[Opened thread]When I look up at the sky The stars, see, are sparkling
Bright Emerald Orbs danced with excitement as they peered upon the vase ocean of orange and greens. A mixed colored cat, a calico to be exact, had wandered himself into what was now his favorite place of all. A pumpkin Patch. Admiring it's orange and green fall-like colors, the tom took in every detail of the sense. It suited him well really. The Orange in his fur and the green in his eyes matched the skin of the pumpkins and their rooty vines that attached them to the ground. The sun rose quietly and silently over the horizon, putting the stars to bed. The rising sun had a way of reflecting off each round eatable vegetable, it was very soothing to the tom. Calming, it relaxed him. He could probably spend all day out here basking in the sun on one of these round hallow orange stones.
His pink pads excitedly Begin their adventure as he trotted through the vase ocean of color. He gingerly sniffed around taking in every scent and detail of this new place. He would learn to love it, and the rest of everywhere. He was a stray now, and as a stray he lived outside on his own. This also meant he had to find food by himself. 'Birds, fish, bugs.' He thought listing what things he could eat out here that were easy to catch and on the menu of his diet. Fish sounded so good right now. 'Maybe I'll hit the river after this place.' He thought, as he leaped upon one of the large round hallow vegetables. They smelt funny, but good funny. 'Wonder if I can eat them.' He thought, recalling smelling this smell around the time the cold season began to come. He believed Jess called it Thanksgiving. Holiday as humans called it. He liked those times, he got a lot of food scrap food afterwords.
Stretching out so his front end was low on the smooth surface of a pumpkin he so carefully placed himself upon, and his lower half raised high in the air. A wide yawn escaped his maw as his tongue rolled out of his mouth before his lips closed again and he licked them slightly. Laying down on the large yummy smelling mass, he curled up into a multi-colored ball, burring his face in his paws, the tom quickly started to drift to sleep, basking in the warm sun on a beautiful smelling plant. Alert ears flicked every so often at the slightest sounds around him.
Each giving off its own light Like the people on this planet

Intreging scents wafted around the air, pumpkin wasn't a thing that many cats were used to. Among the vast patch of orange vegetables, another cat twisted through the strange sphere-shaped things. The feline's semi-long pelt was an inky black wash in contrast to his bright surroundings. His build was reasonably tall, quite muscled yet he wasn't the fastest thing on the planet. The stray tom still managed to dodge through the plants without much difficulty though, he wasn't useless. Osprey's feelings were somewhat neutral to his enviroment. This was kind of average. Nothing special. As he twisted through the Pumpkin Patch, he wondered why he had made his way here. His amber eyes almost matched with the shade of the pumpkins, and they guided him through the area.
Osprey Coldenwing noticed that this place wasn't as deserted as he had presumed. A calico cat was there too, which surprised him. He could help creeping slightly closer, until he could identify the tom even more. He remembered him from somewhere, he crouched down behind a pumpkin and racked his brains. Aha! It was that one he had met when he first arrived, before he went hunting with Lilly. "Hey," he mewed calmly as he padded slowly up to the multi-coloured feline. "It's you! Twiight, is it?" he decided to make sure he had got the right cat - if not that would be way to humiliating: much past Osprey's standards. ooc:; This is Osprey's payback for going with Lilly before. I'm sorry it's so short, I'm exhausted at the moment!

Yeah, so I, too Want to shine particularly bright The soft sound of rustling of the pumpkin vines reached the Calico's ears, however they did not register to his brain for the tom was fast asleep. Only slightly awear of the things around him, a voice snapped him out of his light nap. Blinking his emeralds several times, Twilight turned his head and spotted a familiar black tom with amber orbs. A smile spread across the felines maw and he stood up from the pumpkin, only to stop and stretch deeply and yawn widely. "Yeah, you got the right cat." He chuckled when he questioned his name.
Sitting comfortably on the pumpkin, Twix yawned again and licks his lips before speaking to the black tom. "Osprey right? How has the stray llife been treating you?" He questined, curious to know how the tom had coped since he has saw him on the old road when he first got here. He knew he was new to these parts, however not too new for he arrived shortly after Twilight had himself. "Sorry I left before, I didn't want to intrude or anything, you seemed to be having fun with the kit." He apologies for not joining the small kit female and him when they left from the old road. He would have felt like the third wheel if he'd gone.
Hopping down from the pumpkin, the calico stopped down right in front of the solid jet black tom and gave him a slight grin. The other tom was nice company, of course Twilight enjoyed any kind of company, unless he wanted to be alone. A slight rumble in the felines stomach told him he was hungry, which made him have to ask. "Are you hungry? Maybe we can see about breaking into one of these." He said gently tapping the pumpkin he had been sitting on before with his tail. A soft thumping sound was created as his tail hit the thick skinned vegitable. I close my eyes and make a vow in my heart And entrust my dreams to that shooting star

