OOC ;; anybody can join, the Starlight kittens would be nice as well. =D "Dream the impossible dream, Fight the unbeatable foe, Strive with your last once of courage To reach the unreachable star.” Soft, femminine paws scratched the cold sidewalk as she treads down the streets of the Shire Market. Her grey and white head droops a little. Her paws are now clumsily being placed on the concrete pathway, stupid men, thinking they can make suitable walk-ways out of concrete. She shuddered a sigh, her golden eyes dropping to her feet as she walked on. She glanced up every now and then. She was new to this town, she shouldn't be walking by herself, alone, in the dark streets. She smiled timidly as she felt the almost-warm moonlight on her back, she relaxed a little bit. The night did that to her, calmed her down from her motherly job, un-tensing her sore muscles. She stopped and slunk into a side-street, realizing she had come to the heart of the market place, where all of the pubs and clubs were. She definitely did not want to be a part of that mess if it got out of hand.
She sat down on top of a silver-topped trash can, leaning her grey back against the cool stone walls of an Irish pub. She sighed, relaxing her muscles again. She missed Oren and her kittens so much, she couldn't find them anywhere. Surely they were safe, her mate was strong and loving, he would never let anything happen to her little ones. This thought made her smile timidly again, but it faded as darker thoughts creeped into her small mind. What if he got in a fight, severly injured, died because of lack of treatment, and the kittens were left to fend for themselves? She terribly missed Pearl's big blue eyes and soft, pure white fur, Pearl had gotten that from Callisto's mother. She also missed Summer's warm eyes, and all of her other babies' comfort and fun times. She frowned, if anybody had laid a single paw on one of her babies, she would kill them...probably literally. She sighed and looked at the stars faded above her head, the moon was out tonight, it was full. Aren't full moons lucky?

OOC: I hope you don't mind =} The silver tabby's pelt rippled with her every sleek movement toward the noisy streets of the Shire Market. There was only one reason that would drive her toward the humans aand it was her hunger for food. Sure she knew how to hunt, but it had never been her favorite pass-time and she was to tired to actually stalk something and then actually have to end its life. Sighing loudly she pounced to a dark ally between buildings. Loud music pulsed from the concrete walls and it unsettled her stomache. Humans were wild, especially when they'd have a few too many of that foul smelling liquid. Hissing inwardly, she was usually never this edgy. She wanted so much to just scamper back into the safety of the forest, but she had pride and she wanted to convince herself of something. She had no idea what.
Lowering her kitten body till her soft belly hair touched the floor, she drifted on the semi-busy sidewalk and gently moved between humans to get to the other side. The scents around her were overwhelming to her sensitive nose and she sneezed a few times in responce. As she continued her mission, she let out a yowl as her tail had been stepped on. Spitting curses toward the oblivious humans she bounded toward an empty spot on the sidewalk. Shifting her emerald gaze over her surroundings she picked up the slightest movement of a cat. The felin was sitting a top a trash can. Almost ecstatic to see another feline, Fern did not care whether this cat was annoyed or ready to attack, she needed something familiar to calm her down.
Jumping toward the trash like a newborn kitten discovering a field of flowers she launched herself up onto the can and rested clumsilly at the cat's flank. A She-cat Fern giggled in relief. She wasn't much a fan of toms unless they were potential mates, but most of the time she was intimidated by them.
"Hiya! My name is Fern!" She mewed, her gaze scanning over the she-cats gray and white pelt.

