Magic's paws moved easily as he amde his way down to Thorton Stream. His triangular shaped ears were pricked, acoustics listening to the gentle bubbling of the stream. His white and mixed fur blew softly in the breeze. The chilly air feeling good against his body. Blue orbs were locked a head of him. Blades and pelvis rolling easily with each step. Paws left perfect impressions behind in teh dirt. He hadn't realized he was thirsty so he stopped by the stream and crouched down to take a few drinks. His salmon pink tongue lapped up the cold water. It felt so good and refreshing going down this throat.
Above the sky was tinged with orange and pink, which meant the sun was setting. He stopped lapping up the water for a moment and raised his head to look up, marveling at the beauty of nature all around. He flicked his tail to the side, sweeping aside some of the lose topsoil. Magic loved coming out here on days like this because it was hard to forget about your problems and worries. It was as if there was something here that just washed away all your problems with a flick of a switch. Magic returned to lappping up the water and once his thirst was quenched, he proceeded to trot along the very edge, feeling teh water spraying up against is paws.
He wondered how Fern was doing...and the rest of the gang. Magic felt a warm smile forming on his muzzle at the thought. He hadn't realized just how wonderful everyone was here that he had met. He was lucky to have such good friends here. When he first became wild, he was scared that he would be alone for the rest of his life...but now, that didn't seem possible or even an option. Magic wondered what the rest of the day would bring him. He even wondered if there were many cats that came out this way. Some hunted close to the city, while others tended to come out to the wilderness to get back to the basics of wild instincts. Magic didn't mind either way. Whichever would get him food then it was all good.
After a few moments, Magic laid down beside the stream, letting his back legs tuck against him, forelegs stretched out before him. He laid like that, letting his ear cock back every once and a while to listen for any signs of movement. He flicked his tail and enjoyed the wonderful weather.

I will think of you
There was nothing out of place about the small orange tabby who threaded her way through the tall, lush grasses except for maybe her sense of purpose in the way she strode through the brush - her head held high as she trampled through the grass, leaving a small flattened trail behind her as she went. She was no random stray ambling along through the day after wherever the sun's rays may or may not have taken her. Indigo Wintertrap had a destination in mind and she was headed there for a reason. If a dream constituted as a solid and fallible reason, something she was in the midst of debating mentally.
She'd awoken this morning near the edge of the forest, curled up soundly at the base of a small oak tree. The first thing she'd been able to take in when she came to was that she remembered having a dream. She'd been running along a stream, down the banks, and she'd been chasing... something. Or trying to stop something. She'd had some purpose anyway, she just couldn't remember what it was. In the dream, she didn't think she'd known either. It had taken her a second for another realization to sink in. It wasn't just "some" stream. It was the very one she'd visited with Stellar in the winter and, more recently, when she'd met that angry tabby. Thorton Stream. Which meant that it was both a real and close by place. And fueled in her a desire to visit it.
She didn't know why it was so important to visit the place she'd dreamed about. But didn't dreams have something to do with the subconscious? So was it possible that her subconscious was urging her to re-visit the stream? She blinked, her thoughts spinning in a turmoil and accomplishing nothing more than confusing her extremely. Whatever the reason was, she'd dreamed - an important dream, at that - about this place, and now she was going to head over and see what all the fuss was. If there was any.
"Oh!" she exclaimed suddenly, startled to see that she'd been so lost in her thinking that she hadn't even noticed the other cat until she'd almost walked on top of him. Blushing slightly, she hastened to stammer out an apology before introducing herself, as was an almost reflex upon meeting strangers. "I'm Indigo," she chirped pleasantly, flashing a grin at the tom. His markings were slightly different than anything she'd ever seen before. And his fur was so long! She eyed him over for an instant before realizing that she was staring and biting her lip to avoid giggling as she turned away, blushing slightly deeper.
"So," she managed, turning back to face the tom and hoping that her face wasn't flaming scarlet. "What brings you here?" she asked curiously, sweeping her tail out to indicate this vast space around them. The stream, more precisely. On second though, that had been a dumb question to ask. He would obviously ask the same of her and what was she supposed to say? That she'd had a dream where she was here doing something important and so had traveled back to see if she could figure things out? It was a good thing, Indigo decided, that she'd already been blushing, otherwise the tom might have wondered why she was a pale shade of red about the cheeks.

