A mixture of emotions ran through Marigold's cluttered cranium, reminding her once more that she had to put some organization into it. The first was fear. It was normal to experience fear- everyone had a fear of something. For Marigold, it was dogs. Canines. Beasts. Whatever you called them, they still caused her insides to quake with fear. Whether she showed it or not, that was another story. But, it always brought her back to her encounter with the doberman and the death of her brother.
She could see it as clear as day now; the hide-and-seek game that they had played. Her searching for her brother only to hear the sound of barking. Pelting towards the sound only to run into the largest dog she had ever seen. The corpse of her brother in his jaws, before being discarded into the brush. The evil cackle it gave, saliva dripping from its teeth. Lunging towards her neck in a vicious attempt to kill. Running back towards the house, wanting to go back and help her brother. It's cruel, but that's life.
The second emotion was revenge. Pure and hard revenge. The feeling of tearing apart skin and bone in an attempt to kill was strong, stronger than fear. She angrily scanned the crowd, looking for a victim. Then, she saw it. A brown and white huksy stood at least a head taller than the cats running past him, chocolate and ice orbs looking too for a victim. Well, it's not a doberman, but I will get my revenge. Her mind was set; revenge was in it.

There was only one thought in Caddy's mind: Fear. Of. Dogs. They had never done anything bad to him except for possibly ruining his life right now, but who cares? He let out a mew; he hadn't wanted this. Mr. Brown was much better than this. He winced and glanced at the scars running along his back. Whipping. Yelling. No, he didn't want that. He turned his head again, new determination glimmering in his large, dark blue eyes. He needed a dog to fight.
He scanned the crowd, and his landed on a husky, standing like a mountain, like a rock in a stream, cat flowing around it. And the first word he thought up was attack. The second was partner. He couldn't fight this dog alone. He looked around, looking for a cat who he could partner up with but saw none. Ummm....alright! He prepared to jump onto that dog's face and claw its eyes out.

Panting heavily as his large muscles rippled threw the large husky's body as he pounced along side a chain link fence, the large mountain of garbage in view. Chief's heart lurched at the sudden yowl of cat and dog colliding at once, like one smooth crash of thunder rolling along the backs of hills. What am I doing!?! thoughts raced around his mind, dizzying him for a split second.
He had questioned himself recently about everything the past month or so. Everything meaning everything he was, everything he lived by. Chief stopped for a moment to shake off the doubt. He had been taught by his adopted pack to loathe the very beings of felines, but Chief had suddenly lost the luster to hate them.
The day at the waterfall, with Caesar-the bloodthirsty doberman-, Indigo-the insane tabby mother- Chief had, that day, started to feel pity for the feline species. Constantly being tortured by dogs, learning to fear canines-the monsters of the strays.
Chief sighed and looked around, indecisiveness catching up with him. "What am I going to do!!" his voice bellowed over the yowls and snarls just on the other side of the gate. Wanting to prove his loyalty to his pack, the pack that took him in when he had no one, or to defend the feline species that needed some sort of reassurance that not all canines were fueled with evil blood.
Suddenly Shiba and Aspen caught his eyes, the head dogs of the pack. Feeling completely frozen by the glare of the she-dog, he felt like a traitor and Shiba knew what he had done at the waterfall. He had defended a she-cat and her kittens from the fangs of Caesar, risking his hide for feline lives. Gulping loudly, she mouthed "Where do your loyalties lye, fight for us Chief" she snarled after, and Chief nodded.
Still confused he kept his eyes glued to the ground as he continued to the gap beneath the gate. Confusion swirled around the giant pups head, but Shiba's glare still painted his mind. Body shaking, Chief squeezed his body through the gap and stood up tall looking at the bustling violence around him. Before he could protect himself, Shiba snipped at his ears and he howled in pain, tucking his tail between his legs.
"Know your place pup!!" She sneered, and Chief nodded again obediently. Walking away slowly into the craziness, he stood in the path of what seemed like a hundred cats, all streaming past him, set on other canine targets. 'I gotta prove myself...but at what cost...' He spat as he continued to walk, letting fate take his destiny into it's own hands.

