The small orange cat, still smiling, directed his attention towards the approaching cat. His gold eyes scanned the figure, and lit up when he identified her as a cat of somewhat near his own age. To Robin, she was a diminutive orange kitten, the exact same colour as himself! Yet, she didn't share his spotted pattern. He was proud of his spotted pelt, he wouldn't give it up for the whole world! Anyways, she seemed nice! He listened to her announce her encounter with a ghost. "That's weird," His eyes narrowed with thought, attempting to remember something. "These kids came to my human's house once. One looked strangely like a pumpkin, the other like a witch. They knocked on the door, and cried 'Trick or Treat!' and then my human gave them some of this shiny stuff!" He recounted, a smile creeping back onto his face. He thought he understood what this 'ghost' that Lilly saw was now. But he kept his mouth shut, Nest seemed to believe it.
"Maybe, maybe not," Robin mewed mysteriously. "It would be good though if there was actually a way to summon ghosts! That would be so cool," Robin purred pleasently. He'd enjoy being able to do that. Imagine what you could find out! Anything, anything at all. There really wasn't much he'd not be able to discover. Hilarious as well. He couldn't think of the fun he could have. But, he pushed these impossible thoughts out of his mind. There was better things to do than dream.
The amber tom couldn't resist bursting out laughing as Nest struggled to escape from the mud. He padded over and poked the tabby with a paw. "Come on, let's get you out!" Grinning, he tried to pull him out by loosely gripping Nest's scruff with his small, yet spiky teeth. He reversed, but it seemed that the other kitten was stuck fast. "Haha, Nest! It looks like you're trapped in there for the rest of your life!" He teased him, prodding him playfully with a paw and backing slightly away. Nest couldn't catch him!

Lilly blushed slightly, fortunately she had fur over her cheeks. She smiled softly. "Shiny stuff? Withces? What if its magic stuff that makes them into REAL witches?" Lilly said, trying to get attention that was slowly drifting away from her. She listened to Nest as he spoke.
"That would be cool! I could talk to my daddy, if he's dead..." She smiled. That would be nice, talking to her dad. But he probally wasn't dead. "My daddy was really smart! He taught me how ta hunt!" She puffed out her white chest proudly.
Lilly giggled as she saw what had happened to Nest. "Haha! You're stuck!" She smiled as she tapped him. You could pull and I could push, person who looks like me... I don't know your name..." She swished her tail shyly. She went to Nest's back end. "I'm Lilly." She still smiled, it getting bigger and bigger until her eyes squinted.

Robin bounced up and down slightly, springing about with excitement. He tried, and failed, to calm himself down, but it was way too much fun to take seriously! He didn't want to make himself look too weird though, so he just stood there, smiling widely and purring ever so quietly. The tom realized his short orange pelt was getting mucky, so he swiped his gravelly tongue over his body. After his quick wash was completed, he swerved his head back to Lilly, who was talking again. "Well, yes, that's is really possible! 'Cause, you know what they did? They ripped them apart and ATE THEM!" Robin Quickwhisker cried in delight, and he ran the idea through his head. That was so strange! He'd never understood humans. Weirdy freaks... Anyways, he was waaay away from them now! So he had no reason on Venus to worry.
"Oh, I know how to hunt! A little... I caught a mouse once! Plus, I almost got this rabbit! But it excaped. It was a shame really, I was starving. Anyways, I went home and my human fed me this stuff. It tasted a little like meat but it was dry and crunchy. It was soooo freaky," The amber coloured tom rambled on for a bit about his previous life, not taking any notice of what the others thought about what he was on about. "You'd both be good at hunting, I bet! Urrm, orange cat - you're, well, not too big so you could sneak around easily, they'd never hear you coming! Although you have an orange coat you can still avoid their watch easily! Oh, and Nest, your pelt is perfect! It will really blend in with bracken and mud, so you could be camoflaged as you crept up on them!" Robin smiled throughout his speech, then sat down in conclusion.
"Person who? Haha! I'm Robin. Come on, that could work!" Robin giggled when he listened to Lilly. She was so funny! He trotted up to Nest again. "M'kay, Nest, we're gonna get you out of here! One, two, three!" He pulled on the tabby's scruff, hoping he could dislodge him from the squelchy mud.

Nest was shrank in embarrassment and felt hot under his fur despite the mud. Robin had noticed he was stuck. Well, at least Nest knew that Robin was nice, and wouldn't leave him stuck there at all. That wouldn't have been very nice. Ahhhh! he said as Robin tried to pull him out, but he didn't go anywhere. His legs seemed to be firmly stuck in place, and the rest of him was very attacked to his legs. Nest was alarmed about the possibility that Robin and this Lilly wouldn't be able to get him out. Not because it might mean he would be stuck there forever but because it might mean they woudl have to go get adults to help. And they were never fun.
I guess that could work! But what if all three of us got stuck in here together! And then the mud dried up, and it would be like being stuck in the ground instead of being stuck in the mud! Wouldn't that be weird! Three kittens like us, just sticking out of the mud. That thought seemed pretty amusing now, but the more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed that that could happen to them. Then everyone would make fun of them, all stuck in the ground until it rained again.
To help get himself get looser in the mud, he tried wiggling his legs back and forth as much as possible. But he hoped he wouldn't have to do that for too long because it was making his legs really, really tired, and they were already sore from having to fight his way out of the box, wich was still sitting next to him a few feet away.
((OOC: Hah! I managed to get on!))