Magic felt the she-cat bump into him. Grinning he shook his head, dismissing her apology. She didn't do it on purpose. Her name was Indigo...very pretty name. Magic beamed at her and then responded.
"It's lovely to meet you Indigo. I am Magic Silverpaw, or just Magic for short," he said softly, giving her a bit of a polite bow to show her respect. Twin ears cocked toward her, showing her respect and attention. This was something he always did whenever he was speaking to a female cat. It was something that was instilled in him for a long time, since he could actually remember.
Magic shifted a bit giving Indigo some room incase she didnt like the feeling of being crowded. One ear cocked back, listening to the brids chirping in the trees. He listened to her next question and smiled at her.
"Nothing really. Just out being adventurous really. I'm always moving around, keeping myself active," he said brightly. "What about you, Miss Indigo?"
She seemed to be blushing which he thought was rather cute. Magic never had a she-cat blush around him before. It was kinda strange and wonderful at the same time. His blue orbs looked Indigo over. She was a nice looking cat that was for sure. A chilly breeze whipped patches of Magic's splotched fur in several directions. His pink nose quivered as he could smell in the distance the salty air sting of a storm brewing. Sure enough, in the distance he could hear the thunder rumbling and the sky illuminating. Luckily, there were places to hide here incase the storm hit. He blinked and cocked his head to the side in a curious pose. Magic quickly groomd his chest before raising a forepaw, licking it and moving it over his head and behind his ears.
He was always making sure he was clean, which was probably strange to some, specially since he was wild and on his own, but he didn't think Indigo would pick up on anything as he stopped , lowering his paw and watching her with his blue eyes.

"Magic," Indigo repeated with a grin and a small nod. It was a nice name, holding a trace of uniqueness that seemed like a douse of refreshment. "I like it," she meowed unexpectedly, grinning again as her tail lashed back and forth behind her, brushing against the soft grass gently as it swung by. The cat was polite and friendly and Indigo gave a small smile as she considered how different he was in attitude to the last cat she had chatted with at this stream. Wolf Sharpstone. Stupid tabby.
"Lovely to meet you, too," she purred, her golden eyes flickering softly in the sunlight. She squinted slightly at the brightness, tilting her head and taking a step forward so she could see the other cat better. She gave a small nod as he explained his reasons for being there, all the while frantically anticipating the question which was bound to follow. And did. Allowing another grin at the form of address 'Miss Indigo' - which she had to say she rather liked - she tried to think quickly of a plausible explanation. Without flat out lying.
Well," she started, and then paused - playing for time. "Last night when I was asleep - well, not asleep but I was thinking... about coming to this place. Because I felt that it was important. And this morning I did." God, that made even less sense than the dream. Or at least made her seem stupid and made it quite obvious that she wasn't telling him the whole truth. She blushed again. "Okay fine. I had a dream where I was running and running and I was chasing something, I think, and it was really important but I didn't know what it was and when I woke up I realized that in the dream I had been here, at this stream, so then I figured since I didn't have anything else to do today I might as well come by and see what was important."
She ducked her chin down into her chest fur, giving herself a few licks as she tried to hide a small smile that was starting to form. "Wow," she managed with a small laugh as she raised her head. "I know that sounds really stupid, doesn't it?" She let out another tinkling laugh. "But it wasn't like I had plans or anything so..." She shrugged. "Might as well, you know? So I can't wish later than I'd have gone and seen just in case there is something cool out here."
She flashed a smile at Magic. "Maybe it was cause I was meant to run into you," she flirted, arching one eyebrow at the little joke. Cause that's all it was. A joke. She wasn't really flirting with him. Was she? Of course not! Well, yeah, maybe she was. But it didn't mean anything and that was the important thought. It couldn't mean anything, not with her suspicions that she'd been harboring lately. She drew in sharply. They were not true! She - she couldn't be!

Magic grinned at Indigo and nodded. There was something about Indigo that Magic couldn't put his paw on. Something not omnious, but glowing about her. Cocking his head to the side, Magic listened to her words and nodded.
"I understand. Sometimes dreams can mean funny things and make you feel like they're real but they arent," he mused slowly and softly.
He didn't want to press her anymore if she didn't want to talk to him about her past so he shifted his weight a bit and yawned, before licking a few strands of fur on his chest. He raised his head again and regarded Indigo.
"How about we take a walk?" Magic suggested slowly as he pulled himself up onto all fours and shook his fur getting rid of any debris that might've clung to his soft fur. "If you're feeling up to it of course." he added.
He took a few steps forward before stopping and turning his head around to look at her over his shoulder. Tail hung down between his back legs, lightly draping across the ground. Ears were cocked toward her, waiting for her to talk again. Magic gazed at Indigo. He was puzzled though, why she was flirting with him if his feeling was right? To him, flirting with no intentions was like swimming without a life jacket. It was dangerous. Did friends flirt with each other? Magic wondered, but he didn't think so. Still Indigo was harmless and probably her light flirting was just as harmless as anything. Magic remained standing, as he patiently waited for her to speak again. He had hopes that she would take a walk with him. His legs got stiff from standing in one spot for such a long time so walking was the perfect solution for that. His blue eyes were locked on Indigo's as he waited.