The silver femme studied her opponent carefully, watching his every pawstep, every breath, every blink. She needed to know as much as possible about him to have a chance of winning this fight. But with every second of waiting the more she hesitated. This dog was huge, much larger then even the largest cat in this area. Marigold was no match for him any day, even on her strongest and his weakest. What she needed was a partner.
A ginger tabby approached the canine, ready to claw his eyes out. He seemed unaware of just how big this dog was. What am I going to do, let this cat be massacred? Rushing towards this other cat's side, Marigold silently unsheathed her shining translucent claws and allowed them to dig into the trash-ridden earth. "Mind if I give you a hand? Seems like we'll need all of the help we can get." She said, somewhat sneering. More cats, more chances of succeeding, which was just what they needed.

Caddy was getting ready to jump onto the dog's face. He was on the tips of his toes when he heard a voice next to him. Surprised, he wheeled around, hissing, only to see that it was a beautiful silver she-cat asking him if he wanted help. Her voice sounded sneering, and he sincerely she wasn't teasing her, because he was extremely scared of dogs. He nodded. Um...okay. Thanks. He was especially nervous around she-cats. Dogs and she-cats? It made him want to throw up from'fraidy-catness. But that waould seem kittish. Plus, I care about the cats of Nenbrook. I wouldn't just let them die at the paws of dogs. His large blue eyes were wide. Let's start attacking. he meowed quickly, leaping towards the dog, claws out.

Sniffing the cat tainted air before him, the brute of a husky side stepped to get out of frantic cats' ways. Huffing loudly, he shook his head and looked around. He didn't want to fight and it was last thing he wanted, but it seemed inevitable. Maybe he'd fight one of his own. Again in huffed, but in hysterics now. A river of cats flowed past him but none seemed to be targeting him, until two caught his eye.
Turning his gaze a little farther out, he saw two cats quietly conversing and then heading his way. Pressing his paws deep into the earth, he furrowed his furry eye brows and licked his lips unwillingly. 'This is gonna suck...' he thought grudgingly, his dual colored eyes flashing pity and self-hate. His heart beat deep in his chest and he whined loudly, making a some-what noticable surrender. He knew the angered cats did not notice so he braced himself for impact.
He didn't want to hurt these cats for they had no idea what they were getting themselves into. He was at least five times bigger, built with sheer muscle and sturdy mass. His thick fur was impenetrable and his fangs could break bone with the right pressure. Even most of his pack mates were intimidated by the pup and would joke around are try to stay on his good side. Trying at a last attempt to spare these felines lives he barked aloud over the mayhem of cats yowls and dogs howls, "Please! I don't want to hurt you!!" Unfortunately, before he knew it he had a ginger tom launched at him with unsheathed claws.
Instinct stepped up and Chief barred his teeth but then stopped immediately as the she-cat's face lit up in terror for a split second. His heart had to take control of this fight, or his mind would rip these cats apart. Claws raked his back, almost reaching his soft skin, he launched into a frenzy of hops to try and shake the tom off. 'What the heck am I gonna do!?!' he thought quickly, trying to make a split decision.

Closer, closer, the two stalked, reaching closer to their predator. Or was it prey? True, the husky didn't look like he wanted to fight them. In fact, he seemed like he was quite content just leaving them alone. Then why didn't you? Why are you even here, killing cats if you believe in otherwise? Dogs couldn't think straight, that's for sure. Maybe this fight wouldn't even be happening right now if dogs had a brain that processed. She could be somewhere else, curled up in a nest, only worrying about the daily issues, mainly hunger. She was a good hunter, however, so she normally had very few problems with life. Just emotional stuff, but so far she was handling that quite well on her own.
She was now quite close to the massive dog, and she started to feel a little frightened. What if this massive brute hurt her somehow? What if she was one of the cats who died? She shuddered. She would not let herself look scared. Her neck fur started to bristle, the rest of her silver pelt soon joining her. Even her sleek tail has soon fluffed out, hoping that she would seem bigger than she normally was. Her claws had unsheathed long ago, digging through an old newspaper into the filthy ground below. Marigold hissed, flashing her white teeth. Any cat that would have dared to face her would have probably backed away by now, admitting defeat. She was dangerous- ready to attack at whatever cost.
The ginger cat leaped, reaching for the dog's face. She watched, waiting for an opening, as the huge husky turned his head and flashed his large canine teeth. A flash of fear was shown in her golden eyes; what if she was bitten by those? They could probably break a poor cat's bone as simple as breaking a toothpick. It was a gruesome thought, and she shuddered. The dog seemed to have seen her, as he quickly closed his mouth, as if he didn't want to hurt them at all. "Please! I don't want to hurt you!!" She remembered what he had said, and she hissed. "If you didn't want to hurt us, why are you even here?" She shouted over the noise, bunching her muscles, awaiting a chance to leap. There it was, as the other cat held onto the husky's back while he frantically hopped around. She leaped, right towards his collar that hung around his neck. Or, more generally, towards his neck, hoping to at least to draw some blood.