The Pumpkin Patch was unsually silent, there seemed to be nothing around to make much noise. Apart from two feline figures standing out among the vegetables. The one with the darker fur, named Osprey, shifted his weight almost uncomfortably from paw to paw, and smiled his not-yet-that-sure smile. "Tiring, life, isn't it?" The tall black tom stated simply, returning a small yawn himself. "Good, good. That would be pretty embarrasing if it wasn't..." He edged his tone with a hint of humour, and he continued to smile.
"Yep, that's me," Osprey confirmed Twilight's suspicions. "It's not be awful so far, I've been quite lucky really. How are you going then?" Wow, that must have sounded incredibly boring. How uninventive, Osprey! The ebony feline scolded himself inwardly. "Oh no, that was my fault really. I'm just like that at times," He apologised (once again) rapidly before leaping onto a pumpkin himself. "How do you balance on these things?" He chuckled as he slid off accidently.
The inky shadow of a cat listened to Twilight's idea, and he agreed quickly. "Sounds good - I'm starving. But, there's food in these things?" One charcoal paw shot out and tapped an orange vegetable on the side, wondering what was hidden within it. His mind drifted off, and he scanned his memory for any records of eating something like this. Plus, how was it possible to break into a pumpkin? They seemed pretty solid to him. Then again, Osprey wasn't the most clued-up cat in Nenbrook. There must be so much he didn't know so far... ooc:; Sorry for the wrong account. And the short post...

Whenever I'm worried about something, I come here Just like then, I'm on my way to my dreams The mixed colored tom nodded in agreement to the midnight tom's first statement. "Yes, very tiring indeed." He licked his lips and yawned again still slightly dazed from his short nap. Laughing at his solid black friend's uncurtain comment the calico tom replied; "I don't know of any other calicos so I think you're safe." He chuckled good manneredly, flicking his ears slightly at the soft rustling of the vines within the pumpkin patch. Flicking forward toward the other tom, they drunk in the sound of his voice as he spoke smoothly, this tom humored Twix he was different. Strong built but very aloof and somewhat oblivious.
Twilight gave another nod as he listened to Osprey speak, saying he's been quite lucky so far, as has Twix. "That's good to hear, I'm glad I can say the same for myself as well." He gave a loopsided grin, being a stray wasn't horrible, infact Twilight loved it. After all he'd been through as a house cat he was glad to be free. Sure he didn't have the hard and canned premade food but here he could catch his own. Get in touch with his wildside. Now wasn't that exciting.
When the ebony tom tried to jump up onto the pumpkin with Twilight but soon fell off the calico cat had to laugh. "The top is more falt, unfortunately I don't think there's room for two up here." He chuckled before tilting his head to the side as Osprey asked about the pumpkins and he chuckled. "Yeah, I've seen my old humans eat them before. They smell delicious." He commented, sliding off the orange skin shaking his fur slightly he groomed down the fur that stood up before looking around. "Hmm, I'm not sure..." He admited, tapping one of the pumpkins with his paw. This would be a challenge getting one of these suckers open. "Hmm..." He sounded thinking as he looked around. There had to be a way to break these things open.
stretching out the calico tom put his front paws on the pumpkin and retracked his claws and dug them into the pumpkin's thick skin and drug his claws down making thin lines in the pumpkin's skin, small thin shavings peeled off it's surface. Twilight smiled and took a bite of one of the shavings. "We can claw our way in." He meowed, it was the only way he could think of. But unable to fulfil them "Maybe this is the end of the line" There are days when I say weak things like that OoC:|| Haha it's OK. xD

