The silence was beautiful. Of which a most fluffy ginger teen sat quite comfortably on a worn wall outside of the barn. No one had threatened him yet to shoo off from the territory, but rather, he sat and admired the stars within the sky. A smile was settled quite comfortably along his cute little face, his long fur somewhat being blown by the cool air. Now Bailey couldn't ask for a better moment within his young life, for that of the peace of the night was so soothing to ones soul. He pondered about the occasional cat he had met upon his travels, as well as all the worries he once burdened where no longer upon his shoulders, rather, it all seemed to drift away into the night.
Every now and then, he heard an occasional scurry or clatter come from the wood behind him, as the barn was pretty much next to him, yet ignored it with a simple twitch of his ear. His tail coiled around his legs in a sort of warm fluffy scarf as the tip held much bushiness, much more than the rest of his much silky coat. Those warm hazel golden eyes seem to hold much content, as well as his posture being so calm and relaxed. He had arrived and perched himself on this wall at least a few minutes ago for a rest. He was rather hungry, yet he could not resist the temptation to watch the stars for a while. He did this occasionally, it rather did calm him, as well as reflecting on thoughts he enjoyed.
Ever since he was out here, there where no other cats, and around this time, usually many were out on nightly hunts, and the Barn was known to be the busiest of them all for within its hold were rats or mice to satisfy the most hungriest of felines. But Bailey wasn't too picky, and rather, wasn't all that hungry anymore either, instead, he just kept his mind loose and calmly watched the stars in the sky glow and twinkle, and too his amazement, for watching the sky for quite some time, saw one dash past, something also rarely ever seen, a wider smile grew on his face as he instantly knew what it was. A shooting star.
At that moment, he made a wish within his mind and heart. He made a wish, that he would meet the most dearest of cats, gain never ending friendships and a trust which can never be broken. 'A Best Friend' if one would call it. For being a teenager still, it was hard to find a friend in which would consider him mature enough, and still refferred to him as just a kitten still. He hated it. He was going on a year old soon, and all he wanted was someone he could trust, someone he could call friend. Giving a faint sigh, he let the bad thoughts drift into the dark night as he returned to watching his stars.
Trying to pick out the ones which looked most identical to a cat, and naming them. He called them. 'The Freedom Stars' where he knew that every time he would look upon them, all his worries would just seem to fade away.

So long so long Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt Doesn't hurt
A small orange tabby she-cat was barely visible in the fields, her straight tail that poked up above the tall grasses the only clue to her location. With a giggle, Indigo lowered her tail, curling it around her back paws for a moment before she began to run. Who'd have thought there was so much fun to be had in the farmer's fields? She made a face, continuing to scamper along. It was nice to get out by herself and hunt. For the kittens of course. Indigo felt a pang of guilt for leaving them up in the mountains but they'd needed food. Besides, they were nearly a month now.... and she was pretty sure she had scented her sister nearby so Violet could always dash in to save them if anything happened. Her nose wrinkled as she remembered the last time something had "happened". Stupid dogs. Still, she couldn't repress a shiver at the memory.
Hey! This isn't fair, she chided herself, her tail flicking back and forth with irritation. You're supposed to be out enjoying the day, not worrying. She managed a small grin and began to run again, enjoying the feel of the grass and dirt beneath her paws. The tall, crisp rows of corn brushes up against her fur, prickling slightly, but Indigo ignored them. The discomfort wasn't all that bad. She should be focusing on hunting and then heading back. A sigh. She did love the kittens but they were certainly time-consuming. Especially since she'd never wanted to have any in the first, what with the whole not-liking-kittens thing she had going for her. Another sigh.
