The toms initial reactions was joy. His plan worked! The femme didn't cry! Then she started speaking.
"Oh, no. I'm not looking for love... I never thought I'd find love, and I don't bother searching. I don't know... I just think that love could sometimes tear a cat down. Besides, I'll know that special tom when I see him."
[/i] Eagle nodded at this. It made sense, and he realized then that he totally agreed. Besides, every cat he'd ever loved, especially his sister, wound up dead. D. E. A. D. Dead. So they found another thing in common. And if love were real, it would find a way to you. He was about to announce his agreement, when Lavender crouched lower, giving an almost frightened appearance. Oh no, he thought, what did I do now? The next words that came out of her mouth were the words he was least expecting. "I'm sorry Eagle... I know you had special feelings for me, and for that, I thank you, but I don't want love; not yet. There's just something that tells me that one of us wouldn't make it..."[/b] The tom blinked, eyes clouding with confusion. What had he done to make her think that? He thought back. He had said she wasn't just a pretty face. He pressed pretty close to her inside the pumpkin and instead of running came back to her... and then he mentioned love. What a stupid thing to say! He groaned out loud at his own stupidity and frustration. Eagle took a deep breath and took down at the calico, suddenly at a loss for words. She looked completely and utterly pitiful, laying on the ground confessing to him her real feelings. His frustration at the situation was suddenly replaced by amusement. "I uh, well..." he mumbled stupidly, "The truth is, I'm not in love with you. Not at all. I agree with the first thing you said, I'll let it find me. Sorry about that, but theres no way I'd be in love with you! Eagle realized what he had just said, and widened his eyes and quickly added, "Not that you aren't attractive of course! It just... you know, right? Friends for sure though!"He shook his head at himself, and waited for the dappled femmes response, thinking about it. Had she really believed he was in love with her? Unable to hold it in, Eagle burst out laughing. "I'm sorry!" he managed to choke out, "Its just..." And A whole new wave of laughter found its way into his throat. ooc; I can just see Eagle now.. *blinks blinks* Uh, what??? @_@ [/blockquote] [/blockquote]

He admitted, the day had been a day filled with the most unusual events, and his leave from his old life was probably the best thing that had ever happened to the pampered pedigree. To anyone that would see him, would most certainly see how charming he truly was, both in appearance as well as personality. Ever since he had left, he had successfully managed to keep his coat in perfect condition, silky and shampooed, which of course, led him to receive many unusual glares from others felines, not that he really cared in all honesty, he was an entirely new cat now, and the chance to get muddy and dirty without humans caring and screaming about him having 'his next show' soon was good enough for him!
He trotted elegantly, tail flicked high. In all honesty, he had no idea exactly where his once clean paws were taking him, but he was just excited and delighted to see and find new things out here. He admitted, he wasn't the best at surviving outside the world he once knew, but he was pleased nevertheless to feel new experiences of hunting and defending for himself. The handsome tom was so distracted within his thoughts, that he had not even succumbed enough memory to realise where his paws had taken him. The gorgeous highlight of the heaven's only light bared gracefully down upon the earth, causing his shiny silver coat to somewhat glimmer under the embrace of the light, allowing him to stand out. Easily.
A smile merged along his maw as he scanned the area that he had managed to encounter. The odd shaped building that stood overhead peeked his interest. It was a barn, a fairly old one by the looks of it. Maybe, he could find a place to rest for the night, or probably, sources of food. Farms had food, lots of food. Right? Somewhat pleased with the idea, the silver tom proceeded forth, trotting still, but it wasn't until another aroma lingered in the air that distracted him entirely from his journey onward toward the barn. Instantly, he stopped, ears flickering to listen carefully. There were noises... voices on the wind. Instantly, he knew, he was not the only one out here tonight.
His heart began pounding faster as his pace steadied to a firm walk, and with every step he took, he grew determined to discover what was beyond the wall that blocked his vision. As he manoeuvred himself around the corner, the scent grew stronger, and it was then that he saw it. Two cats. The aroma stated all, the fear or possibly shock, something dramatic had occurred, and that was all he knew. Approaching carefully, his steps light, the moon's light beaming upon his silver fur, causing it to shimmer, revealing the gloss of his coat, his emerald eyes peering at the two felines, unsure if it was wise to proceed, yet, he smelt no threat.
Throughout it all, his smile never faded, as though there was no unhappiness in the world. Carefully, he stood before them both, noting an older male and younger female, the older male upon the depths of the soil, most preferably having the main part within the incident that may have recently occurred. Worry filled the tom, and he stood there staring for a long moment before he sat a little distance away. "Is... Is everything alright?" he stated with a concerned tone, yet, that deep charming tone still soothing, no matter how worried he sounded, it always seemed to give off a distinctive softness, one that could settle almost anything. "Can I help in anyway?" he asked, in hopes that everything... was alright. He hated to see others harmed, no matter who they might be.