Vegetables aren't usually incredibly talkative. So, it turned out that the voices belonging to the pair of felines were the only voices around. In contrast, they certainly weren't the only living thing. The ebony tom lifted his head slightly, and scanned the horizon with his amber eyes. Something wasn't right. He was certain of it. There was definately some kind of disturbance in the air. Some leaves crackled to his left; Osprey's fluffy black head swung immediately towards it. He shook his head again, realizing how silly he must look. Hoping Twilight hadn't noticed, he diverted his attention back to the calico as the multi-coloured cat spoke. "It's wearing me out," Osprey feigned a light-hearted, comical tone. He was worrying about those noises he had heard, they were almost, well, scary. But Osprey was a cat! A bold adult feline. He wasn't allowed to be scared.
"That's good to know," Osprey mewed calmly, directing his attention firmly to his companion. He decided he liked Twix. The calico didn't seem a bad cat at all, not that the charcoal cat knew him outstandingly well. He nodded calmly as the other cat announced that his life as a stray hadn't been awful either. It was good to know - Osprey was pleased that this place wasn't sooo bad and scary. He certainly hadn't knocked into too much trouble so far. "Are you sure?" The inky shadow of a feline questioned when Twilight said his humans regularily devoured these orange plants. Osprey twstingly poked a pumpkin again, and when his blow made no impact, he whacked it harder. "Hmmm indeed! This'll be hard," He estimated how much it would take to break in.
"That seems better!" Osprey Coldenwing mewed more confidently as Twilight suggested using their claws. Slipping his white dagger-like claws from their sheaths, he raked the side of the nearest pumpkin, mimicing Twilight's tactics with pleasure. He was peeling the pumpkin! He continued on, slicing amber flakes from the plant. CRACK! There it was again. He dashed over to where the sound was coming from, and he opened his jaw slightly to scent the air. Something was weird, strange, not right. Some kind of animal like smell had hit his scent glands, but it was unusual to him. He was doubtful of what it could be. "Twix? You heard that, right?" ooc:; Seen as though they are both involved in the plot, I thought I'd bring Caesar, my dog in? Nothing goes right all the time, and it'll be a nice introduction for them both. =)

Ooc: No, no that's perfectly fine. Need a little drama to sturr things up a bit in this thread. xD Haha But every time, I remember That starry sky where I looked for a shooting star The calico tom gave a toothly grin to the jet black tom beside him. He was very much enjoying the up-beat company. Osprey was a delight to have around. Clear daggers continued to claw their way into the orange colored plant before the calico tom. Contently he licked the shavings off his paws and from under his claws. It tasted good, a little odd but good nonetheless. Licking his lips a couple times the mixed-hued feline was just about content with his small fill. 'I'll probably go fishing later.' He thought if he was still hungry a little bit later. Maybe he would ask Osprey if he wished to join him, as stated before he enjoyed the tom's company.
Then, suddenly like a gust of wind there was a crack sound. Twilight's fur spiked up in a slight start. His head jerked toward where he heard the sound his ears erect on his head as he listened carefully for any other noises. "Twix? You heard that, right?" Osprey's voice reached Twilight's auds and he gave a short nod. "Yeah... Yeah I did..." He uttered back slowly trotting over to the tom where the noise had come from.
Touching his nose to the ground Twilight's nose winkeld at the very smell of what he smelt. It was odd and somewhat familiar. 'Where have I smelled this scent before... not this one but what it in inparticular...' A soft silent shudder ran down his spine and Twix's lips curled into a soft but silent hiss like growl he didn't like this feeling he was getting in the pit of his stomach. Something wasn't right. The wish I made when I was little Hasn't changed even now

Have you ever had the feeling that you're being watched? Not particularily pleasant. But, Caesar wasn't exactly one who was watched much, he was usually the watcher. The chocolate doberman strode through the shadows, remaining as inaudible as possible as it was for an animal of his size. The dog's brown eyes flicked suspicously from place to place, his legs moving swiftly but agilely, he wasn't going to make any un-necessary mistakes this early on. He spotted a pair of cats not too far off, and a devilish smile crept onto his lips. Perrrrfect. This could work out quite nicely. His confidence rose and rose, until a major problem occured. The only way he could remain in the shadows would be leaping over a huge pile of sticks. It wasn't high, but it sure was long. Not considering the options for a second, he bunched up his hind legs and propelled himself through the air, before landing on the other side. A twig cracked loudly, and he winced slightly at the noise. That was one too many mistakes for his liking.
Meanwhile, a charcoal black tom shared a friendly conversation with a calico he had just met Osprey allowed a smile to creep onto his face as he spoke with Twilight, he seemed a great cat to be around. He swiped a large ebony paw across a pumpkin, and he examined the shreds of orange on his claws. Bracing himself, he leaned forwards and bit a peice slowly off, and let the flavour roll all over his tongue. "This isn't that bad, really, is it?" He purred to Twix, devouring the other shavings too. He soon forgot the pumpkin though, there was definately something there. "Twilight, come here! I think this is something big," his voice remained strictly calm, he ignored the foreboding danger of this situation as much as it was possible. He wasn't going to freak out over some hedgehog. The tall dog decided this was the time, he shot out of the bushes and flew at the black cat. He pinned him down, snarling fiercely. "So, what do we have here then?" He teased, slicing a sharpened claw harshly over its silky dark forehead. A small trickle of crimson blood trickled from the wound, and the charcoal feline cried out in pain. Caesar cruelly smirked, and glanced over the calico cat threateningly. "Don't you even think about trying anything," He warned, still grinning. He quivered, amazed at how much he had missed the sight of blood. Hunger rumbled in his belly, but he resisted the urge to rip the ebony tom open there and then.
ooc:; One blockquote is Osprey, two is Caesar. Underlined speech is Caesar, not is Osprey. :]

