“Interesting.”
Those where the first words that left the orange tabby male as he replied to her answer to his question about her fears. So he found her fears interesting? It was a bit insulting but now that she thought about it she supposed it was slightly interesting. She knew her fear of perfection was different and a bit odd, it was her disorder that lead to this fear. It changed her way of thinking and the way she viewed things in her mind.
When he asked her why she wasn’t hiding, Raven couldn’t help but laugh. He was… he reminded her a lot of her brother, Sprite. Confident, flirtatious and a bit lazy, but she’d loved him nonetheless, even if he was annoying sometimes. Raven’s laughter faded and she frowned slightly as she grew silent. She missed her brother Sprite, he’d always been there to take care of her, now she was alone…
One of her worst fears had come to be, she was alone, on her own, her disorder isolated her from others, yet she longed for companionship. This longing is what kept her here with this tom, Soul. It was what kept her here fighting against her disorder, even though her mind screamed to her to run away from the tom, her heart told her to stay.
Her silver orbs turned to Soul as he seemed to be in a bit of a mental struggle, this confused her. She wanted to know what was bothering him, he’d seemed bothered earlier too. What was he hiding from her? Wasn’t it unfair that he wasn’t sharing but she was? Friends where supposed to share their feelings and talk to each other about them, right? Not just one share and the other listen.
"Sometimes I don't think it exists, Rave... Sometimes it's suffocating."
His voice cut through her thoughts and she turned to meet his golden hues. She blinked confused. Did he mean loneliness? Yes, it was suffocating but not existing? It felt very real, but was it really there? Or maybe it was another false fear implanted into her mind by her disorder. But the fear was very real, wasn’t it?
Raven was not utterly confused by this tom, what was he trying to do, but she felt he was being honest now. Emotion covered his face and reflected in his eyes, there was no barriers separating the two now, she could see into him now. What had changed his mind?
"I think... We shouldn't let each other go."
Raven felt her face heat up under her blackened fur. “W-what?” She stammered feeling rather embarrassed. What did he mean by that? She stayed silent as he continued to speak, she felt her heart pound in her chest as it clenched and swell. She felt tears form in her eyes as his words sunk in and pierced her heart, and rested deep within her soul. She bowed her head when he finished a couple tears fell from her silvery orbs. “T-thank you… Soul.” It was all she could say to him, he was right and for once in her life she felt she’d truly made a friend and was truly able to open up more than she’d ever believed she possibly could. “Thank you.”
Sniffing the ebony female wiped her eyes with her paw and smiled at the orange tabby before her. “You’re right…” She opened her silvery orbs and stared into his amber ones, she sat up and moved closer to the tom. “Then, lets promise…” She said feeling a bit excited and almost eager. It was hard to explain the emotion that flowed from her, the new formed power she felt over her fears. The new formed friendship she‘d just formed with this tom, Soul. “From now one, we don’t have to be lone by ourselves but together.” She smiled full heartedly. Soul… His name was promising, he’d really touched hers and she hoped he’d continue to touch it in ways she’d never thought would be possible for her. Somewhere within the ebony femme the barrier restraining her inside herself cracked slightly. Starting the beginning of the end for her isolation.
Ooc: Whooo this was a long and emotional post. ;D Yay for character development!

He saw the small, silvery tears fall from her face, and for some reason, the thank you she offered him felt more real than any other he'd felt before in his lifetime. He leaned in closer to her, purring warmly.
She was being so honest, and for that, she looked so much younger than she actually was. Her silver eyes were alight with emotion, and she was letting her expressive depths feed him reassurance from the very bottom of her own heart.
Without knowing it, they'd found themselves in one other, and it brought them closer than Soul ever thought he could get to another cat... how could he know someone so deeply if he didn't even know himself? How could he form bonds, when he couldn't trust that he was giving them everything they needed, and everything he could offer?
Why had he allowed himself to become so insignificant in front of the whole world without any other insurance other than his first real friend's shoulder to cry on? A part of him was proud. And a part of him had fallen into mourning.
Stay together... The prospect was so close he could feel it, feel the warmth and comfort that it was emitting. Yes, Raven had just managed to break into his soul in under an hour. Yes, he was chalked up on adrenaline and at the same time completely drained. And yes, he'd never felt safer in his entire life.
"I...." He began, their fur mingling in a festive mix of black and orange. A rush of something- happiness- entered his body, and despite the cold draft that had suddenly surrounded him, an unexplainable heat had enveloped them both.
"I promise."
{{ Let's end this thread here. Wow, that was one powerful piece. And damn, Neko, you sure can write. Sorry for taking so long to reply, I was pretty messed up this month. If you want to start a new thread, and let's say it's a couple weeks later, they can talk again? It was a fun thread, that's for sure. They can get into a little trouble C:<