Lavender was confused. What was so funny. Hoping she hadn't driven the older tom mad, she didn't take her eyes of off him, but stood straighter, just waiting for him to try and harm her, or give her kittens that she didn't want. She wasn't quite ready yet... A voice echoed inn her ears as a silver tom padded up behind her. "HOLY SHIT!!!" she yowled, jumping two feet into the air, twisting, to land back paws first onto the pumpkin above Eagle, so she could jump on top of a threat if needed.
Seeing another tom, she forced herself to quit panting. "I think... I'm fine..." the calico huffed, collapsing onto the pumpkin. "Don't sneak up on the lady," she murmured to herself, her eyes slitting until you you could barely see the starry, moon reflected, frosty night gaze through the blackness of the lit up night and the short, thin fur on the dappled she-cat's face. 'Two toms now, greeaaat...' she thought sarcastically.

Eagles gaze once again turned serious as he gazed upon Lavender whom was still not understanding. "I'm not going to hurt you," he reassured her, "I don't have feelings for you above friendship."
He smiled, his amber orbs sparkling innocently when another toms scent filled the air. Instinctively, Eagle crouched down, bared his teeth, and growled. Though refused to fight against another feline, he could give a quite fierce appearance if needed. Lavender screeched and flipped back onto a pumpkin top, fur slightly fluffed out. His amber hues sought out the other tom, and his gaze found its target. He let his eyes rest on another gray tom, though his pelt was much lighter and white splotches covered parts of it. He realized his stature wasn't threatening, and made his fur relax. Eagle let his claws slide back in.
"Is... Is everything alright? Can I help in anyway?"
[/i] Eagle blinked. Not only had this tom came without the usual fierce attitude, but he wanted to help? Though it wasn't all that unbelievable, he realized, wouldn't he be the same? He knew the answer was yes. "Yes. We're fine," he mewed at the same time his calico companion answered, "I think... I'm fine..."[/i] Curious, Eagle padded over to the tom and took in more of his unfamiliar scent. He smelt... cleaner than most strays. Could that be right? "Who might you be? He asked the silver and white tom. Quickly, he swung his head back to Lavender and added, "I'm very sorry I scared you," and bowed his head. ooc; I assume the posting order is Lavender, Eagle, then Jacob then? "HOLY SHIT!!!" Almost immediately, the silver tom stepped back, heart pounding faster than ever as the she-cat was flung almost two feet into the air. As she re landed, he swallowed nervously, stepping back a little more, somewhat shocked at her reaction. Although, he was much relieved to notice she had calmed, and he approached a little closer once more to hear her words.
"I think... I'm fine..." He sighed in relief, that smile once more returning feeling a little more relaxed as she too relaxed. "Don't sneak up on the lady," He did not mean to cause any harm. Very gently, he stood before her, his response calming and sincere. "I apologise madam." his voice soft, soothing toward her, his face showing slight guilt for his behaviour to cause her such shock.
"Yes. We're fine," As he had heard also emerge from the male tom that resided besides the female, he nodded to him. As the male tabby tom approached, he stood firm, tail flicked high to show this pride as well as honest decency and respect for his behaviour toward him as being the newcomer to their conversation, after all, he had somewhat interfered.
He too caught the scent of both the male and as well, the female, that unique distinctive aroma that each individual held upon their fur, and as for him, he had the unusual cleanliness about his coat, he had kept it in silken condition ever since he had left his home after all, but he did not really care much for the pampered life at all any more, he'd rather get dirty.
"Who might you be?" To that question, he cleared his throat before once more, his charming voice broke the silence, his smile soft and reassuring as he directed his main attention onto the tabby tom who had spoken to him. "Jacob, Jacob Silverpaw. But you can just call me Jake. " his tail flicked beyond his rump somewhat as he spoke. "And what about you?" his attention was soon diverted to the she-cat as the male tom spoke to her. "I'm very sorry I scared you,"
He watched with careful emerald eyes at the female before he stepped forward to her and it was then that the silver tom bowed fully to her. "It is a pleasure to meet you both." He smiled to her, his eyes seeming to glimmer within the bare of the moons light, revealing his charm. "And who is this lovely lady?" he asked, not in any method of flirtation, rather, it was just his personality; a true gentleman that he was. Jacob Estelle Silverpaw. The charmer.
ooc ;; Yep, that's the order. :]

Lavenders ears flicked gently as she layed up on her higher perch, looking down on the situation. "Nice to meet you, Jacob. I am Lavender. Lavender Mistpaw," she murmured with a polite dip of her small head. It wasn't as dramatic as her introduction to Eagle, But she had jumped onto a pumpkin hadn't she?
The fea stood back up onto of the large fruit, before gracefully launching herself off of the large pumpkin, onto a smaller one, to a wooden Peg, that tipped under the balancing calico, transporting her to the ground. It had been a picket that had once held a flimsy, paper sign that had told the farmer what was planted there, though no use now, when the seeds had already sprouted and grew what they were supposed to. The three cats stood there in the pumpkin patch, making a connect-the-cats triangle.
ooc: I guess so.

