Indigo laughed as she raced through the woods as fast as her paws could caried her, determined to beat Stellar to the river. As she approached it she took a sharp left and dashed into a small hollow at the bottom of an oak where the rich earthy scents would mask her scents. Now she only had to worry about a giggle giving her away. She smirked. This was going to be so fun! She'd wait till Stellar got her and then jump out and surprise him. Yes! Ooh this would be great. He might even think he'd beat her! She giggled quietly then paused. No giggling! she colded herself though the thought made her want to burst out in a new fit.
She couldn't wait to try and fish too. Ice-fishing! It sounded so cool, so...stray! She bit her lip to keep form laughing. Great new adjective. It was definately gonna stick around a bit. Crouching there in the hollow, waiting for Stellar, Indigo felt happier than she had in a long while. She felt at the top of the world. The only thing that could mar her mood would be if Stellar got all patronizing and bossy trying to teach her how to fish. Indigo pulled a face. Let him try! She'd show him Indigo Wintertrap did not take orders from anybody.
Her orbs danced playfully as she peered out, waiting for her unlucky victim to arrive at the scene of the crime-to-be. She smirked.

Stellar trotted up the small deer path to the stream. He was excited to get some fresh fish. He couldn't remember the last time he looked at a fish, let alone eat one. In fact, he kinda forgot what fish looked like.
"Don't catfish have whisker things? And they have those awful barbs. Better tell Indigo that when I get there. She might not even know. Then she could get pricked in the nose by it. How would I get it out?" Stellar said. As he got closer and closer to the stream, he didn't see any other cat there. 'Maybe I got here before her... She was running terribly fast, though... Hmmm.' He looked around him. "I'll wait a bit, and see if she catches up with me," Stellar said to himself, then he sat on his haunches and took this time to groom himself. "Teachers do have to look nice," he said, laughing softly.
After a few minutes, he got up, and went on his way. He stopped at a bush, and looked up, looking at the beautiful berries on it, though they were dried. He continued on after this, and came to a turn. He stopped, and sniffed intently. Was there someone here? He looked around him. "Come out whoever you are... I'm not afraid to fight..," he hissed. These words were half true. He didn't really want to fight. He hated fighting. But if he had to, he would. That is, of course, if the attacker was his size or smaller.

Indigo giggled quietly to herself through the leaves as Stellar appeared and began talking to himself. She couldn't exactly make out what he was saying...something about whiskers and barbs and fish...She shrugged. If it was important he'd let her know eventually. Then he appeared to notice her. A devilish smirk appeared on her maw as he let out a hiss. Just a bit closer...
Indigo let out a war cry of a meow and sprang upwards from her hiding spot, pouncing at Stellar and bowling into him. She got up in one bounce, laughing hysterically and barely able to talk. "Hee hee, hee, hee." She gasped for breath. "Sorry...couldn't resist. Too funny!" She collapsed onto her side in the snow, still laughing.
When she had regained her composure she got up, shaking the snow out of her fur. She was done laughing but the humor was still visible in her eyes, her expressions, in the way she moved- in everything about her. She feigned apology. "I'm sorry if I-" she paused, allowing a smirk to appear. "-scared you," she teased.

Stellar was speechless. "You little..." he swiped snow onto her nose. "You didn't scare me," he said in the same tone as she had said it. "Apology accepted." Stellar started walking toward the stream. He smelled a faint smell of something unfamiliar, something he had never smelled ever before. 'Nothing,' he thought, 'probably just flop or something.'
"OK, one thing I have to tell you... I don't think they are out right now, BUT! There is a fish, catfish by name. Well, catfish have barbs, with which they stick you and rip your skin and the like. So, I suggest pinning them down befor eating them. Or you can just not cathc them. But I think your the adventurous type. You want to find out how it feels..," he paused. "... Like me..," he laughed quickly. "Sooo, to begin. We look around, trying to find a well sized hole, something big enough for your head to go through." He stopped at a nice sized hole, and widened it up a bit with his claws. "Then you sit quietly by it, waiting for a fish to bob up. And then--," he saw a black fish's head, and scooped it out with his open paw. "And then you just do what I just did."

