I thought I'd really lost y o u
Amber cried, desperate for something to help save her life. She glanced over at her friend, and saw the look in her eyes. Violet was looking at the tree, the tree that was cracking, the tree that was going to fall and get them killed. Amber gulped quickly, but watched Violet's next move.
Everything seemed to have sped up, because soon enough the tree was splayed across the river and Violet flung herself on top of it. Amber had a confused look in her eyes, but she remembered Violet having said some plan to her, but she'd been to scared to listen.
But instead of just staring and sitting helplessly, she moved, propelling herself towards the tree. Her paws hit the rough bark hard, but it felt good to be out of the water. She continued clawing her way up, her heart beating faster than ever now. Amber managed a few more tail-lengths before she colapsed, worn out from the day. but she still wasn't on the beach. After a small rest, she raised herself up, and pushed off with her legs. She went the rest of the length and landed softly on the ground.
At last! She collapsed underneath a tall oak, her heart slowly as she faded quickly away into a deep sleep. While she slept, she dreamt of the water and the waterfall. She tossed and turned, holding her breath as she thought she was acually underwater again. The replay of the close life-ending scared her, and she woke up quickly, covered in sweat and shaking from head to toe.
But she was still tired, and she fell back asleep almost immediately. The rest of her nap was peaceful, no dreams of raging waters or falling trees. Only of friends, pretty forests and rocks, and prey.
I'm sorry I put you in this danger

Violet could feel a rumbling in her stomach as she woke up. Nudging Amber awake she looked into her friends sleepy eyes. "I'm just going to catch ourselves some prey, I'll be back in a bit. ". Violet bounded up and into the woods. Oh, how nice the breeze felt in her fur. And the ground under her paws. Violet wished she could just run, run through the forest freely and forget everything. But Violet had a responsibility. One to her kittens, and one to her friend. And Violet wasn't going to let her responsibility slip. She was going to catch some prey to help her and Amer recover from that scary experience.
Violet Quickly scented the air, noting the smell of rabbit. Swiveling to find the source, Violet saw it scuffling under some leaves. Crouching down, ready to spring, Violet tensed her muscles, and sprang through the air. Violet landed on the rabbit, killing it instantly. Violet bent down to pick it up. Grabbing it in her jaws, she raced back to Amber.
AHHH Violet remembered something that she should've remembered yesterday. MR. Rabbit they had been away for a day and hadn't even realised about him. Violet pushed herself harder towards Amber. Finally her friends black rise and fall of her chest was spotted. Violet raced towards her, sending dust in all directions behind her. When she had finally reached Amber she nudged her. Amber, wake up, we need to go back to Mr. Rabbit, he'll be wondering where we went!" Violet starting running along side the stream, keeping her distance not to fall in again.
Finally she reached where Amber had fallen in. Now from here we just turn and go straight Violet looked around, her surrondings being vaguely farmiliar. She looked at the forest. In there, Mr. Rabbit was either very disappointed or desperately searching for them. Violet didn't know wht but she relly needed to find him.

The thought of devouring your friend's own b r e e d Amber's golden eyes blinked her awake, and the bright sunlight surprised her. While placing her paws over her eyes to sheild them in darkness, she stiffled a yawn. Violet had trotted away to catch them some prey, which Amber was thankful for. As the sun hid behind the clouds, she rolled over.
After stretching and yawning a couple more times, she stood up. Her optics skwinted as she gazed around her resting place. Her fur was dry now, after her imensily scary ride down the water fall. Amber walked forward, starting to move as Violet came back into view.
She watched as Violet made her way over, scurrying around in her own frantic way. Then Amber remembered, as Violet just had, that Mr. Rabbit was on his own, and they needed to return. Quickly she padded forward, not caring that her friend had only returned with a rabbit.
She raced back to their den, Violet beside her the whole time. She could smell the disapointment and scare in Mr. Rabbit, which made her push herself faster. As they aproached the den, Amber found the brown rabbit in the back of the den, wide eyes spread across his mask.
Amber breathed a sigh of relief. Are you ok, Mr. Rabbit? We hurried back in case you were scared and alone. She flattened the fur on her shoulders. The fur had stood up because of the scare she felt for her rabbit friend. Now she took another sigh of relief, and she was glad Mr. Rabbit was ok.
Her head craned backwards, turning to look at Violet. She blinked quickly, clearing her wettening orbs. She didn't take her eyes off the ginger and white femme as she walked forward to give Mr. Rabbit a lick on the shoulder. At first her eyes widened, and she felt blood rush around in her mouth. Her thirst made her want to rip into the rabbit, but she stood back. Trying to keep her face calm, she turned to the rabbit in front of her. She smiled kindly at him, then took a step back, steadying herself. The quench she'd felt earlier had already disapeared, and she was thankful as it did so.
It sends shivers along your s p i n e
Admin's Note on November 27th: This thread is being archived due to inactivity, sorry. We'll say that Amber and Violet continue to play around and have some little adventures and end up very good friends.