Eagle suddenly felt out of place as Jacob turned to communicate with Lavender, and he was sure Lavender didn't feel as comfortable around him as she had previously. When she hadn't came up with the conclusion that he was in love with her. He sighed, knowing that he must leave. He wished he could have stayed longer, not wanting to leave the company of other cats for long. He felt as though his loneliness had been eased entirely, and wasn't sure if he could face that kind of feeling again.
The tabby tom eased himself up, and cleared his throat. "It was nice to meet you Jacob. Perhaps we can talk some other time," he voice was polite, though he longed to talk to Lavender instead. He dipped his head briefly, and turned to the calico.
"Thank you for your company. It was enjoyable to spend time with another cat after being alone for so long," he started, his amber gaze already dimming with the prospect of being alone for who knows how long, "Thanks again for saving my tail with the human back there, I would have been a goner for sure. It really was nice to meet you, Lavender. I'm sure love will find you one day, it wouldn't dare skip a cat like you, and I say that purely as a friend.
"My wounds are much better, once again thanks to you, and I shall be taking my leave. I wish you the best Lavender. I really do. Perhaps one day our paths will have the fortune to cross once more," He then dipped his head deeply. His amber gaze sparkled once more as the honesty of his words shone through them, then once again turned into the blank look that loneliness tended to do.
Eagle turned to walk away. He looked once over his shoulder, sorrow now mixing in with the blank look in his amber hues, and muttered, "Farewell." The gray tabby then dashed away, hoping neither of the felines behind him saw the despair in his eyes. A tear ran down his cheek and he was immediately furious with himself. There was no need for this. He had been alone for two years now. He should have gotten used to it! But that didn't stop another tear from soaking into his fur.
ooc; xD. What a crykitty! lol. But goodbye. I'll see you when I get back, maybe we can start another thread for them to meet up again.

"Nice to meet you, Jacob. I am Lavender. Lavender Mistpaw," An ear flickered lightly as he listened. Lavender. Her name was beautiful, he admitted that, and surely, he would remember it. A soft polite of his head was given, but his head soon turned to face the male, who had once more spoken.
"It was nice to meet you Jacob. Perhaps we can talk some other time," Huh? He tilted his head somewhat, like a confused dog. Was he leaving? "Thank you for your company. It was enjoyable to spend time with another cat after being alone for so long," To that, he grinned, somewhat feeling imposing. Maybe it was just the matter of him suddenly appearing, and both of them appeared to be in a private discussion. To his own thoughts, he sighed, ears flattening.
"Thanks again for saving my tail with the human back there, I would have been a goner for sure. It really was nice to meet you, Lavender. I'm sure love will find you one day, it wouldn't dare skip a cat like you, and I say that purely as a friend." Of course, it was evidence enough now that the silver tom had most certainly interfered with a private discussion and a rather.. big matter, a matter that he himself did not mean to interrupt.
"My wounds are much better, once again thanks to you, and I shall be taking my leave. I wish you the best Lavender. I really do. Perhaps one day our paths will have the fortune to cross once more," The tom, he spoke with true dignity in his words, much like he himself did so, although, he himself was just pampered tom, a true gentleman as it were.
As he watched the male take his leave, he frowned, that guilt building up even stronger in regards. Had he made him leave? "Farewell." Before he could even repent his leave, the tom had left, leaving only the silver tom and the female behind. A light sigh escaped him before his gorgeous emerald eyes turned to face the she-cat. ".. I do apologise if I had interfered with anything Lavender." He bowed to her respectfully, his head somewhat low showing his guilt and sorrow for the other male tom leaving.
Had he said something wrong?

Lavender was touched by the tabby's parting words. It was all she could do to dip her head, losing her words in a maze in her mind. A thorn clawed at her heart as he raced away, leaving Lavender and Jacob alone. She bit back a yowl to call him back; she knew that they would cross paths again someday. Her black ear swiveled towards Jake as he spoke.
She whipped the rest of her head towards him once he had finished, her luminescent orbs wide. "No, you're fine!" she mewed quickly. "He would have had to leave sometime..." She turned the rest over her body towards him, and sat there, her tabby tail curled neatly across her front paws. She let her gaze travel up to the full moon, sitting neatly on top of the star-filled sky. "It's getting late..." she mewed indirectly, her voice just topping the music of the crickets in their moonlight symphony.
ooc: Aw... Bye Cloudy! Maybe they will meet up again.