Her small head poked out of the tall cornstalks and Indigo trotted across the smooth grass, feeling nice to be out in the open again however much she had enjoyed the field. With a start, she froze suddenly, seeming to realize where she was. The barn. And beside that.... the chicken coop. Where she'd confronted Ash. Her eyes flickered back and forth between the barn and the coop. The roof. She swallowed. Which she had thrown herself off in an attempt to kill herself. Her eyes lowered automatically and she darted across the open space, suddenly feeling vulnerable in it. She was breathing quickly now, trembling along her entire body. Flicking her tail angrily, Indigo forced herself to still.
This was stupid. She couldn't possibly let a location have such an impact on her. Was she going to go around terrified of farms for the rest of her life? No! Besides, it wasn't as if she'd fallen off by accident. She'd jumped. As in on purpose. She should be afraid of herself, not the barn. She shivered. That thought wasn't exactly what she'd have called comforting. Indigo rolled her eyes impatiently at her erratic thoughts. Silly her. She was always being too dramatic, always a step ahead of where she should have been. She gave a small laugh before sniffing the air curiously. She was here to hunt after all - even though it would have been closer in the forest. She'd wanted to go closer in town, she hadn't been this close for a while.
A scent struck her and she blinked in surprise, feeling foolish. Not prey scent - cat. She saw him then, a silhouette crouched on the wall. She gave a small smile. It was impossible not to feel slightly apprehensive after the not so amazing encounter she'd had when she'd politely introduced herself to Wolf but Indigo pushed any doubts anyway. It was good that she felt friendly - good that she seemed to be returning to her old self. She smiled. She dashed across the lawn that separated them, flowing fluidly across the grass. As she approached she sprang suddenly, leaping up powerfully to land on top of the wall. Okay, maybe she was just showing off a little bit.
Closer inspection revealed the cat to be younger than she'd though - in his adolescence. No matter. Indigo grinned, dipping her head in greeting. Her gold eyes searched him for any traces of hostility but found none. She felt a twinge of annoyance that she was acting so... careful. Whatever had happened to just bouncing up an introducing herself? "I'm Indigo," she chirped with a grin, as if to prove to herself that that same urge still resided in her. She flashed another fabulous smile. "Indigo Wintertrap if you need to know the full name." She gave a soft laugh, feeling a start of surprise at the bell-like tinkling of it, a sound that she hadn't heard in a while. Recently her laughs had sounded forced or insane or simply hollow. Not real like this one. Not like her old laughs. She smiled again, wider this time. It was impossible not to.

'Don't look back. Only ahead.' Some strange rustling was soon heard clearly in his ears. By twisting one to the location, he saw little amounts of movement of grass but expected nothing bad to come from it. Returning to his star watching, Bailey was just too contented with what he was doing to notice there was presence of another around him. But it was long before he caught the scent - no threat, but friend, it seemed. Lowering his head from the gazing, his golden eyes caught glimpse of the feline before with a small gasp, watched as she approached and easily leapt upon the wall aside him.
Quite astounded as well as relieved she didn't fall, he turned to focus on her with a warm smile, he examined her somewhat, and the low positioning of her head made he feel quite concerned. "I'm Indigo," She seemed quite open as well as confident though, in which Bailey thought nothing wrong anymore. "Indigo Wintertrap if you need to know the full name." He admired her already, her name, seeming to suite her somewhat direct personality. Bailey responded himself with a light laugh to her words, he wasn't one to always want to know the entire history of a name. "Indi..." thinking it sounded somewhat cute.
"Well Indigo, It's lovely to meet you." Giving a very warming bow, his charming smile and flick of his tail, only to then return to looking within those bright eyes of hers. "I am Bailey. Bailey Longcut." he held that smile, something showing off from the fact he was one to never be sad, he was always happy, enjoyable and mostly playful from whatever kitten he still had left inside him. But knowing that this she-cat was older than him, he held much maturity and would talk like a real gentlemen should. As well as hold manners and be polite, in which was something natural in Bailey's personality.
