How brilliant was he. A fishing tournament? His opponent had only just told him how to catch one. His opponent. Before that, he had no idea how to spear one of the water creatures that swam through the stream. He had attempted it earlier, to catch one of them, but had failed miserably before being interrupted by a certain orange tabby. He had challenged the other brown tabby without thinking it through, and now he was probably going to lose unless he became a pro at this whole fishing business within the next, oh, minute or so. Why didn’t he challenge him in something he knew how to do, knew how to do well, like, say, who can claw each other’s fur off the fastest?
No, instead he was going to make a fool of himself. His ears twitched a few times in his annoyance. He hoped there wouldn’t be an audience. He had been here once before, not too long ago, actually, when he had met the reason for this whole fishing mess. Indigo, who didn’t actually remind him of anything indigo at all. Wolf had asked Stellar about fishing(hence this tournament) and had mentioned that he had met Indigo here at the stream. Well, for some reason unknown to Wolf, that just drove Stellar crazy.
He sighed as he remembered Stellar’s instructions on how to catch fish. The way he put it, it seemed simple enough. Why hadn’t he thought of that, anyway? Instead of watching the fish, staring at them as if he could spite them with his furious gold gaze, he should‘ve come up with a way to catch them. It should’ve been easy. All he had to do was catch a few fish. That’s all. Maybe he would get some beginner’s luck. Wolf believed in luck and superstitious things only when he wanted to… Correction; Only when they applied to him in a positive way. So, at the moment, he was hoping to get a lot of beginner’s luck. He would need it to beat Stellar.