ooc:; She can if she want. xD Caesar generally likes dogs, but he goes crazy when he sees cats. He's really quite nice when there's no kitties there... I think cats killed one of his family in the past and he goes crazy with revenge.

With a twitch of his whiskers Twilight carefully took a step forward and sniffed at the ground where the scent was strongest. Why did this scent seem so familiar to the calico tom? It was so familiar but different so how and he knew he couldn’t trust it. The scent alone sent shivers down the calico’s spine. Then suddenly from behind one of the large round pumpkins leaped forward a dog, a large Doberman. With a gasp of surprise the calico tom jumped back with wide green orbs staring at his friend under the large dog’s weight with crimson liquid dripping down his forehead.
The fur on Twilight’s back erected and his tail puffed up to twice it’s normal size. “What do you want mutt?” The calico tom spat with venom in his voice showing off his sharp canine teeth. A deep growling hiss emit from the calico tom’s throat as Osprey cried out in pain. About to jump the dog, the canine threatened him not to do anything. Hesitant Twilight didn’t move fearful for Osprey’s life. “What do you want from us?” He questioned again with a hiss, keeping up on his toes in case the dog decided he wanted to attack him instead.
‘Dogs, I hate them.’ He growled lowly to himself mentally as his emerald orbs never left the dog’s frame. Occasionally he would glance down at Osprey to make sure he was alright. He wanted to tell his friend to run so they could try and escape but the dog was too close and would hear their plan. ‘Damnit what do I do?’

A crackle sounded above, and as the black cat bent his head back his amber eyes watched a few grey clouds as they rolled in. He would have sighed deeply, but he rapidly twisted his head back towards his captor, embarrassed at exposing his own throat. Osprey tried to conquer his fears, and challenge the dog. But his fear took over him and all he could do was squirm uncontrollably, hoping to break out from the canine's harsh grip. Blunt claws pressed against his shoulders and he glanced upwards at the long muzzle that could easily close around his throat. Panting deeply, he calmed down. Feigning some extra confidence, he made a sudden jerk, and scrabbled to his feet. Unfortunately, the ebony tom felt some ivory white fangs stab into his scruff. Pah. Pathetic felines. All they could do was run. Now he was in power. Better than the last time. Now, he would get revenge. Revenge for himself, revenge for his brother. This feeling felt good. Very good. He felt a squirm underneath his pads, but he held firm. No puny cat would escape him! He was an all powerful doberman! His ears swivvelled towards the other tiny thing, this time it was a tri-coloured one. An ugly mix of brown white and black. Ewww. This one was uglier though. With it's horrible halloweeny eyes... "Mutt? Mwahaha. You call me a mutt? How can you call me that when you're just a smelly old cat. Of not importance or significance whatsoever," His voice was a snarl, his eyes narrowed. He felt a sudden movement under his paws and he sprang up to re-trap his captive. Did he really think it'd be that easy? Oh, the green-eyed one was talking again. What did it want? Caesar rolled his eyes and ignore its question, scaping a blunt claw over the black cat he had pinned down.