"What might you be doing out here on such a wonderful night?" trying to keep a delightful conversation going. Not that the wonderful silence and stars wasn't beautiful, yet there was a she-cat sitting besides him. He would show all honorable respect as well as the fact he'd never said at least two words to one without messing up or falling all over himself. Something about her made Bailey somewhat curious, she did seem quite happy, her sweet laugh as well as her up personality, he presumed something was wrong to begin with, but maybe he just thought wrong of it.
ooc;; That seemed very short. Sorry. </3

Indigo chuckled, dipping her head in a quick nod to the young tom. "Yep," she agreed with a tail, her lips curved up into a smile even as she spoke. "That works too." She gave a soft but friendly laugh as he made a little bow. Attempting to do the same in response, her paw slipped off the wall and she scrabble for the briefest second to regain her balance, her tail fluffing out behind out. A soft flush warmed her cheeks. So much for super agility and all that. "Oops," she joked under her breath, rolling her eyes as if to dismiss the slip up as nothing important, while her tail flicked quickly as if in agreement. But when she returned her gaze to the tom, her eyes were warm and friendly, betraying no hint of unease of embarrassment.
"Bailey," she repeated thoughtfully, trying the name out for herself, feeling the way it rolled off her tongue, the way it sounded coming from her own voice - seemingly put into more of a perspective that way. She flashed him - Bailey - a stunning smile. "Delighted to meet your acquaintance, Bailey," she meowed smoothly with a quick wink, feeling as if to giggle at the elegant vocabulary she employed so easily as if such were the way she spoke every day. "That's an unusual name," she murmured, her voice treading softly - delicately - as to not cause offense. She offered a small, apologetic smile. "Not to say there's anything wrong with it," she assured, pausing for a moment. "It's just different from anything I've heard before," she admitted, still smiling with the same friendly demeanor.
The she-cat shrugged, a quick motion - her shoulders rose and fell, the fur not ruffling in the still air of the night. She laughed - a tinkling sound. So the old Indigo was present tonight then, hovering like a ghost. But she should have already known that - how else could the grace and elegance exist while no hint of shame of depression clouded her intoxicating happiness. It was a shallow feeling but one she reveled in for she had missed it for so long. It was the resurfacing of an Indigo with no problems and she was both awed by this fact and eager to see where the night would lead her. She felt free of everything - free of her life! - for once and she was prepared to be are charming and flirtatious as she wanted to be - nothing could stop her now.
It was a mirror into the old Indigo but more than that. For Indigo's warm eyes shone with pleasure and her weight shifted slightly with anticipation in her stance yet there was none of the kitten-ish excitement or leaping about that there might have once been. She had grown up. For she was so different now from the young cat who had been abandoned on the streets so many months ago. Almost nine to be exact. And how much she had grown in those nine months! Matured. This was the Indigo she was, yes, but it was also the Indigo she would have been. The Indigo she could have been if life had have continued normally. If she had have flirted around but not fallen in love. If she had have had some fun but not become a mother.
She was struck by this vision of herself - this shining, grown up, mature, tinkling-laughter, sparkling, glamorous self she could - should! - have been. But she said nothing, merely lifting her head up a notch as she processed this epiphany of thoughts in the slightest of moments. For she rejoiced that tonight was the way it was, without worries, and to let it escape her as she deliberated over her current situation would be too much to bear. Having tasted this rich vision of life, Indigo didn't think it would physically possible for her to lose it - at least not yet when it was so fresh in mind. So she flashed another smile at Bailey, her eyes smiling warmly as well. "Oh not much," she replied nonchalantly, a small smile suggestion more as it played its way onto her face.
"Just wandering about the area, I suppose you could say. Out to enjoy to the stars." Her eyes flicked upwards in their direction as she took in a quick glimpse of the heavens before continuing on in the same soft, melodic tone - unassuming. "For it's such a beautiful night, is it not, my friend?" she asked kindly, leaning in closer to the tom as she spoke, the words falling softly from her tongue with all the quickness of her usual ramble but none of the random energy that accompanied it. For tonight she was no bumbling, high-spirited youngster - she was more mature than that though her youth still shone through at the edges like the light of a small torch.