Caddy's first thought as he landed on the dog's back was: Wow. I didn't know fur could be this thick. And the first was very thick, as he struggled to scratch him. However, his silver claws just passed harmlessly though his fur, with a soft rustle like a carpet. The tom gave a growl of frustration. Digging his claws in deeper and deeper - where was that stupid skin? So he did something: he dug his teeth in to the dog's ear. That would hurt it, right? And guess what? His teeth hit skin!
One second he was standing triumphantly, his claws gripping the husky's fur, teeth digging into its ear, and the next second, his bones were rattling. The dog must have been trying to shake him off! Well, he did a pretty good job of it. Caddy wasn't accustomed to this fighting stuff. He tried and tried to hang on, but his claws slipped, so he ended up hanging from the dog's ear. But an ear wasn't good enough, so he fell to the trash with a grunt.
He quickly scrambled to his paws. The world was spinning around him.. First, he felt anger. Then, he felt fear. And finally - finally he felt that. Revenge. The dog had just done something to him, it wanted to injure him and his species, and he had to do something about it. Caddy rarely got this angry, but now he was a wildfire. Please! I don't want to hurt you! The dog yelled, but the howl went in one ear and out the other. Good thing the other cat was already there. The tom was a ginger streak as he leapt forward onto the dog's back. He let out a small snicker. This was almost fun.

A blood-curdling howl ripped from Chief's bellowing chest, the instinct to tear these cats apart was adamant now that the tom had ripped a part of the husky's ear off. Chief saw red now and gaining a hold on himself, he tried to shake off the want for feline blood. "If you didn't want to hurt us, why are you even here?"
[/i] The she-cat caught his sudden attention and Chief was finally content that a cat had actually listened to his plea, but the content and joy was short-lived when the she-cat launched her petite body at him. Growling furiously he watched as the orange tom hit the ground not to far away and for the first time in a long time Chief felt pride and the blood lust of a canine slip into his system. The she-cat racked her claws down his neck and tried to bite through his fur, but Chief was suddenly not in the mood to be annoyed. He lifted his body upright onto his hind legs and bit down hard on the silver feline's scruff, ripping her off and tossing her at the tom. Licking his large, white jaws Chief again rested on all fours and glared at the two cats now standing side by side. "Before I joined this fight, I let my mind actually consider the fact that maybe, just maybe, I could stand on the felines' side and take down the murderous pack of strays I once called family. I started to question myself and I wanted to help you, but it just doesn't seem to be that simple now does it?" Chief spoke with a silky voice, unfazed by the hisses of the two rival cats. He knew his words would get to them or his actions would. "You're going to regret the second you changed my mind, vermin!" He snapped his jaws at the cats and launched his body, this time, at the two cats. He seemed to still have a small seed of doubt in the back of his head, but the violence the two cats a thrown at him only fueled his fire, the fire that was against all cats. The pain still pulsing on his ear was a constant reminder that the cats would never understand his kindness and potential to be an comrade. He set his eyes on the tom first, he still felt a softness for she-cats probably because it was an encounter with one that had changed his mind on the relationship with cats that he wanted to lead in the first place. He rammed his huge head into the tom before the cat could leap away. At this point they're was probably no turning back. 'What are ya doing Chief? You made a promise to yourself. You weren't going to be like Caesar of Shiba.' He thought as he turned to the she-cat. 'I'm not acting like them, I'm acting like me. A hurt and misunderstood Chief!' He snarled mentally.