"Exactly!" Indigo gave a small laugh, purring contentedly. It was so nice to forget about everything and just have one happy encounter with someone. When was the last time that she'd been completely happy? She blinked in surprise. It had certainly been a long while ago. There had always been something troubling her. Even now there is, she thought guiltily, glancing down at her slightly swollen belly on reflex - glaring at it. Still, it wasn't too noticeable. Magic might not have even realized it. Of course, her little glance there might have spoiled all hope of that.
She raised her head up immediately and grinned at the tom. "Sure!" she chirped eagerly. "Sounds like fun!" Her paws kneaded the ground anxiously. "Of course I'm up for it," she said with a laugh, grinning. She just wanted to leave all her problems behind. "Or we could run?" she suggested, arching one brow in question before giving a little laugh as she spun around neatly on her heel and shot off. Her paws carried her over the soft grassy banks as she ran alongside the river, carving a wide circle as she rounded back, dashing off to Magic. "Up for it?" she teased, echoing the words he'd asked her moments before. She laughed.
In the back of her mind, she knew that this wouldn't change anything. Prancing about having fun with a handsome tom cat wasn't going to fix her problems. He wasn't so fairy godmother who could hit her with a magic wand and Poof! un-pregnate her just like that. Nothing could. Indigo scowled, narrowing her eyes as she willed her inner self to just shut up. She didn't care. If her future was so bleakly set out in front of her already then that meant that this was even more important and she should seize this last chance she had to just have a bit of fun.
Nodding at her new resolution, Indigo glanced back up at Magic, smirking slightly. "Tag, if you like?" she questioned with a laugh. Sure, it was a kit's game but it would be fun to just dash around and have some fun. "Promise I'll go slow," she teased with a laugh. Eyes sparkling, she scampered closer to the tom, leaning in to touch the base of his ear with the tip of her nose. "You're it," she whispered slowly before pulling back, an unexplainable gleam in her eyes. Without another thought she gave a little laugh, dancing away.

Magic laughed shaking his head. He watched her dance around but also saw her slightly swollen belly. His feelings were right. She lookd like she was expecting. Sighing slightly, Magic chuckled to himself and danced after Indigo, playfully bopping her with his bushy tail. He grinned and playfully bolted forward, inticing her to follow him.
He heard her ask 'if I'm up to it?' and stopped and turned his head around, looking at her over his shoulders. He nodded at her question and gestured to her abdomen with his head in a nodding way.
"You're expecting right? Too much running around won't be good for those kittens," he said gravely as he looked at her with concern.
He wasn't no doctor, but too much excercise couldn't be good for those kittens. Still, a little bit probably wouldn't hurt much. His ears were cocked toward Indigo, waiting for her to respond to him. His blue eyes caught the light again and made them sparkle like small sapphires. A gentle breeze whipped his fur in all directions causing that tingle to run down his spine.
He grinned at her and playfully bopped her shoulder with his forepaw.
"Nope. You're it! Catch me if you can!" he laughed heartily and bolted forward, at a slow canter so Indigo could catch up to him easily. He was still laughing as he waited for her to run after him.

Indigo made a face. "Unfortunately, yes, I think so," she replied, finding it hard not to sound bitter as she spoke. She rolled her eyes. But at least she hadn't gotten all furious at Magic. What was more, she'd actually accepted it out loud now. But that disturbed. It seemed that now that someone else knew, it was true. Before when it was just her, she could play it off as nothing, a mere speculation. But Magic had noticed and she had - Indigo winced - she had told him it was true - that she was expecting. Damn it all. She was such an idiot. She didn't want to be pregnant. She didn't want to have kittens.
Her tail lashing back and forth irritably behind her she dismissed Magic's concern. "I'll be fine," she answered with a grin, noting in the back of the mind that Magic had been worried about the kittens' health - something she couldn't bring herself to care so strongly about that she'd miss out on what could be an afternoon of great fun. She wasn't a horrible mother-to-be who didn't care about the kittens but honestly they'd be fine. Or it. Personally, Indigo was hoping for an it - one little kitten, that's all.
"Darn!" She gave a little giggle as she felt his tap on her shoulder and then dashed after him, noting irritably that he wasn't running all that fast. Was he playing easy because she was pregnant?! She frowned, flicking him with her tail as she caught up. "Are you going slow because I'm pregnant?" she asked, wincing at the word. Stupid word. Grinning mischievously she flicked her tail at him again, this time against his nose. "Or are you just naturally a slowpoke?" she teased, nudging him with a smirk.