"And you?" she asked softly, tucking her paws neatly together before lifting her golden eyes to stare at the ginger tom, smiling a small smile that hinted and something kept back. "What were your motives on this fine, fine night, Bailey Longcut?" she asked mysteriously, her gaze sharp and focused on the tom though the source of her interest was not something to be so clearly detected.

I hope you enjoy it. I believe that you deserved a long post from me after my in activeness. <3
"Yep," ... "That works too." Her laugh. He adored it, and couldn't help but return a slight light laugh. Well, he was greatful she appreciated the little nickname for her, but he was certain thousands of others had called her just the same. Bailey's mind drifted with thoughts, tail flicking softly with its bushy end waving elegantly. But as soon as she lost her footing, Bailey gasped, the sudden reaction of which he was unsure how to respond. But seeing her regain her balance made him relieved and he resumed to his calm state of mind. "Oops," Bailey watched her, the flush, the innocence she held of her personality. He just kept a firm smile and watched.
"Bailey," His name within her words sounded so different, the tone of her voice made it sound so much more 'important' than it really was. The tom turned his head to focus on her once again. Everything about this she-cat seemed perfect, her personality, her smile, her way of self, and Bailey adored that in a cat, someone who was just... themselves. "Delighted to meet your acquaintance, Bailey," Giving a most charming bow of his head he responded softly. "Grateful that is has been met." The communication of the two cats seemed to be so strong, of which both of their tones seemed to just flow with the wind.
To that little wink and giggle, once again, returned with his own wink and a light laugh again. The hearty moments of two cats enjoying a most delightful greeting together. "That's an unusual name," He admitted that himself, and why a human wanted to call him Bailey anyway, he had no clue, but of course, after living with it for so long for the start of his new life, he had begun to grow on it. "Not to say there's anything wrong with it," Bailey's smile seemed to grow as her words just made him feel quite happy. "It's just different from anything I've heard before, Looking to his paws, his voice was eased as he replied with heart.
"I admit. Even I found it a most unusual name." His own pause before looking back up to the she-cat. "But after a while. You learn to accept the things given to you." trying to give off a sort of reference to life, and the fact that everything had changed on this one night, made Bailey feel so much more different. Greeting other cats with the pleasure and true heart that he held for a younger tom. To the fact he had just met a most delightful and pretty she-cat without messing up was beyond the truth to him, but, to a great extent, Bailey was rather relieved to overcome the small fear of speaking to females, and for once in his life, his confidence regained in a split second of her greeting.
The silence of the night resumed, and the young tom couldn't help but lift his head once again to admire the set of dancing stars above. His smile decreased, but it was still noticeable. Fluffy tail coiling around his legs, and within the process, without him noticing, seemed to brush past the she-cat. Bailey at that moment in time began to think about the most important things, the experiences that you meet everyday of your life and the oppertunity to try something new, but the most important one of all, seemed to be gaining a friend. Bailey was greatful that his aquaintance had been met tonight, for he would never have gained that confidence and show it off to the very first she-cat.
Indi, to Bailey, seemed like a unique difference in life, a special difference, and although every cat holds a different personality, deep down inside, everyone is really the same. Holding the same feelings, emotions and strengths and weaknesses, and that was how he was to treat his friends, the same way that he wanted to be treated. Indigo, to him, was beautiful, and probably to any other cat, but he would not reveal emotions at first greeting, and besides, to a great deal, he was so much younger, and for his intelligence of maturity, knew that a relationship was sure off, but the idea and appreciation of a great friend, could never break and was sure to last, something that he was sure to be greatful for as well.
He soon returned to the world, and regained all focus as he turned back to Indi with a soft smile and warm eyes. "Oh not much," Same situation as him. "Just wandering about the area, I suppose you could say. Out to enjoy to the stars." Exactly the same! Bailey was starting to see a strong bonding between them already, or it was just the fact she was out at the same time and place as him? "For it's such a beautiful night, is it not, my friend?" Baily responded with a soft nod, and to her leaning closer, regained her scent to remember, although, he knew he could never forget that face anywhere. "Most beautiful." was his calm response as he continued to watch her.
