up with some sort of conversation.
Cheif smirked back and saw a sudden recollection in her eyes, she had an idea. Barking out her question, Chief let out a bellow of laughter. "Heck yeah! I'd love to play! It would be nice to take my mind off of a few things anyway..." The strain was quite visible in his voice, but he kept his smile firm. He couldn't help but think of the pack when he finally had to make his way back before the big [/i] fight, but for now he'd have fun with this femme and make it last. Mentally pushing his doubts and fears aside, he hoped to his feet and bounded toward Ivy, his giant, purple, tongue lolled. "Race ya to the top of that hill!" He poked her flank and slowly pranced his way in the direction of the sun lit slopes. He was going to make this last,. He promised himself. He had no idea what tomorrow was going to bring or whether he'd be dead next week, but he was going to live for today. 'Seize the Day' he snickered and looked to the black and white husky behind him. Admin's Note on November 2nd: This thread is being archived due to inactivity. We'll say that: - Cheif and Ivy have some fun and become friends-ish [/blockquote]