"Okay, Robin. I like that name. It's handsome." She smiled, then went to her postion. "Mmkay, I'm ready." lilly put her side to Nest's back, and waited for Robin to come over.
"Hurry, or I'll get stuck, too!" She giggled at the thought of her being all muddy. "You know, I had to do this once. For my friend. She was a calico. She got stuck in the mud and I rescued her." She puffed her chest out proudly, though, once again, her story telling was extremely exxagerated. Her friend, Molly, was stuck in sand, much easier to pull someone out of. And it was in Sally's back yard. Not on the road.
But Lilly had to impress the boys if she wanted to get far in life, right? She giggled. Impress the boys. She wasn't that grown up yet. She was only six months old. "Okay, Robin, get in your spot!!" she squealed, pushing a little on Nest's back.

Sometimes excitement can confuse a cat. It can hold back his intentions, and prevent him from performing at his best. Or it can urge a cat on way past his expectations. The little spotted feline was almost buzzing with joy and he sat, fidgeting as he sat on the old. one single ear swivelled around, picking up even the most diminutive sounds of Nest's speech. "Well, that'd be a once-in-a-lifetime sight to see! Wow, that'd be so strange, imagine if a load of other cats got by and got stuck as they were trying to help us? Then there'd be, like, 60 of us just stuck in all this mud! All the cats in Nenbrook!" Robin Quickwhisker tried not to laugh. Of course, it wouldn't be as funny if it did actually happen, but the chances of that were low so he might as well make a comical joke out of this situation. Why waste anything so near perfection?
The orange kitten thought for a moment. If this wasn't perfection, what was? A day out with Magic? No. Fern? No. Dandi? Suddenly he made up his mind. He wouldn't think about anything else but the present, this was too good an opportunity to be wasted, really. So he just curled his tail around his paws, flicking it slightly as the other orange kitten began to speak again. His face suddenly turned scarlet. Most cats wouldn't know the difference under all of that thick fur, but he did alright as Lilly labeled his name 'handsome'. Suddenly realizing what he was doing, he decided to speak up. How embarrassing. "Yeah, I know," he stated cooley, "Your's isn't all that bad either." Robin heard her begin to talk once more, but he didn't trot off instantly, he decided to hear her story first. "Wow, Lilly. I'm almost impressed. Almost! Now come on, let's see if we can do the same with Nest!" His voice for the first two sentences was slightly deeper and calmer, before he slipped back into his light, humorous tone for the rest of his speech.
As his ears picked up Lilly's voice once more, he swiftly dodged around Nest and took up his alleged position on the opposite side. Slowly, he leaned down, and grinning at Nest, he leaned down to grab a hold of the tom's scruff. "Come on Nest, try and lean as much as you can towards me, we're getting you outta there!" Robin encouraged his new friend brightly, and prepared to attempt to dislodge Nest from the sickeningly brown, filthy mud. Before he started to pull, he hesitated; the small cheerful cat really didn't want to hurt this other kitten! But, he had a good hold and Lilly was there to help him. It's work fine! "Alright, are you ready now Lilly? One, Two, Three!" After the penultimate word in his sentence, he crouched down, ready to go. After the final word however, he leaned back on his haunches, slowly putting pressure on Nest's body and attempted with all his might, power and skill to free the poor kitten from the ominous mud. Squeezing his eyes tightly closed with concentration, he pulled.

((OOC: I'm here!)) Nest, losing a bit of the confidence that he had gained in talking to the kittens, who were talking like he wasn't there. Well, maybe this was better than them talking to him. If he didn't say anything at all, that meant he couldn't say anything embarrassing.
Nest did as robin told him, and it felt like his belly was coming loose, but his legs were determined to stay in the mud. He said as much. Ahhhh! It feels like you're pulling my legs off! He wiggled his legs around bit, trying to loosen them to help. But as he tried to push himself out, his front paws kept getting deeper into the mud and it felt like he was sinking.
His feet were starting to get cold now. Not the pleasant coolness like before. Deeper down in the mud, it was colder than even he liked. And the mud on his back was drying! Ugh! He didn't like to get that dirty! He wondered if Robin was using his teeth to grab onto his neck. Good for him, if he was. The mud must taste worse than it felt. Then Nest realized he would find out soon enough in his next bath.
Admin's Note on November 1st: This thread is being archived as a result of the thread clear-out. If anyone wishes to re-open it, just contact me and I'll see what I can do. For now, let's just say that: -Nest is officially out of the box and tries to clean himself up a bit -They laugh a bit and then have some fun before going their separate ways
