Name: Tangerine Windfur AKA Tangerine Gender: Female Date of Birth: 03/12/06 Height: 22 inches Sexual Preference: Straight Status: Not neutered Coat Color: orange Coat Pattern: tabby Eye Color: Chocolate brown Fur Length: Short Appearance Extra: No scaring but she's the average weight and height for a tabby. Her ears are nicely rounded but taper into points. Fur is soft and silky to the touch. Tail is nice and long, with the same orange bands that make up the rest of her body except at the very tip is an orange solid base. Legs are sturdy and agile. Neck slopes down nicely to her shoulders. Eyes are large and expressive. Nose is a soft pink color. Whiskers are the perfect length. Paws are well formed and nicely etched. Back is long but not that narrow. Barrel is round. Chest is not concave but well made. Nostrils are set to allow the right amount of oxygen. History: Tangerine had a rough start from the very day she was born. She was born with respiratory problems. After she got over that, when she was about a six months, she was attacked by a wild dog. Her mother was killed by a hit and run driver, father left them when the kittens were born, leaving her mother to fend for herself. At her young age, Tangerine didn't fully understand what was going on or why her father left. As she grew up, she began fully understanding why her father left. Apparently, he'd been seeing another she-cat, and there fore decided to dump Tang's mother. When she was about a year, Tangerine was forced to live life on her own. A human had found the remaining kittens after her mother had passed away and put them in a box for adoption. Tangerine watched as her siblings were picked up one by one by the humans and whisked away, never to be seen again. After a few days, her siblings dwindled leaving her the only kitten left. She began feeling as though no one wanted her. Then, a young girl found her and took her home. At last, Tangering knew she had a good home. Life living with the girl was great at first. She was spending lots of time with Tangering, playing with her and having fun. Then, as the young girl got older, she was spending less and less time with Tangerine, sneaking off at night to see her friends and smoking something that smelled absolutely horrible to Tangerine. The girl's parents became frustrated and when the girl got arrested for drug use, her parents took Tangerine and tossed her out on the street in order to teach her a 'lesson' about responsibilities. The girl was enraged and stormed up to her room. The parents would not allow Tangerine back in the house and there fore, she was forced to roam around by herself now. Tangerine has no idea if her sibligns are around or if they too, were dumped in the streets by themselves to fend. She is searching for her long lost siblings, hoping that she did have some living relatives still alive now. She still remembers the young girl, the good times that they had shared and secretly misses those wonderful times. She also has fond memories of her mother. Tangerine still wonders what happened to her father after he had left. Personality: Tangerine is pretty complex. She feels as though her beliefs are gone. She tends to mope around feeling sorry for herself. Tangerine does have a good sense of humor when she gets to know you and open up, but its rare because it will take someone special to get Tangerine to open up and relax a bit. She also tends to be a bit nervous around meeting others because she has no idea how they would treat her. She is incredibly shy as well, not really talking to people or looking at them directly. After a few minutes of talking with someone, Tangerine will tend to open up greatly and relax...however her guard will still be up. She tends not to trust others easily and will take a long time to fully trust another feline. This is all stemming from her father and the fear that one day if she opens up to someone they too, will disappear from her life. Tangerine is very reclusive and keeps to herself mainly. She's also pessimistic, not being very optimsitic with things. She automatically assumes that things will go sour because thats all she knows in her life...things going bad and sour and not once having a bright spot on her day or at all. She is very mellow and submissive going along with whatever is said. Tangerine doesn't really have the guts to say no, even though she feels in her gut that it was the wrong thing to do. She has a bit of a hard time standing up for herself. Tangerine tends to get along better with she-cats them Toms only because those bring back so many memories of her father and she doesn't want to even know him. Although one thing about Tangerine is that she does hold grudges for a very long time. If someone upsets her she will no doubted hold a grudge against them and act coldish toward them. She can be very sarcastic and witty, but not in the 'good' sense . She will answer someone rather rudely, depending on how she feels at that moment in time. Besides being submissive and pessimsitic, Tangerine tends not to like anyone bossing her around. She feels as though she's her own cat and can make decisions by herself without someone standing by and saying 'good girl' and give her a pat on the back. She tends to live life the way she sees fit.