"And you?" Well, it wasn't too important, star-gazing, but it was mostly something to be shared. "What were your motives on this fine, fine night, Bailey Longcut?" He thought for a short moment, looking to the stars before returning to look upon his new gaining friend. "Nothing much." A small pause before he gave her another wink. "But it now seems I'm sharing a moment with a friend under the stars." A small light laugh escaped his mouth, and at that exact moment in time, nothing could escape the joy and purity within his heart, that he had just gained something absolutely outstanding. A friend.

Haha, I love it <3 Sorry for taking so long to reply =(
Indigo shifted her weight slightly on the wall, her orange tail curling around her front paws. She couldn't deny that it felt amazing to meet someone new. To talk to someone who didn't know everything about her. To escape everything else. She winced slightly. That was a bit harsh but she couldn't deny it either. But she didn't want to think about that stuff. Not now. She turned her head slightly, facing Bailey, and shot the tom a small grin. Then she had lifted her head, facing the night sky as her gaze roamed over the different stars and constellations. "I love night time," she breathed out softly in a rush, turning back to Bailey flushed and smiling with this new delight. "It's my favorite time of day. It's always cool and breezy and there's something about the darkness... comforting. Like this huge blanket wrapped around you. It makes me feel safe."
She gave a small laugh, realizing how different this might sound. "Most feel more unsafe in the night as if more bad things can happen... But there's just as much evil around in the day time. In the night, you can hide. You can let in envelop you and hold you away from the rest of the world." She let out a soft sigh before blushing slightly at her ramble. To be truthful, she'd sort of forgotten that she was talking out loud and not thinking. Wondering what Bailey was making out of her - and her little speech - she tilted her head to view him, smiling slightly. He seemed like a nice guy so far - pleasant to talk to, friendly, interesting. She could talk about anything but there was also no mandatory need for her to spill out all her secrets. Certain things, she liked being able to hold back...
"But after a while. You learn to accept the things given to you."
She nodded, her brow wrinkled slightly as she processed these new words, thinking them over - involuntarily applying them to her own life. She sighed. "I don't do that," she murmured quietly - a confession. "I hide from things. I wish it would go away." She bit her lip, feeling a flash of irritation. Where had the glossy glamor gone? "But I'll have to remember your technique next time some misfortune arrives," she said with a laugh. Keeping things light and easy. She didn't want to fall into philosophical discussions. Like you did with Ash? Indigo winced. She didn't regret meeting Ash but obviously having the whole incident repeat itself with a new tom starring as Ash and Ash starring as Stellar would not be a good idea. She wanted that drama behind her.
Right?
Of course! She didn't enjoy being depressed and suicidal after dual-rejections and she didn't enjoy having to hurt others. But having two unbelievable toms both loving her... it had been flattering. A wave of disgust rolled through her. How could she even think that? At least she realized that it was wrong of her but still. She shook her fur out, reminding herself that she was still conversing here with Bailey. Now was so not the best time for a deep self-psycho-analysis. She lifted her head at Bailey's words, smiling at his agreement, pleased by it. Her attention turned back to the night horizon. Beautiful. And the moon, casting soft rays through the fields... "Everything looks prettier at night," she said with a laugh, eyes sparkling slightly at she regained some of her spark.
She gave a soft, friendly laugh at Bailey's next comment, a small smirk starting to form on her lips."Oh really? What a coincidence that we're both doing the same thing." She gave another laugh, some of her old bell-like tinkles sounding through it. She smiled.
Admin's Note on November 27th: This thread is being archived due to inactivity, sorry. If you get back and want to take it up, lemme know. We'll say for now that the two cats talk a bit and become pretty friends-ish XD