Indigo giggled as the snow struck her in the face. Ooh! This guy was fun. She loved having fun. She would have died out here without someone fun. She smirked. "Little what?" she asked, raising one brow, a wicked smirk still plastered on her face. She swiped her tail across her face and lithely jumped onto the ice, skidding a bit and spraying snow up. "Sweet." She winked.
Then he started to talk about something. Some sort of fish. Barbs...dangerous...blah blah blah. She rolled her eyes. "What can some ickle fishy to do me? They can't be that tough if they all end up in cans." She giggled. "That's an understatement. Adventurous type? Ha. I'm more into danger actually. Live for it." She nodded in agreement like she was bobbing her head to some song.
"Big enough for my head to go through? We're not sticking are heads in are we? Actually, that would be so cool. I wanna try!" Then he neatly caught one and brought it out. "Whoah that's so cool. You just like...bopped it!" She laughed. Indigo made her way over the hole glancing down into the blue. What was she looking for again. Suddenyl a small black shadow made it's way below her. Her eyes widened and she reached out, trying to snag it with her claws. She ripped it out quickly and let it drop on the ice, crying out in pain as she did so.
In disbelief she glanced at her bloody paw. "What the hell!" Indigo swore loudly and waved the paw around furiously, finally just dunking it in the snow. She glanced at the fish that was still wiggling, trying to get back to water. "Nasty little bugger," she hissed. Now that she could see the barbs she reached out and neatly sliced it open, killing it quickly. She bit her lip as a wave of nausea rolled over her from the paw. She glanced over at Stellar. "Well that was stupid. You try and warn me about catfish and then the first thing I do is let oe slice my paw open." She rolled her eyes.

"I was going to say that I learned from experience. Put some ice on it. It's numb it and seal the cut." He went over and sat next to her. "It should stop bleeding, even without the ice, but it'll keep it from getting infected." He put his paw on hers and pushed down on the icy stream, gently.
"You know, this stream kind of reminds me of home, before I ran away... Actually, this whole area reminds me of home," Stellar rolled onto his back before continuing, "The way it smell, the way it looks... It is almost a exact replica of my home," he looked at the sky, which was turning gray. He got back to his feet. "There's a storm coming, Indigo... It's not a little one either... If you take that catfish advice as an example that I know what I'm saying, you should probably follow me... It's going to be big." He started to walk away, then remember her paw. 'It probably still hurts...' "Here-" he said, coming back to her, "Let me help you," he took her paw over his, and walked slowly, into the woods, away from the blizzard brewing overhead.

Indigo bit her lip as her paw was pressed gently against the ice. Though she had to admit Stellar knew what he was talking about. The pain was quickly numbed and she breathed out softly. "Thanks." She grinned. "Maybe this'll teach me to listen when someone's trying to give a warning." She laughed softly. It was true. She rarely listened to advice from others who were only trying to help her. Maybe this would[/i[ teach her something. Doubt it, she thought sarcastically and bit back another giggle.
She shrugged at Stellar's next words. "I dunno. It doesn't seem much like my old home. But I like it that way. Not only does it help me define between the two but this is my new life now. It should be different," she finished, perhaps more fiercly then she had intended.
"A storm? Aw c'mon, Stellar. I loooove the rain." Yes, she never would learn. "Besides it's not like we can go indoors." She smirked. "But if you really want to be a worrywart there's a little cavey-thing in the ditch where I first arrived we could head to and stay til the storm finishes. But I will dance in the rain for a little bit at least." She smirked, flicking the melted snow on her tail playfully at him. With another giggle, she bounded after the tom.
((OOC: Why don't we head to Opal's thread?))

The tom walked slowly. "You lead the way, Indigo." he said, then added, "But no funny business!" He trotted quickly, his feet staying on the ground for a little while, then flying up again. He wondered where they would be going, and if they would make it before the storm brewing ahead would break out.
The way there was windy. The snow and rain blew in his eyes, making it very difficult to see. 'Where are me going?' he thought. Was he going to make it without getting soaked? He followed Indigo slowly, the wind blowing him back a little with each step.