Magic grinned at her and nodded, respecting her answer and taking it as a good thing. His ears cocked toward her, picking up her teasing remark about him being a slow poke. His blue eyes caught the light making them sparkle.
"Me? Oh I'm a natural slow poke. I think there's something stuck back there," Magic mused lightly craning his head to look at his backside, pretending something was indeed stuck there.
Chuckling good naturedly, he playfully tapped Indigo again on her shoulder. He yawned, flexing his lower jaw down, exposing his knife like sharp white canines and incisors. Once he stopped, he looked at Indigo.
"So Indigo, what do you want to do now?" he asked curiously standing on all fours as he glanced over is shoulder at her and waited patiently for her to respond. A gentle gust of wind fluttered patches of his fur in all directions, but he wondered what Indigo wanted to do now. His stomach gave a low grumble indicating that he was hungry.
"We could go get something to eat yes? Whatcha think?" he asked cheerfully, letting his long snake like tail sway slightly like a dog wagging his tail. He was glad Indigo wasnt' angry when he was going slow. Truthfully it was becuase she was pregnant, but he wasn't going to tell her that, not with risk of getting her iritated at him. That was one thing he never could stand. Any female angry with him. He hated it with a passion and would do something to get her to laugh and forgive him. Magic never held grudges either. He was always forgiving, unless it was something extremely bad and horrible. Then, he wouldn't forgive . That was a rare occasion though. He slipped his haunches into a sitting position and let his tail wrap tightly against his back legs, twitching on occasion. He quickly groomed himself, licking the fur on his foreleg while he waited for Indigo to respond.

Indigo laughed at Magic's humor, feeling a wave of happiness that everything was so normal with him. She grinned, unable to suppress her good mood. And why should she? Last time she'd checked, feeling happy was a good thing. "Nope, don't see anything," she confirmed with a laugh. "Guess it's all on you then," she teased, flicking him good-naturedly with the tip of her tail. She tilted her head as Magic yawned, wondering if he was tired. He probably just needed to yawn, she surmised, grinning again at the tom.
Shrugging at his question, Indigo pursed her lips in thought. "No clue," she admitted finally with a wry laugh. "You got any ideas?" she inquired, wondering if Magic would have more luck at thinking up a suitable plan of action. She giggled. "Ooh, sure!" Indigo perked up, eyes brightening at the thought. "Wanna hunt?" she asked with a grin, wondering how long Magic had been on the streets and if he was indeed a skilled hunter or if he even knew how. But she wasn't about to ask in case he managed to take offense.
Tail waving behind her, Indigo skipped ahead, excited at the prospect of hunting with a friend. She remembered learning to hunt in the woods with Tamar and Storm. Stellar had taught them... She felt a little tug inside of her and winced, wondering if it would always be like this when she thought of Stellar. He'd taught her how to fish too. Tug. And met all those strays with her. Tug. Sky and Tamar and Storm. Tug tug. She squeezed her eyes shut, glad that she'd run ahead of Magic. Gulping, Indigo fought to calm herself down. She was not going to go get herself all worked up about this.
Blinking away any tears that might have started to well up, Indigo turned back to Magic, eyes bright. "Come on, slowpoke," she teased. Flashing him a grin, she spun around and crept off, sniffing in the reeds. She scented the water vole before she saw it nibbling on the banks. Indigo froze, flicking her tail and hoping Magic would get the clue. Slowly, she crept forward, weight balanced neatly. Just like Stellar taught her. Tug. Indigo blinked, feeling unsteady with a wave of emotion, and prayed she didn't crash over and embarrass herself.
With a surprise turn of luck, she stayed put and the water vole still didn't see or scent her. She took another step, her feet brushing against the reeds. The vole froze but it was too late. Indigo leaped forward agilely , pouncing down on the unfortunate create and nipping it sharply on the back of it's neck and ending it's life. She licked the drops of blood from her lips, feeling a warm satisfaction. Fresh prey tasted so much better than food scavenged in the market. This was she should have been living. How had she been eating scavenged food for so long? Indigo shivered and picked up the vole in her mouth, trotting back to Magic with a proud air.
Dropping the vole at his feet, she grinned at him. "You want?" she asked, tilting her head to the side in question. It was only polite after all and she was sure she'd be able to catch more for herself later. Besides, she was eager to see what experience Magic had with hunting. He was older than her but he might not have been abandoned till recently or might have been the type of cat who scavenged his food. Either way, Indigo wondered if he'd ever hunted or eaten fresh prey before, even if she knew it was probably a silly question. It wasn't that big a deal after all. Most cats had. But still, she couldn't suppress that little bit of curiosity. Which was probably a good sign if it meant that her old self was coming back.