In raged emerald orbs glared at the much larger creature before him that very successfully held captive the calico tom's friend. At the dog's provoking words the calico tom hissed with a mix of a growl. "Rarrr, let him go before someone gets hurt, mainly you." He growled out an half empty threat to the dog. However when Osprey tried to get away the dobermen held him tight under his massively larg paws. Glaring hard at that paw, the calico though long and hard about what to do. 'He's much bigger than me, and with Osprey in his captivity I'm at a large disadvantage here. However if I lung for a strong attack I can throw him off and hope to free Osprey.' His eyes glanced up at the large dobermen's and his lips curved up once more in a low hiss.
Firy emerald orbs never left the dobermen's as Twix continued to conduct a plan to free Osprey and get rid of this nasty canine terror. 'He may be larger but if I attack his legs he will lightly fall with no tail to keep him balanced that is likely a eighty persent chance, however.' His eyes narrowed down at the dobermen's hind quorters, since he was small he could only attack one leg, in his possition Osprey could be killed before he could attack another. His best go was for the leg that held down Osprey, it was his front leg, and he would most likely not fall if it was the one attacked but it would likely gain Osprey's freedom.
Without warning the calico male lung forward and latched out at the canine's ankle that connected to the paw that firmly held Osprey down.

The ebony feline relaxed his body, breathing slowly and trying to regain control of the situation. His amber eyes glanced warily at the snarling canine above him, and he flinched at Caesar’s harsh voice. Meanwhile, the Doberman bawled out some cruel laughter as the puny feline before him decided to speak. “Me? Let him go? Don’t make me laugh, feline.” His voice was full of taunting humour and his tone was snarling and wild with confidence. Caesar could easily identify that the cat was planning something, but he was calm and confident that it wasn’t anything that might affect his own plots anyway. In the end, it was only a tiny cat! Stupid little creatures. All they could think about was themselves. Sometimes their friends, going around protesting against the canine side of Nenbrook. He let out a wail as some sharp things stuck into his ankle. The dog cried as he staggered away from the felines, but his cry soon changed into a fierce snarl. Osprey took his chance, dashing away from the Doberman without giving it a second consideration. As the canine approached again, he lashed out with one large, ebony black limb.
The dog retreated again, blood oozing from his nose. The cat’s long claws had easily sliced a large cut, and he began to growl with anger. Osprey’s thoughts were clouded with fury and wild determination to destroy this Doberman, but he managed to control himself accordingly. “Twilight, listen,” he whispered under his breath, “I don’t think we’re going to beat this dog. He’s twice the size of both of us put together, and not to mention he’s angry now. He’ll be expecting an attack now. So, I say we run. Look over there. You can see a small hole in those brambles, I think we can get through them easily. But he’s too big. Get ready to go. I’ll run over and distract him, and you start running. I’ll follow and lead him right into the spikes. Oh, and thanks so much for letting me go!” His words came out in a flurry of rushed ideas, as the long-limbed dog came closer and closer. Osprey bunched his muscles, and darted up to the dog. Caesar was surprised when the cat came to a stop right next to him, but he dipped his head and rapidly snapped his jaws closed, aiming for the inky black cat. But his fangs snapped through thin air, as the lithe figure leapt over his shoulder. Caesar swung around his massive chocolate-brown head, and snarling, he aimed blow after blow at the feline. Osprey only had so long before he’d be caught, and he silently begged Twilight to go soon. He couldn’t even think of what could happen. He shuddered, leaping once again.

Ivory daggers sunk into hard fleshy sink covered by thin hair. The dobermen wailed with pain and just as pained the black cat under his paw got free. Smirking mentally, Twilight growled as he was flung off the dog's ankle and landed back first into a pumpkin. "Itte." He gasped, as the wind was knocked out of him. Sliding to the ground with a definate slump the calico regained his breath after having it winded from him. Emerald eyes franticly looked up to see Osprey taking his revenge on the dog and getting a good chunk out of his nose. Twilight, although he would not admit it due to his great modesty, he was proud for what he did. Osprey could be dead now if not for his actions.
Once the jet black cat was away from the now very angered dog he came over to Twilight and told him to listen carefully. Twilight did so, with a flick of his ears he listened to Osprey and he nodded. 'Yeah, even with us both free we're at a great disadvantage when it comes to size.' He agreed mentally, his emerald orbs never leaving the dog as it drew closer and closer to him and his friend. Slowly the calico made it up to his four paws and pulls his lips back into a hiss as the dog neared more, the fur on his back and tail once more bristled.
When Osprey told him the plan his eyes followed where he told him to look and he nodded. "Good idea, alright, I'm ready when you are." He whispered in a hushed tone so the dog would not hear their plan and find a way to look past it. Even though he thought dogs where stupid he would never underestimate them. With a thanks from the black cat he smiled and nodded before tensing up to get ready to run as he distracted the dog. First leap Twilight watched for a moment before taking off in the direction he was pointed toward with a blot of speed. Hopefully Osprey wouldn't get caught and would follow.