"As an old star fades a new star is born." Her gold eyes stayed on the stars. One of them faded as another sprang to life. It twinkled a song that nobody but it knew. Calli couldn't help but smile as she saw this happy sight. The night sky amused and played with her mind so that she was almost intimidated by them. She shook her splotched pelt and licked her chest, straitening out the oddly-sticking threads. She licked her paw as well and began grooming herself. Lick paw, wash ear, lick paw, wash ear. It was a never-ending cycle, she loved it.
She yelped in suprize as she felt a smaller frame slam into her lower flank. She turned her body until the fragile figure was on her stomache, she smiled lightly in relief as she realized it was a kitten. She scanned the kitten over, it was ovbiously a girl, with a beautiful silver pelt, and stunning green eyes. By this kittens size, it was about nine months or so. "Hello, Fern," she said in the least-motherly way possible. "I'm Callisto, but you may call me Calli." Callisto turned her body over, letting the kitten slide onto the trash-can next to her. "Tell me, Fern, where is your mother?" She asked, probably the most motherly question on the planet. But, of course, she would take this little kitten back to her mom, meet her, and go away. Callisto Starlight blinked, waiting for a response.
But, then she got second thoughts, like she always did. What if she doesn't have a mother? she frowned, What if I just made her upset? What if her mother's dead? What if her mother was evil? What if.. Questions like that flowed through her cat-sized brain. She grimaced, she hoped it wasn't one of those second-thought choices above.

With her silver tabby cheeks now flushing a scarlet read, she backed up a bit from the cat she just trampled. "Callisto! That's a beautiful name!" Fern mewed, her embarrassment ebbing away as she realized the she-cat was not hostile at all, but motherly. As close as motherly could get, she muttered a question that no one has ever asked Fern Silverweed before. "M-my mom?" Ferns emerald eyes widened a bit at the question. Neither was she hurt or upset...just curious. She had never gave a second thought as to where her mother was. Furrowing her brow she looked up to the stars before she could answer the question.
"Well to tell the truth...I'm not so sure. Gosh, I haven't seen my mother in-" She paused to count mentally then turned to Callisto. "6 months I think...I was taken from her and given to an old woman who died sometime after. Her daughter had thrown me into a lake...due to some will or something like that." She mewed in response. Silence filled the gap between Fern and Callisto for a moment when Fern's small ears perked up when she realized she missed on some important information. "Oh! I'm recently met up with my brother though! Cedar...do you know him? Probably not...he's a scardy cat." She giggled at the thought of her beloved brother.
Turning to look into Callisto's golden orbs she couldn't help but ask a question in return. "You seem like such a mother cat, hope that doesn't offend you 'cause it shouldn't. But do you have any kits of your own?" The silver tabby cocked her head to one side questioningly. Waitning for the feeme's reply, she sounded out the low booming of music coming froma nearby bar.

"A special friend is hard to find, hard to loose and impossible to forget." She smiled at Fern's enthusiasm. She had almost forgotten how hyper most kit's are. "Thank you, Fern." She said, the kitten's name rolled off of her tongue, she loved the sound of it. "Your name is lovely too." She wrapped her tail around her front paws, a normal cat position. She listened intently, her golden eyes melted and her face softened in sympathy as the little she-cat told her tale. She watched the little one's face, how it never stopped grinning, she chuckled, kit's and they're hyperness. "I'm sorry," her voice stated after the tale of the almost-adult cat. But then her face brightened a little bit when Fern started talking about her brother.
"I'm afraid I haven't met your brother," She mewed, now she had an urge to meet this kit. "He sounds wonderful," She beamed, happy that this tiny kitten had some family. But then the kitten asked if Callisto had any kits, and she was very motherly. She giggled, "Yes, yes I do." She smiled brightly, proud of her four kittens, "Pearl, Pax, Summer, and Hazel," she paused for a quick breath, "But they're with their father." I hope, she added mentally. The loud music of the pub pierced her sensitive ears, booming. She heard something break and shouts of angry men. How she hated humans when they tasted the foul liquid of beer. She winced slightly, "Would you like to move from this spot?" She asked the hyperactive kitten, suddenly thinking of a reasonable excuse, "Because these...drunken humans are making me uneasy," she studdered, wondering if the small cat was having the same thoughts.
"True friends are never be apart. maybe in distance, but not in the heart."
Admin's Note on November 2nd: This thread is being archived due to both inactivity and the fact that Fern Silverweed is becoming an NPC due to Kel's (who plays her) wishes. We'll say that: -Callisto and Fern talk a bit more and get on well
