History: July 17th, the house was woken up by the sounds of weak crying and rustling. A proud mother house-cat by the name of Belladonna had given birth to three healthy kittens, thanks to a neighbours cat Spiker. The two male kittens were black and white like their mother, each with different patterns on their coat. The female, she was a Russian Blue like her father, her eyes a striking blue hue. A single human female owned the house, so came downstairs happily to see her new collection of cats. Storm was named for her colour, and her brothers names…she cannot remember clearly.
They grew up happily together, playing with each other and such. But, Bella had to be put to sleep after they found a growth in her stomach. So, the kittens grew up with the human, but having no contact with their father. They only knew him by the name their mother had told them. When the kittens were old enough, Storm was left in the house while her brothers were sold to new homes. She was only around five months when it happened, and soon forgot about them when she was a year old.
By that time, Storm’s blue eyes had turned green, and she was a very lithe feline indeed. The human decided to give her cat some company, and went to a near-by pet store. She came back with another female of around the same age who she called Mystery. The new feline was a silver tabby cat, with bright gold eyes and a some what dominating character. Slowly, over the coming weeks, Storm was pushed out of play-times and feeding. She only ever got a small ping-pong ball and some leftover scraps.
The one time she tried to stand up for herself at 15 months, she gained a ‘\’ shaped scar under one of her eyes. Storm now spent most of her time in a basket under the table, keeping away from the feline. And that was when things changed. The human had to go to hospital, after falling over one of the cats’ toys and breaking her leg. So, both cats were being looked after by a friend. That was when Mystery introduced herself, and the two became friends.
Storm found out that Mystery was a shop-bred kitten, and that was why she was horrible, because she wanted to feel what a house-cat felt like. They became close, and when Storm was about a year and a half old, Mystery made a rather shocking move. The tabby cat started to get closer to her, and linking her tail with hers. Soon, she started to get closer. That wasn’t the problem though. Mystery tried to make a pass at Storm when her heat scent got a bit too much. Feeling a little scared and confused, Storm lunged at her owner’s friend.
Bad move. Storm was taken swiftly into a cat carrier, and taken outside for the first time. She was thrown out onto the cold concrete, only to hear the sound of the front door slamming shut behind her. She had been thrown out into the cold world. Storm was now a stray.
Personality: When you first look at Storm, you can see that she was once a house-cat. She stands quite tall, even in the face of danger, which shows her good posture. Her eyes portray her as a calm feline who would like nothing more than to relax in a nice spot and just watch the world flow by. And in some circumstances, Storm would do just that. When she was first 'dropped', the she-cat was oblivious to street life and knew nothing about its dangers or anything. It is a surprise she is still here. But, such a life has changed her quite dramatically.
Storm was once a very shy feline, as she had no contact with other cats apart from the one she lived with. Even then, she never really talked with the female. Her timid nature used to get the better of her, nearly always being pushed aside at mealtimes by the other cat, being left out of play and many other things to that effect. The first time she tried to join in any form of contact with her owners, she was given the scar which rests under her eye today. That just made her clam up even more; hide under chairs, tables or anything to keep out of the other cat’s way.
That was how she ended up in her current state, or so she thinks. Despite her harsh treatment by her companion, there was a deep rooted feeling inside her. Sure, Storm was always the one left out, but putting their differences aside...they were rather alike. She even managed to talk with the other female, forming a small friendship with her. Little did Storm know at the time, the other female thought it more than friendship. After some rather odd attention from her, Storm finally realised the situation she was in. Because of that, she really keeps it quiet, knowing that very few cats were like her.
Since being dropped, Storm has changed rapidly. Instead of being shy, she can go up to other cats and talk with them. But it doesn't stop there. If any cat tries to harm her, or says something she doesn’t like, she is no longer afraid to lash out. She has learnt that you have to be strong to survive on the streets. Storm isn’t a feral cat, as she has been house-trained. But, many others do think of her as being feral, when she has a mood swing or two. And that’s not all of it either. Since her rather short relationship, the she-cat finds it a bit hard to love. After all, she was torn away. So, although she knows what she would like to see in a mate, she finds it really hard to actually find someone to spend her life with. Her past life has made a small shell around her true personality. The shy, sweet and caring Storm is clouded over by a stone wall of unusual calm, ferality and confusion.
